CS5 doesn't respond

I get the logo and the spinning wheel, forever spinning. Updating is not an option because upthere the wheel is spinning, no cursor. Time to ditch, right?

Unfortunatly I have even worse troubles now because I lost my OSX. I am not in a panic about my data because I got the apple and the spinning wheel,then
blue screen , period, whereas the time I really lost everything I had an interrogation mark.
Jeffrey, I didnt had a chance to try your tip, and I cant see the technician until monday, they are still closed for the holidays, yes, Christmas, come on give them a chance for a little rest, this is Italy!

Photoshop CS5 doesn't respond to Lightroom

Hi. I have this posted in the Lightroom forum, but am getting no responses. Thought maybe there would be a response here in the Photoshop area.
I have just recently upgraded both Photoshop CS4 to CS5 and Lightroom 2.7 to 3.0. They're great upgrades and am enjoying the new features. However, there is one hangup that I am running into. When in Lightroom, I do a right click over an image to Edit the Image in Photoshop CS5. Most of the time the image will then open in Photoshop and I can then proceed to do my edits. But, after a short while (after a couple hours), this procedure stops working. When I click in Lightroom to Edit in Photoshop CS5, Photoshop will begin to load up, but then the image to edit never appears. I then quit Photoshop and reload it, but then it still doesn't respond to Lightroom. After quitting both programs and retrying the whole process, Photoshop still won't respond.
The only way to fix this I've found is to restart or log off the comp (I'm on a mac with OSX 10.6). Some on here have said to delete the preference files. I've done this, but still no luck. I've deleted Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled it, and still the problems persists. I've updated my CS5 to version 12.0.1, and still the same problem. Has anyone else out there experienced this problem and found a fix?

what else do I have running... well I have my Outlook opened and Windows Explorer, Messenger, Skype...I'm not sure that's what you mean by "what else I have running"?

Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't respond when connecting to server

I don't know what happened but last night I was working in DW and everything was running fine. I got up this morning to continue where I left off and when I try to connect to my site (local testing server), DW hangs and doesn't respond. I let it be for a bit but when I came back, it was still not responding. I shut it down and restarted it and found that its functionality was fine until I tried to connect locally to my site.
I created a page in PHP and everything worked ok. Then I created a testing site on my WAMP server for this new page. As soon as I tried to connect to this new testing server, DW hung and wouldn't respond.
As you may have guessed, this is a server issue.
I looked at my Wamp server and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. DW just seems to have developed issues with it on its own between last night and today. I don't know why Dreamweaver would all of a sudden take issue with my WAMP server on its own but it has and I don't know how to fix it aside from a complete re-install.
Can anybody lend guidance before I dive into this last step?
edit: I forgot to mention...when I restart DW I notice in my files list for my site, that DW created a new copy of my addme.php file as addme_alxr88pca.php. I don't know if that helps but I figured I should add that.

these and similar events are the blame for it, that I prefer a program which works "outside" of the DW. My reason is: for each task in whatever area we work, we search for the experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
So I use to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server, by using filezilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:

Adobe Photoshop CS5 * 'Save As' doesn't respond

I installed the trial of photoshop cs5.
The first problem I had was 'error 16' which I fixed with a simple search here on the community help.
But I have another problem.
As you may have guessed from the topic name, my 'save as' doesn't respond.
I have saved .psd files just by clicking 'save' but I can't use the 'save as' button.
I'll click on it and the menu will disappear as if nothing happened.
So now after I'm done editing a photo, I can't save it as a JPEG, GIF, or any other file for that matter.

Worst case: trashing prefs by keeping ctrl-alt-shift pressed while starting Photoshop (and then using the dialog) should allow you to open it.

CS5: Bridge not responding

When I open the mini bridge then select browse files, my favorites, recent folders, etc do not contain any files. In the content box below it says "waiting for bridge cs5..." and doesn't respond. Does anybody have an idea of what is going on?

I have this same issue, and in services, switchboard is stopped and cannot be started - Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. I have looked at hundreds of messages about this, and tried many of the solutions with no luck. Permissions seem fine, switchboard ini was recreated, etc.

I am experiencing the problem "your computer restarted because of a problem" from the past 3 months and its mostly everyday, also I click on the report it to apple button and it says report submitted but apple doesn't respond. HELP!

Also I am using a mid 2012 macbok air.

Apple doesn't respond to crash or panic reports. They're for internal use only.
Any or all of the following third-party system modifications may be contributing to your problem:
OpenVPN client
Driver for unknown USB network device
BlackBerry Desktop Manager
If the panic is recurrent, I suggest you uninstall them, one at a time, according to the developers' instructions, to see whether you can determine which is at fault. A conflict between modifications may be involved. Reboot and test after each uninstallation.
Back up all data before making any changes.

SAP Business One 8.8. Report doesn't show and workstation doesn't respond.

Hi all,
We have a customer with:
SAP Business One 8.8 (8.80.237) PL: 19 HOTFIX1.
Sql Server 2005
Crystal Reports 12.1.3.1028
We have done some reports wich run under server machine but not under workstation.
Even i've done a dummy report without any data connection and it doesn't run under workstation (server machine works perfectly). This dummy report only show a label with static text "Hola".
We don't receive any error message, SAP Business One client doesn't respond and in task manager you can see "not responding" message.
SAP support connected to our customer installation and they suggested us formatting workstations computers. We did it but the problem persists. Thank you very much for your help.

Screen ipad doesn't respond during video viewing home sharing with multiple iOS devices simultaneously

A have a problem with the videos app and iTunes home sharing on multiple iOS devices.
This is my setup. On my iMac 2006 with Snow Leopard I have:
- 100+ dvd's ripped in my iTunes movie section
- 600+ episodes ripped in iTunes TV-section in 35 TV-shows
- 1 apple tv, 1 iPad 2, 1 iPad mini
On an average evening my family is watching different tv-shows simultaneously on the apple tv, the ipad, an iphone, and an ipad mini.
This is done through home sharing on the one iTunes library.
All updated apps, software etc..
What happens on the ipads, after viewing for more than 10 minutes, the user interface doesn't show up when tapping the screen. The touchscreen doesn't respond, only the home button works. Clicking the home button closes the app, but the sound of the video keeps on playing. Opening up the videos app again gives a black screen with sound still playing and still no button or UI.
The only workaround which currently works is killing the videos app. Power off the ipad and power on again, reconnect to the shared library, wait until it has found all the content (1+ minutes) and startup the tv show again.
All in all, a nasty way to pause your viewing or switching to another movie of tv episode, or even wanting to finish viewing.
The problem has haunted me for a year now, patiently waiting and hoping software-updates would fix it. They didn't.
A fix would obviously hugely improve my user experience, getting it on par with Apples usual quality of service.
Anyone familiar with this problem? Apple: is it possible to fix it in an update?

I'am also starting to get a new problem - sometimes when waching a movie on iPad or ATV it just quits the movie and you have to start it again
on the iPad most of the time it also shows the wrong cover art. I tried all the hints here, and i works for a day or two then its wrong again

Lumia 900 doesn't respond while charging

Hi, so basically my AT&T Lumia 900 doesn't respond to my touch during charging. If I unplug the phone it responds fine, but when it's plugged in it can't pick up any of my touch commands. Even if I draw across the screen very slowly I get nothing. I live in New Zealand and we have 240v/50mA power sockets over here but the charger says that's within the range it's supposed to handle. Is this a hardware problem with my phone and how can I fix it?
The phone is running windows phone 7.5 (ver. 7.10.8779.8). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've only received the phone on Thursday and this is the second time charging it (I read somewhere that I should drain the battery completely the first few times to condition the battery, but after finding that some phones bricked themselves when the battery was completely empty I avoided it). In both cases the same thing seems to be happening however the first time was not as severe I feel and I attributed it to the screen protector thing (the "Talking and Driving it can wait" thing from AT&T already attached out of the box). When the phone is at 100% though I have no lag.

When I got in an email a link and I click on it, firefox openes the first time, but when I click on the next link I get the message that firefox is active but doesn't respond.
Opening by clicking on *.htm(l) files works fine even multiple.

I got a message that Photoshop quit unexpectedly and the next time I tried to open Photoshop it's not responding. I've tried restarting my computer already.

Ok, I deleted preferences and then restarted my computer. Photoshop is still not responding. When I click to open PS it looks as if it will actually open, but then it gets held up. The colorwheel shows up here....

My macbook pro was on sleep mode, and when i opened it again, it wouldn't come off the black screen. It is very hot and also doesn't respond to the power button...

I will go to the Apple store. I just thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone had a solution. They repaired this macbook before twice. The last time they replaced several things to fix the screen. I just threw out the question to see if someone could save me the trip to the store.
I was curious if the new programs (like lego games) can cause the computer to run to a point to blank the screen.
And curious if there are other things I can try to get the screen up and running.
