Cs5 education edition

Hi --
I'm trying to install CS5 education edition on my new iMac running Yosemite v10.10.1. I do not have a disc drive.
Although there is a "download CS5 products" section on this site, I can't seem to locate the download for the education edition. Is there another one I should be installing instead? Or should I just cough up the $30 for a USB disc drive and do it the old fashioned way?

the packaging seems to indicate it's a less intensive version than the other ones
Features and functions are identical.
Differences are pricing (obviously) and some minor licensing conditions (e.g. eligibility, can only buy one copy per platform per year, not for resale, cannot upgrade to another Educational version though upgrading to retail version is OK)

Reinstall of CS5 Education Edition

I've got a new PC without a cd drive and I'd like to reinstall my Education edition of CS5 Design Premium. When I download from here Download CS5 products it tells me my serial number doesn't apply to this product. Is there somewhere else I can download the Education edition from?

Can I buy both CS5 Education Edition and CS6 Education Edition?

Hello everyone!
I recently bought Photoshop CS5 Extended Student Edition. Now I realised that CS6 is soon to be released and I'm all excited about all the new features. The education page of Adobe says that I am only allowed to buy one product every 12 months. My Question now is:
Are CS5 & CS6 considered the same product and only different versions or are they different products? So can I buy CS6 Student Edition when I gets released or do I have to do the commercial upgrade from my Student Edition? The latter one wouldn't be my favorite choice because ~450€ is a lot of money for a student...

If you bought CS5 Edu. very recently, you should get the upgrade to CS6 Edu. for free.

This is what I have done. CS5 Edu. for $199 with a free upgrade to CS6.

There are no upgrades for edu products. You simply buy a complete new license at the discounted price.

Installing a education edition

I have bought a Photoshop cs5 education edition. From information added with my product I learn that I should enter a website before installing the program, but when trying to do so I got a message that told me that I should visit this page. I bought this program second hand as the formr owner neither was a educator nor a student. How can I register my program?

That is impossible. S&T versions cannot be sold. That's the whole point of providing eligibility verification by turning in your school credentials....

Problem purchasing CS5 Design Premium Educational Edition

Hi all,
I want to purchase the CS5 Design Premium Educational edition.
I live/work in Singapore and am attending distance learning at the New York Institute of Photography. While my classmates are enjoying the benefits of using CS5 with student discount, I am stuck using GIMP, which while good, does not offer the same functionality or stability as Photoshop.
The reason Adobe customer services give is that it's because I live in Singapore but my educational credentials are from USA. These need to match for the purchase to proceed.
Surely this should not matter? Does anyone know of any way I can make this happen?

This forum is not officially monitored by Adobe. It is a user-to-user forum. As such, the answers you get are primarily speculation and not authoritative when it comes to sales and licensing issues. My recommendation would be to call Adobe Customer Support and ask to speak with a supervisor. Explain the situation that although you are resident in Singapore, you are part of a distance learning, internet-based course based in New York with the New York Institute of Photography. If the supervisor cannot assist you, ask to be connected to a manager. Eventually, you should be able to talk with someone who understands your situation and can resolve the issues.

Serial number incorrect for Adobe Photoshop CS5 extended education edition

I received a serial number for my Adobe Photoshop CS5 extended education edition, but I get the message: this serial number is not valid for this product.
Apparently it's not possible to send an email to Adobe NL, so I hope someone can help me out.

Is there any issue with upgrading CS3 Education edition to the new CS5 Web edition? I would just purchase the CS3 to CS5 upgrade?

There is no CS3 Education edition.
You have a regular CS3 suite (standard, premium, master, web, etc) which can be upgraded to a new CS5 suite... you just paid the educational price for CS3.
The CS5 product pages on adobe.com show upgrade pricing for whichever CS3 suite you have.

I have a 22-space alphanumeric product code for my Adobe creative suite 5.5 web premium package.
It does not have the 24-space alphanumeric code that is the product code sequence asked for when signing up for adobe procuct code approval. Adobe keeps asking for a correct code and I only have the one they gave me in the package, called a product code, but adobe keeps rejecting it.
Also, the program never loads correctly - it says this at the end of the 45-minute loading from the disc. That is getting awfully tiresome as well. I have everything closed as they request, and do not know how to turn off the virus protection which is windows defender.
Also, mine is a new teacher edition, and when I go to the page for getting my approval, it will not open that page. I have used Adobe products before with typical annoying hassle but always eventual success. So this really is perturbing.

How Do I Download Without a Disk Drive - CS 5.1 Ext. Educational Edit.

When a new laptop is purchased they rarely have internal disk drives, so the disk option is impossible. I searched for this specific program type and I cannot find it. Can anyone provide me with a download link to Adobe Photoshop CD 5.1 Extended Education Edition? Thank you for you help.

Here is the link for cs5 downloads. I did not see an educational version though. Perhaps same software just license number determines which you have? (Guessing)

Creative Suite Education Edition Licensing in Australia

I have been round in circles for ages! I cannot find a difinitive answer to my question, or even somwhere to ask it! Why can't I just email somebody?
While doing an online graphic design course in 2011 i qualified for the Education Edition of CS5. (NOT the student edition)
So my question;
In Australia, can I use the Education Edition of CS5 for commercial purposes - can I use it to make money at all - or do I have to upgrade to the commercial license?
I understand that I can upgrade to CS6 in the store, and that would be the full version. But at the moment I can't even afford that! So would I be doing something illegal if I used my Education Edition to make money?
If noone can help me on this question, can you give me a link to where I should ask it? No matter where I click; contact, support, help, I keep getting pushed back to the FAQ or forum with no answers to my question.

I know of no restriction on academic versions other than that prohibiting you from transferring the license.

How do I upgrade to CC from CS6 education edition?

So I am no longer a student, and in the past, I have purchase CS4, CS5 and CS6, but all have been the education edition. I wish to upgrade to the full version of the CC and would like to take advantage of the "Special for CS Customers" price of AU$29.99 per month. However, when I input the serial number for my CS6, I am told that I am not eligible for this discount. Can someone tell me why?

HI, thanks for the answer, John. But it hardly seems fair, since I have been a loyal customer for years, purchasing the all the student versions each time they came out. Surely there is a way to offer this special to graduates wanting to upgrade?

Is there a way to transfer Aperture files to Photoshop CS5 for editing? I recently had a crash of CS5 Bridge. It seems to have caused a problem with Aperture. So, I reinstalled both CS5 and Aperture. Before installing CS5 I uploaded NEF (Nikon RAW) files to Aperture. Now I have reinstalled CS5 I want to use it to edit the same photos from Aperture, as I know more about editing in CS5 than Aperture. I tried to export to CS5 but, Aperture would not give me that option. At least I could not find it.

You can set an external editor in the "Aperture Preferences -> Export " settings.
Just set this to CS5.
The resullt of your external edit will create a new version of your image.
