CS5 Image Processor - One script, different image sizes and save locations

Hello guys!
is it possible to make one script to convert several images to different image sizes which should be saved in different locations?
The xml structure is clear, but photoshop accepts only the second "script" if i load a test xml file with two scripts in it.

i solved the problem with an action in which i changed the picture size 4 times (4 times saving for web included)
its perfect for my needs!

Help needed to enhance Image Processor Pro Script to save transparency in TIF

Hi everyone,
this is my first post in this community.
We have a droplet which reduces the resolution of tif images to 72dpi and save the tif image with transparency. This works fine, but it took to long for the whole process of many picture in different folders. That's the reason why we searched for another script which can preserve the folder structure and set the resolution of every tif image to 72dpi.
We found Image Processor Pro, which does exactly what we needed. The script works perfectly in CS5 and CS5.5 as it saves the tif with the transparency. Those saved tif images could be used in InDesign with the transparency.
BUT Image Processor Pro script works not so perfectly in CS6 as it seems that this option to save a tif with transparency is not implemented or does not work in the script. The result is that those converted tif images are w/o transparency in InDesign. That's a huge problem for us.
This is the point where I need your help. Neither I have experience yet with jsx-files nor with the right syntax of it.
Is there a way for anybody of you to implement / enhance Image Processor Pro so it will save tif with transparency?
We used the latest German Version of Image Processor Pro: 2.3.1 (link: http://www.russellbrown.com/scripts.html)
(The German version contains only german on screen texts!)

Possible causes:
1) It probably has nothing to do with your image files, but you won't know until someone else tests one of them. You could create a small 50% gray TIFF file with transparency and post it, assuming you know it exhibits the issue with IPP.

There are two installers for Image Processor (CS5 and CS6). Did you download and install the CS6 Version Installer?
3) Another possible solution other than modifying the script is to reset the PS Preferences file. When strange things happen in PS with no explanation this usually fixes them. My PS CS6 was inflating all new files by 1.4MB. After examining one of the files it turned out PS was inserting a Costco printer profile into every new file. So don't automatically assume your PS image files are not somehow being corrupted and causing loss of transparency in IPP. Creating a new Preferences file resolved my issue:

You may want to record your old Preferences settings prior to creating a new one, but test it first with the default settings.

How do I non-destructively sharpen, re-size and save my images if I'm using both LR & CS6?

Hi guys {and gals}...
Ok... here is my dilemma. I am having an incredibly difficult time understanding the best way to sharpen, re-size and save my images for both posting on the web and giving them to clients. I completed my first paid photo shoot (yay!), but as I finished editing each image, I re-sized it and posted it on my FB photography page. I later learned from a fellow at my local print shop that this is a destructive and irreversible edit (not yay! ).
So... before I pull out every last strand of hair on my head, I REAALLLYYYY need to get a good grasp on how to do the following things so that I can establish a good workflow: 1. Sharpen my image well {w/ Smart Sharpen}. Does this have to be done on a flattened image... and isn't flattening irreversible? 2. Re-sizing my images for both web display and client work/printing. Is it true that once I set it to 72ppi for web display, that I lose a great deal of the detail and quality? Do I need to create a copy of the file and have 2 different image sizes?
I am self taught, learning off the cuff through tutorials and constant error... and I just want so badly to have a smooth and beneficial work flow in place.
Currently, my workflow is as follows... 1. Load images into LR and convert to DNG files 2. Quick initial edit & then send into PS CS6 3. Perform detailed/layered edit(s) 4. {I know I'm supposed to sharpen now, as the last step, but am afraid to permanently flatten my image in case I want to tweak the layers later..} 5. Save the file (unflattened) 6. Go back into LR and Export the file to the appropriate place on my hard drive
So... at this point, my image is still at 300ppi {not appropriate for web display}, unflattened {I'm told flattened images are ideal for client work and printing} and not as sharp as I want it to be {because I don't know when to apply Smart Sharpen filter}.

There are a lot smarter guys on this forum than I so will let them give you ideas on the sharpen workflow.
Is DNG the same as RAW in that all the edits are non-destructive? With RAW all the edits are put on a separate XMP file and believe with DNG the XMP file is written to the image. In this case would suggest you save the DNG then create a jpg to send to clients or on web. A jpg will not save layers so it is by its nature flattened.
Since you are new to this try this test to understand ppi. Click on Image/image size.
      Change Document size to inches.
      Now uncheck "unsample image" as if this is checked all the pixels will be modified to adjust to the new size. Unchecked no pixels will be changed.
      Now adjust the resolution from 72 to 300 ppi (pixels per inch). Note that the Image Size in pixels does not change, but the document size changes. This means resolution is unchanged.
      Now click "resample image" and change the resolution. Note how the image size changes and document size stays the same.
Bottom line quality of picture is the image size in pixels. THe larger the numbers the higher the quality.

What is the resolution of the image that you "dragged"? The resolution is the number in pixels per inch (ppi). If you dragged a significantly lower resolution file into a higher resolution file, it could result in a blurry image.

Day one script errors on Compiling a
nd Viewing App. Video will not work

Well today is working, makes me look foolish, not the first time.
When I had trouble the error message was that the script had script errors. When I dismissed or ignored the video never started.
That's ok I have enjoyed the tutorial so far, best I have used.
Before i tried to learn flex 3 and gave up trying to use a database. My daughter wants me to build an e-commerce site for her homemade jewelry, so maybe it can be done in flash 4. Dreamweaver says you can connect to a business model that let's you build an e-commerce site, but I think it has not come out yet.

Image processor [in Script menu] not recognizing PSD files?

I've been using PS since CS. I still keep a copy of CS2 on a computer simply for the Script -> Image Processor. Since CS5, the processor no longer recognizes many files. These same files will batch process with no problem in CS2. Anybody figure out why the processor has recognition issues? Thanks for any help.

File names are visible using the "select folder" button, directing the script to locate the files to be batched. When selecting the folder, you will see the files within the folder in the adjacent tab [windows or mac]. CS5 put a limit of 8 [if I remember correctly] characters on the processing script. Additionally, some symbols which are permissible in other file naming protocols, no longer worked.
The experience is wide spread among heavy users of this batch tool. I have seen many "google" searches on the subject...which is how I identified the naming issue in CS5. The issue exists with JPG and PSD files; Adobe RGG and, sRGB; each processed from RAW or other JPG/PSD files. I simply cannot determine why one set of files work, and another will not, yet all will work on older versions of PS.
Once again, these same files causing issue, will process without issue on a CS2 version I keep for just such occurrences. I've been using the batch image processor since CS to apply actions to folders of files.

Image Processor type Script Request

I would like to get a jsx that acts much like the image processor, with more options. Here is what i need to be able to do to an individual folder containing 500+ jpgs.
I need to:
-open the image
-resize via pixels w/h
-save in a selected folder (new or existing folder, with same filename.jpg)
-Save for Web at 25% size into another folder (new or existing folder, with same filename.jpg)
-Convert to BW (this could be done by desaturate or via an action)
-save in a selected folder (new or existing folder, with same filename.jpg)
-Save for Web at 25% size into another folder (new or existing folder, with same filename.jpg)
-close without saving.
I would really like to be able to have a GUI that allows me to select the source folder as well as select the 4 destination folders. I currently have an action that does this for me, but it requires me opening one of the images to record the 4 destination folders' locations in the action. Which has become too time consuming. Eek.
I am experienced in coding, but i am not experienced in jsx at all. If anyone wants to help me write it, that would be great. If someone wants to write it for me... ;)

Images not displaying at their normal size, and not all keywords displaying, why?

Not sure what's going on inside Adobe Bridge CC 2014.1, but why is it that my images are not displaying at full size. Bridge says they're displaying at 100% but I know that's not the case, because when I open the same images in Mac OS Preview (OS 10.10.1 Yosemite) at 100% they're much bigger. Is there a viewing preference setting I'm missing?
Also, I use Bridge and Photoshop on two mac pro desktops: one at my office and one at home.
At work, I created more than 30 keywords in Bridge for several hundred images that reside on my external thunderbolt hard drive. But when I take that hard drive home and connected it to my home mac and then open Bridge, only a handful of keywords appear. I don't see the full list of keywords that I created at work. But in Bridge, I didn't see any option to save or export keywords as a file.
Although the image metadata does appear, because whatever keyword i assigned to an image at work does display on the home mac, I just don't see the entire keyword list.
Can or should Bridge therefore only be used on one computer? Is it not possible to transfer the entire Bridge keyword list from one mac to another?

I've discovered what is causing the problem, but I still need a way to fix it, if possible.
The cause of the problem is that in Windows 7 Control Panel > Display I have set the size of "text and other items" to 150% (otherwise everything is much too small too read on my screen's recommended resolution of 1920×1080).
I discovered that Irfan Viewer was also displaying at the incorrect resolution, but I managed to solve that problem by right-clicking on the IrfanView.exe icon and following Properties > Compatibility and selecting "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
I tried the same procedure with Thunderbird, but it made no difference. It is still displaying at the incorrect resolution.
Any suggestions?

HP Laserjet M401A could not set different paper size and tray on printer properties

Good morning all. I'm experiencing a issue setting custom paper size and tray in this printer properties. I would like to set up three different printers, on the same port, to print directly on a specific tray (without enter the printer properties and select the proper tray and size). I have this printer with the additional third tray. I have set up A4 in tray 1 (bypass), custom size in tray 2 and 3 on the printer. When i enter the printer PROPERTIES i want to set up set custom paper size in tray 2 and 3. No way.The only sizes i can see is 13x8, a4, a5, letter, legal, and so on (there are maybe 7 choices). So i choose NOT SPECIFIED. When i go on printer PREFERENCES, i can set up my custom paper size.But when i choose my custom paper size, the tray 2 and 3 go away and i can only choose bypass or tray 1.If i set up A5 (for example) the tray 2 and 3 re-appear. I have done extensive research online and looked for relevant posts in other forums, plus I downloaded a LaserJet 4L service manual. The verdict: A common cause of this no-power problem is a faulty DC controller board, blown fuse(s) on it, or other circuitry glitch. I am sure that the paper tray is inserted correctly.
So I decided to cut my losses (I'm not inclined to pull the printer apart to try to fix it--it's not worth my time) and tossed the printer. It's not cost-effective or time-effective to spend a lot of money or time to resuscitate old hardware, except perhaps as a learning exercise.

How to resize a .jpg to a specific size, and save in new location

Basicly what im doing is placing an image that the user has into a database, turning it into a specific size. They are all going to be .jpg files from begining to end. The user gives the location of the image, and i would like the image resized to a fixed size, 260x120, and then save that image into a directory already created, and save as a .jpg . How would I go about doing this?? any help would be appreciated.

In addition to Irene's solution (that I believe require the Vision toolkit) the is also the G-Toolbox that will do this without Vision. I think Georege Zou sell a license for less that $50.
I may have heard this is built into LV7 but I am not sure (I am still finishing off an app in 6.1, so I have not opened that box yet).

Making the frame same size and same location as the field.

In my report, some frames only contain one field. To save space, I need to make those frames same size (same width, same height), and same location as the field. It means the size and location of those frames should exactly match their fields.
But, for those frames which only consist of one field, when I use the mouse to adjust their sizes and location to match their fields, Object Navigator will show that their fields moved outside of them. Is there anyway to solve this problem?

After Putting filed into parent fame , if u off the lock option , then field can go outside.

When I try to move from one selected image to selecting a different image, lightroom (new install of Lightroom 5.5) will keep the previous image selected, so I always end up with two selected images - why?

For example, I will select the first image in my grid view, then let's say I want to work on the fifth image. When I click on the fifth image, Lightroom leaves image one selected, as if I have held down the Command or the Shift key to select multiple images. This is not what I expect. Then I am forced to command click the image I no longer want selected - this happens every time I try to move to any new image - the previous one(s) stay selected. I have tried a reboot of my machine but still this happens. Also, as a further bug, if I leave my grid with no images selected at all, after a few seconds Lightroom automatically selects the first two images in my library and highlights them - without my even pressing a key! This is really weird behaviour. It's really frustrating as I like to use my keyboard arrow keys to move through my library of images, but when Lightroom keeps two images selected it just ping pongs between those two images. I deselect and try to move on, and it again leaves the previous image selected! By the way - I am not in Compare mode while this is happening - just in standard browsing of the library... Help please!

Can I have different font sizes and alignments within the same title?

Apologies, haven't been able to search through previous discussions as I'm in Madagascar and my internet connection is not adequate today!
I'm trying to put scrolling credits on a project. I want the list of credits - music, photos, text etc. - then underneath that a nice little thanks paragraph followed by the date and website. I want the paragraph, date and website to be centered, but when I try to do that it centres the whole thing and messes with the format of the credits part. Changing the font size also makes all the text the same, but ideally I need a couple of bits to be different.
Does that make sense?
There doesn't seem to be a way to just highlight the bit that I want to change - it's all or nothing. But I know it's been done before, because I've got a video made last year which has this exact thing as the credits. Unfortunately the person who made that isn't here at the moment.
Any help very much appreciated, this has to be finished within the next few hours and I've been struggling for days. I tried to do it just as several screens of text instead of the scrolling thing, but couldn't format it properly for the credits.
As a complete aside, I've just downloaded the same song 3 times from iTunes and every time it's dodgy and cuts out after 1/3 of the song. Don't know whether this is to do with my bad internet or what... but any help with that would also be amazing.

Not currently possible.
A computer/catalog is a unique construct.
An iOS device can only sync to one computer/catalog at a time.
You can sync many devices to one computer/catalog but not the other way around.
