CS6: change zoom view quickly?

Hi,
is there a more quickly way to change the visible area instead of dragging this slider?
e.g. in InDesign, Photoshop & Co. you can do this by holding the blank key and -- dependent on the settings -- via the mouse wheel. But there are no such a possibility or such a setting in audition, or?
Thanks!

You don't need to hold anything at all - the mouse wheel zooms in Waveform view, regardless. If yours doesn't, something's wrong with it. In Edit>Preferences>General there's a setting you can change which alters the zooming behaviour when the mouse is held over the timeline, and that's self-explanatory. But other than that, zoom works all the time in Waveform view.
It's slightly different in Multitrack, though - direct zooming results in the visible tracks moving up and down in their window. To zoom in similarly to Waveform view, you have to hold the Ctrl key down. Yeah, I know that's slightly weird, but it's been like that forever.

  • How can I batch change the view options of multiple playlists?

    I would like to select multiple playlists and batch change their view options; seems like an obvious feature that should be there, but it does not seem to be there. I know of Assimilate View Options v2.2 in Doug's AppleScripts, but this is not what I want, since AWO requires you to do the change playlist by playlist, i.e., not in batch mode (and I have hundreds of playlists ...). Any idea? Please answer privately at [email protected] since I do not read this forum regularly. Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Can you change the view of album covers when playing music on Apple TV?

    I love the coverflow view when playing tracks on my mac. Its what I always wanted to be able to see the album cover as large as the screen while the song plays.
    However on Apple Tv its "not quite" the same!
    I feel that the text is too big (taking up half the screen) and although the album cover takes up the other half, the text and album cover keep switching sides of the screen every 10 seconds or so which i find a little annoying! Does anyone else find this annoying or just me?
    Of course I love my mac and apple TV however i cant find a way to change this view when music is playing. I would like coverflow on apple Tv just like on mac. A full screen showing the album cover, with smaller text to show artist and track and not to switch sides of the screen!
    Does anyone know what im banging on about and can you help!

    Oh dear! but thank you for a quick reply and your kind welcome!
    I thought the side to side motion would be to protect the screen somehow but i dont really like it!
    Not at all relaxing when playing a soothing song to see the graphics flipping back and forth.
    Its great technology, amazing, but could this viewing option be changed somehow by the wizards at apple.
    I might need to hit the off button on Tv and just listen on speakers otherwise.

  • How can I reset the DEFAULT zoom view in Firefox at 125%, like IE, so I don't have to reset it every time ?

    How can I reset the DEFAULT zoom view in Firefox at 125%, like IE, so I don't have to reset it every time ?
    I have seen this question asked previously and it seems there is no answer.
    I know that one can change each individual web page (that reset defaults back to 100%) and, alternatively and apparently one can load an add-on to fix the default size at Full Zoom.
    ... But any hints on how to achieve a DEFAULT 125% zoom would be much appreciated.

    Press CTRL + 0
    Have you tried Firefox's zoom feature? Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages
    You can "zoom" all sites using this add-on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]. After setting your global zoom level, you can still fine-tune the zoom on individual sites.
    After installing NoSquint, click the % on the Add-on Bar to call up site preferences, then click the Global Settings button, then the Zooming tab.
    If you don't have the Add-on Bar displayed, you can right-click the new tab button ("+") or a blank area of the tab bar to the right of it and choose Add-on Bar from the shortcut menu.
    You can experiment with sizes larger than 125%, but I wouldn't go much higher than 150% unless you have a large high-resolution monitor.
    If there are particular sites that still present a problem, feel free to post their URLs.
    You can find more information about the zoom features Firefox offers in these articles:
    [[Text zoom]] - For zooming text only
    [[Page zoom]] - For zooming the whole page (including images etc.)

  • How to Change the View

    View will not reset to "actual size"; suggestions?

    When opening a PDF document it is zoomed at 173%, which is "Fit Width". I want them to open at 100% or Actual Size.  Every time I open a PDF I have to click on View, then Zoom, then click Actual Size. I have gone to Adobe Acrobat Professional and clicked on Edit, then Preferences, then under Default Layout & Zoom and changed from "automatic" to 100%, hit OK -- but nothing changed, even after a reboot, which is sometimes needed to hold changes. I work with PDFs quite a bit & it's just frustrating to have to keep changing the view. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

  • "Zoom" view in Numbers

    "Zoom" view in Numbers in set to 100% by default. I frequently need to zoom out to see the entire sheet but I'm unable to select a percentage between what Numbers has in the dialog box. In Excel I can actually type in an amount of zoom. Is there a way to do that in Numbers 09?

    The original question was already responded:
    As far as I know, the response is no.
    The feature is unavailable.
    The only thing which I may do is to change the default value to a non_standard value which will remain available.
    It's easy to do.
    It just require a brute force operation on the Index.xml file in a standard Numbers document.
    Changing this setting in a template is waste of time. The code creating a document from a template filters the zoom factor allowing only predefined values.
    Create a new document named xxxx.numbers
    If Numbers '09 is ste to create flat files, rename xxxx.numbers as xxxx.zip then double click it.
    You will get the folder xxxx.
    Open it.
    Open the file entitled Index.xml
    Search for the string:
    "{sf:LSWorkspaceCanvasScaleProperty}"
    CAUTION: in this message I use accolades "{}" as replacements for "" which where fooling the message parser
    You will find three occurences looking this way:
    {sf:LSWorkspaceCanvasScaleProperty}{sf:number sfa:number="1" sfa:type="f"/}
    Edit the second occurence to fit your needs:
    For instance:
    {sf:LSWorkspaceCanvasScaleProperty}{sf:number sfa:number="0.88" sfa:type="f"/}
    Save the edited file.
    Rename the folder xxxx as xxxx.numbers
    Open it in Numbers.
    The zoom factor will be 88%.
    It will remain this one as far as you don't change it from the zoom menu.
    A neat way to get quite the same result easily is to work with the mode "Print View" active.
    Use the slider available at the bottom to set the scale to fit your needs.

  • Changed file viewing settings for Guest account, now iMac won't boot :(

    I'll start this off by mentioning that I'm not really a techie type person, but I'll do my best to describe what I did as accurately as possible. And I'm pretty good at following layman's terms troubleshooint advice!
    I recently decided to move my iMac into the living room of my apartment. I have never found the need to create a Guest account, but I figured it might be convenient for..well, a guest every now and then. But when I created the guest account I discovered very quickly that they would have access to all of my photos, documents, movies, etc. via the "view all documents" "view all photos" tabs on the left-hand side of the Finder window. I googled what to do and people were saying that it is best to change the viewing options of particular folders via the "get info" tab when you right-click on a folder. There were three categories, the first one I believe was Admin or the main user, the second is "wheel" and the third says "Everyone". I changed the "Everyone" access on the folders I wanted private from read-writable to "none". I left the "wheel" and "admin" categories alone. I also did this to the utilities folder, and the library under the assumption it would only affect guest access to these files, not admin access!
    Also, under the Account Preferences tab in the Apple menu I disabled the viewing of shared folders for the guest. I also disabled automatic login.
    Next thing I know, while I'm under the guest login trying to test out my security updates, I see I can't click on anything! Or open anything! I can't open the finder at all, I can't open the internet, I can't even get to the Apple drop-down menu. I couldn't even log out of guest. I had to turn off my computer without shutting it down. I turned it back on, and it went through the motions of booting up until the blue screen with the grey dashed loading circle (no beach ball, thank god). It acts like it will proceed beyond that point, the grey circle disappears for a moment, but then nothing happens and that process starts over. Like it's stuck and can't find it's own files. I also notice a tiny white square in the upper left-hand corner of the blue screen if that means anything.
    I don't know what the heck I did. I think I somehow managed to block my own admin access (is that even possible??).

    You need to get the install discs, erase the hard drive, and reinstall all the software from scratch. When acquiring a used Mac there's no way to know what condition its software is in... there might be hacks, security holes, pirated software, keyloggers, credit card sniffers, or other even riskier stuff on it. Using a pre-owned Mac's software as-is is a Very High Security Risk. Your Mac's software is obviously distressed. What's more, you are not licensed to use any Apple software unless you own and are in possession of the install discs.
    Get the discs and reinstall. Apple will send you new ones that match your model for a small shipping fee. Call them and provide your Mac's serial number.

  • Views for list web parts. Is there a way to allow users to change the view for a list web part without being redirected?

    Hi,
    I added a list view web part into a SharePoint 2013 page and it  is working as expected, except for one thing.
    I have enabled the option for the user to change the view for the web part. However when the user changes it, the user is redirected away from the page containing the web part, to the URL of the list itself.
    Is there a way to circumvent this issue so when the user selects a different view it updates the listing in the web part itself, rather than the user being redirected?
    Thanks in advance for the help.
    Regards,
    P.

    Hi,
    Please understand that one page can only display one view. You could find it out by observing the Address in browser when switching among different views for a list.
    If you would like to change the view of a list web part, you could go to web part propertites > Select view and configure it.
    In addition, here is a thread with similar requirement that might help:

  • How to change the view criteria at run time for af:query

    Hi,
    I've a usecase where I need to change the view criteria of the af:query at run time.
    Use case:
    =======
    1) Consider a check box (Show Emps Under Dept 10) in the query panel when user selects and clicks 'Search' button should show the employees under dept 10. If user searches without selecting the check box, the results should show all the employees in all the departments.
    2) I need to have a check box always in the query panel. Its mandatory.
    The way I implemented:
    ==============
    1) Created a transient variable 'Show Emps Under Dept 10' in the EmployeeVO and also created a bind variable bind_DeptNo.
    2) Create a view criteria 'AllEmployees' which has only the transient attribute as the view criteria item and whose value set to 'false' by default.
    3) Created another view criteria 'EmpUnderDept' which has 'DepartmentId' as the view criteria item and whose value set to the bind variable 'bind_DeptNo'.
    4) Dropped the view criteria 'EmpUnderDept' as the 'af:query' panel in the jspx page.
    5) Overridden the queryListener as '#{EmpBean.empSearch}'
    6) Has the below code in the empSearch method as below. When user selects the check box, applying the other criteria 'EmpUnderDept' and setting the bind variable to '10'.
    public void empSearch(QueryEvent queryEvent) {
    // Add event code here...
    QueryDescriptor queryDesc = (QueryDescriptor) queryEvent.getDescriptor();
    ConjunctionCriterion conCrit = queryDesc.getConjunctionCriterion();
    List<Criterion> criterionList = conCrit.getCriterionList();
    List criterionValues = new ArrayList();
    Object criteriaValue = null;
    int criteriaNo = 0;
    DCBindingContainer bc = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    for (Criterion criterion : criterionList) {
    AttributeDescriptor attrDescriptor = ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getAttribute();
    System.out.println("============== attrDescriptor.getName() =================== " + attrDescriptor.getName());
    criteriaValue = ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getValues().get(0);
    if(criteriaNo==0) {
    Boolean val = (Boolean) ((AttributeCriterion)criterion).getValues().get(0);
    if (val.equals(true)) {
    OperationBinding method = (OperationBinding) ADFUtil.findOperation("ExecuteWithParams");
    if(method!=null) {
    Map params = method.getParamsMap();
    //params.put(key, value)
    method.getParamsMap().put("bind_DeptId", 10L);
    method.execute();
    ADFUtil.invokeMethodExpression( "#{bindings.EmpUnderDeptCriteiaQuery.processQuery}", queryEvent);
    } else {
    //ADFUtil.invokeEL("#{bindings.ExecuteWithParams.execute}");
    ADFUtil.invokeMethodExpression( "#{bindings.AllEmployeesCriteriaQuery.processQuery}", queryEvent);
    But this approach is not working and its always showing all the employees in all the departments.
    Please let me know if there is a way to change the view criteria at run time depending on the values set at run time for one of the view criteria items.
    JDev version am using is '11.1.1.5'
    Thanks,
    Lakshman

    Hi Shay,
    It worked for me without overriding the executeQuery() method in the ViewImpl.java.
    Instead of creating 2 view criteria, I created only one which has both transient variable and the DepartmentId = <bind_DeptId>. With the above code, it worked properly. Now I am using only one view criteria.
    Thank you.

    In all of my Libraries I have 3-5 views (standard and custom), I cannot select them from the Ribbon thought, the drop down button does not respond when clicked (nothing happens):
    When going with the mouse over the drop down button it shows "javascript:;" in the IE status bar.

  • I can't change the view/order of music on my iPhone in iTunes.

    So, my iPhone is plugged into my MacBook Pro. iTunes is open, the iPhone is in my left column. I select the "Music" sub-cat under my iPhone, which shows me the songs on my iPhone. I cannot change the view or order in which the songs are listed. So I can't sort by name, or artist or album. It appears to be locked on genre, and only the standard list view is available.
    I've restarted the phone. I've changed all sorts of setting in iTunes preferences. I am able to add songs, but I can only delete if I go into the "manually added songs" list.
    I think this was an issue before I upgraded to Lion. Any ideas?

    To Reset your Photo Stream, follow these instructions:
    From a computer browser, go to icloud.com and sign in.
    Click on your name on the iCloud home page (this is the page that shows all the app icons). If you do not see your name, click the cloud icon in the top left of the page.
    Click Advanced.
    Here you will see the Reset Photo Stream button. Clicking this button will remove all your Photo Stream photos from iCloud. Once removed, they cannot be recovered, but you can re-upload any photos you'd like to restore to your Photo Stream from a Mac or PC.
    After resetting your Photo Stream, you can also remove any photos that have been downloaded to your device or computers. To do this, follow the directions below:
    On your iOS device, you can remove photos from the Photo Stream view by turning off Photo Stream and then optionally turning it back on. You can do this at Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream.If you added any Photo Stream photos to other albums or the Camera Roll on your iOS device, you can locate and delete these photos manually, if desired.
