CS6 deployment error with Application Manager Enterprise 3.1 Edition

Hello everyone,
I am currently trying to create a DesignWebPremium and Master Collection CS6 deployment package with AMEE 3.1 (Application Manager Enterprise Edition) on Windows 7 EE x64 without any luck.
I keep getting the following error log:
11/16/2012 06:35:51[INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Build Version - 3.1.105.0
11/16/2012 06:35:51[INFO] AdobePackageBuilder - Logging Level verbosity Set  to 4

so I thought I could be smart and just take out Acrobat from the install package, but still no luck:

I have tried creating the deployment package as both 32-Bit, 64-Bit, including updates and not including them, running AMEE 3.1 with administrative access and without - it just doesn't work...
I'll be grateful for any constructive help.

Hi,
I just did come across this error today, and thought of sharing with the solution. This error is due to insufficient previlages of user, while he is trying to configure the hyperion Products. So all you have to do to solve this is, while you try to configure, right click on the configuration utility and run as administrator, and do the configuration as usual. This would solve this issue. I did not have this issue with Windows 2003 Server, but faced this while installing on Windows 2008 Server.
Thanks,
Leo Jose.

  • Cannot launch Flash CS6 after installation with Application manager

I have recently installed the Flash CS6 trial via the application manager.
After installation I was able to run the application normally. But, the next day, obviously after restart, there is no icon inside Application manager to launh it. It only shows "installed".
When I am trying to launch the application by double clicking on it's icon in the folder where it is installed, I receive the error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device or path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
    How can I resolve this?
    Thanks

    >Right click start menu shortcut and clock properties
    >find out file location
    >one of the folders it's in is locked and needs permission
    >keep searching until you find application
    >open it
    >now can install
Anyway to fix any of this?
Is our computers messed up or something?

  • Packaging InDesign CS5 with Application Manager Enterprise

    Hello together,
for my company I need to create a package for Adobe InDesign CS 5. I found out that there is a nice
software to create a MSI file for this product but unfortunately I've got some problems with that.
I've configured the InDesign package according to my companys requirements in the Adobe Application Manager.
Everything has worked well and I wanted to make a test installation in my VMWare but the MSI log file throws back an Error: 1603
There seems to be an error with the Custom Action "CADeploy" which calls the "runDeploymentManager"
    function from a dll file.
Is it possible that there are any prerequisites needed on my test system to get the installation working?
Here are some lines from the log file which may help you:
CustomAction CADeploy returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)
MSI (s) (50:64) [20:17:22:682]: User policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0
MSI (s) (50:64) [20:17:22:682]: Machine policy value 'DisableRollback' is 0
Action ended 20:17:22: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.
    Property(S): CADeploy = mode=install;sourceDir=C:\temp\;installDir=;origDB=C:\temp\Adobe InDesign CS5.msi
If you need some further informations please let me know. I appreciate any help!
    Kind regards
    Severin Schaffer

Ok, I was able to resolve this error by myself.
I found out, that the installation from InDesign write a log file to %temp% which gives you very useful informations.
My mistake was to not include all the directorys that were created from the Application Manager.
    Kind regards

  • Installing Acrobat XI with Application Manager gave error 1624

Installation of Acrobat XI with Application manager gave these error messages:
ERROR: Install MSI payload failed with error: 1624 - Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.
    MSI Error message:
ERROR: Third party payload installer AcroPro.msi failed with exit code: 1624

    My apologies.
I found a failed installation of Acrobat XI dated  05/2013 .
I downloaded and used the Adobe Acrobat/Reader Cleaner then successfully installed Acrobat XI with the Application Manager.
Thanks for helping me find the fix.

  • Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition...

The update server is not responding. I'm attempting to build a deployment package for Captivate. I get this error after the Updates screen.
We are behind a proxy. I suspect that is the issue. Is there a way to manually enter the proxy information via some config file so that AAMEE knows how to connect?

  • What is the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE)?

The Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition is a configuration application designed to package Creative Suite applications as MSI on Windows and PKG for Mac for silent deployment to multiple end user machines. Featuring an easy-to-use interface, it allows IT specialists to automatically enter and validate volume serial numbers over the internet prior to installation, choose which applications are installed, disable automatic updates, and turn off manual registration.

  • Problem with Application Manager

I presently own Web and Design Premium CS6. My Adobe Application Manager  is giving me access to install After Effects CS6, Premier Pro CS6,  Audition CS6, Muse CS6, Speed Grade CS6, Prelude CS6, Edge Animate,  Flash Builder and Touch App Plugins. The Application Manager also is  giving me the option to install some programs that are already installed  (Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, Flash CS6, Acrobat X) but the other  programs that are already installed with my version of CS6 (Dreameaver,  Fireworks, InDesign) are shown as already installed. I am also given the options to install ALL CS6 applications on another computer that doesn't have any CS 6 applications installed (only has CS 5.5)...and isn't licensed to install any CS6 apps, either.
I don't understand any of this. I am definitely not a Cloud subscriber. I double-checked my account to be sure there was no foul up in that area.. I definitely have NO subscriptions to anything on Adobe. What's
    going on?
    Chick

Well, there is never any obligation to buy Adobe's free trials - you can download, install, and run the trials of tools you don't already have, or more recent versions if you'd like to - but that would be up to you.

  • Photoshop CS 6 repeatedly launching, conflict with Application Manager

I am now getting multiple systems that will not open Photoshop CS 6.  As soon as PS starts to open, Application Manager starts and prevents PS from opening.  The two applications alternate for control with neither being able to open.  This problem is also occurring with Illustrator CS 6 and now has started in Photoshop.
When the "fight" starts you have to do a forced shut down (power button for 10 seconds) in order to be able to login.  Then Uninstalling the application, either by the Uninstaller of PS or by using the ELA uninstaller created when the Install package is created.  Systems are Apple 10.8.2 with Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Created installer for Master Suite.
This has now appeared on six or seven systems of the approximatly 200 that got the install.  The applications ran normally with no problems for about two weeks bu now the problems are popping up for no appearent reason.

Thank you for the video.  It is exactly what has been reported by me and some others in the Illustrator forum also.  To me a "crash" is when a program fails to open properly and requires a forced power off to recover the computer.  I will add that the same problem as shown will appear again as soon as Photoshop (or Illustrator if that is the broken program) is reopened.  The problem will remain until PS (or AI) is uninstalled and reinstalled.  The version I have for the installer is the older 13.1 but that had worked for several weeks and this problem just started recently and I had not installed (at least knowingly) any changed software be it PS, AI or AAM. prior to that time.  I did have some systems at the latest update and at least one of those failed also.
I have tried creating an Update package from AAMEE but the package that is created does not install using Apple Remote Desktop nor does it install if the created package is copied to the desktop of the system I am trying to update.
It is looking to me like the problem is located in the Adobe Application Manager since that app is common to both Photoshop and Illustrator.  I have tried using the AAM that installs as part of the Master Suite and the first thing it does is update itself.  My guess is that this "update" that AAM self-installs is broken and is causing the problem.  That is only my guess based on my observations.  Perhaps someone can come up with a way to prove or disprove my guess.
My next project for tomorrow will be to try to create a brand new installer with all updates since trying to individually use the Update button in the actual Photoshop  does work but I'll be damned if I am going to visit two hundred seperate machines to have to install the update on each and every system as a stand alone update, especially since I have already had at least one system that I know was on the latest update but still failed in exactly the way your video shows.
A follow up will be to try to remove the AAM and reinstall a new version from the Adobe web site just to see if that helps, hurts or has no discernable effect.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 won't run, problem with Application Manager

I've now got three Adobo Photoshop CS products on my MacBook Pro, the latest is CS6 which won't run.
I own Photoshop CS3, I just happen to install the CS5.x suite today, which runs during the trial period (30 day, today is day #1).
I then see that PSCS6 is out so I install that and get an error dialog.
    Adobe Photoshop CS6
Adobe Application Manager, required to verify your license, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager.
I go to that URL, run the new application manager and get that same dialog box when I try to run CS6.
When I did the CS6b install it asked for my Adobe ID/password and I entered that and the install completed. So I'm not sure what's going on.

Hi, Using OSX Lion...was getting the same AAM errors.
I hope my "fix" is of help:
During one installation attempt I noticed that it was using an Adobe Application Manager here:
    ~User/Applications/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp/core/Adobe Application Manager
It is version 6.0.236.0 and the installer deletes it after the install. The download page only has version 2.
So during my last install attempt, I grabbed a copy of that OOBE directory -- to catch the support files -- before deletion.
Did not work in user Applications folder, but when I copied it in the location of AAM 2, it works.
The full location is as follows (I renamed the original OOBE folder as a back-up):
    HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/PDApp/core/Adobe Application Manager
Authorization works, and software update seems to...however, uninstall can't use this method.

    Any Ideas?

Are you using Windows 8 Enterprise? If so, did you configure the AllowAllTrustedApps
    key?

  • Error updating application manager

I have CS6 and today joined CC for Team.
First time I have tryed to download photoshop from browser admin the system tried to launch application manager but don't work sayng I havent  admin rights.
So I have launched application manager from menu with right mouse run as administrator.
But window appear with "updating application manager", work until 80% and then report: Error, installation of application manager failed.
I am on Windows 64 bit, tried to restart win, deactivate firewall ecc but nothing...
    What can I do?
Can I unistall and reinstall application manager? If I uninstall  CS6 Master collection still work. I haven't found way for uninstall application manager.
    Thanks in advance
    Angelo Gaidano

Angelo I am very concerned by the fact that you received an error that you did not have admin rights.  Which Windows 64 bit are you using?  Have you tried temporarily disabling User Account Control?
