CS5 trial will not start

I down loaded trial CS5 extended.  It loaded to the computer. I opened and installed the trial version.  I opened the program and it goes to the license agreement and I click on accept and it come right back to the license agreement every time and never opens the program.  I have a AMD quad 4 9600 2.2 processor and 3 g ram, 500 g hard drive, windows vista home premium, Norton antivirus from Comcast.  I have de-installed and reinstalled and still does the same thing.  Anyone got suggestions?

  • Photoshop CS5 trial will not open - "illegal seek" message

I have Mac OS X 10.7.3 installed. The Adobe Download Assistant is stuck in extracting mode, which I can't seem to get rid of even after deleting the Adobe Download Assistant dmg and reinstalling it. Since I was not able to open the Photoshop CS5 dmg (I received the illegal seek message), I deleted it. I have tried redownloading the Adobe Download Assistant, but I can't seem to get it out of its extracting state. What do I do? I have tried 2 different internet connections also... since I saw that was recommended on someone else's post that had the same issue.
    Thanks

I've been at this for days, I've uninstalled, reinstalled, clean scripted, everything i could think of. I have no luck with anything! What is strange is that Bridge will still work, but just Photoshop alone won't.
If anyone could help .. in anyway at all, it would be greatly appreciated!

Bridge is not tied to any restrictions in terms of activation or requiring specific components to be in place, hence it almost always works. Do you correctly run the install with administrative privileges?

  • My After Effects CC Trial Will Not Start

Hi all. So I downloaded the trial of After Effects CC on my new computer (custom built) but it always crashes at startup and I have no idea how to fix it. Any insight to this would be incredibly helpful.
The splash screen appears but stops at "Initializing Mediacore"
After that, a window pops up with the message "After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <2972><GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 3.
After that the program completely crashes.
I'm Running Windows 7 Pro with an Intel i7 4790 and 8 gigs of ram.

Did you accidentally install a CUDA driver? (For example, DaVinci Resolve often installs one.)
    What GPU do you have?

  • CS5.5 will not open...

So I just re-installed CS5.5 on my computers, (clean install, I used Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to remove any previous versions) and every other Adobe application opens except for Adobe Flash Professional, Adobe Flash Builder and Adobe Flash Catalyst.
I went into AppData and checked for fontinfo.txt, but because Flash never ran; it isn't there.
I also tried waiting for Flash to open, but whenever I wait, it closes itself.
    ** EDIT **
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1

Anyone else having a problem with this?

I'm sorry, this is not an answer but another person with the same issue.
My Flash CS3 works fine, I have installed the trial Flash CC and it runs fine, but my Flash CS5.5 will not open either.  I have tried similar things you have, all of my other CS5.5 programs open and after a lengthy Norton check it has not found a virus.
If anyone has found a resolution it would be greatly appreciated.

    Mac OS 10.5 /
I deleted the " Private" folder ... and emptied the trash. So the folder and its contents no longer exists on my computer at all !!!
I do have the OS 10.5 dvd that i purchased years ago...
But my computer will not start from it on its own.
My question is what is the open source or terminal language code used to tell my mac to look in the DVD rom drive for startup info?  I know that im not the only person in this world who has deleted the "PRIVATE" folder and emptied the trash so it no longer exists on their machine...
That said theres gotta be a common fix for a Power PC G4 that has the OS X dvd in the rom drive but wont look to it to reinstall the vital contents of the PRIVATE folder.
Once again there is not a copy of this file or its contents in the recycle bin...
Also rebooting the machine , pressing and holding the letter C does not prompt the machine to look to the dvd rom drive.
I was reinstalling pro tools and figured I would make some room by cleaning my computers HD...
Lol It was a bad choice to delete this file ...
    Thanks guys

Okay sorry it took forever to respond... But for a while there I gave up on this computer!!!!
Money's been tight lately , so taking it in to a professional was not yet an option... though I did consider it eventhough.
Anyway long story short im glad I didnt spend any money because I already had all the tools necessary to fix this issue but was going about it in the wrong way. Okay so here is my scenario and the breakdown... Though this may not fix the issue for everyone :( which *****... But I know we all will have different circumstances.
    Anyway here we go...
Okay so first things first....  Years ago I purchased the OS 10.5.1 disk ... So that has always been in my possession!!!!
I realize that some may not have a disk to reflash your OS to your hard drive... but if you do your in luck.
2ndly ... I had an external harddrive with all of my itunes downloaded music so it was more than okay with me to delete my primary HD because all the important stuff could either be copied over or repathed to be located.
-------If you dont want to read through the whole story the fix is summed up in the bottom section-------
    Okay so now the SOLUTION!!!!
By trial and error , and pure boredom I opened up my computer to clean the inside...
    AND
    "Disconnected the primary HD"
and just because ....... REBOOTED my computer. Just to see what it would do.
Upon restart and though it looked like it would repeat its usual cycle...
About 1 minute in to that process my computer froze for about 2 seconds and flashed to the OS installation screen.
Mind you I havent seen this screen yet... Probably hasnt been since I installed the OS years ago.
After a bit of trial and error...
I decided to tell my computer to startup from the OS 10.5 disk located in my dvd rom drive and restarted once again...
    this setting is under
    Utilities / startup disk
After a little more trial and error ... I realized that I could reconnect the primary HD , restart the machine and return to the OS installation menu.
    So upon this discovery
I went to the Disk Utility located under Utilities
Highlighted my primary HD located in the left hand column
    Once highlighted ...
In the heading section on the right I selected the option
    Erase
in which I erased My current OS on my primary HD ...
I used the first option in the list under security... Because it seemed like the least invasive and would take the least amount of time to see if this process would actually work.
    I FORGOT to add something...
Another reason why I deleted my primary HD!!!!!
I forgot to say that it WOULD NOT!!!!! Show up in the STARTUP list as an option...Even After multiple reboots....
But like clockwork... Once I deleted its name IT SHOWED UP as an option!!!!
So back to the next step...
I returned to the STARTUP option under utilities ... And was then able to see MY primary HD now as a startup option...
But ofcourse it had no name because it we previously erased it.
So when Clicking my newly erased HD ... I was almost immediately prompted to REINSTALL the OS ...
Which said it would take about 57 minutes ... But I believe was alot less...
My issue was resolved ... My computer then stated the install was SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!! :))))))))))) lol ;)
It was like I was setting up for the first time ;) asking for my registration info...
The dilemma of deleting the private folder and emptying the trash is finally over resolved. Done ... and no extra money spent!!!!!!!!!
Its really crazy that the information for such a simple thing is not readily available. Especially being such a simple fix.
I know im not the only person who's had this issue , because i've seen numerous posts with similar wording.
I also know I wont be the last person to have this issue... So I hope this synopsis makes sense.
    -------One more time the fix------
*Insert your OS dvd into your dvd rom drive.
*Unplug your primary HD or corrupted startup disk
    *Reboot your machine...
Upon restart your primary HD will not be recognized...
    * you will then be prompted to select your language.
    Once selected
*Click Utilities/startup... Highlight the the selection that refers to the OS dvd located in the dvd rom drive.
    * Click restart...
!!!!!!!!!!Be sure to reconnect your Primary HD Before your computer restarts and you hear the chime!!!!!!!!
If you do not replug your HD before the chime it will not be recognized.
    In that case restart again.
    Upon restart once again
    *Choose your language...
    *Click Utilities / disk utility
In the left column select and
    *Highlight your HD ...
Then towards the top portion / center of the page
    *Click the heading Erase
Then on the page toward the bottom
    *Click security options
This will then provide erase options.
    I USED THE FIRST OPTION
    "Dont erase data"...
    *click OK
    * click erase...
Once erased which should take a few seconds
    *Cancel the disk utility...
    * Click Utilities / startup
And your newly erased HD should now appear in the list.
    * Select your drive from the list by highlighting
It should no longer have a name.
*Once selected, you will then be prompted to restart and install the OS to your newly erased HD...
    Thats it!!!!
Once everything reinstalls re-add your personal info or registration info and you are up and running.
    Goodluck ;)

  • Fireworks CS5.1 will not run for a specific user.

I am in the IT dept. of my organization and we have Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 installed on many systems.  On one particular system, we installed the CS5.5 Web Premium suite and when the end user (who is not an administrator on their workstation) started to use it, she found that Fireworks CS5.1 will not load.  When she clicks on it to launch it, it starts to load, then she gets the spinning beachball and the application stops responding.
I created a local (non-AD) account on her machine with admin privileges, and when she logs into it, Fireworks immediately loads and works properly.
Our security rules do not allow users to operate as administrators on their workstations.  So my question is - what can I do to get Fireworks to load and run properly for a standard user account?
Interestingly, all other CS5.5 apps seem to work just fine for her.

Have you tried giving the user administrative privileges?

  • Dreamweaver CS6 will not start

I've had this problem for several weeks and thought I had it fixed by resetting the Preferences (http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs4-cs5.html), however, my DCS6 application will not start again, and it seems to happen when I'm out of my docking station, and working from home.
Initally, I uninstalled/reinstalled DCS6 twice, and each time it worked, and then stopped working when I got out of the dock.  Then, as I said, I found the documentation to remove the established Preferences.  It worked fine in the office, but will not load again working from home.
The DW logo comes up on the screen, but hangs there.  It never loads plug-ins or any of the other animations I normally see on the logo screen during a normal launch.  The only way to stop the logo is to open Task Manager, locate Dreamweaver(whatever).exe under the Processes Tab and End Task.  Dreamweaver is not listed in the Applications Tab.
Fortunately, Dreamweaver CS5.5 wasn't automatically deleted when I installed the new software, and it works fine, so at least I can get my work done.
i need some help with this, please.
    Thank you.
    Frank

So I take it that you have also cleared the registry entries as suggested in the document linked in your first post.
So we now need to prove that your Windows Profile isn't the culprit to make DW un-startable.  To prove this, create a new user account  on your machine (temporary or otherwise).  To do this follow these instructions:
    To create a user account
To open User Accounts, click the Start button , click Control Panel, click User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click User Accounts.
Click Manage another account. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
      Click Create a new account.
Type the name you want to give the user account, click an account type, and then click Create Account.
Please post back if this worked or not.  If it worked then you may want to use this account for your DW work otherwise we need to find some other solution.  Make sure the account is Limited if you plan to use for everyday work because creating an Administrator account is not advisable.
    Good luck this time.

  • CS4 will not start.

My CS4 will not start. I removed in through the control panel and reloaded.  It still will not start.  What should I do?

Your reference to the Control Panel sounds like you are using Windows?  What I suggest is that you unistall again, and then use the Cleaning tool from this link
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Hopefully it will install and work OK after that.  If not, come back, but tel us exactly what operating system you are using.

  • DW CS4 Will Not Start

I'm using DW CS4 and have been for many months without any problems - Version 10.0/Build 4117. All of a sudden it will not start, When I click on its icon I see the big green DW block and then a Microsoft notice saying Dreamweaver CS4 has stopped working - a problem..... and the only choice I have is to close the program. I've restarted my computer and tried again, with no success. The program sits in my Program Files/Adobe folder on my C: drive.
I badly need the program for the work I'm doing. I've added no new software to my computer lately - at least none that I know of.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
I meant create a new user account on your laptop. There are some settings that are stored on a per user basis so creating a new user may clear a setting.
However, that may not help in your case - I have been trying to help someone else and got your two problems mixed up.
The only reason that I had the editor fail before was resolved by running the disk cleanup and check tools.
As you have returned the product, you could try installing the trial version. If you get it to work, then you may be able to buy a boxed version from Amazon or similar. I'm not sure where you are but the boxed version can often be on special offer from the big stores at a cheaper price.

lotto.nl will not start, only with microsoft explorer on my laptop asus x 51 series

    Dear Smith_123:
Thank you for your reply. However, Office had never been previously on the OS as it was never purchased.  I do have Office for Mac 2011 but that is 32 bit and is not on the VMWare / Windows side of the machine.  But even if I had, I would not know
how to clean up the residual file or registry keys without assistance.
After 1 hours and 20 min on the phone last evening and being handed from person to person through literally 9 different people, I finally reached someone that seemed knowledgeable in MS Support.  But all they would give me was a circular answer:
We can't help you because it is a Trial Version for which there is no support offered. When I explained I wanted to be sure Visio worked on my machine prior to spending between $300 and $600 on a copy, Support could only say that I would have to purchase it
first before they would give me any help to see if it works. When I offered to purchase it right then since I had finally gotten to someone who appeared as though they could help, he told me that he was Support and not Sales so I would have to go elsewhere
to purchase the product.  Very frustrating.
