CS5 Master Collection Installation Issue

I have a 15in retina display mac running on mavericks. I recently ran a clean up software for my computer and it deleted all my adobe applications. When I try to install from the disk I get the error "installer failed to initialize" and adobe support advisor did not detect an issue. I've tried just about everything and I can't get it back. Any help would be much appriciated! I can supply any additional information you might need

CS5 Master Collection installs Application Folders for unselected apps

I elected to install only some of the applications from the CS5 Master Collection but the installation created several folders for apps I did not install.
These folders have the application in them BUT the application will not launch.
For example, I did NOT install "Premier Pro CS5" but there is a foler in Applications called "Adobe Premier Pro CS5". In this folder I see "Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.app". If I click on that I get the message:
"You can't open the application Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 because it may be damaged or incomplete."
Is this normal?
Why would folders and non-functioning apps be installed when they were specifically NOT excluded by me during the install process.
I'd like to fix this without messing up anything. There's no "unisntaller" in these situation.

I have exactly the same problem and situation with CS5 production premium.
I reinstalled after PC re-build and it won't update. The Manager actually downloads all the apps (tried several times now and it downloads the 512MB of files) and then says there was an error. If I click on the customer support link it takes me to a page on Adobe about serial number problems : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html.
Suggests a serial number issue, but it is correct and the base product from discs installed and registered correctly.
Come on Adobe is this your way of forcing us to the cloud? How do we update products?

CS5 Master Collection - installation error

I reinstalled my mac and now trying to install my old adobe software to Yosemite. I got CS5 master collection (now downloaded the installer from Adobe website) but after asking password, (which the installation accepts) it gives an error message: Asennusohjelman tietokannassa havaittiin epäyhtenäisyys. I´ve tried to restart the computer but no matter what, still the same error message (Translated to English) Installation of the program in the database were observed heterogeneity . CS4 Master Collection Installation Issues

I recently purchased a new Dell Studio Laptop and attempted to install the CS4 Master Collection last night. There are 5 Application Disks total in the package. It starts out fine, goes through the first disk, asks for the second (had minor issues with the 2nd disk being read by the lap top, but once it was recognized that installed as well), then when I insert the third disk, it gives me a screen that just says "exit." At first I thought the additional two application disks may just be extra apps, but when going through my systems menu, many of the programs that should be there are not installed. What is happening? And how do I fix it?

CS5 Master Collection: So much installs, even when I choose not to.

Hello everyone! I have installed Adobe CS5 for the mac, but have been very choosey in my install options. During the install, I only chose Photoshop, After Effects and OnLocation to install, as well as unchecking ALL of the other options. Low and behold, after the install in my Applications folder I have: Adobe After Efects CS5, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Encore CS5, Adobe Media Encoder CS5, Adobe OnLocation CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Premiere CS5, Adobe Soundbooth CS5 folders.
Inside the Encore, Media Encoder, Premiere and Soundbooth folders are small apps that if I try to open it says: "You can't open the application xxxx because it may be damaged or incomplete".
Why do they install those folders if I chose not to install those apps?!

Yeah, I remember having a similar issue with CS4. CS5 seems to be so much worse, however.
For example, if I run the CS5 Master Collection installer and install ONLY Photoshop CS5 standalone without any additional components, it will also install Third Party Content for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Soundbooth, etc. leaving folders for those apps. Why is any of that necessary?
Anyways, I was just curious if anyone else has this issue or if it's an isolated issue.

What is the "Content" DVD used for in CS5 Master Collection?

Sorry--I know there must be some cue I am over looking somewhere, but what is the Contents DVD fo in the 4 disk CS5 Master Collection Installation Pack? I have installed everything on a new MacBook Pro. First 3 DVDs are very logical (in terms of what they contain and how to install them), but the 4th one just has a bunch or read-me files in various languages. Is there something on this disk I need to install?

Buying the right Lenovo w530 for CS5 Master Collection; I should be smarter, but time is an issue!?!

I'm buying a Lenovo w530 for graphic design and video editing on CS5 Master Collection - the whole package!
I have various solutions for HD setup, but no knowledge of hardware or setup in general for a complete machine where the various parts complement each other in a way that there is no obvious bottleneck coming up to fast.
RAID 0 SETUP ON A LAPTOP VERY IMPORTANT???
I'm following lynda.com for various online lessons as this is not my primary occupation, and one of the instructors stresses the need for a raid 0 setup.
Having to do this means ordering directly from Lenovo in the US, because they need to install another devise in the machine.
I prefer not to as I live in Denmark. It's so much easier dealing with local suppliers, and the possibilities that’s already in the machine. I realize that in desktop systems you'll prefer larger solutions with more drives and faster connections. In the Lenovo I’m limited by different setups.
HARD DRIVE SETUP - SSD or 7200 for OS and then what for working disc???
Do I really need raid 0 on a laptop for working files (small web videos) or will SSD Sata III do?

I hope my system will recognize the NVIDIA card as a friendly given that’s it’s so much newer than my Master Collection CS5.
I'm curious as to where in this system the first bottleneck will be when I start working.

I do not own and have never used a W530, however having played with various laptop and desktop setups running CS5 I have the following to offer you:
- Suggest the i7-3720QM over the more expensive and ever so slightly faster i7-3820QM CPU
- Suggest sticking with the K2000M vs. the K1000M with 1/2 the number of cores (you will need to do the ever so common "hack" for Adobe to recognize this GPU; don't worry, this is not a risky step, you simply need to find and delete a text file after installing the software)
- You can go with either a 7200 rpm boot or SSD choice for the OS / programs; the SSD will perform normal PC chores faster, but the performance level of the boot drive will not impact Premiere Pro as much as the additional drive(s) that you have
- Suggest you get a third party solution for adding the optical bay 2nd HD (or SSD); I would choose the 750GB Seagate Momentus to insert into it (NewModeUS, eBay sellers, etc.); this will save you a lot of money and will work just fine.
- In the USA you can request 16GB in 2 sticks so presumably you could expand to 32GB later with minimal cost; do this if you can
- Suggest start with W530 loaded and configured with Adobe and see if it performs fast enough for you. And, if you want more speed, you could add a USB 3.0 (W530 does not support eSATA like the W520 did) external drive to give you a bit more performance.
- Of course big, fast, expensive SSDs would be faster (and smaller) for your optical bay and / or USB 3.0 connected drives, but they are very expensive (per GB) compared with 7200 laptop drives and you most likely will be just fine without it.

How do I get a copy of Acrobat with my CS5 Master Collection???

I activated my Adobe CS5 Master Collection (running on Snow Leopard) with a serial number purchased from CDW and everything went smoothly, but after a few days of using the core products I typically use I noticed Acrobat was not included in the installed software.
Now, Adobe lists Acrobat PRO as an included product in the Master Collection and rightfully so since it contans just about every product they make.
When I emailed Adobe about this but the only response I got was some pre-formatted auto-response probably sent to me from the help desk in India or something. The auto-response said absolutely nothing about how to obtain a copy for the Mac, and just had a link taking me to the Acrobat home page, which basically says there is no trial version of Acrobat for Mac available for download.
I gave up on it since I do not use Acrobat very much but now I am in a situation where I do need to have Acrobat Pro to finish a job and I cannot figure out how to get a copy installed with the Master Collection.
There was no disclaimer indicating that you would not be able to get a copy of Acrobat when I purchased the downloadable version vs. buying a boxed DVD set, so I am expecting there must be a way.
Adobe's help has been pretty much useless when I emailed them, and I cannot find anyone with the same problem on Google or in the Adobe forums, so is there someone out there who can give me the answer or help me?
If I have to purchase a seperate copy of Acrobat so be it, but since it is supposed to be included with the Master Suite that would be kind of stupid if I have to purchase a copy of Acrobat seperately.

CS5 Master Collection Update Fails Mac OS 10.9.2

Hello All,
I have a CS5 Master Collection Student Teacher Edition installed on a Mac Pro, which is licensed, registered, and works perfectly. I recently purchased a Mac Book Pro running OS 10.9.2 which I installed the entire Master Suite Collection on with no issues during the install. I use Photoshop mostly and have not had any issues using it over the past week since the installation. I noticed that the Adobe Application Manager Icon had 11 updates which I have tried to install multiple times over the past week and receive the below. If anyone could assist me I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I found this in another thread. I think it will help you. You have to download the updates manually, but it works for me.

Just received the CS5 master collection upgrade from CS4 Web Premium. The minimum requirements state XP sp3. Our systems here at work are still on sp2. Will the software install? If so, what issues might I face?

Hi! I've installed Photoshop CS5 Extended trial on a Windows XP SP2 workstation, I got a warning during installation saying that my system didn't fulfill minimum requirements, but no problem after.
As I've only tried with Photoshop, I suggest you to also check with trial versions of Illustrator and Flash.

PS and AE will not open in CS5 Master Collection

Window7, 64-bit, CS5 Master Collection, LightRoom 3…
Have had no trouble since loading CS5 (which was difficult) for the last month. Today, PS 64-bit, LR 3, AE and Mocha for AE will not open. These programs close with a similar error message “Adobe Photoshop 64-bit has stopped working. All other programs in CS5 including Photoshop 32-bit will open?
Any suggestions on what to do to correct the problem? After spending 2 weeks installing CS5 this is heartbreaking - I wish Adobe would pay for my downtime!

I ran the Adobe Support Advisor and it came back without identifying any errors. However, when I closed the advisor this grayed out message come up:
"Creative Suite Product Install Inspector has identified the issue(s) that needs attention. An issue report has been generated. Adobe will use this issue report to helpaddress the issue(s) in the future."
I just spent 2 hrs with Adobe Tech Service and they could not identify a problem and suggested that I remove all 3 programs and reload. LR3 almost loads - it is in "Web" trying to open a flash gallery plug in when it fails. The other programs do not open at all...
I am going to remove and reinstall LR3 first and see what happens. Then I will (unless someone suggest something else), reinstall Windows 7. Reinstalling W7 was the only thing that worked for me when I initially installed CS5 for the first time...

i downloaded the cs5 master collection, but in the installation its not showing english in the list of languages. what do i do now? can i get the language files for english from anywhere???

Which Adobe.com website did you download the software from? In English speaking countries, you should automatically get a download of a version with English. Otherwise, you will get a version with the local language.
