CS5 Bridge 4.0.0.529 Error

Hi everyone,
I'm just starting in with PS and some tutorials that actually start with Bridge and Camera Raw. One of the first things the tutorial has me do, is select a jpg file, then click the Open In Camera Raw. No matter what kind of file i do this with, I get the following error:
Bridge's parent application is not active.
Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature.
I have tried finding steps on this issue, but to no avail. If there is a step by step way to clear this issue, I'm open to trying anything.

Hi Curt,
I have just tried your suggestion and get the same thing. Bridge opens up from PS just fine. But when I select a photo from the content window to view in the preview pane, then hit the Open In Camera Raw button, I get the same error. It just doesn't make sense. What does it mean qualifying product has to be run? This is quite frustrating I've checked to make sure the Camera Raw.8BI file is in the plug ins folder as well.
I guess that means that one good suggestion down, and on to the next...I hope
