CS6 Audition Program installation error?

To who it may concern,
I am having trouble installing the CS6 Audition... As soon as I initialize the software for downlaoding it shows an error sign ??? I need this program installed for school.

"Installer Failed to initialize" is a generic error and we need to figure out what is causing the trouble. Most of the time, its an issue with the download that it was not successful or downloaded properly. So, in such cases, download the software again and make sure to compare the file size of the downloaded file with the file on the server. Lets check that in this case as well and make sure the download is complete.

  • AIR program installation error

    I got a new laptop running on Windows7 64bit and while I installed AIR itself with no problem (or so I think), I can't install any 3rd party AIR applications, even the ones I installed fine in my other laptop which also runs on same OS. Everytime I try, it says something along the line of install file damaged, re-download, blah blah blah. The only difference between the two laptops is that my new one is Korean OS while the other is English OS but I don't see why that would make any difference. I tried two AIR applications, one Korean, one English, and both failed. Here's the log I managed to find following instruction... If anyone could shed some light in this (and in layman's language too), it would be truly appreciated because I am quite desperate for one of the AIR application... and before anyone asks me why I'm not using the one that AIR works on, I can't use that laptop for some other reason at the moment. So please help

    That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
    Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
    Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
    Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

    I discovered the cause of this problem. I had pointed my "My Documents" folder to a NAS drive that I had rather than my C drive. Apparently Photoshop was dependant on it being on the C dirve. When I  repointed this back to my C drive CS5 installed properly.

  • I am unable to successfully download updates for Encore or any other CS6 related programs. I get an error code

    Whenever I am prompted that there are updates available for downloading for any of the CS6 related programs including Encore, I get the following message.

    For CS6, the page I linked has this to explore install logs:

    Many of the updates you see are for associated elements that may not be needed (e..g. camera raw files).
    For Encore, on PC, the latest version is 6.0.2. On Mac, 6.0.1. If you have that version, you do not need to update.

    I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 on my new Mac.
    After 2% have been installed, I get the error message "CS6 installation error, inconsistency in the installer database."
    The error summary file shows exit code 15 and 0 fatal errors/errors/warnings.
    I have seen other threads in this forum with the same error and I have tried the suggestions made there but so far, no luck.
    My Photoshop CS6 is a downloaded version from the Adobe webpage. Everything works well until the actual installation starts.
    These are the actions I have tried:
    1. Restart and reinstall
    2. Adobe cleaner tool (no result since there was nothing to clean)
    3. I have deactivated the software from my old computer
    4. Tried to install in safe mode
    5. I have been in touch with Adobe support, did not get much support at all. After some time I was told to start a discussion in this forum.

    I downloaded the latest version of the Adobe Application Manager. But for some reason, when I start the application, the Creative Cloud application starts... I don't know what I am doing wrong in this step. I do not use creative cloud and Photoshop CS6 is not available for installation there, only Photoshop CC.
    How do I install the software through Adobe Application Manager and not the installer that was provided with the download of Photoshop CS6?

  • Why are programs released with so many bugs? Photoshop & Premiere Elements 12 installation errors

    Microsoft windows 8 was buggy, but win 8.1 has even more program bugs. I cannot install either Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 or Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I get various errors - eg invalid serial number (when it isn't), general unspecified installation errors, roll back problems, 9 times I've uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted. The Adobe Trouble-shooter does not help eg delete the swf file etc.
    Why do you release programs with so many bugs?

    A few days ago I bought the Photoshop elements 12 and with the help of the customer service chat I finally  register and received the serial number, but  accidentally closed the chat before obtain the link to download it. I 've tried in different ways with not results. Can anyone please help me  to download and setup the software that I purchased? I'm new around here and have found it very difficult this new system, I think it was better when the program was purchased on disk and only the installation steps were followed, Sorry my insistence but took a few days on this and start to get frustrated by not receiving any response from the customer service and finally referred me to this forum.   • Get installer error on CS6 upgrade

    With CS5.5 when trying to install the upgrade to 6 it tells me there is an installer error and I should uninstall 5.5 then use cleaner. Can I just put on CS6 upgrade instead?

    YEs, you do not need to have CS5.5 installed to install CS6.  You only need to have the serial number from CS5.5 so that you can confirm the upgrade requirement is met.

    When I installed Photoshop CS6, I got 14 errors numbers in subject line. Does anyone know what these are and how to resolve them?
    Also, should I have uninstalled CS5 before installing CS6? Is it okay to uninstall CS5 now?

    CS 5.5 was already installed and functioning fine, then upgraded from OS 10.6 to 10.7. Noticed issues with elements not appearing in DISPLAY VIEW of Dreamweaver, but was correct in CODE VIEW and BROWSER PREVIEW.
    Tried to reinstall and uninstall Dreamweaver 5.5 several times using the CS 5.5 installation disk. Consistently got DF024 errors. NOTE: After first attempt. installer marked Dreamweaver as already installed, but not the others. Using the Finder, the Dreamweaver directory appears to be empty unless the files are now hidden. Nothing regarding the application can be seen in the Trash. Also unable to launch any other Adobe CS apps.

    SLConfig.xml appeared to be an alias pointing to a file of the same name in the Mac version. Went to original file, made a new alias and replaced the corrupted file.
    Then rebooted system and relaunched CSS5.5 Installer with all apps selected. Program started and ran for about 15 min before reporting more errors, now with error DF037 as well. Did this again with the same results except the DF037 error did not reappear. It appears the the problems are mostly in two directories:
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles/
    and
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ssc/DesignSuitePremium-CS5.5-Win-GM/
    but I am not sure how to best resolve this.

    Thank you for your reply.
    Since my initial posting here, I've attempted a few more installations. Each time a file from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ssc/ would appear with the same error DF024, and it was always an alias. So each time I would replace the old alias with a new manually created alias pointing to the same original as the old alias. Sure enough, when I relaunched the installer,  error DF024 with the old alias no longer appeared, but a new error DF042 with another alias from the same directory did appear. Then I manually replaced  all aliases found in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ssc/ directory with new ones I created.
    Upon rebooting and relaunching the installer program, the program did not stop at around 12% as consistently it did up until now. Instead, it progressed to 80% before it stopped and reported a huge number of new errors. Most of them pertain to the inability to roll back the installation it had attempted. No files from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ssc/ appeared in the new log report.
    To gain a better understanding of the logs, I downloaded AdobeSupportAdvisor and tried using it, but it referred me to online solutions that weren't relevant to my situation (i.e., one mentions Photoshop CS4 and I've never installed CS4).
    I also tried following the articles from the Adobe knowledgebase:
    cspid_84451: Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6
    which is fine if you only have a few errors, and
    cspid_83481: Installation, launch log errors | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CCM
    which doesn't list error DF024.
    At this point I've decided to not not make anymore attempts without some expert guidance.
    The log file seem too large to post here. If you would like review the log, I can perhaps post it on www.pastebin.com unless you can suggest a better way. Please let me know.
