CS5 Serial Number lost

I am currently running CS5. I went to fire Illustrator up and it launches Adobe Applications Manager, and requires me to reenter my serial number. I have not seen the box with the number on it in a couple years. Any ideas or ways to obtain my serial number (Mac based).

If you registered your software you be able to find the serial number in your Adobe account online.

I am trying to install CS6 Design Premium (via CD) and have CS5. However I am denied installation because my CS5 serial number is not allowed (it appears I must have CS5.5). All phone lines are engaged. As well as frustrating, this would seem a very poor 'stealth' trick. I have countless registered Adobe copies going back years and saw no warning re this possibility prior to purchase. Is installing from CS5 impossible?

phew! I took your advice and after many dropped phone connections, I was able to speak to Prashant (Adobe service rep in India) who was able to take create a (temporary) support number for me to type in to the registration dialogue via the challenge code procedure. This appeared to bypass the registration dropdown issue and so allowed me to register... at last!
In retrospect I am very grateful for your help and my good fortune in being able to speak to Prashant who was able to fix the problem over the phone. However I suspect this problem may occur to others and the solution seems far from easy when long phone queues and dropped connections add to the tortuous minefield of what is simply meant to be a registration process!

MAC OS remember my bad cs5 serial number!

i installed cs6 and install app ask me for cs5 serial number - i write cs5 serial and install - so i have a problem, saller write to me bad cs5 serial number - now i have new cs5 serial number - but i have problem, when I install cs6 - i think mac remember last cs5 serial number - because don't ask me for cs5 sn. I uninstalled later ADOBE CS6 and use Adobe CCleaner - not work for me! How I can delete CS5 last serial number and write correct number? Please help me!

Ok - problem solved!
I delete all Adobe folders and files on my Mac and new install - now ask my serial number cs5 version.

CC licensing won't take my CS5 serial number

Trying to license Photoshop CC on my computer, but the process won't accept my 24 digit serial number that came on the box my software came in. Any ideas?

Creative Cloud products are not licensed via a serial number. They're authenticated via logging in with your Adobe ID.
Why are you being asked to enter your CS5 serial number? It has no relation to your Cloud membership.
Did you log in to creative.adobe.com/products and download Photoshop CC?

Photoshop CS5 serial number not working?

I bought and downloaded Photoshop CS5 from this site about two years ago, and since then have purchased a new computer. I want install CS5 on this new computer, but my account isn't listing CS5 under my lists of products. When I try and register the serial number I found under my program's System Info, I get an error message that says my serial number isn't valid.
A little while ago, adobe had an information leak and my account was one of the ones listed as possibly compromised- could this be the issue?
If not, why won't it let me register CS5 to my account? I really want it on my new computer. I purchased the product legitimately and I don't want my money disappearing after only two years.

Explain your situation to Customer Support, and see if you can submit some sort of proof. For example a credit card statement. Your bank can help you with that. See if your ISP can fish up the email.
Also if you purchased it as an Educational discount, you might get in touch with that section.
We are users and perhaps a Staff member may drop by, but for now that's the best advice.

Win8 CS5 serial number is not valid for this product

trying to install my CS5 on a 2nd machine - a win 8 64bit machine. i purchased on my macbbok pro. my cs5 is saying the serial number is not valid for this product

Perpetual Photoshop versions support one platform. For a fee you can switch platform and get a serial for the other platform.

My CS5 serial number is 'not valid'. I have deactivated the program on old PC.

I want to transfer PS to my new mac. I have deactivated PS CS5 from old computer. I have downloaded the trial version of PS to my mac. I cannot license it, as the message is 'serial number not valid'. Any suggestions?

CS licenses are platform specific so a Photoshop CS5 Win license cannot be used on a Mac. You can upgrade from CS5 Win to CS6 Mac or may wish to consider a Creative Cloud plan which can be used on Mac or Win.

Help with Photoshop CS5 Serial Number Invalid? Please HELP!

Well hey guys, i bought the CD and everything when i had the trial version. I put the Serial number and pressed "Continue". It went away, all the features were there. When i pressed CSLive it said that it was invalid. But everytime i start up Photoshop CS5, they dont ask me for my serial number. Ever since i put in my serial number, it hasnt asked me. I could care less about CSlive. Should i be concerned, all i really want is the product, not CSlive. Should i be concerned.

CSLive features require you to register your serial number so it is tied to your Adobe ID. It seems you haven't done that and thus get the warning or you have registered a foreign language serial and are thus not allowed to use your actual language version of CSLive. Don't ask, it's kinda silly, I know. You won't miss much as a PS user, though. Most of this stuff is aimed at web designers and people using collaborative tools like Adobe Story and Live Exchange.

Why does my cs5 serial number not qualify for an upgrade?

I input the serial number for my cs5 product in order to quality for the adobe customers special and it doesn't qualify. Any idea why? I wanted to chat with an Adobe representative but was only given the forum as an option.

What KIND of CS5 do you have... regular or volume license or OEM that came with a computer or education or ???

CS3 upgrade to CS6, upgrade requires CS5 serial number.

I purchased the CS6 upgrade from CS3 on the 12/31/12 offer expiration date. I received the upgrade box and it indicates that I must have a valid serial number for the CS5 verision. Can I install this upgrade?

CS2 and prior cannot be activated any more. The activation servers have been permanently taken down. See the link below for an explanation and solution. Be certain to follow all instructions completely, including downloading the no-activation version and using the serial number supplied on the page.

Have CS5 Master Collection and CS6 Master upgrade won't recognize CS5 Serial Number

No way to talk to adobe. Web site says the upgrade should work but it does not recognize the CS5 Master Serials.

Aperture Serial Number Lost

Had Aperture installed in my previous notebook which I have backed up using Time Machine. I restored it to a new notebook and when trying to run Aperture it asks for the serial number which I have lost. Any tips on how can I have it working again?

I have the right number available but don't know how/where to re-imput it

I am trying to update camera raw, I am stuck in an endless loop of of failure. I select download, wait for it to download, then get a message that :
Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update
Some updates failed to install.
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. I have tried both later the same day and later on a different day with no luck.
There is a link to contact customer support which is nothing more than a list of things to check. I am assuming there is something wrong with the serial number because:
A) I have CS5
B) when I looked in the System Info under Help I see a line that reads: Serial number: XXXXXXXXXX and the number listed is not the one on my product
C) most of the options given for problems relate to serial number

Serial number lost cs4

I am trying to reinstall CS4 on my macbook pro and I cannot find my serial number. Can you please help me?
I have DVDs of CS4 in my hand but I cannot seem to find the serial numbers written anywhere.
I had to reinstall my backups to the hard disk and since then, the Acrobat gave be message saying that I should open other Adobe softwares, so I tried opening Photoshop, then it gave me the error 150:30 message. I followed all the steps written on the page instructing how to resolve error 150:30. In the end I uninstalled the whole CS4 and now I cannot reinstall because I cannot find the serial number written anywhere, neither in my DVD case.
I would greatly appreciate for your advise in how I can retrieve my serial number. Thank you.
