CS6 - Brush bug - randomly draws straight lines when sketching

Hey everyone,
I noticed this bug that occurs when I use the brush tool. Whenever I'm sketching in a small region, it randomly draws a straight line, as if I never lifted my pen. It's like when you hold the shift key to make a straight line, except I'm not holding the shift key. However, this only happens if I'm drawing semi-closely and/or if I'm drawing semi-fast (not that fast though. The lines will connect even though I lifted my pen. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I updated my video card and tablet to its latest drivers but it hasn't fixed the issue.
Specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
Wacom intuos5 tablet
Nvidia GT 520 Graphics card
Photoshop CS6
Any help would be appreciated.

The brush loses response and does little short straight lines here and there, it's a software glitch. I usually save my document when that happens, this usually snaps it out of it but a few times I had to wait then save again. I used to be able to just swap apps or click on layers or something but that doesn't work anymore.

I had the same promlem with CS4 trial, with my old Manhattan tablet and with my new Intuo's. I think it's a bug that comes in from time to time with panel, window focus changes. Or Id get up to fetch a cup of coffee and when I come back it's like that.

Drawing Straight Line angled path with no wavy distortion when scaled

Hi,
I'm a beginner using AI CS5.5, and trying to add straight lines to a drawing, using the line tool. They are angled about 30 degrees from horizontal, parallel to each other. Used 2pt and color for lines. Everything looks great in AI. When I export the drawing to PNG for insertion as an illustration into InDesign and scale down (45%) the drawing to fit the InDesign page, the once perfectly smooth and straight lines are wavy, almost zigzaggy, slightly distorted. Not a good result.
Is there a better way to draw straight lines that are on an angle in the drawing so that they are perfectly smooth, and when scaled retain their smooth straight look?
Any help appreciated.

Thank you for this suggestion. I just tried this, placing the AI file directly into InDesign, but unfortunately, this looked even worse. The straight lines were even more jagged.
In Illustrator, these same lines are perfectly straight and smooth. Not sure why it's so challenging to get them to stay straight and smooth after placing the drawing?
Any suggestions?

I can't draw straight lines for fill-in-the-blank on my tests and worksheets. The "draw it yourself choice makes big fat lines and takes a lot of manipulation. Do I have to draw them myself with a pen and a ruler?

I can't draw straight lines for fill-in-the-blank on tests and worksheets. The draw-it-yourself ooption gives me thick lines and is time-consuming. So, after all these years, do I have to go back to using a ruler and a pen?

In Pages v5.0.1, the straight lines are already drawn for you in the Shape Tool. Before we go there, select Menu > View > Show Ruler.
When you click on Shape in the Pages toolbar, the top left line is straight. Click it. It will drop into your document in a 45 degree angle. Grab the lower left selection grip and drag it up and to the right to position the horizontal line in the length of your choice. Use the Format: Style tab to manage the stroke weight. You can also choose Menu > Edit > Duplicate Selection (command+D) as a productivity tool.
If you move from the Format: Style tab to the Arrange tab, you can compare the start and end points with where you want the line positioned on the ruler. Once you have it positioned, notice the Lock button, also on the Format: Arrange tab.

Drawing straight lines

Hi,
in my programm I need to draw straight lines(I hope this is the correct translation for an infinit line). Is there a way of doing this?

I just answered my own question.
I checked Illustrator Preferences and under GENERAL: CONSTRAIN ANGLE, mine was set to 0.19 degrees (for reasons unknown).
I changed it to zero and Voila! Who'd have thought this would alter the whole drawing surface?
All I had to do was ask others in order to figure it out myself! Hope this helps anybody else having this bizarre problem.

Photoshop CS5 brush randomly becomes straight lines

Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with my student edition version of photoshop CS5. For some unknown reason the brush tool randomly stops drawing lines that I command it to do (using my tablet pen) and will correct itself when I open another program (any program). Instead of drawing a curve, it will just draw a straight line and half the time not even for very far. I cant figure out for the life of me what is causing this problem. My laptop isnt on stickykeys or anything like that and I am running windows 7 64 bit with 8 gig of ram..

Drawing small, short curves in Photoshop draws straight line between start and end points

I recently installed Windows 8 Professional, Photoshop and the latest Wacom Bamboo tablet drivers and have been experiencing this issue. I've turned off windows flicks and ink. This only happens in Photoshop with the brush tool and I can't seem to find a setting that this corresponds to.
Basically, when I draw small, short curves (particularly letters like 'c' and 'h'), when I lift up my pen, Photoshop automatically connects the end and start points together with a straight line ('c' almost becomes 'o' or 'a'). I'm not holding the shift or any modifier keys. I've tried googling this issue, but I have no idea how to phrase it properly to get any results.
Here's an image of what I'm talking about (the top was drawn with the pencil tool, the bottom with the brush tool which demonstrates the issue. I've highlighted the start and end points with red dots):

Illustrator drawing straight lines crooked

All straight lines in Illustrator appear crooked on my screen. This is hard to explain. I've been using AI since 1991 and have never seen this problem, which started happening out of the blue a few months ago, even though I have not changed anything on my system or setup. This problem doesn't happen in any other programs, including InDesign.
Examples:
Use the box tool to draw a box. The lines should be straight, but they are crooked. You know when you use the pen tool and draw a line without holding the Shift key, and the line is jagged where it isn't straight? Well, that's what my lines look like when they are supposed to be straight, like from a box.
The lines are also crooked when I draw with the pen tool using the Shift key to constrain.
Even the document frame is crooked. I took a screen shot of an example. Please see it at this link:

My pen tool won't draw straight lines

When I click the pen tool the cursor shows the pen tool with the "x". When I click to create the first point nothing happens. If I click and drag it will create a point, but I don't want curves. I want a straight line.
Anyone else have this problem?
I'm on OSX Yosemite 10.10.3

The problem was Google Chrome browser! As soon as I quit Chrome my pen tool started working again. I didn't even need to restart Fireworks. I wonder if it is a conflict with one of my plugins/add ons. Most likely.
UPDATE - I did narrow it down to one specific Google Chrome extension. It was "Google Play Music"

Im tryin to develop a page where people can practice writing foreign characters using a mouse, I can currently only get straight lines from my code and was wondering what i would have to do for my lines to follow the movements of the user? As this would be more helpful!
(is it some sort of FOR loop with a repaint() method occuring at a regular interval??)

was wondering what i would have to do for my lines to follow the movements of the userKeep track of the mouse x and y coordinates starting with mousePressed, continuing with every detected mouseMoved and terminating on mouseReleased. As a new set of coordinates is formed, redraw and repaint!

Draw straight lines, locked at each end?

I've got a wiring diagram that I want to add connections to, see above. I've tried using the Line Segment Tool, and the Pen; these produce the red and black lines connecting the square box at the top to the table below. However, I want to move their position slightly, but keep the ends locked to the side of the object they meet. I've got about 100 to draw, and it's very tedious having to re-draw each line to try to get it right.
Any suggestions?

You may Direct Selet the box(es) to move by ClickDragging, thereby also selecting the end Anchor Point(s), then move them together.

Adobe CS3 Web Premium does include Fireworks and you also get

access the Fireworks CS4 beta, which has a bundle of new and

features. I think it's the Design Premium that does not
include Fireworks
but you do get InDesign in it's place I believe, but do check
with Adobe.

have recreated
the image, 'the top section' is I think it would have been
easier and better
to get rid of the '$50 off image' altogether, then simply
redraw the yellow
section. One large new yellow section against two black and
one small yellow
sections. Nothing in it really, but if you look really
closely, and probably
only because I know it's there, there is a very slight
fuzziness on the
yellow section where we hid the red. But I am being very
picky :-)

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

When im in photoshop drawing and i stop it starts drawing striaght lines

okay, When I go into photoshop to draw ill be drawing and then stop to do something like change the color, the size of the brush, what kind of brush, ect. and go back to drawing it doesn't free draw it just draws straight lines. I have another program where I edit videos and it lets me draw on there too but it doesn't do what photoshop does. Flash CC 2014 Drawing with tablet creates straight lines

I recently downloaded Flash and Photoshop from the free student service and when I use my tablet Intuos4, the lines you see are drawn but it's also draws in the far left, the start of the straight line is where I actually start but for some reason it draws a straight line shifting to the left.
I checked if it was my shift key from the keyboard and tablet to see if it was jammed, but on the bottom half of the canvas you notice that when I do use my shift key it still draws straight lines and still goes to the far left.
I updated my drivers for my tablet and it still didn't do anything, it doesn't happen to any other program like Photoshop, it detects the tablet and draws normally.
Help please?

Hi.
I am experiencing some serious issues with flash professional cc and my drawing tablet. Every time I place my drawing pen on the surface of my tablet, while in flash professional cc, a long straight line darting to the left and beyond my canvas occurs. I haven't messed with any of my settings for I just got the tablet today as well as the flash professional cc program. It's very frustrating and is hindering my work. If this problem is not resolved, I will take my business and money elsewhere.
