CS5 tools now expand on single click, not click+hold - new issue.

Hi there Adobenauts,
I've had to reinstall CS5 after a new Windows installation. Never had a problem with it before, but now I have the issue where if I click on a tool that has sub-tools, it now expands to show them. Before, to access them, I had to click and hold for them to appear. Now with them expanding on the first click, it's interrupting my work flow.
Additional issues have arisen while I'm here, such as, when doing web work, I'll change the rectangular marquee to single pixel horizontal (e.g.), make the selection, do what I want with it, then press M to adjust another single pixel line, but it'll return to the full rectangular marquee, like it resets.
I'm running a test at the moment with Open GL disabled, to test drivers or display issues, but it's doing the same thing.
My System:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
AMD Phenom 2 X2 550 3.1GHz
4GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD7800.

I've tried resetting all tools, and I've tried changing the Preferences -> General -> Use Shift... setting, but neither of them appear to resolve the issue. That's quite frustrating ! It's quite peculiar, because another symptom is that when I click on, say, the marquee tool, it expands, then if I click it again, it very quickly hides and re-displays the menu o __O
I've just reset everything, restarted it, tried again; turned OpenGL back on (for whatever good that'll do other than render quality - thought it may have been a GPU hang-up) and restarted. It's still doing it, haha. Hm - has Adobe hidden any more cool potential solutions to this mystery?

T431s Middle click not working (open new tabs in browser)

Hi, I have a brand new t431s here, and I can not get the track point working as expected (and as on all previouse thinkpads since the i-series):
expected behaviour:
middle-click on link -> new tab
middle click&hold and trackpoint-> scrolling
I am not able to find the setting which enable this behaviour.
Any help would be appreciated.

Changed routers now PC with XP will not accesss the new router

My mac works ok with the new A1408 5th generation router, my Iphone works on wifi link, but my pc sees the wifi link( with 5 bars) but will not access the router, its saya i am out of range but iam next to the router. The PC worked with my old belkin router but not the apple router . any suggestions?
Do I need to download airport utility 5.3.3 for my pc to recoginize tn apple router for a wifi link ?

sudo mv /var/db/CodeEquivalenceDatabase /var/db/CodeEquivalenceDatabase.old
Carefully type your admin password when asked & hit enter, as it won't be echoed, then restart the Mac.
The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server.
So since WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.

Did you subscribe to the magazine? Many of the magazine apps are listed as free (for the app that lets you read the magazine) but requires you to subscribe. The subscription may be a paid subscription that you have to purchase.

Some security software is also able to block new window.
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

My headphones are not clicking into my ipod touch 4g 64gb port, and are causing it to pop out at the smallest movement, how can i fix it?

basically it's been a problem for a while now my sennheiser headphones are not clicking in correctly and are popping out at every movement causing it to pause my music, (very annoying) but it works fine if i hold it in, but can't do this all the time.I dom't know what the problem is or how i can fix.

Middle click not opening link in new tab. Windows 7 Firefox 17.0.1

Middle click suddenly stopped opening new tabs when links are clicked on. I was running 16, but updated to 17 (latest) to try to fix the problem. I am using a Logitech mouse and keyboard. Worked until this week.
I really need this working again.

Do you have more than one apple ID? It sounds like you may be getting 2 apple IDs passwords crossed or something.
Try signing in at appleid.apple.com and see if you can sign in there with your new password... do this on a pc or mac... if you can sign in there then it's not the password but the device where you need to recheck your settings/information... if you can't sign in then you need to change your password again and sign out and back in on your device.

Homepage not opening only "new tab" button showing

I noticed some problems with Firefox 18.0.1.
I closed the browser using the "exit" button(not a button but you know what I mean) and the next time I opened the browser instead of my "Home Page" being the first thing I see I instead see a tab with the words "New Tab" and a totally blank page ie white page. When I click on the "Create a new tab" button a new tab does open and my home page is on that tab but isn't on the very first tab.
Another problem is that my tabs are gone from my last session when I re-open the browser. Yes, I have it set up in options that Firefox is "supposed" to show my windows and tabs from my last session and that is NOT happening. I also tried closing the browser using the red "X" and still have the same results. Had I known this was going to be an issue I would have stayed with version 17!!!

I do not like the new Smart Print, How can I get the previous Smart Web Print?

I have 3 computers. On one I have Smart Web Print. It works great and is easy. When I added the 3rd computer I was unable to get that feature and was given Smart Print. I hate it. It takes more steps and thn I don't always what I want and so am wasting paper with it.

Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website. 
You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac). 
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right. 
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

Why doesn't clicking on "+ Open a New Tab" open a new tab?

Clicking on the plus sign at the top of the page at the right end of the open tabs used to open a new tab. It doesn't anymore. How do I open new tabs????

Newstand not uploading new issues

Newstand is not updating some of my subscriptions even though the magazines say the new issue is out. I get a message that

The feed has episodes numbered from 1 to 91, plus a few un-numbered ones. These all show when subscribing in iTunes. However the Store shows only from 19 to 85 plus a few un-numbered ones.
A quick look at the feed coding suggests that it is OK. However it's rather slow to load both in Firefox (which I use as an RSS reader) and when subscribing in iTunes. Attempts to check it a Feedvalidator produce the error 'timed out (Server timed out; misconfigured server?)'.
So it seems possible that the Store is timing out and unable to read the feed, or that the server isn't responding to requests specifically from the Store (I have seen cases where this appears to be happening). This might explain why the newest episodes don't appear, though it's not clear why 1-18 don't.
So your first step is to try to get the server to behave itself.

The exclamation mark is telling you that iPhoto has broken the file path/link to the original file. Assuming you're using iPhoto 9 or later Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.
