CS6 and EDGE : the SUITE question

Alright, sorry I posted a quesiton this morning and found the answer, i have to have CS6 to use lateste Edge Animate.
What bugs me is that here it says (document created in May but updated lately it seems)

Do you confirm ?
If taht is, it's really painful, we can't afford it fdor now...
We sold a project with previous version made under CS5.5 and Edge Preview (we could use Egde stuff by then) so we're a little bit trapped.
Do you confirm it takes a paying suite to be able to use EDGE ANIMATE in CS6 ?
If we pay for the CCM soon (we think about it) will we have to pay both then ? CCM and the PROFESSIONAL EDITION ?

You are wanting to use both Edge Animate and Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) together?
I would ask about using both together in the DPS forum here http://forums.adobe.com/community/dps. They will also know if DPS:Single Edition (which is less expensive than the Professional or Enterprise versions) will work for you.

If you have CC you get Edge and you are free to use it any DPS work you do, including Single Edition.

this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem?

My children received a message from i'Tunes saying you have to answer some of the security questions. Strange? She was using the same I'Pod .. She answered the questions whitout talking to me.... I after recevied an e-mail saying my birthdate and security questions have been change.

Qmaster and Compressor - the big questions....

I have a G5 and a newish G4 laptop. I've looked up and down this discussion, but still have these basic questions:
1. Can both computers work from one source file and create one compressed file, together, without splitting the result into segments? (eg. take 1 hour long DVCPRO HD quicktime and encode it into one h.264 quicktime movie that i can send to a client)
2. Why in compressor under the clusters pull down menu do i only see "this computer" and not the quick cluster i attempted to create in system preferences (on my g5 i selected Quick Cluster with services (including unmanged servces from other computers, and on my laptop i selected sevices only). Also in Q administrator, i see both computers in the service browser but the actual service types when i twril down each computer are greyed out...

The solution for you is to make the services you want to use "managed" on each computer. Then create a new cluster in Qadmin. You will then see the processors un-greyed and you will be able to drag them into the new cluster you created. Be sure you have set up one computer as a cluster controller with services.

Loading os 8.3 has locked up my air pad 2. It recycles back to a setup prompt and after the setup questions are answered the screen goes black. Can anyone help?

ccan't use air pad 2. It will not do anything but ask setup prompts after trying to update to 8.3. Stuck in some kind of a loop. A hard reset does not work

Bridge isn't the problem, it'll work fine.
But an individual application that is part of a suite can not be upgraded individually. You have to upgrade the whole suite. If you buy a Photoshop CS6 upgrade from Photoshop CS5, it simply won't work. The serial number will not be accepted.

Flash CS6 and Flash Pro CC questions

I have the Adobe Creative Suite CS6, I just seen that Flash has a new version "Flash Pro CC" I need to know the following.
WIll Flash Pro be available on its own? Or is there a CS7 Creative Suite coming?
Main differences in Flash Pro CC and Adobe Edge Animate?
I do not see any of this info available as my business seems to be pointing to more app creation and HTML5 animation in the future. Adobe Edge is a good tool but there is no tool that can stand beside Flash when it comes to animating and I would hope that in some way shape or form, masks and some other features which were avaialble ONLY in Flash are now somehow integrated in Flash Pro?

This is a very good point as anyone who knows Flash would agree that it would be a godsend if Flash Pro CC would allow the user to create Flash based animations and then export to HTML5 while preserving the tools in Flash like masking which is not available in Edge. Having worked in Edge plenty of times it still requires alot of coding when you are doing button states and the overall nightmare of audio not being totally perfected to work in HTML 5 without 3rd party javascript libraries makes it difficult.
So, Flash Pro CC is ONLY available in Creative Cloud for a subscription, correct?
I have the new Lynda.com overview of Flash Pro CC and will have a look but in the meantime you are a Flash god and have helped me numerous times, many thanks !!!!

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

For your account's password you might be able to get it reset via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
You can't delete an account, and all content that you had downloaded with it will remain tied to it.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page should let you reset your qesstions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (if you can't get the password reset via the 'iforgot' link above then you can try contacting Apple via this page)

G4 Won't Boot Up and Shows The Flashing Question Mark Folder Thing

Ok so I bought a Quicksilver G4 from this guy and he said that he took is info off it and now it won't boot up. So I have a Tiger Disk and I tried the to boot from the disk by pushing C down while it was booting and it still goes to that Flashing Question Mark and Folder thing. What should I do? Should I take it in or is there something I can do without taking it in?

Hi! It should boot from the install disc by holding down the "c" key at startup with the disc already inserted as long as it's a retail disc and not one for another model of computer. If it won't boot from a retail install disc then you have hardware problems. Tom

If things seem to be going haywire with your phone, it seems that it MAY be a software issue.
Now, that being said, that does not necessarily mean that it is a virus. Software issues do happen sometimes. It is probably just coincidence.
What you need to do is restore the device using iTunes. This will fix any software issues. After you have done this, you can restore from an iCloud backup.
iCloud does not back up the actual software, so no, the "virus" would not have gotten into the backups.

Don't worry! Everything should be back to normal if you follow these steps.
