CS5 purchased 2010 teacher/student edition lost serial number as computer hard drive crashed

I purchased CS5 extended Teacher/Student edition in 2010 when I purchased my Macbook. Recently in 2014 My hard drive crashed and I needed to reinstall my photoshop.
During the installation It asks for the serial number. I no longer have this and it is not referenced on the box or anywhere in the packaging or on any documentation that I currently have.
I really need to reinstall but every time I try to contact adobe through chat It says it is unavailable, does anyone know how I can rectify this?

No one here can say what AC will or won't do, but I would be very surprised it you got a new copy of Office from them.
If you got a legal copy of Office from your college, you should have gotten a serial number or they should have a record of it; go back to them and ask about getting a new copy . . . and a set of discs.

Reading manufacturer's serial number of a hard drive

hi all, i know that there's no java way to read the MANUFACTURER serial number of a hard disk, so i wonder if someone knows a way to read it using another language(c,c++ maybe???), and then implement it in a java app using the jni. It would be great if the solution can be used in both linux and windows(perhaps not the same solution, but one solution working for windows and another for linux)...any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Well first of there is no direct solution for as it has to do with accessing OS/BIOS native information therefore you might have to take help of native libraries and then get the info.

and take help of google to findout information for other OS's.
Now comes part where how is that we can export that feature to Java.
There is a concept called Native Functions in Java.All you have to do is to build dynamic runtime libraries for each of the OS specific by following the JNI Specs and then load that specific library such that you get that info from OS/BIOS via those native runtime libaries which we create.

Ihas always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the reloaded PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.

Creative suite student edition's serial number doesn't work

You might want to check with the vendor from whom you purchased the software regarding how to properly install it. Serial numbers are not normally needed for installing applications. They are normally needed for activating after installation.
If you have gotten passed installing and the activation is not working, then you need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

I have purchased the Adobe Design Premium CS5. My computer totally crashed and I had to reinstall the program(s) on another computer.
I redownloaded the program via my Adobe account on the website, but every time I start a Adobe program I get a pop-up message saying my activation limit is reached. I cannot deactivate on the other computer since he is not usable anymore.
Can you please help me? I would like to use my serial number only for the "new" computer now.

You don't specify iPod classic or iPod touch...
You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new windows installation (iOS devices only)
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup (iOS devices only)
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps. (iOS devices only)
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

Computer hard drive crashed and rebuild but lost itunes library.

My computer crashed from a bad hard drive. After I put a new one in and rebuild the Vista OS I attempted to sync my Iphone.
Itunes prompted my device is already tie to another library and gave me a option to erase and startover.
Is it possible to push the content from the Iphone library back to the itunes desktop? Or do I have to restart from scratch.
From googling I learn it is important to backup *.itl and will do so from now on.

I just want to point out that it's important to back up C:\...\Music\iTunes\. This contains library data files as well as the music files themselves.

Computer hard drive crashed and lost all photos

Is there a way to retrieve the photos from my iPod back onto my computer harddrive? The files that show up in the iPod photo cache on my hard drive are .thmb extensions and can't be opened by my system.

- If the photos were synced to the iPod they are gone
- If they were taken by or saved to the iPod gp to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the date/time of the iPod backup. If it is when you synced then restoring from backup should get the photos back.
- If you had turned on Settings>iCloud>PhotoStream, then set up PhotoStream on the computer and get the last 30 days of photos from PhotoStream. You should also be able to get them back by simply turning one Photostream on the restored iPod.
