Cs6: am trying with adobe dreamweaver to upload/connect to server, unsuccessfully

I am trying with adobe dreamweaver cs6 to upload/connect to server, unsuccessfully, is it permissions problem? See attachment…?
Manage Sites – Connect
Upload/download – no Connect
Although I cannot PUT/UPLOAD from
http://www.l-web-dev.net/ (http://www.paphoscarhire.mobi/l-web-dev) (from managed Sites I connect success but still cannot upload)
but I can upload to this subweb/subfolder from http://www.paphoscarhire.mobi/ that is parent of above, any suggestion?

Before doing anything else, take a couple of weeks to
gothrough the DW
tutorials, and also to study HTML and CSS. The more you know
about those,
the easier your transition will be. DW expects alot more from
you than FP
did, and as a result, you may find it much more frustrating
to have the raw
reality of web development staring you in the face rather
than the wizards
of FP.

1. I'd define a Dreamweaver site that points to a location on
your hard
drive for the local site's root, and to the current FP site
on the web as
the remote site
2. I'd use Dreamweaver (if your host supports FTP
connections) to download
the remote site to the root of the site you just defined on
the hard drive.
This will pick up all the pages *after* webbot action so that
shared borders
and all are already present in the page HTML. This will also
pick up all of
the server scripting. Note - in the event that you are not
able to connect
using FTP since some FP hosts block that protocol, you will
have to use a
third party 'site copier' like Black Widow, QuadSucker, or
WebCopier, (or
even the DW extension called SiteAssist from WebAssist) to
connect and

3. I'd create a DW template for the pages, that captures the
"shared
border"
effect you had in FP.
4. I'd copy and paste content from each FP pages to a new

are saving the new child pages into the same local site as
the FP pages).
5. When the basic site is completed, I'd upload the new DW
pages to some
staging area/webspace, and by using the browser, I'd verify
that the site
(as it now exists remotely) is complete.
6. Then I'd create a *new* DW site in a new location on the
hard drive, and
connect to and download all the files from the staging site.
7. You can now delete the original FP site from your local
system if you
want.
You now have a complete site (minus any of the FP extension
server-side
code) that has no FP footprint.
If you have used any FP server extension functions on the
original FP site
(form processing, guestbooks, tables of contents, etc.), you
will have to
recreate those functions in DW using 3rd party scripts, or
scripts that you
write yourself.

Problems Creating a "Fluid Grid Layout" with Adobe Dreamweaver CS6

I am trying to create a fluid grid layout in Dreamweaver CS6 (which I know how to do), the problem is Dreamweaver started automatically saving the boilerplate.css & respond.min.js in the Dreamweaver program folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\configuration\BuiltIn\Fluid Grid Layout\) it does not ask me to save the boilerplate.css or the respond.min.js docs as it normally does. Dreamweaver CS6 also creates a css document instead of the html page it should create. I called Adobe support, however they offer no support for "Fluid Grid Layouts", and I cannot seem to find a solution to this problem anywhere on the internet. If anyone knows how to fix this so it will work properly again it will be greatly appreciated!

If you have restored the preferences correctly and the issue is still unresolved I would recommend checking the workflow again.
Define a new site in Dreamweaver.
File < New Fluid Grid Layout < Create. Doctype set to HTML5 and no CSS file attached.
A dialog box will pop up, prompting you to save the CSS for this design. This is your custom style sheet. Give a "filename.css" < Click Save.
Once you've done that, the layout for the mobile device appears in the design view as an "untitled" new document with related files listed as "boilerplate.css","respond.min.js" and "filename.css" i.e your custom CSS file.
File < Save < "filename.html". < Save. On clicking Save it will show a popup with the message: Copy Dependent Files, which are boilerplate.css and respond.min.js.
I hope this helps else let us know if issue is on all the new sites and fluid grid pages that you create?

How to use Adobe dreamweaver for upload to website?

Hi,
I am designing my website in Adobe Dreamweaver.
I would like to upload that Dreamweaver website to my website http://www.goahotels.com
How do you change the settings so that whatever I save on Dreamweaver uploads to my server and automatically publishes to the site?
I have entered my server on Dreamweaver, and it tells me it has connected to my server successfully, it just changes the whole design, the style sheet, sprytabbedpanels.js and sprytabbedpanels.css all disappear also nothing had changed in my cpanel. But how can i publish it to my website with everything working?
Can anyone please give me step by step instructions on how I can do this, upload my Dreamweaver site to my own website.

Problem with Adobe Pro and Reader on terminal server

Hi,
We have have a Terminal Server environment with Adobe Pro and Reader. We have security for Adobe Pro, so only certain user has access to Adobe Pro and all users has access to Adobe Reader.
Some users receive many email with pdf's attachments in Outlook and need to print these attachments. They use the Outlook function to print email and attachment automatically. The users who has access to Adobe Pro can print attachment automatically with no problem.
The problem is user who only have access to Adobe Reader. The user can't print attachment automatically with the email, only the email is printed. But, they can open attachment and print with Adobe Reader. But, it's impossible to open each attachment because there are so many.

So if I understand correctly,
1. You have installed Acrobat Pro & Reader on a Terminal server.
2. You have created a security group in your Active Directory Users & Computers for users having access to Acrobat
3. You have set permissions on C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe and C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrotray.exe on the terminal server and provided access only to the security group created above.
4. Users are accessing the Terminal server through RDWeb or connecting remotely through MSTSC (RDP) or using a .RDP file
5. Users get emails with PDF attachments and print the mail directly without opening the PDF in Reader.
Users check the box to print the attachments with the mail (see snapshot below):
Some questions:
1. What is the OS and platform (x86 or x64) of the terminal server?
2. What are the versions of Acrobat & Reader on the terminal server?

Repeatedly (daily)when trying to install update is not connecting to server

every time i restart my computer and connect to firefox, it "strongly recommends " that I install the latest update which I click ok to. When it tries to do it, it keeps running in the background with a screen and across the top it says connecting to server but it never does. I am having no other computer problems so I have no idea why this is happening. It has permission and it would keep spinning a little blue circle for hours without ever saying it cannot connect but it obviously can't. how can i either stop this or actually update. It is very annoying. I have tried to update manually and I get the same result. Thanks, Clair47

I understand that you are trying to perform an update on your iMac and are prompted to enter your administrator password. When you enter your password; however, it is not accepted. In this case, you may want to consider changing your password for that user account. To complete this process, please refer to the attached article.

Trying to access emails,message reads,connection to server failed.

trying to retrieve emails I get a message saying connection
to server failed,have tried resetting and deleting and reinstalling but still get same message.

Okay, I found the answer. I had hacked the domain.xml for this some time ago (this task has been off and on a lot) and forgotten.
I found the tsom_oes reference in there and removed it. Now it deploys.
Hopefully this helps someone else some day... probably not though, eh?

Does cq5 provide integration with adobe dreamweaver

I would like to know if CQ5 provides any kind of integration with Dreamweaver so that all the content that is created by web-dev team using dreamweaver can directly be imported in Cq5.

Tried with adobe AND foxit, firefox still wont display PDF

The plugins are up to date. With acrobat, I get a white screen and the activity monitor shows: done
With foxit, it worked once. The second time (same day) whenever I clic on a PDF type webpage, it becomes black and shows: done.

Adobe Dreamweaver won't Connect or allow me to "Get" files?

I have used Dreamweaver before, so I know kinda what I'm doing. However, I just started using the newest version of Dreamweaver... so I'm a little back to square one.
I think the problem is how I have my FTP set up. Which boxes should be checked if I want to be able to get AND put files to my website? (Passive FTP, etc.) It only lets me change my website from the remote file and then I have to close out of the site I have up so that it puts it on its own when it is saving. Does that make sense? Help, this is a pain! It won't allow me to upload new pictures to my server either!

set up email at store, everything was fine. then clicked mail and says "cannot connect to server", yet I can use safari, etc. deleted and re-added the email account

that mean your email server is having problems or unavailable at the moment. Contact them.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and Mavericks

Hi everyone,
I have recently upgraded to Mavericks on my Mac, however I am now experiencing seriously problems with Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. The program is running shockingly slow. It takes literally 10 minutes to open the program, whereas before the upgrade it took less an 1 minute! clicking any menu options or even a site element, or typing text takes ages to respond.
I posted in Adobe forums, and one answer was to disable Nap App, but it is already checked as disabled (grey out too), Adobe respoded directly by suggesting clearing the program cashe and preferences.
Other forums I have seen with similar problems suggest it is a Java issue. Dreamweaver requires Java SE6, I had Java 7JRE, and & JDK, which I uninstalled, and then re-installed Java 6, through a link to an Apple which downloaded a file (JavaForOSX2013-05), although I tried confirming that I was now running Java SE6 though Terminal and go the following message back:

I am not sure what's the resolution to your problem. I don't want to install Java 6SE in Mavericks either because it's an old software; however, I have not been able to launch any apps in CS3 or CS5. Sooner or later, I'll have to surrender if I want to use any of those software.

Trying PhoneGap in Dreamweaver CS5.5

I liked the developer experience in Dreamweaver itself, especially with the jQuery Mobile widgets. I ran into a couple of issues though and would be interested in any insights:
1. Performance of PhoneGap/jQuery mobile apps seems poor on the Android Desire and iPhone 4 devices I tried. Are there any tips for improving the perforamnce of the UI?
2. It seems tricky to deploy to anything other then the emulator, especially on iPhone. I resorted to importing the project into Xcode. Am I missing something here?

Hi Denis, Sorry for not replying sooner. I actually managed to create a multilingual site. (See also my other post on http://forums.adobe.com/message/4873218#4873218 and the replies I've received)
I have created an English subfolder where the English site resides. If you want to reuse content, images or video's you have to "point to" the directories where these documents are stored.
First I made a duplicate of the Dutch Adobe Muse file and altered the text content to English. Then I exported the English site on my local hard drive.
Forms are another matter. If you use Adobe Business Catalyst (ABC) they are compiled when you publish you site within Adobe Muse. In my case the English version didn't work. I created a blank form online in ABC with the forms module. Copied the html-code and added with Adobe Dreamweaver CSS-styles. The form (all the html codes and the CSS codes) I copied as an html element in Adobe Muse.
In Adobe Dreamweaver or any HTML-editor I opened the html-pages by changing the codes that points to the directories images, assets, stylesheets and scripts.
I.e: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/site_global.css?259224851"/> had to be changed in <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../css/site_global.css?259224851"/> where the ../ "tells" that in the above directory /css the document can be found.
this works the same with images and other documents.
I.e: <img id="u8668_img" src="images/apartement.jpg" had to be changed in <img id="u8668_img" src="../images/apartement.jpg"
For a small site the above procedure works fine but if you have a large site I think it's better using Adobe Dreamweaver or any other html-editor.
