CS5 serial not working on CS5.5

i have a CS5 serial and i am trying to install on my new computer. the downloader/ website only list CS5.5 and the serial doesn't seem to work with it. How can i get the original copy of cs5?
thanks
Dave

Which CS5 product serial number are you trying to use?  Depending on the product you may need a CS5.5 license to be accepted by the CS5.5 installer.

  • Serial not working for Acobat X

Hi, I've just installed a new version of CS5. I was using the trial version for a few weeks and I realised that Acrobat Pro was not installed.
    Not to worry I thought.
Today, I bought the serial for Design Premium CS5 and rang Adobe to confirm that we would recieve Acrobat X serial upon purchasing the serials.
    They said we would.
Indeed, I did get two serials. However, one was for CS5 Design Premium (which worked!) and the other was for Acobat 9 Pro which does not work with my installed trial version of Acrobat X.
Can someone from the Customer Support team please help as I currently have a trial version of Acrobat X that's still asking for a serial.
    Ta
    Adrian

Creative Suite currently ships with Acrobat 9 - *not* Acrobat X.
Because of the way the license manager operates, you always get two serial numbers - one for CS, and one for Acrobat - but serials for Acrobat 9 will not of course work for Acrobat X, trial or no trial.
Acrobat X Pro will be included in the next dot release of CS5, details of which will be sent automatically to customers with a support subscription plan. At this time we cannot give any more information on dates, prices or upgrade paths.

  • Photoshop CS4 serial not working for 64 bit

Ok heres the story, ive been using my copy for about 8 months straight without any problems, yesterday I start up photoshop as I do every day and BLAM, it tells me the serial Ive been using is no longer valid.
When i try to re enter the serial it gives me a big fat red cross.
The weird thing is that the 32bit version seems to work just fine.
I already tried re installing the program, used the CS4 cleaning utility and whatnot, but still the same problem, 64 bit asks for serial, 32bit works, I have 8 gigs of ram in my rig and hate to let it all go to waste by using the 32 bit, so if anyone has any clue about my problem, please share.
    Cheers

Sounds like a specific part of the licensing service does not launch. Have you checked your event viewer and your Services panel?

  • CS5.5 Serials not working anymore!

I had a trial for adobe cs5.5 master suite. I put in a valid serial and it worked for 5 months. I didn't start my software for a while and installed a second operating system. Somehow, my adobe reverted back into trial phase. I tried putting in my serial but it just wouldn't work. It keeps saying that it is not valid for this product but it is the same one I used just 5 months ago. Could this because of something I did? Should I uninstall my secon operating system. I really need to use my adobe.

Could this because of something I did?
Yes - you installed a second operating system and it changed your drive sector mapping/ finger print, afflicting the encrypted license key mechanism. Anyway, nothing anyone can do for you. You'll have to call support and have them issue you new keys. At this point you're essentailly FUBARd with what you have...

  • Old serial # not working to reinstall CS2 on new computer

I installed all the disks for my old CS2 software on my new computer but when I open the individual programs, they give me an error reading "User name, organization, serial number is missing or invalid.  Application cannot continue and must now exit."  I spoke to an adobe representative who said that CS2 would not fuction with my new Windows 7 OS.  Is there any way to get the older version to work with the Windows 7 or is it incompatible?  I have the old serial number, coupon code (it was a student version), and customer ID #.  Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you run in compatibility mode for WinXP? If not, please do. The issue is simply that the data is actually there, it's just in the wrong place. Only inputting it in legacy mode will store it in the right location in the registry. and of course you will have to run as admin, turn off UAC and system protection as wel las any third-party security tools to avoid possible inetrference.

  • VISA serial not working right in Windows 7

Howdy.  I wrote a fairly straightforward VISA serial read and write program in LV 2010.  I use VISA write to send a query through the COM port, then use VISA read to get the response and display it for the user.  I do this for several more addresses, then go back to the first one, and then it continues to loop over and over. It works fine when I run it as a vi on my computer, and it runs fine when I compile it and run the executable from my computer as well.  My computer has Windows XP.
However, when I transfer the exe to a laptop running Windows 7, it either works sporadically, or not at all.  I know LV is installed correctly because a couple other small programs work fine, and as I said this one will occasionally communicate, although usually I'll see the wrong address being displayed.
At first I thought it was my code, but no matter how many different methods I tried, it would always work perfectly fine under XP, but awful under Windows 7. Then I ran into Windows 7 USB and COM port driver issues with a different, nonrelated software program, so now I'm beginning to suspect it may be Windows 7 that's the culprit and not my code.
ETA:  LV is the only program running on the Windows 7 laptop, so I know there is nothing else trying to use the COM port.  Plus, I have shut LV completely off and restarted to make sure LV itself isn't still holding the COM port and that didn't help either.
Anyone else run into something like this?

Actually my LV code is talking through a standard DB9 COM port.  It was another software application I use that communicated through a USB-to-COM converter that I found worked fine via plug-n-play in XP but I had to go through multiple steps to finally get it to work under Windows 7.
Here's a sample of my code.  This is step 4, so I've already established my COM port settings earlier.  It sends out a query, in this case "MD 8009", and the microprocessor will echo back the query plus a value, like "MD 8009 75".  The serial communication in this device is very slow, so I send the message, then I have to loop for a while until I see a response that includes the original string plus more data.  If I don't see a reply that looks correct after so much time, I try sending the query again 20 more times before I give up and flush the I/O buffer then move on to the next address.  If everything works well, I store and display the data, flush the I/O buffer, then move on to the next query.

  • Serial Not Working

I used CF Studio 4.5 for many years as a backup editor to DW
in case I just wanted to hop in an edit something quickly then be
done. I was on the site the other day browsing looking at Homesite
5.5 when a window from a chat rep opened so I went into chat. This
Adobe rep told me I could upgrade to Homesite 5.5 since I owned DW
8 as part of Studio. However now tha tI have purchased the upgrade
for Homesite 5.5 it will not accept my CF Studio 4.5 serial nor my
Studio MX serial nor my Studio MX 2004 serial and not my CS3
Creative Suite serial as an upgrade from serial number. Am I doing
something wrong or was I misinformed by the Adobe Rep in the chat
    room?

If you purchased the upgrade you should have received a new
serial number. As you've discovered the old ones won't work. Check
your emails to see if a serial number was sent. And check your
account at Adobe.com. It's possible you can get your serial number
there (although I think that only works for Adobe branded software
    - HS is still counted as Macromedia, I think).
Alternatively open a support ticket or phone tech
    support.

  • Dvd Studio Pro Serial Not Working

Hi all,I recently had to replace my late 2005 G5 Powermac due to its inconsistency in powering up.
Cutting the story short,I bought a second hand PowerMac which Ive been using for the past months with no problems,I re installed my Original compy of Final Cut Studio and everything seems to work fine, oly today Ive tried to burn a project on DVD with DVD Studio Pro 4 and it will not accept my original serial !
Ive already tried deleting the FInal Cut System ID and reinserting the serial but no luck.
Anyone had this problem before ? If not ,how could I claim Apple ?after all the original suite cost me back in its day around 1000euros.
    Thanks

Thats the version I have on my laptop, sorry !
Well, there never was a Final Cut Studio 9. So I'm still confused. What version is listed on your disk?
DVD SP shouldn't be asking for a serial number if the FCS suite was correctly installed.
Download this utility and remove DVDSP (it will ensure that you get all the associated files). Reinstall from the install disks. Then run Software Update repeatedly until there is nothing more listed. Repair permissions in Disk Utility and launch DVDSP.
I wouldn't be surprised if this fails to cure the problem. If it doesn't work, repeat the process and uninstall the entire suite, running Software Update, and so forth.

  • Acrobat 9.0 serial not working for Acrobat XI update (Mac)

The subject line says it all. When I try to run my newly downloaded XI update, it requests a serial number for a qualifying product. I have Acrobat 9.0.0 Pro installed, and when I try to run XI, I get a window reading: "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."
Then I manually input the serial (correctly--I've triple checked), select Acrobat Professional 9.0 for Mac in the pull down menu and click "Next." I get an error message saying, "This serial number is not for a qualifying product. Please try another."

  • Acrobat Pro X serial not working with Acrobat Pro XI

I have a serial for Acrobat Pro X which I've been using for quite some time. After formatting my PC, I'm now trying to install Acrobat Pro on my new system but it seems that my serial "is not valid for Acrobat Pro XI".
I'd be happy if I could install Pro X, but it's nowhere to be found on the internet.
Let me get this straight: I can't reinstall a program I ALREADY BOUGHT when I remove it from my system. Nice.

  • Old Serial # not working to re-install Adobe Photoshop CS2 on different computer

Having a problem installing my copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2 - I have the CDs and I have the serial # from the installation on the old computer, but when I enter the information on the new computer, it tells me it is an invalid serial number.  The old computer is a Windows 2000 computer and is running version 9.02.  Please provide any assistance you can, as I would like to move the program to my new computer.  Thanks!  Bob

I was able to login to the Adobe Licensing website (https://www.licensing.adobe.com) as I found an older user ID from the paperwork when we first bought the product in 2005.  I was able to bring up the End User ID, which gave me the 24 digit serial number needed to install on the newer computer.  The older computer only had 20 digits listed on the software for security purposes, so I needed 4 more digits.  Once I got the right serial number, I was able to properly install the Adobe Photoshop CS2.  Thanks to Jeff A. Wright for his help!

  • I've lost CS5 Design Premium Teachers Edition CD Installation Package. How can I download it? Typical version of CS 5 Design Premium is not working with my serial number

I've lost CS5 Design Premium Teachers Edition CD Installation Package. How can I download it? Typical version of CS 5 Design Premium is not working with my serial number. Can someone help me?

Łukasz%20Molenda if you purchased Creative Suite 5 from Adobe directly, and choose the download option at the time of purchase, then the download will be available in your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find additional details at https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/find-download-link.html.
If you purchased the software on a DVD and your current computer does not have an optical drive then you can copy the installation files to a USB drive on a computer which does contain an optical drive.
