CS5 XP installer error/warning message

Hi,
When I start the PS CS5 Windows installer DVD (full version), I get a warning message:  "Adobe Installer -- Installer has detected that a machine restart may be pending.  It is recommended that you quit installer, restart and try again."  There are two buttons:  Ignore and Continue, and Quit.  The first time I saw this, I quit and restarted and then started the install DVD again.  I got the same message, but this time I clicked Ignore and Continue.  The installation proceeded without problems.
Anyone know why I would get this error message?  It happens every time in insert the install DVD.
Thank you.
John

I found this:

I'm not sure why this happened, but since it caused no problems, I will consider this "case closed."
Thanks...
John

I just received my new Production Premium CS5.5 Upgrade package,  Since things were getting ratty with the old Win 7 64 I tried to do a fresh install on my Dell Win 7 64-bit  T7500 workstation.  However, I ran into errors similar to those pointed out by Todd here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/902/cpsid_90243.html  However, I had a few more in the error summary:

    Bill

For what it's worth, I just went through and extended session with Adobe support re: CS5.5 throwing an error up front, i.e., aborting the installation before it got under way. It turned out my problem was with the Adobe Flash Player. Apparently, if you've updated your flash player to a later version than is included in the CS5.5 installer, it will throw an error. In my case, I had just updated my Flash Player to 10.3 a day or 2 before I tried to install PP CS5.5. The cure was uninstalling Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X and Plugin and running the installation again, which encountered no errors/problems. I went ahead and updated to Flash Player 10.3 afterwards with no problems (so far).
If my memory serves me correctly, a couple of weeks when I installed Design Premium CS5.5, I got an error message after the installation that mentioned the Flash Player, but I couldn't detect any problems with with any of the programs I subsequently used. I think at that time I was running and updated version of Flash Player 10, but am pretty sure I had not installed 10.3 at that time. I'm guessing that whether it throws a pre or post installation error may depend on which package your installing and/or which Flash Player 10+ version your using.

  • Photoshop CS5.1 Installation Error

Alright, this is the first time this error has appeared for me. I have used Photoshop since the very early versions, but never had an error like this one.
Basically, I run the setup as usual (yes I've tried to upgrade) and install it. Then after a while I get this error:
There were problems with your installation. Some required components may have failed to install. This could impact functionality of installed applications.
How can I fix this? I need to access Photoshop asap.
    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.
I cannot even finish the install at all, meaning that I had to go back to CS5 (which works). It's CS5.1 that doesn't work.
    Here's the install log:

  • Missing Times font error/warning message

I've been getting a warning message the the Times font could not be found and Times New Roman is replacing it. I've never added Times to the FrameMaker templates, so I'm not sure where it's finding this font. I checked the References pages and it appears that they already use Times New Roman.
I had also had a problem with FM saying that Arial Black isn't available (even though it's installed on my computer). But once I double-clicked on the font file, it seemed to recognize the Arial Black was available.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Barry

There are two slightly different things gong on with these two font problems, I think.
First, it's generally thought to be a FM Best Practice to use the Adobe PDF instance as your default system printer. If you can't, for some reason, there's a free plug-in that will automatically do this just for Frame. Doing this prevents Frame from using fonts that are physically in the printer, but not installed on your system, and not transportable with the document (and can't be embedded in PDFs). And conversely, makes sure that FM uses system fonts. So that may fix some of these problems.
That said, if you're sure your system is set up properly, the Time font you may be missing is likely to be buried deep in some Frame files and is being used internally on Reference or Master pages. If you modify your Preferences so that Remember Missing Fonts is NOT activated, open and save the problem files, your available fonts should be substituted.
Arial Black is a slightly different problem, but you can do the same Preferences trick to clean it up. Or, fix the problem, created with XP SP3 changed the fonts.... http://icrontic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71801

Please any suggestion on how i can rectify these before deploying my app to Standalone Weblogic Server on a production environment?
    Thanks..
    OBI

Also i tried accessing the WEB-INF/web.xml for "org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.CHECK_FILE_MODIFICATION" and it was set to FALSEAs I recall, the integrated WLS (the one that runs when you run from JDeveloper) always automagically sets this to TRUE, regardless of the web.xml settings.

  • Error/warning message "you don't have permission to modify files in this network location"

    Hi,
We have a windows server 2008 running, and we access it via remote desktop. And there's this certain folder that all users access, and where we save important files. So, since this is where important files are stored, we wanted to disable deletion (and if
possible moving) of the folder and everything under it. However, it's harder than i thought. Right now, we have the permissions "Delete" and "Delete files and subfolders" disabled already, BUT when we try to save a file to this folder,
    we got this warning/error message:
"You don't have permission to modify files in this network location"
The file is saved however, but there's no content. But when we try to cut/copy an existing file to this folder, it works.
Does anyone know how a workaround on this issue. I've already spent days configuring the settings, and when one works, another issue comes up. This is really frustrating.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
What are NTFS Permissions and Share Permissions of the shared folder? If you remove delete permissions, when someone tried to create a new folder, they couldn't rename it. Without Delete permission, we can open, modify a file and save with the same file name
but cannot create a new file with a new name.
For more detailed information, please refer to the thread below:

  • Adobe photoshop cs5 extended installation error (Mac); Inconsistency in installer database

Just bought CS5 Extended and ran into this problem on my Mac Book Pro running macos-x 10.6.4.
I tried to restart a few times but to no avail;....I also downloaded the advisor application and it did not turn anything up; no issues encountered......Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion djnickatnight.  I ran the cleaner and it seems that I will *finally* be able to install CS5
I am running 10.6.8 OS on a MBP attempting to install CS5.  I installed LR3 in no time, but CS5 has been a nightmare!
I hope Adobe reads these forums to understand the level of frustration and time expended installing their products.
Quick list of Adobe issues I've encountered, with fixes as I waded through the process:
Find where to download software you've purchased at Adobe-  hard to do since Downloads menu only shows current offerings (LR4, CS6, etc)Not obvious, had to google to find out:  You must look under Your Orders, where you will find a download button.
What the heck is Akamai Download Manager?   I decided to give Adobe the benefit of a doubt and downloaded it.  Akamai buried itself so deeply into your machine that I had to do a search to find out that it was now inside my System Preferences (not a location for an app!).  Weird.
Click on Akamai and find . . . . .NOTHING!!!  Ta Da!   And no instructions or menu (Yes, I read the ReadMe.pdf.  No help there either).   Litterally, there is an empty box, with no instruction how to begin the CS5 download.  Nothing.
Finally after trial and error I discover that the FIRST time you click Akamai Download Mgr. it installs inself,  the SECOND time you click the same link, it will begin to download the *.dmg file you seek.  How obscure is that???  Click same link, but get different results.  Lame.
After all of that I got a variety of input/output errors, and hang ups.  This is a on a machine that was reformatted with new OS the day before, BTW.
More google searches, gnashing of teeth, etc.
Finally found this page, which recommended to use CSC cleaner:  http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html  This seems to work and I am now nearly installed.    WHEW!
Bottom line, it was way too difficult to install CS5.   The Akamai interface desperately needs documentation.  The install should not take two days and multiple hours to read up and try to get lucky and actually get what I paid for.  Please.

  • Error/Warning Messages in Agent Debug Log Files

I have noticed the following error message in the Agent Debug Log Files and was wondering if anybody could shed any light on their meaning or what might be causing them.
Warning 1855:####### ServiceEngine: Service::getPolicyResult():No passwd value in session response.
Warning 1855:####### PolicyAgent: Access Manager Cookie not found.
    Error 1855:####### AM_SSO_SERVICE: SSOTokenService::getSessionInfo(): Error 18 for sso token ID <SSO_TOKEN_ID>

    hi
Looks like the message numbers you are processing in the function module CRM_MESSAGE_COLLECT are only for 'errors'.
    Please go to Transaction: CRMC_MSGS
Look at the following Application Areas
    CRM_ORDER
    CRM_ORDERADM_H
    CRM_ORDERADM_I
    CRM_ORDER_MISC
    CRM_ORDER_OUTPUT
Select one of the above and double click 'Single Messages' towards your left side on the screen. Select the relavant message number from the list and check the 'S' flag. Press 'F1' (help) on this box and you will see the following.
Only error messages are saved in the processing log. If a message definitely should be saved - contrary to this rule - then the indicator needs to be set.
You need to make sure that a message marked like this can be deleted again - by calling up the function module CRM_MESSAGES_DELETE in the appropriate place in the program.
When you do these steps, please note the message 'Do not make any changes (SAP data)'. This is not tested and used from my side. Please see if this impacts other functions. I am not sure. Do necessary R&D before you proceed further. Please explore tables CRMC_MESSAGES_S and CRMC_MESSAGES and see if this helps.
    Reward if helps

  • MSS - ECM - Have control about the error/warning messages

    Hi experts,
    We're working on MSS 6.0 EHP2.
We need to manage the messages appeared in the Compensation Planning scenario. It's possible to get a lot of messages if you have many employees. Then, I'd like to manage those messages to filter only the most important ones.
In the presentation situated in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/e04131e7-a828-2b10-23bd-9fcf1a33e418, page 24 it shows: "Messages appear as defined in Customizing" But I don't know how I can do it.
I can personalize the iview and put the message area to invisible, but then we lost all the messages and that it what we don't want.
    Could you please help me??
    Thanks

Messages returned are of types : Informational, Warning and Error. What you can do (if you want to do from WD Java side ) try checking the BEcmplanning Web Dynpro Component present in MSS-ECM development component. There if you go to the context of the component controller you will see a context node named something as  MD_Messages .... This context is filled at the time a backend function module is called and then based on the selected plan type  FPM message manager gets the related message and displays in the message area. What you can do is.. before it gets displayed you can write a small logic to filter the messages..
In our case actually  requirement was something related to more customization, where we needed to add (some messages based on custom logic) and remove some of the SAP message. So what we did, after getting the message from SAP standard Function module we passed the message table content to our custom function module which at the backend filtered/added messages and the final messages  we got from our custom function module, were placed back into the MD_Messages context so the FPM message manager displays what we finally gave to it.

  • Error/warning message:  this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this ipad

For a few days now I have been getting this error message appearing every few minutes.  Is there a way to stop it?  it appears when nothing is attached.  I'm not charging my iPad and have not attached any cables / accessories other than the USB cable supplied when I bought it less than a year ago

Have you tried to give your iPad a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. WHen you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.
That message started with iOS7 which brought with it software that looks for signed chips in approved accessories.  If the maker of the accessory got permission from Apple, then they got signed chips to put in their  accessories, but if the manufacturer didn't get permission then the chips aren't signed and trigger that error. HOwever it's only supposed to happen when something is plugged in, which is why a reset may help. Force the iPad to reboot and see if it can figure out that there's nothing plugged in.
