? CS5 packaging issues

I'm trying to package a file and I keep getting the error message that the file name is too long. If I shorten the file name I still get the same message. What do I need to do?

I was finally able to save the package name. I was trying to save it on my computer, not networked. Thank you for your help.

I have a desktop machine windows 7 based with CS5 loaded and working without problem. I have recently purchased a laptop running 8.1 windows.  I have loaded the cs5 package onto the laptop and it appears to work but when I try to update, although  I am being told there are updates it attempts to download the update but then tells me there is a problem and to quit and try again later.. I have tried a number of times to download the updates but itkeeps telling  me to quit and try later. what is wrong please?

There could be a 32 bit vs 64 bit issues-is the old machine a 32 bit? and what is the new machine as far as 32/64 bit. I am not sure now if CS5 has in the help menu of the PS app the selection to update within PS if so that might work. I know that the Creative cloud app for installs updates  etc has caused me much consternation  over the last couple few years. Last it could be something like your Software firewall settings or  anti-virus anti malware programs. I know that updating the infamous adobe flash that Internet Explorer pop ups setting and having AV turned on as opposed to off can interfere or plain break the update ability

  • I can't install 10.5.2 because of an installer package issue. Can anyone help me out?

I recently bought the Iphone 4S and wanted to sync my phone to my PC. I was prompted to download the latest version of Itunes 10.5.2 but the installation was interrupted due to a "installer package issue".  Has anyone encountered this issue and resolved it accordingly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have more than one account now (e.g., one created during the install, and one/more restored from a back up), have you tried installing the combo (110 MB) update from the account you created during the erase & install (the very first admin account created)? If not, try logging into that account and try installing the combo update and see if the problem goes away. Then do a permissions repair (it might take a while).

  • CS5 Upgrade Issues from DW8

I have recently upgraded from DW8 to CS5. This occurred when I purchased a new computer with the OS going from XP Pro to Win 7 Ultimate (remained with 32 bit instead of going up to 64 bit). DW8 didn't like the new OS. Now at this stage I am still carrying maintenance out on the DW8 created sites (haven't created any new CS5 ones yet) and I am having trouble with the PVII Menu system which I was forced to upgrade to Version II (to cope with the New Everything) however, more importantly, CS5 will not let me edit the Editable Section of the Template pages  as DW8 used to do (as soon as I click on the Editable area, the whole sheet "greys out" and locks me out). I can disengage the Template, however if I do that I can't reattached the page back to the Template. Are you aware of a work around, because if not, it looks as though I am going to have to waste hours re-creating the page as a CS5 page to overcome this issue. Your comments will be appreciated. Hope you might have a solution. With over sixty pages on one site, I am not looking forward too that I can assure you....:-(
Your assistance and advice would be very much welcomed.
    Kind regards,

    Hi SE,
    Looks as though Project Seven made an easy $65.00 from me...:-(  I have attached the Code for the index.htm page below which is the page I am having the trouble with;
I have at this point not üpgraded the PVII Menu System on the DWT Template even though I have already installed the Extension into Dreamweaver. I am thinking that I will just ditch the PV V.1 Menu and replace the Menu with PVII on the DWT Template

  • Building CS5 package with AAMEE

I am trying to build a CS5 master collection deployment package for use with the Casper suite using AAMEE 2.1 on the Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7 systems.
The build begins, but then ends with an error message.
The log of the error looks like this:
[ERROR] AdobePackageBuilder - OS ErrMsg : Failed to copy object. ErrorCode (-128) ErrorString (userCanceledErr:).
[ERROR] AdobePackageBuilder - Aborted the copy operation.
[FATAL] AdobePackageBuilder - Error Failed to copy the contents of the folder.
[ERROR] AdobePackageBuilder - Failed to copy Payload folder (AdobeGermanSpeechAnalysisModels2All)
This occurs when trying to build the package from the installation disks.
If I try to copy the disks to my computer first, some of the payload files won't copy from the disk.
Any suggestions for overcoming these issues?

    Hi,
Can you give us some more information on what you are doing:
    - Are you using the same machine to mount the disks and creating the package?
    - What is the error you are receiving when you are trying to copy the disks in your computer?
Also, please send me PDApp.log and PackageBuilder Log so that we can have a lead.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek | [email protected]

  • SSIS package issues when running as a regular user

    Hello
I have one package which is getting data from MSSQL server and putting it to the excel (2007 format).
When started as an administrator from Visual studio, IS, command line or SQL Agent job it works just fine.
But when using regular user (SSIS proxy in SQL Agent job) it does not return any errors, but result Excel file is just empty. It puts only firs row with headers into it.
Only difference I've found when executing as admin and regular user is a warning in package execution detailed log:
OnWarning,SERVERNAME,USERNAME,PACKAGE_NAME,{GUID},{GUID},2014.03.21 15:23:22,2014.03.21 15:23:22,-2147183868,0x,Warning: Could not open global shared memory to communicate with performance DLL; data flow performance counters are not available.  To resolve,
run this package as an administrator, or on the system's console.
If I add user to local administrators group it runs just fine.
Trying to search the web I've found that most causes of thet could be UAC enabled on the server. But it is not enabled.
    SQLserver - Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.2383.0 (X64)
    Windows Server 2008 R2
    Thanks in advance,
    Olegas

It could be also an issue with the access to the %temp% directory.
But I suggest again, you do not rely on turning the logging on that is built into DTEXEC, you need to provide this package right now with thorough logging to find the root cause of the issue. E.g. no access to a shared drive may an issue, too.

  • Photoshop CS5 Droplet Issues

So I have to pose this question to you all since we are having a rather massive problem at my work here with this. The company I am working for is a large automotive restoration parts company and we have 7 full vehicle catalogs. Here is a bit of the explanation to what is we are doing.
Basically what is happening is that we use droplets to convert images to CMYK profile for our printer, create a web jpg and thumbnail and place it in the appropriate folder for being transferred to our database. The action we are using for this is as follows.
    Save For DB and Web
Save- to a location on our server
    Convert Mode- RGB for web
Image size- to reduce the size for web
    Export- as jpg for web
Image size- reduces size for thumbnail image for web
Export- adds _thumbnail behind part number
    Close
We have 5 different droplets that do basically the same thing in the end. Our work flow here is nothing special but here is now it work. All images are placed on a server(Apple server running Snow Leopard Server 10.8.6) for use in our catalog(linked in to Indesign) all as EPS. For the web jpgs the images are transferred into a large folder which once a week or so we run a bulk loader in our database software for use with our website. Images are transferred to the web server and all is deleted once it database has the image imported.
Now here is the problem. Randomly the droplets will not make one or more of the files when it runs. Most of the time it is perfect and has no issues. Sometimes it will create the EPS and not the jpgs, other times it will create only the thumbnail and others just the EPS and web but no thumbnail. It is just random and across 5 different droplets(only difference between them is where the EPS is saved to, the jpgs are saved to the same place in all of them). We recently updated all the droplets to CS5 .app extension as before we though the issue was because we were running CS3 created droplets but the issue has not changed. I am running them on both an iMac and Mac Pro, both running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and they both have this issue. I am running the latest version of CS5 with all updates(have CS6 on order and will be trying that shortly). No once else has this issue like I do but I am running the most images on the droplets to place in the database so I think that is why I am seeing the most errors. One of my former coworkers was having this issue for years before I worked here and he was having them until his last day here. I am at a loss but I have a feeling that it has to do with the Apple Server that the department is using. I am not an apple fanboi at all and dislike using apple products but it is what I have to do in order to get work done so I continue to do it. So unless the computer knows I dislike it and is doing this as a form of revenge it has to be something. I personally think it is the server but I wanted to though out there to see what others think it could be.
I decided to make new droplets from scratch and have them saved onto a difference server as well as the original to see if it is a server. The second server that I am saving to has been perfect, while the normal server that is supposed to be is having issues. The server is the same controller, but has different RAID banks. The second server is limited access to only me and the other photographer I work with and is just a backup server.
Anyone have any ideas on what is going on or has encountered this issue before?
    Nick

Yes, open a raw file with Photoshop's Camera Raw, then move the sliders around - e.g., Shadows, Highights, Blacks, Whites, to bring the extreme parts of the exposure in.
It's surprising what results can be gotten from a single raw file:

  • Photoshop CS5 HDR Issues

    Hi,
I've been using HDR with Photoshop CS5 for quite some time, and I'm now switching to CS6, but am having some troubles that I've never had before.
Here's a rundown of what's happening. First, I go to file -> automate -> merge to HDR
I then make the changes to gamma, exposure, etc. I leave the 16-bit and local adaptation alone; I've never changed any of that before. Someone mentioned how that could be an issue, but I never adjust any of that. After making the desired edits of colors, exposure, etc., I hit process. I'll show here what I get in the "preview" window where all of the work is being done, and then what the end result is.
    Preview window:
What it comes up with after:
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  • Unexpected Termination SSIS package - Issue with SSIS packages after upgrading to SQL Server 2014

    Hello everyone.
We performed an upgrade of SQL Server 2012 installation to SQL Server 2014 (with last CU5 update). We found that all SSIS packages (even the simplest with just Execute SQL tasks) fail with Unexpected termination message. The issue reproduces with both new
packages (that are created from scratch with SSDT 2014) and old packages (migrated from SQL 2012).
Any ideas, please? We googled and found that it is a known issue that should have fixed with CU4. But we use CU5 and the issue is still here.

    Hi Ammey and others ,
The queue import failed with the same error.
I have found in note 822379 that this message can actually be ignored.
    SAPK-60006INISOIL - SAPK-60007INISOIL
Symptom: If the Support Packages SAPK-60006INISOIL und SAPK-60007INISOIL are imported together in a queue, the TEST_IMPORT step returns an error for Support Package SAPK-60007INISOIL. The following error messages are displayed in the test import log:
    Function OIUREP_GET_RECENT_ROYHIST (OIUREP_ROY_HISTORY 05)
does not fit into the existing function group.
       (OIUREP_ROY_REPORTING 09)
    Function OIUREP_GET_RECENT_VOLHIST (OIUREP_ROY_HISTORY 06)
does not fit into the existing function group.
       (OIUREP_ROY_REPORTING 10)
Solution: You can ignore this error by choosing 'Extras'-> 'Ignore test-import error'.  The error will not occur during the later import.
based on your latest message (2.39 PM) suggesting to ignore "Warnings" I should be able to mark the queue now as "Ignore test-import errors" and bypass my original error. That was the only error of type 8 or above.
    Thank you
    Corinne

  • Switching from Windows to mac, how to get master collection cs5 package for mac instead?

Purchased Abobe Master Collection CS5 in 2010 and had been using Windows as an operating system since but I'm about to make the switch to OSX. However the download package and serial numbers I purchased are for windows, can I switch to mac download packages and will my serial numbers work for them?
    Thanks,
    Nicholas

Unfortunately, Creative Suite packages are operating system-specific.  Further, platforem swaps are only supported for the mst recent release which is CS6.  You can read more about the policy thru the link below:

  • CS5.5--Issues with audio from imported avi's & issues exporting

    To Start, my laptop:
    CPU: Intel® Core ™ i7-2330QM CPU @ 2.00 GHz
    CPU Clock Frequency: 2.00 GHz
    System Memory: 8 GBytes
    Cache Memory: 1 MBytes/6 Mbytes
    Manufacturer: Sony Corporation
    Model name: VPCF226FM
    BIOS VERSION: R1190V#
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    ME Version: 7.0.10.1203
    System Type: 64-bit Operating System
I downloaded the 30-day free trial of Premiere Pro CS5.5 with all updates.  To play with the program, for my own personal amusement, I wanted to edit together pieces from a bunch of avi videos that I know to play properly outside the program, tested on more than one computer.
At first, importing the files seemed to be no problem, making subclips as I went along.
However, as I continued to import files, there began to be a sound issue--sometimes the sound not being present till I was 1/3 of the way through the clip, sometimes the sound seemingly playing catch up with audio that should be earlier in the video appearing later, sometimes the sound wouldn't come up at all, and still other times I'd be, for example, on video 5 when pieces of audio from video 2 would start playing over the current video.
I initially thought it may just be a memory issue, working with many large video files.
But later, when I went to edit the subclips I made, I found that many of them no longer had sound, even if they did when I initially subclipped them.
Weirdly, in the timeline, there is no consistency, as clips will appear in the video track but only some show audio tracks too.  But those with audio tracks don't always play audio and those that show NO audio tracks at all actually do play audio sometimes.  Also, those that show audio tracks and don't play them sometimes will show waveforms, sometimes don't.  A clip with no waveform may not play 95% of the time, but then occasionally will suddenly have the waveform and play a couple times before reverting back to no audio.
A suitable solution for this personal amusement project would just be to drop a new soundtrack over the thing but, before I even got that far, I tried exporting as avi's and mpeg4's but then get error messages such as:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [..\..\Src\Win\WinFile.cpp-785]
    Error compiling movie.
    Unknown error.
In case it was a memory issue, I tried starting a new project, only importing 2 videos, but had the same audio and exporting issues.
I'm getting really frustrated as I spent a lot of time importing/subclipping and then even more time prepping before that.
For those who are bound to ask, while new to Premiere, I'm not a novice with editing.  I've used Final Cut Pro at work for many years (without such issues).

  • Illustrator cs5 selecting issue in mountain lion

I'm having a strange issue using illustrator cs5 after updating to mountain lion. I have a line of text that I rotated and copied several times so it resembles an asterisc shape * (3 lines of type fanned out over a central point). When I select 1 line of type, 2 or more lines are selecting. It happens even if I try to click in an empty area of the file (white space). The kicker is that it even happens in outline view (even in the white space). Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

Not sure what is happening, but a workaround might be to put each line of type on its own layer, then lock and/or hide layers you don't want to select.
