CS5 Trial Download Problems

I used a Windows XP computer to download the CS5 Production Premium Mac trial.  This took over 12 hours on a fast broadband connection!
The 9 GB dmg file won't copy to an external drive (I get a disk full error although there is over 300 GB of free space). I also attempted to copy the file over to my networked Mac: the copy stalled at 630 KB and refused to budge.
Direct download to the Mac from the Adobe website also failed this morning.
I would love to try out the cool new CS5 features now, but I'd rather order a DVD and wait two weeks.  Tying up a computer overnight again to then have the download fail again is not a very palatable option.
This is not the first time that I've had trouble with the Akmai download manger: I experienced multiple download failures with CS4 suite.
Why is this so difficult? Please advise.

If your external drive is formatted as FAT32 then it can't have a file over 4GB.  Macs can read NTFS formatted drives so you could reformat your external drive as NTFS and copy the file.
I don't know why the networked copy would fail, I've copied much larger files from my Win7 PC to my iMac via a SMB shared drive on the PC.

  • Is there a CS5 trial download still?

    Hello.
I was wondering if there was a legitimate Illustrator CS5 trial download link on the Adobe website?
    Thank you.

Ok, I am getting very desperate!  I have followed the instructions...I get the files downloaded but get the following message:
The file archive part of Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection is missing.  You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection. Please download all parts.
I have downloaded the files from both links.  I have put both downloads into the same folder.  I have even tried puttin all the individual files from each download into one folder. Nothing works...keep getting this same message!  Getting very frustrated.  I am working with Win 8.  Previous computer was Win 7 Ultimate.  (It died a horrible death...now need to reload the software and of course it is the program I paid $1000 dollars for that I can't find the discs for!)
Please...help!  I am willing to call someone for step by step help or ????

Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first before you click the download link otherwise the download link will not work.
If you don't have a serial number then the trial will only work for 30 days then it will stop working.

  • CS5 Trial Download Issue

I receive the following error/warning from my Anti-Virus when attempting to download the Adobe CS5 trial:
    Gateway Anti-Virus Alert
This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: ArchSMS.FI (Trojan)

I just did the download of Photoshop CS5.1 on a test setup and found no problems using Avast Pro antivirus.  It's either a false positive by your system, or malware so new it's not recognized by others yet.  As Adobe is quite careful, I'd say it's likely the former situation.
It would be a good idea to report it to SonicWALL.  They would be able to confirm whether it's a false positive.

  • Adobe CS5 Trial download on Mac

I am trying to get the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 trial I purchased at school to download on my Mac. It keeps saying the installer failed to initialize.  I downloaded Adobe Support Advisor, but it said it could not find any issues.  Please let me know how to get it to download.

    1. Navigate to Dreamweaver CS6 Downloads page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=dreamweaver
    2. Sign in with your Adobe ID
    3. Copy and paste the following link on the address bar and hit enter :
    Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 English Mac
    http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/DRWV/11/osx10/Dreamweaver_11_LS1.dmg
    4. Save the file.
    5. Run the saved .dmg file to start the installation.

  • CS5 Trial Download Authentication

I'm trying to download Flash CS5 through Download Accelerator Plus (DAP). I've already logged into Adobe website but my DAP keeps on asking username and password authentication for trials2.adobe.com. It does not accept my Adobe username and password. What then is the username and password for trials2.adobe.com supposed to be?

I am sure by now you have this issue resolved - sorry for the tardy response! The supported download methods for the Adobe products are direct Adobe.com links, or through the Akamai Download Manager.

If anyone from Adobe is reading this, please pause my trial. I have an email saying my 30 days has started, but the program isn't even installed yet.
Anyone know how to fix this?

If anyone from Adobe is reading this, please pause my trial.
It's not possible, so forget about it. As for the rest - reinstall Service Pack 3 and possibly other components like the MSInstaller runtime, .NET runtimes or even MS visual Studio 2010 Express. You have something with your DLLs being wrong and hence the installer is messing up operating system detection. Additioanlly, apply any AMD-specific patches and update all your drivers, this is also critical.

  • PE8 Trial Download Problems

I downloaded PE8 and PSE trial Downloads on to my desktop computer and found that my hardware was not sufficient to run the software. I then decided to try again with my laptop so I downloaded PSE with no trouble. I should be so lucky with PE8. No, I have tried three times. The first time I later realized that my machine needed some updating so I updated and tried again. The next time a folder was made but after there was  nothing in the folder. Same thing happened the third time around. There were no errors or anything out of the ordinary with the exception that the folder was empty. Any thoughts?

Some folk have had issues with the downloads, but most of those were either with their browsers, or things like their AV and pop-up blockers. Since you got both to download before, and got PSE to download now, I'd not suspect that you are having issues with either your browser, or with AV/pop-up blocking, but you can check those things out.
Given the timing, and the fact that the Adobe.com site has been undergoing general maintenance, along with the forum servers, AND PrE 8.0.1 has been released, my guess would be that either the maintenance, or maybe an updated download file, is getting in the way. As far as I know, the patch is only available via AutoUpdater, but I'm sure that Adobe is working on a downloadable patch, and is probably updating the trial of PrE 8 also. I'd give Adobe just a bit of time. Let them get the site back up 100% and then check to see if the trial might have also been updated. Were I Adobe, I would likely have pulled the trial, until it could be patched to 8.0.1. Remember, that is but a guess.
    Good luck,

  • Acrobat XI Pro free trial download problems

    Hi,
I'm trying to download the free trial of Acrobat XI Pro, and have downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant, but when I run it, I get the following message:
    Sorry, an error has occured.
The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Please contact the application author.
I currently have Adobe Reader X installed - do I need to uninstall to get this to work?
    Thanks

you can try a direct download to see if that circumvents the issue,

  • CS5 Trial Download

I Downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CS5, but am unable to launch the program and keep getting an error message "The application failed to iniotialize properly (0xc000001d)".
Any ideas on what's gone wrong or what I can do to correct this?
I already uninstalled and reinstalled, but the problem remains the same.
    Thanks in advance

    You have an AMD processor?
If so, download and install the Photoshop 12.0.1 update.  That should fix this error.

  • Indesign CS5 trial installation problems

Hi I have downloaded (two separate downloads and two separate pc's) and neither will activate the trial so we can evaluate if indesign will meet our needs.  Neither PC will activate the trial and other posts complain of similar issues.  There are the log files that other posts were requested to send but I can't see how to upload them with this post.  Please help as we will be upgrading from CS2 if CS5 opens the files we have been sent

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for trying to help us.  The issue is not that we are evaluating the product based on CS Live, it is that during the install process we encounter errors (including messages on screen relating to unable to start CS Live Subscription) but primarily that after the installation appears to complete, If we open Indesign we get a message box saying this product is incorrectly licensed and will now exite.  Then the Trial changes from 30 days to 0.
Any help would be appreciated.  I am sure that Indesign CS5 will open the files we require but I would like to make sure before we invest the money by verifying it with the trial.
    Cheers

  • CS5 Trial Download -- Cannot get past 'starting up plug-ins'

i did some searches through the forum and didn't find any answers about this. I successfully downloaded the trial software for CS5 and extracted and installed it.  After a system restart I tried to open the system, and the startup splash page runs, but when it gets to 'Starting up plug-ins...' i get an error saying the program ran into an unexpected error and had to close.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.  Can someone please help?

    Being Administrator is not enough.
Yes it is...  On Windows XP.  No UAC there, John.
Flydrgn, have you made sure you have the latest video drivers for your particular video interface?

  • Desperate for Photoshop CS5 trial download

I am an instructor for a training company. We are scheduled to provide training at a client's site for Photoshop CS5 Friday and our Photoshop instructor had to leave town for a family emergency.  We cannot cancel the class and so I have to teach it.  I have taught older versions, but not this one.  We have the Master Collection of CS6, but I need to prep using CS5. No stores in the area have it anymore. The hour is late, time is short, and I am desperate to download the trial version of Photoshop CS5.  Can anyone help?

Follow the download instructions extremely carefully in order for a necessary cookie to become set.
