CS5 Does everything need to go in a container?

I am doing my 1st website with CS5 which I am going to import into a Wordpress site. I am starting the layout, read a wonderful article by David Powers about layout and div tags. I started by simply putting my photoshop banner on the page. Then, I read the article and came to the part that talked about Content id for banner and I am wondering does everything on the Website need to go in a container for CS5? If I leave my banner where it is then start with the container for everything else will all browsers be able to see the banner? Would like to get this right from the start. This is a pretty simple website I am trying to put up but I have actually worked quite a while on certain things. (Wind up doing something totally different, & simpler when the software does not behave as I think it should.) Need to get it up ASAP (like everybody else) I know there are often more than one way to do things in web design. I just want to try to get things right from the beginning.

Dreamweaver and Flash were Macromedia products, Flash started out as FutureWave Software's FutureSpash Animator and was acquired by Macromedia in the mid 1990s. Macromedia noted that FutureSplash made files that were downloadable over dialup. They also acquired the Backstage HTML authoring-tool and application-server. Macromedia renamed FutureSplash Flash and used a lot of the stuff in Backstage to make Dreamweaver into what they called a "Roundtrip HTML" editor, allowing people to visually edit a website and also edit in HTML. I think Design View does kind of show what Netscape's original Navigator browser used to show in the mid 1990s, but it's certainly no comparison to Live View or a real web browser.
I remember they came out with ColdFusion right around 2001 after acquiring Allaire. They kept working on Flash and Dreamweaver and integrated server-side code management into Dreamweaver with ColdFusion code hinting. I'm not sure when they started doing code hinting for JavaScript and php. I wasn't making websites that long ago. Adobe did a stock swap in 2005 and bought out Macromedia. Adobe then sunsetted their own website creation tool.
The first version of Adobe Creative Suite was released in September 2003, long before the Macromedia deal. They released CS2 in 2005, but had not yet acquired Macromedia by then. Macromedia Studio 8 was replaced, modified, and integrated into two editions of the Adobe Creative Suite family of software from version 2.3 onwards. Adobe called those "Creative Suite Web Premium." In March, 2007, Adobe released CS3, the first Creative suite to integrate the Macromedia tools, and Adobe offered upgrades to CS3 that integrated the Macromedia tools for those who had not purchased Macromedia Studio 8 or the "Creative Suite Web Premium."
When Adobe began selling CS3 applications they were released in six different combinations called "editions." Design Standard & Premium and Web Standard & Premium began shipping on April 16, 2007, and Production Premium and Master Collection editions began shipping on July 2, 2007. The latest released CS3 version was version 3.3, released on June 2, 2008. In this version Fireworks CS3 was included in Design Premium and all editions that had included Acrobat 8 Pro had it replaced with Acrobat 9 Pro.
So I can understand why you might have remembered Dreamweaver CS2 as it was offered in the CS2 suite as the Creative Suite Web Premium. It was, essentially, compromised of Dreamweaver 8, Flash 8, Flash 8 Video Converter, Fireworks 8, Contribute 3 and FlashPaper.

However as I have Oracle Java SE 7 installed and SE 6 is deprecated and no longer supported for security reasons.
Apple is actually responsible for Java 6's security. They take Oracle's code and do whatever is needed to make it compatible with Apple's OS. Java 6 is still getting security updates from Apple. Versions 6 and 7 can also exist on the same drive. They won't interfere with each other.
Also I am assured in no uncertain terms by Chris Cox over at Adobe that Photoshop CS 5 does not use java at all and that the java error message and so called dependency is just an error on the part of Apple.
I did find a topic where Chris stated that for CS6, which I know is true. I've installed CS6 (and CC) on a newly formatted drive in Mountain Lion, and neither made any mention of requiring Java. Could have sworn CS5.5 and earlier did you Java for a few functions. Though I likely only assumed that since that version and earlier always causes a prompt to install Java if it isn't already on the drive.
So is there any way to run Photoshop with SE 7 only installed or even better with no java installed?
It doesn't really matter much if Java is installed. Java 6 should put an app in the Utilities folder by the name of Java Preferences. Open that, and you can completely disable it by undoing the check boxes.
Perhaps there is a way to make OS X stop thinking it needs java SE 6 to run Photoshop CS 5.
Apple would have to make a change to the OS itself. It's a not a user accessible setting.

Well, depends on what your CS5.5 actually is. If it came as a volume license, the upgrade terms would be determined by the specifics of the volume licensing model chosen... Anyway, that's way too specific. Contact sales support by phone or web chat to haggle things out.

Hi, thanks for that. I just had a live chat with adobe and they sent me
through the system specs for CS5.5 and it said a 64 bit processor, nothing
about 32 bit, but I have no doubt you are correct because I do think I may
have read that somewhere else myself. I am not computer savvy so am loathe
to uninstall etc. Am looking to update my computer and getting CS6 so
hoping that will sort the problem out. Do you know much about plugs in? I
do have a few plug ins such as topaz adjust, nik silver efex, imagenomic and
one one perfect photo suite 7. It has been suggested to me that I uninstall
them all but again not too good at that sort of thing.

I run windows 7 pro 64bit with no problems. Like harm said, there is really no need for ultimate unless you need the 2 extra features it comes with that Pro doesnt have.

Sorry to say it, but I think you can see from Bob's response that there's no way to solve this rapidly.
Did you take an image of your Mountain Lion install before upgrading to Yosemite? Roll back to that. If you're not in the habit of taking a snapshot of your system before performing operating system upgrades - get in that habit. If you are dependent on anything at all on hour computer, having a reliable backup method in place is essential. If you don't have a Time Capsule, or some other way to run Time Machine onto a disk that's not in your computer, go set that up yesterday.
If you can't just remove Yosemite and roll back to Mountain Lion for whatever reason, you can partition your drive so that you can install both Yosemite and Mountain Lion on the same drive, and then boot into Mountain Lion when you need to work in CS5. Or you can take your Mountain Lion disc (I assume you have one, no?) and then use it to create a virtual machine in something like VirtualBox to run Mountain Lion from inside Yosemite.

It now is frozen. itunes says it's in recovery mode. The only options it gives me is to Restore so I say ok... after a few seconds I get get error 3014. It says this ipad can not be restored. It has a button to click for more info which leads me to this page: Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"
Please help, I have a back up I just can't get to it. Why did this happen!!!

I have since tried a few more things... suggestions found online...
I tried using another computer, same house same internet link though... it downloaded the update again, took about an hour & a half but as soon as it finished it said it could not restore because "device could not be found". I unplugged my ipad then plugged it back in so it would "see" it but it just went right back to the "ipad in recovery mode needs to be restored"... then the same error 3014.
I don't know if the computer can sense the ipad or what's going on. On the screen when it wants to do the restore it has an icon of an ipad & it says "Serial Number: n/a
The next thing I tried... was right clicking iTunes & choosing "Run as Administrator". It started another hour & a half download of the update... but then when it was done it went right back to the error 3014.
Is there nothing that can help?!?

Force rendering of sequence that does not need render

I'm having a sequence where I'm applying Timecode Reader.
When playing it plays fine on computer screen and does not need any render.
I'm using the plugin WMV Studio HD from Flip4Mac. That works fine, but when I export the sequence using the plugin, the resulting .wmv is a clip that says "Unrendered". Fair enough, so how do I force FCP to actually render the timeline prior to exporting to .wmv?
One way is to create a self-contained QT file and then import that into a new sequence and export to .wmv, but it takes time and disk space.

Look at your menu Sequence/Render All and Sequence/Render Selection settings and make sure all the options are checked. Then type opt-r or select everything and type cmd-r...

Once you have restored your new phone from the backup of your old phone and ensured that everything is working correctly, you should first turn off "find my phone" on the old phone and then erase it, before you get rid of it.

You can use XP but it has to be in a Virtual Machine and OS X as the host instead of as a dual boot system with XP in its own partition. That is how I run Windows on my Mac, in a Virtual Machine.
Take a look at VritualBox from Oracle. It's free and works very well.

Reporting Services Add-in for Sharepoint- does it need an SQL Server license?

In a new project we will be creating an SSRS in Sharepoint integrated mode. For this we'll need SQL Server and Sharepoint on that box.
We'll also have one or more SharePoint Web Front End (WFE) servers. To allow them to connect to the SSRS-in-sharepoint-mode box, and to present the user with the right user interface for doing so, I believe we can install the Reporting Services Add-In for
Sharepoint on the WFE servers.
The question is, do we need to have SQL Server license for each WFE server where we use the Reporting Services Add-In, or is it free to use?
We've had advice that we need to buy a SQL Server license everywhere we use the add-in, but I am not sure this is correct.

The Reporting service Add-in for SharePoint can be downloaded free on Microsoft Download site. That means it does not need any license on the add-in.
