CS5 Bridge crashes when trying to create a new subdirectory

Bridge version 4.*.*, Windows 8.
Was working perfectly for months then tonight decided to crash when I try to create a new subdirectory.
When I try to create the subdirectory it closes and I get a window telling me Windows is trying to find a solution.
What is the issue have how do I get a remedy.
I thought OK, the application got corrupted, so I will download and install a new version of bridge.
That seems to not be possible as there is no Bridge for CS5 download on the download menu.
What is the solution? Thanks.

Disk utility is crashing when trying to create a new image

Seriously need some help if anyone has an idea of why disk utility is crashing while trying to create a disk image. I'm not finding any other info on this issue.
My HD is failing and being replaced tomorrow and I'm desperately trying to create disk images of both my mac HD and of bootcamp for the new drive being installed.
Any recommendations or suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I do have Carbon Copy Cloner, but if disk utility isn't working, getting it to restore is going to be an issue, though haven't attempted a restore since the HD has to be replaced.
CCC also doesn't clone bootcamp either unfortunately.
Currently running "verify permissions" using Disk Utility and so far so good, it hasn't crashed, it seems to be an issue related to imaging with disk utility.
Then I am going to attempt using the install disk to see if I can get disk utility again and try imaging Bootcamp again too.

InDesign CS5.5 crashes when trying to open ANY CS5.5 document

I am using InDesign CS5.5 and can't open any of my InDesign CS5.5 documents. The message "InDesign has stopped working" appears.
Even when trying to create a new document, again the message "Adobe InDesign CS5.5 has stopped working" - close programme.
InDesign was working perfectly on Friday. Saved and exported a file to pdf, all okay.
Are you able to help.

I uninstalled the whole CS5.5, downloaded and ran the cleaning thing, reinstalled the whole suite but it came up with the message that the install had errors … every other module worked except Indesign which still did the same thing .. it would open, but not an existing or new doc … below is the error log
Did everything again.. same result
did it again but this time also deleted every folder with reference to 5.5 and cleaned the registry .. same result
finally, I did it all again, but this time did NOT install Fireworks (because of the error log below), 32bit Photoshop, Flash or the Apple support thingy .. and it now works !!
so it seems there is a problem with one or more of the above … was there an update around 24-26 May ??
Interestingly there's no icon against the Indesign program menu listing (but it still works) but the icon is still shown against all the 'indd' files
We rang support about 4 hours ago, they couldn't help but were going to look into it and get back to us 'within the hour' … needless to say they didn’t .. hope this 'work around' goes onto the blog and helps others

IPhoto crashes when trying to create a calendar

Error when trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview

Hi,
When trying to create a new Voyager Workspace through Infoview, I get the following Error
"An Error hs occured while attempting to connect to the OLAP server.Failed to initialize(The following component Microsoft OLEDB Provider for Anaysis Services 2005 returned server error(An error was encountered in the transport layer;the peer prematurely closed the connection"
I clicked on New Voyager Workspace & then it displays the list of connections available. When, I click on any connection , then I receive thefollowing error

An Insight of our environment regarding this, we have an clustered environment with Voyager Installed. Platform is Windows Server 2003. We have all the required Microsoft client tools installed on the Production Servers.
This was working fine earlier. We were able to create Voyager WorkSpace at one instance of time. The problem at that point of time was the MDAS Server was not showing up in CMC, i.e as we had clustered environment, only one of the MDAS Server was showing up in the CMC. it was missing the other MDAS Server. but, at that time we were able to create Voyager Workspace.
So, in order to view the other MDAS Server in CMC, we had changed the name of the Server in CCM for both the MDAS Servers.
In detail, Server A.MDAS Server & Server B.MDAS Server- they both were not showing up in CMC. only one of them was showing up in Servers list in CMC.
So, in CCM we had changed the name of Server1.MDAS server to be Server1 &
for Server2.MDAS Server to be Server1 as well.
AFter this both the MDAS Servers were showing uo in CMC.
but, when I login into Infoview & click on new Voyagerworkspace & select a connection, I recieve the follwoing error

Hi,
Try to create the objects again and take the screenshot of SU53 when you get the error and see the authorization object for which you are getting the error here.
It is possible that you dont have development authorization.
Also the issue could be that the system is not configured to create the objects begining with Z.
Check this with basis as well.

I've been running into this error message when trying to create a new subsite

The formula cannot refer to another column. Check the formula for spelling mistakes or update the formula to reference only this column.
Note everything was working fine before, this just started happening recently...
At first I thought it was because of my template, but as I have tried, I can't even create subsite using the templates provided by Sharepoint...
has anybody encountered similar problems recently?
Any help is apprieciated!

If you create asubsite using the SharePoint default template, what error did you meet? Was it same with the error?
Which site template did you use for the parent site?
Please check whether you can create subsite at other site collection.
In addition, please trace the exact error by using Correlation ID.

NI Configurator 4.1 - Crash when trying to create custom tab

For some reason I have problems when trying to create custom tab in NI Configurator 4.1.
Every time the result is same: Error - NIFCONF_ERROR_APPLICATION_EXCEPTION - Parameter is incorrect...
Any help in this?

Finder crashes when trying to open a new window

When trying to open a new Finder window, Finder will crash and relaunch but won't open an actual new window. Neither can I use the Go To Folder menu.
I tried relaunching Finder, restarting my MacBook and repairing my disk. Unfortunately, nothing has helped so far..
Any ideas?
Small addition: I first noticed the problem while trying to open a DMG file. I don't have any reason to suspect this file is malicious though.

I faced the exact same problem.
Please check How to activate an event handler manually? Read the COMPLETE thread... especially the second last entry. Valery has given a perfect workaround for this problem.
And it works absolutely fine too !

AIS freezes when trying to create a new metadata catalog

I'm really new in EIS/AIS. We are using EIS and Essbase version 9.3.1. I just created a new odbc connection to our data warehouse (Oracle in OraHome92). I tried to create a new catalog but EIS freezes. When I tried to "end task" the console, it closes and would get a message "olapbldr error". Need to know how to fix this. New Portal User options are disabled when trying to create a new User

I am trying to create a new portal user profile using the administrator login. While doing that, I am getting all the options ( used to create the new user ) as disabled. Can anybody let me know the reason & solution of such a problem.

I just want to know if you are able to modify the attributes of an existing user. If not then you have been assigned the User Admin role (read only). Please check that. If yes then revert.

InDesign CS5.5 crashes when trying to open or create files on Yosemite

Hi,
I've just recently migrated to a new iMac running Yosemite. Photoshop CS5.1, Illustrator 5.1 and Bridge 5.1 are working fine but I'm having major issues with InDesign CS5.5. Every time I try to open an existing file or create a new one the programme freezes and I have to force quit.
I've trawled the forums and have done everything mentioned including uninstalling/reinstalling, removing temporary cache files and preferences, removing Data Store, deleting the Adobe font list, and removing the SING component.
I ran Activity Monitor and have uploaded the details to Sample of InDesign - Pastebin.com and the Crash Report to http://pastebin.com/KdEEWadj
Please help, I'm getting desperate!

CS5.x is not compatible to Yosemite. It may or may not run, if it does never without problems.
Adobe applications should never be installed via migration. It is always making problems in the long run. If you have done so, deinstall them immediately, run Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (available on Adobe's Website) and install any application from it original installer.
I recommend to upgrade to a CC subscription. CS6 might also work, but it is now very old and 2 to 3 versions after CS6 have been released. If you get a new system upgrade it is NOT guaranteed that it will work as CS6 is now at the end if not out of its product life cycle.

CS5 Illustrator crashes when trying to save.. help!

I've recently upgraded my imac to snow leopard and cs5. I've been using Illustrator this morning to creates some graphs/charts and am finding more often than not it's crashing when I go to save it (saving as a standard cs5 ai file). It saves sucessfully say 25% or the time, crashes the rest of the time...
It's really frustrating, any ideas on what it could be? PS, INDD etc all seem fine, it's just Illustrator.
I've copied the error report I get after it crashes - it's really long - so let me know if I should post it...

I agree with Scott - a little more information is required, most importantly to where you are trying to save. This could be anything from networking issues to disfunctioning external drives to drives simply not spinning up in time after energy saving to AI itself having a problem flattening the file for creating the PDF chunks on safe. How are we supposed to know? The crash report is probably useless, so there is no point in posting it.

Photoshop CS5.1 crashes when trying to open Manage Custom Sizes in print window. Help??

I have OS 10.10.2. When printing and trying to access the "Manage Custom Sizes" in the print window, my Photoshop CS5.1 crashes. I have not had problems up until now. Not sure what changed. Can anyone help me figure this out?

A preferences reset should fix it.
Macintosh - CMD-SHIFT-OPTION immediately after you double-click the PS icon.
Release those keys when you see the Delete Photoshop Settings dialog. Click "Yes" to do this.
You may have to go into the CS5 application folder and directly double-click the Photoshop.app there.

After upgrading to OSX-10.8 (mountain lion) CS5 Bridge Crashes when opening.

I know others have commented on this "issue". I also notice that elsewhere on the web, there are reports of it being a Radeon ATI issue. I've tried repairing links / permissions, tried re-installing the latest Bridge update... All to no avail.

Have you made your user Library-folder visible in Finder?
I did that in the Terminal and shortly after that the crashes started for me.
I just updated to 10.8.2 and that made the user Library-folder invisible again.
At the same time Bridge started behaving properly.
Not saying that's anything other than a coincidence.

SBS Console crashes when trying to create a report

My SBS2011 console keeps crashing when I'm trying to send a report. It also shows WSUS as unavailable. Here is the error report and the contents of the Console. log file.
Things I have tried so far:
1) Repairing the SBS Console using 2nd SBS2011 install disc from Add Remove programs
2) Rebuild the SBS DB's as instructed here
3) Made sure the Windows
