CS5 products registration for my Adobe ID

Hello!
I have lots of Adobe CS5 products installed on my Mac - Photoshop, Flashbuilder, Flash PRO, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premier, Illustrator, but they are not registered to my account. When I try to register them as described on your site (through the help menu) I receive "Thank you" message, but nothing happens.
I have no serials, as it was couple of years ago when I installed them.
I would love to add them to my Adobe ID and have a discount for CC year plan. Can you please help?

The only suitable option seems to find serial somewhere inside the program (is it even possible?) Or register them to my Adobe ID via Internet.

Preface: If you have a genuine interest in the plight of those that have had to suffer under the sword of Adobe's tyrannical rule than read on, otherwise feel free to move on wary traveler. (I don't want to bother you with this if you are fed up with hearing people talk about how they need help with customer service and blah blah blah. It's just an attempt to be curtious.)

I gave the agent my credit card number, went out and bought my Mac, I waited the 7 days for the discs to arrive, then waited 7 more, the discs never came, so I called the company and after waiting on hold for 47 minutes I had to hang up, I called back a couple of days later and was finally told that I was not allowed to do a platform swap because CS5 design standard was no longer eligble (would have been nice to know as I would have just purchased the HP touchsmart computer instead of the iMac( like I told the agents). I am a little upset at the way this went down and would not have been in the least bit angry if they (3 agents) hadn't promised me the platform switch, like I said, I would have just purchased the other computer. So now, after going back and forth for weeks, looks like I have a $1300 paperweight (CS5 program). And have to repurchase CS5.5. for Mac. In the meantime, I have to take a failing grade in my digital imaging and Photoshop class, which ruins my 4.0 GPA. I wish there was an alternative to Adobe, I would like to say that I will never use there products again, but given my chosen career field, it's not true. It's sad that they treat their customers this way and can get away with it. I wish they would have honnored their promise to me to do the platform switch, they won't do it because I would have to get the CS5.5 software instead (which I could care less about), I feel like since they promised the switch they should have to honor it, especially sonce no one ever called to inform me that they couldn't do it, I just had to wait and wait for my discs to arrave before I called them myself to see what happened, Has anyone else had this issue arise? We have spent HOURS on the phone trying to explain our situation."
I now want to know if these persons of interest are still available because unfortunately attempting to resolve an issue like this via telephone or chat seems to be difficult to say the least. Here is my plight as I have wrote in a seperate post:
I had a mac and just before its death (long, complicated story) I purchased CS5 Production Premier Teacher & Student, this being my last opportunity to take advantage of my student discount (forshadowing.) Skip forward and a severe lack of job opportunities later and I have a crap job but made just enough to create a machine (though PC this time) that could handle CS5. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, in order for me to get a version of the software (that I already legitamitly own) that I can use (because I was never able to use the MAC one) I have to purchase an uprgrade, which they are completly willing to help me with (and I am completely willing to not be able to afford.) Then there was another discovery to be had: Teacher & Student edition doesn't upgrade so they can assist me buying the software. Again.
[Note: Edited to take out some of the anger/frustration of the original post as it was written moments after me and the customer service rep had our bonding experience]
I make $9 dollars an hour and will soon have to start paying back student loans (the last of which were spent on this software that, as said prior, I was unable to use) the last thing I can afford is to buy such an upgrade , or worse, purchase software again that I legitimatly own (albiet on a different platform.) I will send you back the disc, I will take pictures of me with the disc frollicing on a beach, whatever it takes I just don't want all the money I spent to have been a waste. The customer service rep I spoke with told me those were my only options but I can only hope that that isn't true. So *fingers crossed* this avenue bears some fruit.
At the very least I am left with.. 3 tasteful purple coasters if nothing else (and the customer service rep agrees.)

Which language is your default system language set to? This is critical as you may have installed support for langauges that your version of CS cannot handle. The common fix is to choose File --> Info or File --> Explore Package and remove e.g. Asian languages...

Adobe CS5 Production Premium vs. Adobe CS4 Production Premium

Hello:
I am currently a worker at a production studio and we are thinking about upgrading our system Adobe CS3 Production Premium to either Adobe CS4 Production Premium or Adobe CS5 Production Premium. Our company was at NAB convention in Las Vegas this year and were convinced that Adobe CS5 Production Premium was the way to go. However we come to find (after purchace) that Adobe CS5 Production Premium only runs on (and correct me if Im wrong) 64 bit. Now stuck with a system we cant use on our vista 32 bit I was wondering what are the beneifits between the two and if CS5 is really that great is it worth while to upgrade my computer systems. I am sure I am not the only one to have run into this problem. Any input or advice would be great.

Look HERE for a quick summary of the new features in After Effects. I can personally attest to the power of the new rotobrush. If you do that kind of work, it will save you a ton of time. Rendering times are considerably faster and being able to RAM preview a 30 or 40 second clip all the way through at full res is finally a reality.
Look HERE for a summary of the new features in Premiere Pro. The major improvement here, in my opinion, is the ability to preview a multi-layer timeline with several effects in real time at full res without rendering.
I can't tell you if it's worth it to you to upgrade or not. All I can say is that I'm really happy with it, so far.

Product Registration for Macbook Pro

I've just registered my Macbook Pro for proof of ownership so that I can buy some accidental coverage from Safeware. I registered the product online, at the end of the form it said Thank You you should receive a confirmation e-mail. So far it's been several hours and it hasn't been sent to my e-mail. I've double checked my e-mail address, they are correct. I've checked my spam folder, nothing there. So far I haven't received anything.

Check your warranty status here. Enter your serial number. If it's in the database, you are all set. Print it out for proof of purchase.

Yes,I agree with Michael, I am very disappointed in a company like adobe putting up such low resolution videos. They should all be available in at least 720. It makes a video like this pointless because you cant even see what he is talking about.

Upgrade CS5 Production Premium German to CS6 Production Premium English?

I own CS5 Production Premium in the German version and would like to upgrade to CS6. Is it possible for me to upgrade to the English version?

Can you upgrade from CS5 Production Premium to CS6 Master Collection?

I have the student edition of CS5 Production Premium suite and Adobe Acrobat X Pro for Windows and I was wondering if there was a way to upgrade it to the CS6 Master Collection. If there is, how much would it cost? I would like to get InDesign and Dreamweaver. Or would it be easier to try to buy the two programs separate?

I saw that before, but I wasn't sure if it was an upgrade from the CS5 Master Collection or just anything CS5. Shouldn't the upgrade price vary depending on what collection of programs you have? Like shouldn't upgrading from the CS5 Master Collection be cheaper than upgrading from CS5 Production Premium? Will it change if I try to order it?

Corrupt SDK ZIP: InDesign CS5 Products SDK Win [535]

Dear Adobe
When trying to unzip the InDesign CS5 Products SDK for Win [535], WinRAR notifies me that "The archive is corrpt". When opening the SDK with the Windows ZIP functionality, there are a lot of files missing.
The mentioned file is named: Adobe_InDesign_CS5_Products_SDK_535_Win.zip
I really don't like the idea of developing with a potential corrupt SDK.
So can you please provide a "clean" SDK ZIP as soon as possible?

Thanks for that tip Harbs, I have regenerated the API, which produced an InDesignServerAPI.jar that I've been able to use to compile and run against CS5 Server. So I can get on with developing again now . However, it's inconvenient to have to regenerate just to be able to start Java development (and it would be worse if I was using Windows because I'd need to buy Visual Studio, fortunately all the tools needed for regeneration on Mac OS X are free).
Also there are some very useful documents included in the CS4 Server SDK that aren't in the CS5 Products SDK, for example ww-ids-java.pdf (Working with Adobe Indesign CS4 Server Java) and the "Regenerating the Adobe InDesign CS5 Server Java API" document mentions the Server SDK (e.g. "The InDesign CS5 Server SDK installation contains the prebuilt Java API Jar file") so I'm still curious as to whether there will be a CS5 Server SDK.

Proof of Product Registration

I'm trying to purchase Safeware insurance for my macbook. I called them up and they said all I needed is proof of product registration for my macbook. This macbook was a gift so I do not have the original receipt. I asked if I could simply print out my warranty status from Apple's website, they said no, I need some sort of proof of registration. I already registered my macbook, and received a confirmation, but the confirmation doesn't have any unique serials, not even my name or address, so I do not think this is going to fly with Safeware insurance. How do I get proof of product registration?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
I would recommend calling back and speaking to someone else at your insurance company and explaining the situation. Another possible solution is if the gift is recent you can ask the "giver" for a gift receipt that they can get from the seller they bought it from.
You can also contact Apple directly and pose your question, we're users just like you so in this case I think going right to the horse's mouth (Apple) you have a very legitimate question.

Photoshop CS5 doesn't have same printer presets as other CS5 products

I am trying to print from Photoshop CS5 to a Konica Bizhub c451 printer that uses account tracking and user authentication. But, when attempting to print from photoshop CS5 the printer preset doesn't have the same options (doesn't allow us to put in owner information) as the other CS5 products. For example I am able to print from Illustrator CS5 but not Photoshop CS5. I am also able to print from Photoshop CS3 on the same computer but not CS5. Any ideas?

It's possible to transfer licenses but it must be done by contacting a Customer Service representative by phone or web chat. They'll probably have you submit a form.

Adobe CS5 production premium "doesn't" qualify for new Adobe cc membership discount, WHY?

Hi All,
I have tried to qualify for the Adobe CC membership discount using my CS5 production premium serial number and the website is telling me that I do not qualify.
However on reading the terms and conditions it stipulates anyone from CS3 and above can get the discount. Not only that the adobe live chat is only for paid memberships so I cant talk to anyone until I pay... frustration.
Can anyone clarify this situation at all?

Hi, i bought adobe cs5 production premium student and teacher edition like a year ago. Or maybe more. anyways, im doing an erasmus semester so i bought myself a Netbook.
I want to install Adobe photoshop in it,. but the problem is, it has no CD driver.
Does anyone know where i can find a download link ( LEGAL)? So i can just download and activate.
