Hi Jeff,
I have found another forum thread with the same problem as yours and a solution outlined. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4480969
According to his solution:
1. Run the CS5 uninstaller (found here): http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/uninstall-creative-suite-cs5-cs5.html
2. Manually update your applications (found here): http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
3. Restart your system.
I hope this helps your situation as the error code is the same. Please update with your experience and we can work torwards the best solution.
Cheers,
Michael

  • CS6 Creative cloud updates could not be applied Win 7.

I am trying to apply the latest updates to Creative Cloud CS6 on a computer running Win 7. The error log file gives this error:
    Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.1.1 Update
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1U5
And so on, through all the remaining modules. How can I install the update?

In case you have not tried applying the update manually try downloading the same and running it manually from -

  • Adobe Extension Manager CS6 update could not be applied

I have been trying to update my Adobe Extension Manager in CS6 to version 6.0.6 and when I do I receive the error: "update could not be applied ". The only option then is the close. How can this problem be corrected?
Note: I'm using Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium on Windows 7
Okay, I just tried uninstalling it and reinstalling after I deleted all mxi files/folders from BOTH "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6\EM Store" AND "C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CS6 folders. I then tried installing the program again. I then tried updating it using Adobe Application Manager and again it fails and spits back the following code: U44M1P7. I opened the extension manager and checked on the version number mentioned which was 6.0.0.3.4.8 which to me is strange considering that I installed 6.0.6 after the uninstall.
I can get to the Adobe Extension Manager CS6 6.0.6 06-04-2013.log.gz file but I haven't a clue as to how to open it or attach it to this message.

The error message in the log file is:
DF045: File corruption detected. Re-install the product & then apply the patch again. (Can not repair file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6\Adobe Extension Manager CS6.exe")(Seq 13)
You can simply delete the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CS6" folder, then download and install http://download.macromedia.com/pub/dw_exchange/extension_manager/win/AdobeExtensionManager 6.0.6All.zip. You will have the latest version of Extension Manager.

I get a message that an update is available and when I install it the update stops half way through and I get the error code: U44M1I210 for Camera Raw and Elements 13.1 updates. I get the message "UPDATES COULD NOT BE APPLIED" Can someone help with this? Thank you. David

    Thanks for the follow up.
Is your Premiere Elements 13 on Mac computer?
I have not seen much in the way of alternatives coming from Adobe on the Premiere Elements 13.1 failed updates.
But there seems to be several discussions on U44M11210 in the CC products...one
Update failure. (U44M1I210) | Adobe Community
You could try the uninstall, free ccleaner, reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s)  and then try for the Help Menu/Update for 13.1..
    If Mac, https://www.piriform.com/mac/ccleaner
If Windows, CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
The CC people seem to have the advantage of an online download of their update as well as the one via the Help Menu/Update.
Premiere Elements does not have that perk - update only via Help Menu/Update.
Please review and consider and please let us know of your progress as your schedule permits.
    Thank you.

  • Re: DW CS6 Creative Cloud update fails...

    Hi Jeff,
Yet another update notice from the "Cloud" and another bout of installation errors.
As a long time (late 80's) Adobe User  and a programmer, I am frustrated by the installers apparent insistence on ALL language files being in place.  It does not seem like a big deal to have the installer update the core programs and those language files that exist in the users installation.  For example, even though I can speak German, I have no need for it in my daily applications and therefore it has been deleted.  The idea of reinstalling the entire CS6 suite to overcome the lack of a language seems silly to me...that is unless I am missing something more important in the language requirement.
Each time the message comes from the "Cloud", I know what will happen...the UMP error and I don't seem to be able to get rid of the notifications.
I moved to OSX many years ago to get away from this Windoze like behaviour.
Is there a reason that I am missing in this stuff, because I really don't want to dump my installation and start again.
    Thanks
    Ken T

    HI Jeff,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
I am getting the Message the the other fellow got...the "Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7." message.
I have seen other entries about this with other users and the answer is always the same...reinstall your base setup and the problem is fixed.
Well that's the do nothing approach to fixing a programming problem and appears to be some of the cause of the current problem with the Affordable Healthcare website which is now shining a light upon the practice of finger pointing rather than applying an educated and easy fix.
I keep getting the notifications that there are updates and keep forgetting that in order to apply them I have to do the reinstall....which I don't want to do since it's all of the Creative Suite.
Languages are not critical to the operation of the Creative Suite.  If they were, the programs would not run without them them; so it begs the question...why are the languages important to the installer?
I am way behind in updates because of this issue and I keep hoping that some programmer will insert a conditional clause in the routine to update all the languages or just the ones that are found...not a hard thing to do.  Sort of like having to become a client before you can browse the offerings, if you get my drift.
I understand and speak many languages, but I work in English and as far as I'm concerned it is wasted space on my harddrive to have all the known languages and dialects of the world installed because I don't need or use them.
I'm old school and like my privacy.  I have not had my Facebook account hacked because I don't have one.  Up until the advent of the "Cloud" all my updates were seamless and I would like to have that ability again.  Those updates did NOT check to see if I had ALL the languages installed...or if I was smiling while the programme updated; neither condition was relevant to the task.
The KISS principle needs to be applied to the installer and the installer should meet the needs of the user...not the other way around.
I know many people who are using older and non-updated versions of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Fireworks because of the updater problem and we all consider the day when our programs no longer work...and we are not happy.
I hope that someone will update the Updater and modify the requirement for the languages...that should eliminate an error message that basically tells you nothing.
    Thanks
    Ken T

  • Creative cloud update, does not update it deletes

When trying to UPDATE Creative Cloud, it runs through the "motions, but it deletes the files out of the folder, it does not re-install anything.  This has happened the last 3 or 4 times I have tried and is becoming bloody annoying!!! the only way to "FIX" it is to completely re-install the Creative Cloud.  It is SUPPOSED to UPDATE not REMOVE/DELETE!!! ADOBE is becoming far too unreliable now and still charging me top Dollar for my membership, as there are no real alternatives and I really do need the software Adobe hold me to ransom... I have telephoned them for support in the past the told me to download CC again and re-install it.  BUT this DOES NOT FIX THE BLOODY PROBLEM!!!! no other programs have any issue on my system so it IS an Adobe flaw/fault.  I am sick of speaking to people who can hardly speak English for support I need someone who I can understand and who WILL follow up with the technicians and FIX this problem!!!

Not to really go into a bash Adobe thing but this AAM issue is actually one of the lower less problematic issues Adobe has with thier software.  Yeah it is a problem but compared to the other issues this isn't really in the top ten.
Macs.. Can't help you there sorry.  Windows guy here but if I could I would help best I could.  Could be a permissions issue like on Windows 7 64bit, maybe try permissions on the software?   Though if you can't install anything at all in the first place that would be a bigger issue.   On windows they have a help about this issue on Adobe's site but I did not see a mac version for same issue, they may have one but I really wasn't looking for mac related as I don't have mac.
Search the help knowledge base for problems installing cloud software, should find something.  Sorry couldn't be of more help.

  • Adobe Application Manager. Error: Updates could not be applied. You are already running the Adobe...

    Hi Guys
I am having a rather frustrating issue with my Photoshop CS6. I have been trying to run the updates for hours now as my Photoshop CS6 is slow and unresponsive. I have an i7 Mac and 16GB of RAM. it should not be slow.
    Anyway.
I keep getting this error each time I try to run the updates.
    I have:
    Restarted
    Repaired permissions
    Reinstalled Adobe Applications Manager
    Nothing works.
    Pulling my hair out.

I have even tried manually downloading the update DMGs and doing it that way but the error persists.

  • After Effects CC "Updates could not be applied, Updates have been suppressed by the administrator"

    MacBook Pro
Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    Software  OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
I am the administrator of this machine with complete and full access.
    Situation:
I tried to open After Effects and received this notification:
I then proceeded to uninstall AE CC and reinstall using the Adobe CC Desktop App.
Upon trying to reopen AE, I received the same message.
I then started googling to troubleshoot and came upon this update:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=5735&fileID=5749
Downloaded and proceeded to install which then brought up this issue:
Which then lead me to doing more troubleshooting via google.  I found this solution:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1369476
    which suggests that I:
    Delete or rename the  <Startup Disk>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
NOTE:  The file path works up until you get to the folder AAMUpdaterInventory.  The folder is wrong.  It is AAMUpdater (at least on my mac).
None the less, I proceed and delete the file.
    I try reinstalling:
Adobe After Effects CC (12.2.1) update
And get the same message as before (shown above)
I RETRY the same solution but this time rename it.  Same resulting error.
I RETRY the same solution but this time utilize the terminal to find the file and delete it (per this suggestion: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5878107)
Terminal can't find the files (for either spellings of AAMUpdaterInventory / AAMUpdater).
Further troubleshooting and I follow this solution:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2014/02/12/prevent-crash-on-export-with-premiere-pro-c c-adobe-media-encoder-cc/
I uninstall and reinstall the Adobe CC desktop app.
    Run the program.  Doesn't work.
    Run the update.  Same Error.
I contact Adobe Customer Support.  I end up in a screen share with some Adobe representative with his previous customers computer screen still open in the screen share program, basically showing me everything on her computer... and the agent sits there pretty much helpless blaming her for 15 minutes.  Clearly helpful.  (breach of security?)
I have literally tried every avenue of troubleshooting to resolve this and it's beginning to seem hopeless.
Who's got some useful solutions for me?

  • After effect cc updates could not be applied

Hi, just tried to make after effect cc working on osx, when I installed the adobepatchinstaller, it just kept saying UPDATE FAILED.
Does anyone have the same problem?

What version of OSX? What version of AE? Looks like CS6 but I may be wrong? What else changed on your system since the last update? Where did you get the download manager? Lots more detail is going to be required to come up with a possible solution.

  • Purchase After Effects via creative cloud but could not install

I've purchase after effects via educators plan .. however it seems after effects cant be downloaded altho its in the plan.
So I have paid extra for single app... and yet its the same.
I click on download but nothing appear. The app does not appear on the manager as well.
    HELP Me.
I really need to use after effects.. i need to do a video animation like the 'annoying orange' via after effects.  is there any other adobe apps that i can do the same effects?

You need a 64-bit computer and operating system to run After Effects. Does your system meet the Tech Specs http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html?

  • Acrobat v10x CS6 Installation: "Some items could not be installed and then Error 1301

Brand new MacBook Pro Retina 16GB, 512SSD, Mountain Lion.
I successfully installed all apps in CS6 Web and Design Premium EXCEPT... I had a warning on Acrobat install: "Some items could not be installed properly".
However, Acrobat 10.0.0 launches and runs fine. Then, I try to move on and upgrade to 10.1.4 (or even 10.0.1) and no matter whether I uninstall and reinstall, repair disk permissions, talk to Adobe support for four times now and let them try everything, I'm still getting Error 1301 "The update could not be applied because Adobe Acrobat application contents were modified since the original installation. I had them send me a hard copy of the CS6 Suite and reinstalled the entire suite. Again, ALL other apps run and upgrade perfectly EXCEPT Acrobat.
Now, support tells me to use the "Run Repair Acrobat Installation to replace missing files." from this advisory and call them back later (file:///Users/mbp/Desktop/extras/maccomputers/Errors%20and%20freezes%20%7C%20Adobe%20Rea der%20%7C%20Mac%20OS.webarchive).
Here's the latest hitch: There is no such:  "Repair Acrobat Installation". I'm thinking they think there is and there isn't.

    Hi,
Thanks for the advice. Tried this and does not work. Exact same results. I really wonder if I am the only person with a MacBook Pro Retina with an 512GB SSD running Mountain Lion that has tried to install Acrobat 10.0.0. I think there is some conflict with Mac OS 10.8.2 that is hostile to the installation sequence Adobe created for Acrobat. I fear Adobe would rather I upgrade to Acrobat X1 than spend their time patching this.

In this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
    Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.

  • Problem updating CS6 Creative Cloud apps

Is there a central location to go to update CS6 Creative Cloud applications?

All updates are handled through the application manager and if that is not centralized enough, then I'm not sure what you are asking.

Adobe Creative Cloud (Desktop) does not work properly. The application is blocked : it could not be launch neither stopped. I'm on MAC Yosemite OS, does anyone know how to remove it properly or to force its stop. It does not appear in the launched applications.

I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
I tried to uninstall the application  but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.
    Thanks for your help.
