CS5: How do I clear all width points from a line?

The width tool is cool, but how do I get rid of all points I created if I don't like them? I know I can delete them by shift-clicking all, but it's a lot of work and I'm not really sure I'm getting them all. Is there a clear all somewhere?

Select the path and open the Stroke panel. Look for a pull-down at the bottom labelled Profile. From this, select Uniform.
The same setting is available on the Control Panel and in the Stroke settings in the Appearance panel.

There's no need to "clear" it first.
If it is not selected to sync, it will remove it from the iPhone.

I do a Helluva lot of survey work online filling out surveys, surfing web ads and the like every single day. They really clutter up History but the only way I can think of to get them off History is by right clicking each one separately and then deleting it! I tried right clicking one and holding down CTRL key so I could multi select and clear the lot of them at once but this will not work! Deleting all History even for 1-4 hours at a time is not an option because I use History to find old websites I have been to or need. Ideally, I'd like to set History so it auto deletes surveys as I finish them and close out of them or simply have History ignore surveys and web ad surf sites completely. PS- Firefox is always causing Adobe products crashes as well as causing its own crashes, causing my Windows 7 OS to crash and causing my Taskbar and my Start Bar to vanish w/o warning. Why can't we email this stuff to Firefox or Mozilla directly? What do they have to hide eh?

You can use the Library to erase certain pages of History. It's all conveniently organization by date and time.
*To access the Library click the clipboard icon and go to Show All Bookmarks -> then click History on the left side pane. Alternatively you can also get here by pressing Ctrl + Shift + B

It's not Firefox that causes Flash to crash. Adobe Flash is just a piece of crap and has frequent problems. You can folllow my advice below to disable Protected Mode in Flash. Mozilla is working on an alternative called Shumway to replace Flash. Shumway is on the Nightly build however it isn't ready nor is it enabled by default. It's pretty buggy.

Your notes should be stored in your backup, so if you have backed up the iPad and that backup does contain those notes that you deleted, you can try restoring from your backup. If you haven't backed up the iPad since you created those notes, they are gone.
If you backup with iCloud only, restoring from backup involves erasing the device and then going through the setup all over again and finally restoring from the iCloud backup. This article explains the process quite clearly.

If you backup with iTunes, connect the iPad to your computer, launch iTunes and right click on the device name on the left and select - Restore from Backup. But before you do that .... turn off auto sync in iTunes - without connecting the iPad - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and check the box at the bottom of that window in order to turn off auto sync.
Email messages are not stored in your backups.

In Auto, it updates every time you connect it.
If you do not change anything it iTunes, the update will take only a second because there was nothing changed to update.

How do I clear all of the java applets that have been downloaded?

I migrated firefox and other applications to my new mac so that I would not to reenter all of my passwords saved by firefox. However, it appears that the java applets were also transfered and one of these applets does not work with the new intel mac. I was able to get the same applet to work in safari, and I was able to delete the applet from safari as well, but was unable to do so in firefox.
So, how do I clear all of the previously downloaded applets, or even better, just the one I want to? Clearing all of the recent history didn't work.

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not an iTunes "account." The account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use to sign in to the iTunes Store and make purchases. It is also used with iCloud. iPods (that are not iPod touch) are associated with your iTunes library, not to your Apple ID.
So, I think you probably just need to set up (or update) automatic syncing for the iPod. If it's not set up to sync those new songs, iTunes still syncs the iPod, but it syncs nothing
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. In the sidebar, the iPod appears under DEVICES, when it is connected.
Select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of buttons, starting with Summary. Click on Music next to Summary. This is the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music (if it's not already checked). If your iTunes music library fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. On the lists below, checkmark the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the iPod. When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.
One convenient way to set this up (if you can't sync the entire iTunes music library) is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library. Name it "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want). Put ALL songs that you want on the iPod on this playlist, including those new songs. Back on the iPod's Music screen in iTunes, select this playlist under Playlists. Going forward, to update songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs). The next time you connect the iPod (or click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod.

We are many people involved and the things is that all our previous changes from last year are still visible. I would like to clear all the changes from last year to get the text "clean".
We want to have new track changes to see all the new changes that are being made.
How do I do that?
I am working in Indesign and the team I am working with are using Incopy. I do the design and they handle the text.

How do I clear all my messages on my iphone 4S as I cannot gain access to my messages at all?

Firstly, I receive sms's (alarm signals) on a daily basis and have not been deleting them due to the fact that I want to keep record of them in the event that I may be needing them as evidence at a later stage. It has now reached the stage where I cannot open my messages at all. I only get a blank screen which eventually returns to the menu.
At present I have 1904 unopened messages due to this.
What do I do to gain access to my messages and how do I clear all my messages on my iphone 4S so that I can start fresh? I have already created a backup.

Let me give a bit more detail of the actual problem.
My Messages Icon indicates that I have 2325 unread messages. This is true, because when I do tap the Icon to enter the Messages I get a totally blank screen. This screen eventually returns back to the menu page.
I believe that I have to many messages on the phone and therefore I am sitting with this problem and would like to erase all messages.
I have tried reseting the phone and reactivating it from a backup, but this still reloads all the messages back as well. So I am totally frustrated.

The Duration of Stills is set with Edit>Preferences to the number of Frames required, where ~ 30 Frames = 01 sec. of Duration.
Unfortunately, the Duration cannot be reset (Edit>Preferences) for material that has already been Imported. The procedure is to Delete those Imported Stills, and make the change, then re-Import them, and you will get the Duration that you have reset.
The only other option at this point is to manually Click-drag on the Head, or Tail of each Still in the Timeline, to adjust the Duration. I do this with the Info Panel open and visible to make it easier. Personally, unless I am well into the editing process, the Delete, change and re-Import option is my choice.

PS - the ability to alter the Duration en masse for Imported Stills in the Project Panel has just been added in PrPro CS5. I do not know if it has been added in PrE 9 though.

External hd that I used for data died... it is backed up on time machine... how do I restore all my data from time machine to a new external hd?

I installed the Lion OS this weekend. After Spotlight tried to index my external hard drive (that I use to store all my data), the external hard drive died. I expected that to happen at some point. The hard drive was an old FireWire 400 LaCie that I had working with my 2009 iMac (FireWire 800) by using an adaptor cable.
My Time Machine backs up both my Macintosh (internal) HD and my external data HD. I know I need to buy a new external drive to use to store my data.
But, then what? How do I get all the content from the backups of the old external (data) HD to the new one?

Another one that Apple doesn't make obvious.
