CS6 blank "panes" in display

When I open an image, sometimes one or more of the "panes" or "panels" does not display, i.e. there is the blank checkered screen in that section of the image. If I zoom in or out, all the image will display, until I get back to that magnification and again there are one or more blank spaces. If I close and re-open the image, it usually, but not always, displays fine. Sometimes I need to close and open twice. I would say this has happened about one out of ten times I opened an image so far in the two days I have been using the program.
My first thought was to update my video display driver, but I already have the latest one (using Nvidia Geforce GT220). I assume this is a small glitch or bug. Has anyone else seen this behavior, and can someone tell me how to report it to Adobe?

That pretty much proves it's a display driver issue.
Watch for updates from your video card maker.
For what it's worth I've never been able to sense a difference in performance between Advanced and Normal modes myself. Plus it seems likely Normal mode has had more testing.

Trouble in (Flash Help),
1. When we invoke Flash Help with respective topic ID, it will not show requested topic page along with TOC, it will show default topic/page, which we set at the time creating help. Also it will display "Allow Blocked Content" button at the bottom. If we click on "Allow Blocked Content" it will display the above requested topic page correctly, but without TOC pane. This time we can see 'Show' button(link) on the browser. If we click on 'Show', blank page get displayed.
2. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic and it won't show me the TOC along with current selected topic page.
3. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic with 'Show' link. When we click on 'Show' link, blank page get display.
4. Tool gives us facitlity to publish the Flash help, where we can choose the folder. This means that it publishes folder structure. We are using this folder structure (the published one) and on the top of that we are not getting expected(blank page get display) result.
5. Published content does not contain any mapid/mapfile, if so whow it works correctly with RH development studio.
6. Skin we were using 'beautiful_vista_flash.fhs'
7. We build RH after setting Mozilla as the statup browser. We tried with Mozilla and IE but still our application opens help in IE. So not able to test in Mozilla.
Please assist to resolve it.

You can believe what you like, but it won't change the truth.
CS6 is a Cocoa application, and Retina support requires Carbon (or the other way around, I'm a Windows user). It's not a matter of adding a few lines of code to make the change, it required rewriting the entire program from the ground up.

Oracle Forms from 6i to 10g -only blank screen is displaying after deployme

I have converted oracle Forms from 6i to 10g (almost 10 forms). In the development environment all 10 forms are working fine without any problems. I have deployed the forms in the server. Now all the forms are working fine except one form. Only blank screen is displaying in this case. What could be the reason? How to resolve this issue? This form is also working fine in the development environment.

some possibilities:
1. check the java console of the plugin you use (Jinitiator, Sun-plugin) and see if there are any errors reported.
2. Do a full recompile of the form (ctrl+Shift+K, at least in german version)
3. Maybe a navigation problem (seems unlikely for it works in dev-environment, but give it a try):
Create a new block, put a navigable textitem in it and show that textitem on your canvas, but that block as first navigatin block in the form-properties.
4. Check other Pre-triggers(Pre-block, pre-textitem) if they are executed and may fail.

Blank adobe form displayed in web dynpro application

Hi,
I have created an Interactive Adobe form using web dynpro Java. When I run the form (in IE), a blank page is displayed.
If I keep the Adobe reader open and run the form on IE, the form is opened in reader and it's working.
When I access the same form on a different system, there is no problem.
Does this have anything to do with the IE settings or Adobe Reader version/ updates.
I have checked the adobe reader version and it's the same on both the systems.
Version:
Adobe Reader Version : 8.1.2.

Not sure what the problem could be, here are some suggessionsu2026
Check whether you have enabled the option Display PDF in browser in the Adobe Reader.
I should be under: Edit > Preference > Internet
Also, in your Web Dynpro Application, try to set the u201CdisplayTypeu201D property of your Interactive form to ActiveX
Else, just try upgrading your Adobe Reader to latest version!

CS6: Inconsistent Pica Format Display

I almost always work in Picas; and I just started using CS6, so I've just discovered that Illustrator CS6 has an annoying habit of occasionally — not always— deciding to display Pica units incorrectly. The only common factor is that it's always a whole Pica value, and the last whole Pica is displayed in Points. For example, 5.5 inches should be displayed as 33p0; but sometimes — again, not always — Illustrator CS6 will choose to display that as 32p12.
Well, first of all, anything-"p12" is just wrong. It's anything+1"p0," dammit.
Secondly, even if there was some insane rationale for displaying "p12," why is it inconsistent? Why sometimes, but not always?
Does anybody know what's causing this stupidity? And how to fix it?

Webhelp right pane not displaying in IE10 for Windows 7

Hello,
I'm using Robohelp 9 - HTML, and generating Webhelp using IE10 on Windows 7. When I generate the help, the default topic displays. However, if I click any page within a book, the right-pane displays blank. But, if I make the browser window smaller, the content displays in the right-pane. After which, maximizing the browser, the content continues to display in the right-pane, as expected. Any thoughts on why the right-pane content doesn't display initially?

I'm confused by your post number 5. You said that IE10 was opening the right pane, which I read as opening with the content.
The RoboHelp 9 fix was written by a highly respected user who I believe applied the same code.

Diplays preferences pane = "Loading Displays..."

I recently purchased a ViewSonic VA912b LCD as a second monitor. Following the included instructions, I inserted their CD and launched their installation Wizard. I've since been told by VS tech support that in spite of their specific instructions, this was not only unnecessary but may cause problems. Apparently, it caused problems.
Since then, my Displays Preference Pane will not load. I was somehow able to put Displays in the menu bar (though I can no longer remember how I did that) so I can set the resolution properly. However, when I open System Preferences and click on Displays, nothing happens.
Here's what I do followed by info from the Console log:
- OPEN SYSTEM PREFERENCES, CLICK ON DISPLAYS
- RESULT: WINDOW DOES NOT CHANGE, TITLE BAR SAYS "Loading Displays…"
- CONSOLE LOG:

I logged into another account and got the same results. No other preference pane has this problem.
Following other suggestions I've found here, I have deleted the preferencepanes.cache and systempreferences.plist. I also used Pacifist to compare the installation package to that on the disk and everything seemed to be fine.
I'm at a loss of what to do next or what I should be looking for. Any help is appreciated.

When I last spoke with VS tech support, they first claimed the installer would only work with Windows, which was not what I saw. In fact, it actually launched Classic to do its evil deeds (including attempting to install Acrobat 4 of all things). After speaking with a supervisor, they came back and suggested I search for a file called "Standardmonitor_driver_unsigned060214.zip" which I had no luck finding. I hadn't thought to think if there might be another way to find files that are installed; perhaps using a feature of Find or is there a log?
I'm beginning to wonder if this would be a good excuse to finally upgrade to Tiger or if it's something that needs to be resolved first .

How do I make Photoshop CS6 keyframe panning work with many clips?

Hello Photoshop experts:
I am having big troubles with applying keyframe controlled panning in Photoshop CS6. After reading chapter 10 of Photoshop CS6 CIAB, I added a simple cloud animation to my video. The original video/audio track is in Video Group 1. I pasted a simple JPEG graphic of a white cloud in to Video Group 2, without anything else in that group. Following the CIAB directions, I was easily able to make the cloud pan across the top of my video. Ah, this is easy I thought!
Then, I added a second cloud, this time it was black. I added this to Video Group 2, right after the white cloud. Here is where the troubles began..... I would highlight the image frame of the black cloud, move the playback head/cursor to the right end of the black cloud clip, then click on the "Position" clock to install a yellow diamond keyframe marker. At that instant, the selected clip of the black cloud would de-select, and the white cloud clip would select instead. As soon as the white clould was selected, then I couldn't click and drag the black cloud, as that frame was no longer selected. So, I would click the mouse back on the black cloud frame, and try and set the second key frame marker at the beginning of the black cloud frame for where I wanted the black cloud to sit at the start of the pan............ But then no motion would take place as I advanced the cursor across the frame.
So, I started a Video Group 3, and moved the black cloud into that. Then, without problems, I was able to use the key frame markers to control the panning of the black cloud across the frame,,,,,,,,,,, ah, this is easy! But then, I put in a red cloud onto Video Group 3, and guess what? It would not work, the same as before, it only wanted to jump to the black cloud clip as soon as I had set the first key frame marker on the pink cloud.
Note, underneath the first still image clip that I successfully automated the zoom function, there appears a violet shaded area under that clip, going from the starting key frame marker to the ending key frame marker. It seems as though this should be telling me something, as only the working automated panning sections have the light violet highlighting. But I can't move or eliminate that highlighting, or get it to associate with the clip I am trying to work with, after the first instance.
I have about 75 little clips I need to pan and zoom in on, and I am NOT going to make an individual Video Group for each clip! Something is wrong. I have spent about 5 hours banging my head on this today, and about 2 last night......
A) Maybe this is too confusing, but if someone can say what is wrong, I would appreciate any help.
B) Can you recommend an appropriate video (YouTube or other free source) that would shine light on this? The only videos show just one simple segment getting automated panning applied,,,,,,,,,,, my problem does not exist in that simple case.

Classical case of context handler overflow. Delete your file associations in Explorer, thne reinstate them using the Open With... method. also make virus scanners, compression tools and others that may add additional associations and context handlers behave by disabling their all too helpful Explorer integration options where appropriate...

Blank screen after display driver update Satellite Pro P200

I installed the latest ATI Mobility Radeon HD2600 display driver (8.432, from the Toshiba site via Tempo) on my Satellite Pro P200 yesterday. On rebooting everything looks fine as far as the Windows Vista Business "Please wait ..." screen, but instead of displaying the login page I get a blank screen (with a mouse cursor that moves around as normal). All I can do at this point is power off, and I've run out of ideas on how to get any further.
Things I've tried:
# booting into safe mode, low-resolution video or last known good configuration all result in the same blank screen.
# connecting to the system using remote desktop (to disable the driver) isn't possible because the system hasn't loaded the network drivers yet.
# I can't revert to a restore point because Vista can't find any (I made a manual one after installing windows updates on a couple of days ago).
I can run a command prompt from the system recovery options and would prefer to use that to disable the driver +if+ I knew how before resorting to the more drastic options.
A web search (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ati+catalyst+vista+blank+screen&hl=en&sa= N) reveals that this has happened on a wide range of laptops with
previous releases of the driver, but none of the links I've looked at give a solution that's available to me.

No joy with an external screen so I bit the bullet and reinstalled from the product recovery disk. I tried expert mode to retain the data partition but that failed twice, so I had to restore it from the previous day's backup after doing a full reinstall. Two consolations, though.
# It allowed me to increase the size of the data partition.
# The display driver update worked fine on the fresh install.
Needless to say I've since found [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927525] which describes how you can disable a problem device driver (atikmdag in my case) from the system recovery command prompt :-(
Hopefully the instructions in there will help anybody who gets caught with similar problems.

Fieldcontent in field catalog in ALV GRID with leading blanks to be display

Hello,
I want to display the result of a report in an ALV Grid.
There are different columns in the ALV, one of them contains text, sometimes with leading blanks.
The ALV does not display the blanks, cut them and moves the rest to the left.
I have used LVC_S_FCAT-JUST with 'R' but this moves the content of the field only to the right (right justified), so that it looks like there is always a lot of blnks on the left side .
Is there any possibility to display blanks when they appear in the text field?
e.g.
TEXT1 (10)
9991-A
9950-B
9090-T
9675-N
Do´t ask, why there are leading blanks. It is always your customer or manager who determines the results!

WAD: Height of Filter pane not displayed correctly in SPS14

Hi Experts,
I just moved to SPS14 and I noticed on our Web Templates that Filter Pane are reduced in comparison with what I had in SPS10.
For Instance, for an height of 18 I was able to display properly 2 dropdown boxes in Filter pane. Now I am not able to see them unless I increase height.
Is it related to a new function of SPS14?

Where can I find a patch for Indesign and Acrobat cs6 for mac retina display?

I have found the patch for screen resolution for photoshop, but the illustrator patch says it is not compatible and I cannot locate one for in-design (my primary program) or Acrobat. There must be a patch, right? Or else whats the point of it?

The patch is upgrading to InDesign CC, which requires an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Sorry.
There is no Acrobat CS6. The last version is Acrobat XI which was created too late to include support for Retina Display. It will probably be in the next version of Acrobat.
Creating "patches" for Retina Display are much more engineering intensive than you would expect. In the case of InDesign, it had to be completed in the context of moving to becoming a 64 bit application and moving application development from Carbon to Cocoa (a required move on the Mac accomplished finally in InDesign CC).

Photoshop CS6 does not detect display adapter after upgrading to Windows 8

Hi, I just upgraded my 3 year old Dell XPS 16 which came with a AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 5730 (1GB) graphics card to Windows 8 (along with a new SSD hard drive), and reinstalled CS6, and now I get messages that the program is no longer detecting my dedicated graphics card. I updated the drivers from both Dell and AMD, and I get the same result.The Graphics Processor Seting box is greyed out in Preferences, and it says it detected an error in my display driver. Everything was fine with the same graphics card under Windows 7.
I suspect that when Windows 8 was installed it installed a generic AMD driver, and even though I have updated it from Dell and AMD several times, something is not quite right because I can't find the AMD Catalyst Control Center. So it might be a WIndows 8 & AMD issue, but I don't really know for sure.
If anyone has any ideas how to get the graphics driver working properly for CS6 I'd be very happy.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice.
I finally gave up and called Dell (thank god for my 3 year XPS warranty). Screen shared with a techncian who was surprisingly knowledgeable, and even though he tried updating different versions of the driver for about an hour, he finally suceeded when he went through this link on the AMD site, using the driver verification tool:

Then he downloaded the file:

He was finally able to load up Catalyst Control Center and the proper AMD driver. CS6 now sees the graphics adapter.
