CS5 trouble with updating main template & pages

Sorry I'm new at this & didn't realize I needed a full title in the subject area. I 'put', I test & it all looks good. But when I go on line the changes didn't work in the main template in the navigation & the side bar ads & promoos don't change on all the pages - again - even tho' when I test in Firefox & Explorer they do show up updated.

CS5 trouble with updating main template & pages is a dreamweaver problem

The web site is www.KosherWoman.com which I work on with DWCS5.
Whenever I update anything - the nav,- add a side bar ad or promo or add a new page - I test it via F12. It shows the changes on my pages, on the nav & on the side bars. But when I upload it to my server,the changes aren't reflected on-line. I use the 'put' method & when that doesn't work I expand to show the local & remote site & I drag & drop with Dependent files as a yes. Again, the changes do not occur.
After failing to have the changes show up when I copied the dreamweaver site to a flash drive & tried it on another computer in my office, I then gave it to a co-worker who went home & tried it putting the flash drive on his computer. He has DW CS4 & tried to update pages from there. He, too, tested with F12 & everything was correctly changed but they also failed to take after being 'put' & after trying both from dreamweaver & from remote - the old fashioned way of dragging & dropping. The site has been up since January & only developed this problem a couple of weeks ago.
Is this a Dreamweaver problem or possibly a problem of my hosting company earthlink.net.?

OK I am not currently on Windows 7 machine so I will tell you what I do in Windows XP. The method is still the same in Windows 7.
1) Open/Click on Network from your start button (the one you said you have got it)
2) now in windows XP, I see something like this:
3) Now can you see the first item that says Add a Network Place? Click on it
4) For about one or two windows you just need to click next until you come to a screen that looks like this:
In the above box you need to enter the FTP address like ftp://yourdomain.com (whatever your host has told you about this)
You just continue doing this - follow the on screen instructions and you are done.
If I get time I'll see if I can post exact instructions for Windows 7 or somebody else like John Waller can do this because he has a better machine than mine! My machine is refurbished from old systems I found on some streets discarded by some business!

When opening any page associated with Google (main search page, gmail, google maps, etc) the font is so tiny it is unreadable. Any other website is fine and this only happens with Mozilla. I just downloaded 3.6.12 and it's still a problem.

Trouble with updating apps

Having trouble with updating some of my apps. You Tube esp.

Apps are tied to the account that downloaded the apps, not to the device that they are on, so any apps that your son downloaded can only be updated via his account and vice versa.
You can sign in and out of accounts via Settings > Store and tapping the account on the right-hand side. If you no longer use the apps that your son downloaded then you could delete them (or if they are free apps you could delete and then download them under you account) - you could always reset to factory settings (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Setting) and reload just your apps from scratch (apps can be re-downloaded for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519), which is a 'cleaner' way of doing it

Trouble with updating child pages in dreamweaver cs4

Hello,
I have added some advertising links to my template page in Dreamweaver CS4 and it doesn't update my child pages for some reason. I have saved the template and synchronized the sitewide as normal but it isn't updating them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it has worked in the past.
Not if you made those changes to an editable region in the template it didn't. Changes made to a template page ONLY propagate to child pages if they have been made to non-editable regions. Changes to editable regions of a template page will ONLY appear in child pages created from the template after the changes have been made, and will not propagate to existing child pages.
so does that mean if I add content to editable region I will have to manually put it on each page
Yes it means exactly that.
Can I change the editable region to a non editable region
You can do that by removing the editable region from the template. Of course when you do that, all unique content appearing in those regions on your child pages will also be removed.
The moral to the story is to make sure that your template is designed properly (vis-a-vis editable regions) so that all of your needs are accommodated.

Flash no longer working when updating a template page

Recently switched from GoLive over to DW CS3. I've purchased Total Training for DW CS3 to help me with the transition.
I am wanting to create a template page to use for the entire site so that if I need to make a change to the template, it updates my entire website. When I upload the page, the flash image loads fine. The problem I'm having is if I reopen the template.dwt page and make a change, when DW updates the pages that are linked to the template, the flash image in the pages no longer work.
Here are my steps I've taken:
1. Created a page called index.html
2. Made an editable region called "main content" using Insert>Template Objects>Editable Region
3. Created a folder called templates in the root directory
4. File>Save as Template and called it home.html (for testing so I don't mess up my working index.html page)
5. File>New>Page from Template and selected my template.dwt file
6. Added content to the page.
7. File>Save As company-history.html
8. Upload index.html, home.html and company-info.html to the server.
Everything works like it is supposed to.
9. Open template.dwt and make a change.
10. Save page and DW updates the home.html and company-info.html pages
11. Upload to server
12. Flash image on those two pages stop working

Trouble with updates

Hi all,
So I installed my Design Premium CS4 on a new mac running Lion last night. No troubles with the installation itself, except that I forgot each program creates its own folder in my applications directory, which is my fault for not remembering this from the last install on my old computer. This means I have over a dozen Adobe products at the top of my finder, not to mention the shortcuts for the programs and the uninstalls taking up almost a whole page on my launchpad, which I realise is not really Adobe's fault either.
Anyhow, I moved everything to it's own sub-directory in Applications, then open each one so it can repair itself from having its files moved since installation. Then I run the updater and the updater creates a new folder for each update in my Applications directory, separate from the 'Adobe' folder I've just created to contain everything in CS4, undermining my previous move.
On to my question(s). Is there a way I can stop this from happening in the future? Do I really have to uninstall each program then reinstall the whole lot? Can I just move the update files into their corresponding folders where I've got them now (Applications/Adobe/)? I'm afraid doing that will cause more hassles down the track. And not that it matters now, but why does the updater not update to the current location of the programs? Perhaps something for the Adobe folks to fix for next time.

I'm having trouble with auto-correct in Pages

I am having trouble with auto-correct spelling in Pages. I have read a past discussion of this in which I believe the last comment was made in 2012. (I have the latest Macbook Pro purchased Dec 2012 and it is totally updated.) The problem is just with one word, as far as I can tell. It seems that perhaps the older problem of contractions has been resolved except for one word: "hasn't". Auto correct insists that it should be "hans't". I follwed the suggestions offered in the previous discussion about using SYMBOL AND TEXT SUBSTITUTION to correct the word but it hasn't worked. Do I just have to live with this? Surely there is a way to fix this problem? I really like using the auto-correction and would hate to have to stop using it just for one word. Thanks in advance for your help.

It should work if you have a Symbol and Text Substitution set for hans't → hasn't. Are you sure you have this substitution checked, or Symbol and Text Substitution checked overall?

TROUBLE WITH UPDATING CREATIVE CLOUD

I'm struggling to download CC update - i've used the other versions however when i try to download the newest update it just stops - EVERY single time.
The Message is something like this: 'Trouble with other file(s) error code:205
Can someone please help me, i've tried almost everything - different emails, unistalling it etc etc but still nothing.

Trouble with Update Panel in Chrome browser

I work with update panel.

In IE all working fine. In Chrome and Firefox after ~30 seconds if i tried to clicked any button the postback is done and page will reset.

Having trouble with custom web auth page on 4404

Hi all
I am having trouble with a custom web auth page on my controller, we have edited the original file, but when we click login it goes to page cannot be displayed and it doesnt redirect to the page I want, however when I close the window and reopen it has already authenticated me.
Has anyone got a copy of some working html code I can use ?

There is sample Web Authentication bundle avaiable for download from cisco.com. if you go to the software download page and go to Wireless->Standalone Controllers->4404 you should see a link for Wireless Lan Web Authentication Bundle.
Its the same bundle whether you have a WiSM, 4404 or 2100

Trouble with Update snow leopard 10.6.8 and 10.6.7

Hi,
Since one week, I have trouble with snow leopard.
My child has shut down our imac roughly with the on/off button. So after the restart and before the blue screen the display
is frozen with crazy pixel. I have to look for information for a week, tried all the reset (alt cmd P R , reset smc, safe mode etc ...)
After that I' installed all the OSX snow leopard with the DVD with the 10.6 version
This version is ok and the imac works fine but if I'upgrade this version to 10.6.8 with the combo package
I have the same problem : the display is frozen with crazy pixels
And If I' upgrade with the combo package 10.6.7 somme windows are grey and the menu is grey, the apple menu is black
The fonts are bad.
Before all these installation, I perfromed a smc reset, four times nvram reset, erase hard drive and after
that installation of snow leopard.
The Safe Mode works. Hardware test is OK . disk is Ok ( I used the disk utility),permission is OK

Try re-installing the big 10.6.8 Combo...

Repair Permissions afterwords, reboot.
If that doesn't do it, it sounds like a video card problem, have you blown the dust out lately?
Boot off your *original* Install Disk while holding down the *d key*, (not c key), then run the extended Apple Hardware Test. Some disks require you to use the Option key at bootup to select AHT. Some Discs have it inexplicably on Disc #2.

Trouble with update for illustrator 16.2.1

I'm having trouble downloading and installing the update for illustrator 16.2.1. I keep getting an error message. anyone else having this problem?

Having the same issues, keep getting the error after it tries installing, I wish I could remember what the error was but everytime I try to install it, get the error and then can only use Illustrator after un-install and then re-install. Seems like ever since it went to this Application manager I have more issues with updates.

Trouble with update 6.0

I can't use my yahoo email. It just keeps sayin to verify my password. I even changed my password and it still won,t work.I also cleaned out my cookies and it will work once but when I try again it doesn't.I also tried going in with a different acct. and it still won't work. My yahoo email works fine on my i-mac. Now I just turned on my ipad and the map app. won't work.I hope apple does something about this update.

Troubles with my main Skype account - Please help ...

Ok, so it's like this.
I used to talk with my friends on my main Skype account ALL the time. For that reason, I would always have the option to 'sign me in automatically' checked, so I didn't have to keep entering in my password over and over because it's quite long. Well, one day, Skype stopped signing me in automatically for some reason. By that point, it had been so long since I entered my password that I actually forgot what it was (silly of me, I know). So I figured, "All right, no big deal, I can just reset it using my e-mail address".
When I went to reset my password using my e-mail address, there were two other Skype accounts attached to it; neither of them were my main account. I don't understand how this is possible, because I use only one e-mail address for pretty much everything. I know for a fact that my main account was registered with that e-mail address. So now, I've lost all of my friends Skype names just because I can't access my main Skype account. The only piece of information I have is my Skype name. I don't remember my password and I can't reset it because it says it isn't registered to my main e-mail.
I have another e-mail address on Yahoo! that I barely use. I tried to reset my password with that as well, thinking that perhaps I used it instead, but no luck.
What should I do? I really want my main account back. Is there any way I can fix this?
