CS6 Bridge not opening to PS
Before I installed CS6, I removed CS6 Beta and my copy of CS5 using tools provided by Adobe. When I run Bridge, I notice that for each of the Open With apps shown, they are listed twice.
When I choose a jpeg or raw photo it opens with no problem, but when I open a PNG, I have to choose open with since my Mac will open it in PREVIEW. When I choose open with PS, it loads and opens a second Photoshop even though I have it open already. Any suggestions?
Check to make sure you are opening in the same program as the one open. You said you unistalled CS5, but perhaps it is opening in CS6 32 bit?
Check the file associations in Bridge preferences to see what default program is to open with.

CS6 Bridge not opening after updating...
I installed the latest update for Bridge and now it won't open. I am using Mountain Lion with 16GB of RAM. Photoshop CS6 still seems to be working fine .
I started getting a message at startup about Bridge encountering a problem and needing to purge the cach. I did that. Then for a while Bridge began to slow down dramtically... spiking as much as 500% power.
I went to the forums reading all I could... tried the holding down the option button and purging thingThen nothing...
I totally uninstalled CS6 and re-installed. Again Photshop seems to be fine. Again, can't opne Bridge.
Can't open Bridge on it's own or from Photoshop nor can I use Mini Bridge. I am at a loss and flailing here. I use Bridge hours everyday.
I can of course see that it is a bad access - invalid adress message but have no idea how to correct that.

Not many here can read or understand crash reports I'm afraid.
Still not on Mountain Lion ( got the last MacPro before the first that supports M.Lion and eager waiting for the new MacPro to come next year)
However try this:
Quit Bridge and go to your user library (if you don't see your user library in your home - user - account do a Google search for how to reveal your hidden user library)
Then from user (your name) / library/preferences find and delete manually the plist file for Bridge (com.adobe.bridge5.plist) by dragging it to the trash. You can forget about the duplicate with .lockfile, just leave it there.
Then in the same library go to the folder Caches / Adobe/ Bridge CS6 and inhere find both the cache file and plug in. Also drag these two files to the trash. (all those files recreate themselves with fresh, new and empty folders for cache after restarting Bridge)
Hold down option key while restarting bridge and choose reset preferences and try again.
Mind you, when deleting the Cache file manual all your previous cache data will be gone but that would also be the case if the ability with option button would work.
So first you have to recache your files again for thumbnails and HQ previews. This will take some time depending on amount and filesize but you can do so overnight if you have a lot to cache, otherwise it is just a small delay. -

Adobe Bridge CS6 will not open
Just started trial of Adobe Photoshop CC ( CS6 and Bridge CS 6)
Photoshop downloaded ok but Bridge CS6 will not open after installation.
I have used Adobe Bridge with CS2 before but since removing CS2 and installing CS6 and Adobe Bridge 6 64Bit Adobe Bridge will not open.

watchet7CS2 seems to conflict with CS6. One user found this to work. AppData is a hidden folder in case you try this.
I finally got it to launch via instructions from another web page. In my case, I am running Win 7 Professional 64-bit and previously loaded Photoshop and Bridge versions CS2 (along with Illustrator and InDesign CS2), which might have been part of the problem. The solution for me was to create an empty "Bridge CS2" folder in the C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\. Worked like a charm.
You might have to use the Adobe Script Cleaner to get rid of traces of the CR2 files. -
Photoshop CS6 will not open any graphics files
Photoshop cs6 will not open graphic files, i have reset the settings. I get to see all the files in preview but when I try to open a file nothing happens, no error messages, no file opens, nothing.
When I use bridge I try to open the file with open in photoshop cs6 but again nothing happens. I found that if I reboot my PC photoshop will work correctly until I shut photoshop down but if I reopen it later before rebooting my pc now graphics files will open.Hi Sorry, getting my 2 machines confused. Photoshop works perfectly on the Mac, it is the PC with problem.

Photoshop CS6 will not open files
Right after rebooting my computer (Windows 7 Pro) I can open one photo file in CS6 using any normal method of opening a file in Photoshop. After closing that file I cannot open any more files using any method such as>Open Recent, File>Open, or right click open using Photoshop, by selecting the file, double-clicking to open it etc. I also cannot open a file in photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 5 using Photo>Edit In> Photoshop CS6. Everything works in Lightroom when I use Photo>Edit>open in CS6 Photoshop opens but the file doesn't.
If I reboot my computer I can then open one file using any of those methods, but when I try to open an additional file it will not open. I have run through all the opening Photoshop without plugins suggestions and all the other suggestions about what may cause this problem which I have found on Photoshop Help and Support Center and nothing has worked.
This started while Lightroom 4.4 and CS6 were on my machine and had been working well for months. Then, suddenly, I couldn't open anything in Photoshop. I know of no changes made to the computer. After trying various suggested solutions I reinstalled Photoshop CS6 and things seemed to be working so I went ahead with updating to Lightroom 5. The same problem popped up in CS6 again. Lightroom 5 and Lightroom 4.4 have both worked with no problems and still do. Photoshop seems to be the problem. I've also run an antivirus which found nothing.

I finally got CS6 to work but have no idea what I did that caused it to start working properly again. -
Indesign CS6 simply not opening in any way on Windows 7.
Indesgn CS6 has not opened since my Windows 7 PC has been re-formatted a few weeks ago. I have installed all recent updates and it won't open from either short-cuts or through explorer. Any suggestions?
Do you mean the applciation itself, or files? What happens when you try?

Also when I click on More Info... button I I get support.apple.com website page, which is blank. When I click on the OK button, same result.

Extended CS6 trial Bug ends..and now CS6 does not open
Another brilliant move by adobe. First they suggest they inadvertently included a bug that required one to manually decline the extended version every time CS6 is open;now the "trial" ends and CS6 does not open. Is this what we expect from adobe? Maybe so, I guess.
There actually is a way to update Photoshop without running it.

Of course, these links don't help Creative Cloud users at all. I guess they're expected to use the Application Manager.

Hi, please help with my issue which is as follows:
A file which was created and saved using Adobe Photoshop CS6 is not opening anymore and sends a message saying that the file is not compatible.
What should I do, I have invested so much in that file and I dont think i will be able to do it all over again.That's why people do incremental saves and use backups... You could try to open the file in an image viewer like IrfanView and see which parts are salvagable, but that's as good as it gets most likely...
