CS5 Master Collection: So much installs, even when I choose not to.

Hello everyone! I have installed Adobe CS5 for the mac, but have been very choosey in my install options. During the install, I only chose Photoshop, After Effects and OnLocation to install, as well as unchecking ALL of the other options. Low and behold, after the install in my Applications folder I have: Adobe After Efects CS5, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Encore CS5, Adobe Media Encoder CS5, Adobe OnLocation CS5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Premiere CS5, Adobe Soundbooth CS5 folders.
Inside the Encore, Media Encoder, Premiere and Soundbooth folders are small apps that if I try to open it says: "You can't open the application xxxx because it may be damaged or incomplete".
Why do they install those folders if I chose not to install those apps?!

Yeah, I remember having a similar issue with CS4. CS5 seems to be so much worse, however.
For example, if I run the CS5 Master Collection installer and install ONLY Photoshop CS5 standalone without any additional components, it will also install Third Party Content for After Effects, Premiere Pro, Soundbooth, etc. leaving folders for those apps. Why is any of that necessary?
Anyways, I was just curious if anyone else has this issue or if it's an isolated issue.

CS5 Master Collection installs Application Folders for unselected apps

I elected to install only some of the applications from the CS5 Master Collection but the installation created several folders for apps I did not install.
These folders have the application in them BUT the application will not launch.
For example, I did NOT install "Premier Pro CS5" but there is a foler in Applications called "Adobe Premier Pro CS5". In this folder I see "Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.app". If I click on that I get the message:
"You can't open the application Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 because it may be damaged or incomplete."
Is this normal?
Why would folders and non-functioning apps be installed when they were specifically NOT excluded by me during the install process.
I'd like to fix this without messing up anything. There's no "unisntaller" in these situation.

I have exactly the same problem and situation with CS5 production premium.
I reinstalled after PC re-build and it won't update. The Manager actually downloads all the apps (tried several times now and it downloads the 512MB of files) and then says there was an error. If I click on the customer support link it takes me to a page on Adobe about serial number problems : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html.
Suggests a serial number issue, but it is correct and the base product from discs installed and registered correctly.
Come on Adobe is this your way of forcing us to the cloud? How do we update products?

Trying to install CS5 Master Collection onto a macbook pro with no disk drive.

I would like to install my cs5 master collection onto my macbook pro, however it does not have a disk drive...instead, it's an air drive. Does anyone know if there is any way to download these applications without the disks? I attempted to contact customer service, but apparently adobe does not offer customer support for versions below CS6 (which is unbelievable to me). Thanks.

Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first BEFORE you click the download links.
Install the trial then enter your serial number to license it.

CS5 Master Collection Installation Issue

I have a 15in retina display mac running on mavericks. I recently ran a clean up software for my computer and it deleted all my adobe applications. When I try to install from the disk I get the error "installer failed to initialize" and adobe support advisor did not detect an issue. I've tried just about everything and I can't get it back. Any help would be much appriciated! I can supply any additional information you might need

I reinstalled my mac and now trying to install my old adobe software to Yosemite. I got CS5 master collection (now downloaded the installer from Adobe website) but after asking password, (which the installation accepts) it gives an error message: Asennusohjelman tietokannassa havaittiin epäyhtenäisyys. Error When Trying To Download CS5 Master Collection

When I try to Download the CS5 Master Collection Trial, using the downloader provided it only downloads the .exe file but the compressed file is not downloaded. It says calculating time 0bytes out of 276bytes transfer.
If i try to directly download the file i get this error
Access denied due to security policy violation
Reject ID: 4bdb4c37-27-14010a0a-7b6
Any clue what is causing this?
I can download any other suite just fine.

Under this address, CC has been purchased in July 21st, 2014, that is the reason it is not allowing further purchase as under one Adobe ID, only one subscription of CC( Individual, single app, Team) can be activated & used.

Error when attempting to update Adobe CS5 Master Collection via Adobe Application Manager

I have a copy of Adobe CS5 Master Collection running on OS X Yosemite.
For the last few weeks, anytime that I'm prompted to update CS5, I allow it but it fails. See the first screenshot below for details. The second screenshot is the error log file.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How do I get a copy of Acrobat with my CS5 Master Collection???

I activated my Adobe CS5 Master Collection (running on Snow Leopard) with a serial number purchased from CDW and everything went smoothly, but after a few days of using the core products I typically use I noticed Acrobat was not included in the installed software.
Now, Adobe lists Acrobat PRO as an included product in the Master Collection and rightfully so since it contans just about every product they make.
When I emailed Adobe about this but the only response I got was some pre-formatted auto-response probably sent to me from the help desk in India or something. The auto-response said absolutely nothing about how to obtain a copy for the Mac, and just had a link taking me to the Acrobat home page, which basically says there is no trial version of Acrobat for Mac available for download.
I gave up on it since I do not use Acrobat very much but now I am in a situation where I do need to have Acrobat Pro to finish a job and I cannot figure out how to get a copy installed with the Master Collection.
There was no disclaimer indicating that you would not be able to get a copy of Acrobat when I purchased the downloadable version vs. buying a boxed DVD set, so I am expecting there must be a way.
Adobe's help has been pretty much useless when I emailed them, and I cannot find anyone with the same problem on Google or in the Adobe forums, so is there someone out there who can give me the answer or help me?
If I have to purchase a seperate copy of Acrobat so be it, but since it is supposed to be included with the Master Suite that would be kind of stupid if I have to purchase a copy of Acrobat seperately.

So, after over another week (I have been trying to find a way to install Acrobat with my purchased copy of the Master Suite for MONTHS)... My IT guy finally gets me the installer DMG for Acrobat and now I cannot install it with my master collection because the serial numbers are not the same?
I never got a god damn serial number for Acrobat Pro when purchasing the master collection.
Asking Adobe for help is totally worthless and not even worth taking the time to do so because all they give you is some BS pre-recorded response that doesn't help you with JACK...

CS5 Master collection is partly not working with certain programs within the program

Some of the programs in CS5 Master collection aren't working. but some are. When I open the onse that don't they actually try to but then "Stop working" and crashes. I even tried to re-install the whole thing again but it says that some files are not in the same place. Whats does that even mean?.....

The best option would be to uninstall it completely using Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Then reinstall it, you should be logged in as administrator with complete privileges.

Hey, I was have a CS5 Master Collection CD and cuz i travel alot it seams that i lost my CDs fortunately i was have a copy on my laptop, but the problem now that my Set-up.exe is corrupted so i can't lunch the setup if anyone can help me and upload just Set-up.exe File it will be nice Please help me please i need it badly.

Notebook Specs for Adobe CS5 Master Collection

Hi guys, I am currently in process of buying a new notebook.
I will be running a Adobe CS5 Master Collection and few other programs.
Can you guys let me know what are best specs that this notebook must have?
I know Mac is best option but my company is not willing to get one, they are willing to settle for HP / Dell / etc…
I will need this notebook to handle multiple applications at a time (dreamweaver, illustrator, photoshop, etc etc…).
I dont want the basic specs, what more can i include to get this notebook running like a super machine?
eg. 8GB Ram, i7 processor?
What do you guys advise?

I was curious about your experience with CS5 Master Collection, since I purchased the CS4 Master Collection more than a year ago.
I had previously bought the CS3 Master Collection and upgraded. The original CS3 collection was reasonable to work with because there was a Disc for each different program. If you needed to reload a program you could figure it out. When I upgraded to CS4 which was a decent price, I figured what I would get would be comprehensible in the sense that CS3 was. What I received was (I believe 5 discs...I don't have them with me) labeled Content
and Applications. It wasn't long, because of the general 64-bit confusion, that one of the programs (Acrobat Pro) became corrupted. I wasn't sure which disc or discs to load. There are absolutely no instructions or anywhere you can go to find them. Adobe provides nothing for Master Collection
owners, or rather up-graders...try sending an email...good luck. Try calling...to find out how to load a program? By the way when I try to load one of the Content discs, I get a message that says my laptop, with all the bells and whistles, and which originally accepted the Master Collection, cannot load the software, whatever that means. I wrote several emails to Adobe asking for help, I'll even pay for it...no answer. I also subscribe to the Professional Photographers podcast and Adobe is frequently mentioned as having terrible customer service and having over-priced software. I'm seriously thinking of alternatives, but everyone uses Photoshop, which you're probably better off buying by itself. Or, you could wait for another frustrated customer to post his/her complaint to the Adobe Forums. I don't think the Adobe administrators will let this be posted, but please, be forewarned about the terrible customer service.
