anybody that has cs6 please help me and send me these files for the following reasons
Hey guys,
I have created a nightmare of files while trying to understand jquery and starter pages. I deleted all the original files. the following are the original paths that should be on your mac with cs6. These files are outdated I know current stable versions are 1.7.1 and 1.0.1. but I need to study the original files when cs6 was released so that I can grasp the entire concept. I installed all new files with current versions but I am having difficulty. I need to study the original files and paths to understand what my screw ups are.
My brain has to see what was happening before I went down this road of pain. The below code is the absolute path to the folder of files I need. Please help me and duplicate the folder of files {jquery-mobile} and zip it and send it to me so I can start over. I want to edit my own files and cdn does not work for me. I am trying to grasp all of this from the beginning. I moved to quickly and stupidly deleting my original files. Please send me the original so I do not have to reinstall.

Nancy, the problem is getting the very first file {jquery.mobile.theme-1.0.min.css} this file had to come with dreamweaver.
the word {.theme}is in no other files on the site. I had the swatches working when I had this file but using all updated files
I can not get the swatches feature to work without this file. I have created themes on jquery mobile brought them in to dreamweaver and can't get any visible swatches. I have tried every file configuration.
what would be the file name in the current version of jquery mobile which will allow me to get the original color themes. without that file I can not get it working. what can you tell me about that? If I had studied the original file I would know the answer

CS6 Dreamweaver and InDesign quit immediately on startup.

I have installed CS6 Design and Web Premium on a MacBookPro OS10.9.4 that also has CS5 Design and Web Premium installed. Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Fireworks and Flash all open without problem. BUT CS6 Dreamweaver and InDesign quit immediately on startup. CS5 programs all still open without problem.

Yes! I beleive this is a bug in the Installer where it leaves ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version 8.0 marked read-only, and then InDesign crashes early in the startup process (in the "AdobeBIB" component) when it tries to write its preferences and it fails to do so.
This is a longstanding bug and nobody understands why the installer messes it up.
So the answer is to either trash the above folder, or to hit Cmd-I (File Info) on it in the Finder and make sure it is set to read-write under Sharing and Permissions.
I just got done complaining a lot about this to Adobe, actually, last night. Bugs 3478250, 3478260, 3478263, 3478267, and 3424687.
(Of course, I might be wrong and it could be somethign totally different).
If the above doesn't work, try a new user account on your machine.
Oh, and also, you'll need to hit Cmd-Shift-G in the Finder and type in ~/Library to get to the hidden library folder (though there are other ways).

CS6 Dreamweaver frozen on mac

I keep trying to start Dreamweaver CS6 on my MAC, but it keeps freezing and I have to force quit. Is there is fix on this?
I am using:
OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
Processor: 3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5
Memory: 64 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics: AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB

Did you just install Yosemite on a system that already had DW or is this a fresh install on a new machine?
You might need to reinstall Java SE 6. DWCS6 won't run without it: Java for OS X 2014-001
If it had previously run correctly on Yosemite, I would clear the cache and restore preferences:
Deleting a corrupted cache file
Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS4, CS5, CS5.5
Restore preferences | Dreamweaver CS6, Dreamweaver CC
Make sure to turn on your hidden files first though, or you won't be able to get to those locations discussed...

CS6 Dreamweaver software won't open, how do I solve this problem?

I have CS6 (not cloud) installed on my computer, I use Photoshop and Illustrator regularly with no problems. I recently got a freelance job that requires me to use Dreamweaver. I've used it in the past but it's been some time since I've opened the program. Recently I've tried to launch CS6 Dreamweaver and the Application won't open, but my Illustrator and Photoshop programs open just fine. I tried to update my software through the Adobe Application Manager but its claiming that the update has failed and cannot be applied. Is there a reason my applications are not working properly?

If you have turned on your hidden folders (which is necessary in both PC and Mac to see the folders at the correct locations) and they don't exist, a full reinstall is going to be the only thing that will get you going most likely.

CS6 Dreamweaver fails to open

I have been using CS6 Dreamweaver on my laptop running Windows 8 for a about a month or so. Just recently, when I try to open up Dreamweaver, it failts to load. Once I click on the Dreamweaver to open, it begins to load and fails right when it gets to the point of "Initializing Files". I then get a message that the program has stopped working.
Any thoughts?
I have uninstalled both Dreamweaver and the entire CS6 suite from my laptop and reinstalled it. All my other CS6 products continue to work fine as well such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Any ehlp would be so appreciated.

Right click edit gone and toolbar buttons are black and white, HELP! CS6 Dreamweaver, post update.

Right click to edit is gone and buttons are grayscale in CS6 Dreamweaver. Between yesterday and today my toolbar buttons went from color to grayscale and my ability to right click code and choose edit is gone. I did the update they pushed out. Ideas?

The Creative Cloud version of DW changed a bunch of stuff, I think the Edit Tag dialogue was one of them. Here's a few links discussing the changes...

CS6 Dreamweaver using PHP & MySQL - Delete Record Server Behavior?

When I try to insert the Delete Record server behavior. I get an error message about a DeleteRecord.js file, which seems to be missing or defective. I cannot use the server behavior. I have a file that I developed using CS5, and it does indeed delete the record, but does not proceed to the destination I want. I cannot change that except in the server behavior, so I'm stuck. I have noticed that server behaviors seem to disappear without apparent cause, as it seems to have in this case. I will appreciate any suggestions! Is there any way to embed a call to a target page manually? All is working WITHOUT the server behavior appearing, but I want to go to a confirmation display page that shows the record is indeed deleted, and we just return to the (now blank) delete confirmation page. That'll drive a user bonkers!

Delete Record in CS6 Dreamweaver using PHP & MySQL?

Well, your error message is self-explanatory.
DW stores ServerBehaviors in 'Configuration' folder in installation directory. If one of the behavior JS files is missing/ corrupt, you'll see the error message you just did.
I've uploaded a functional, proper version of DeleteRecord.js onto my site for you to download. Here's the link:

Download this file, extract it and put DeleteRecord.js file in your installation directory as follows. If prompted, 'replace' your local copy:
Mac: Applications > Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 > Configuration > ServerBehaviors > PHP_MySQL
Windows: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\[language]\Configuration\ServerBehaviors\PHP_MySQL
It should work as expected.

CS6 Dreamweaver "Not Supported on this type of mac"

Hello All,
I have a new Macbook Pro w/ retina display. I recently bought Dreamweaver CS6 to complement Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 versions. I am running OS X 10.8.1 and Dreamweaver seems to run fine as does Photoshop and Illustrator. After installing the newest Dreamweaver update, it no longer works and gives the error ...Not Supported on this type of mac. I have seen this thread posted with regard to older OS versions but am unsatisfied with any responses and perplexed as my mac is brand new.

Cs6 dreamweaver - javascript error with Clean up Word HTML . . .

Very recently upgraded to CS6 from CS5.5. Every now and then, I have to run the Clean up Word HTML Commands function for a client. Never had a problem before. This time, I got this message:
While executing onClick in Clean Up Word HTML.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 2012 of the "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CS6:Configuration:commans:Clean Up Word HTML.js"
The object is not currently contained in a document.
I searched through the Discussions and found refernce to deleting MacFileCache-###.dat file in the Library Configuration folder for Dreamweaver CS 6. Did that, same thing. It also mentioned deleted the entire Configuration folder. Same result.
I called tech support and was directed to go through the (count 'em) 14 steps on the Troubleshoot JavaScript page -- http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs4.html. Still no luck.
Anyone else out there having this problem? What am I missing? Help!

That could be. Let me know when you have grabbed these. They were Word docs that I saved the same way I always have done (Save As, Format: Web Page (.htm)), creating .htm files that work in CS5.5 Dreamweaver and earlier versions.

Software Updater CS6 - Dreamweaver crashing???

ISSUE1:
There was an update to Fireworks yesterday, and since I did the update, Dreamweaver CS6 is not working. DW gets stuck at "Loading Site Cache" and it freezes with a blank gray screen. I have to force quit Dreamweaver. It won't load.
I tried clearing up the "MacFileCache-<randomString>.dat" files, but it still won't work.
All my other CS6 apps work fine. Any ideas?
ISSUE 2:
Also, I notice that when the Adobe Software Updater comes up to remind me of updates, I am know required to log into a Creative Cloud account. Why is this? I am not a CC monthly subscriber. I use CS6.
I am on Mac OSX 10.7.5 on a MacPro computer.

I'm having the exact same issue as billhdz.
First, DW would freeze on updating the site cache so I disabled that in the Site-settings. However when I go to edit a Template-page and save it (choosing to update all documents that use the template in question), the process of scanning through the site starts. I will sometimes get past the "Counting"-phase only to get stuck on "Scanned X of Y", where the process seems to stall at any one of the first 10 files (at random). I have tried moving the files it chokes on out of the site directory, but the process just seems to find another file to stall on every time...
I have followed all the advice given in this article, and more. I have also deleted all extended file attributes in OS X (Mavericks) and set uniform file attributes to all directories and files in the site folder (permission 755 = drwxr-xr-x) in case DW was getting hung up on permission-issues.
I see that the last post here involved creating another user on OS X, but I was hoping perhaps billhdz (or someone else) would have some input on this now that it's been a few months?

New to CS6 Dreamweaver, creating a "Responsive Website" having trouble getting fluid divs to behave

Trying to create a "Responsive Website" and I'm having trouble getting my fluid divs that I create to "break" their link from the "Boilerplate" .
I'm using a "Fluid Grid layout Div" to create a section that has a transparent background of rgba(0,0,0,0.3) and that's perfect, then I add two more "Fluid Grid layout Div's" inside the transparent one to create a 2-column part in the section and that's where the trouble is.
None of the "formatting" I've set for the text in my ID's or Classes are being used - just reverts to what's in the "Boilerplate" i.e. "p,h2,h3" and I can't get it to "break" it's link the "Boilerplate" so I can apply my formatting.
I have been able to select my formatting at times but it is ignored and uses what's in the "Boilerplate".
Kept trying different ways to get it to work and now I've so many of both the ID's and Class's that their not all showing up as an option to be able select them.
I'm missing something basic and after two days it still escapes me.
Please somebody, tell me what I'm missing.

FluidGrid Layouts are not easy to learn. You need a good grasp of fundamental RWD concepts including CSS Media Queries. Keep your layout simple and be patient. The first time I used FGLayouts, I had to start over 9 times before I got acceptable results.

Best advice for beginners:
Build Mobile Layout first. Everything else is based on this primary layout. Then build Tablet layout and finally Desktop. Don't worry about content. Just build the layout & save often during development.
DO NOT TAMPER with the boilerplate.css or FGLayout.css code. Even experts can break the layout in a hurry. Use a separate external style sheet for content and typography styles.
If you're using CS6 ver 12.0, you cannot nest divs inside other divs. Everything must be inside the .gridContainer like this:

CS6 Dreamweaver Extensions Missing

I have just updated from CS5, and normally Extension Manager imports all extensions from the previous version on installation. this appears to have happened with the other apps, but not Dreaweaver. With Dreamwaever selected in Extension Manager there are no extensions showing at all. My Dreamweaver CS5 had 45 extensions enabled. I don't want to have to look them up one by one on exchange and install them. How do I import them?

I did this by launching the Extension Manager panel in DW CS6 and hitting the Install button.
Browse for old version of DW / Extension Manager / Configuration / Extensions / and clicking each of the .mxp files.

CS6 Dreamweaver Slowdown

Dreamweaver CS6 has been working well for me until just the other day. In the middle of my work day Dreamweaver started getting very sluggish (and showing the rainbow wheel) when changing between DW windows. When the slow down happens 'Activity Monitor' shows dreamweaver using up any where from 90-101% of CPU.'
OSX10.8.2 / MacBook Air Mid 2012 (8GB RAM) / Dreamweaver CS6 12.1 Build 5966 (Adobe Cloud subscription)
Nothing else on the computer is having this slowdown behaviour. Once I'm in a DW window (like 'files' or and html doc) everything works smoothly. But as soon as I move from window to the next I get this huge lag (about 15 seconds) before I can do anything in Dreamweaver. Needless to say it's really effecting productivity.
I've tried:
Restarting
Resetting PRAM
Clearing/reseting DW cache and preferences
Removing any uneeded DW functions in 'view'
Made sure there were no DW extensions installed
The only plugin ('plug-ins' foler) is 'Flash Player'
At this point nothing has worked. I see there something similar was mentioned (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1100065) last fall but the post suggests it's fixed.
Anyone have a suggestion?

I broke down the CSS and found it seemed to be related to media queries. I had two, one using a whole number for screen width and one using a number with a long decimal. By removing the decimal the problem went away. As I add back in the decimal I found that the longer the decimal was the longer the DW lag was in opening up the file.

Spry menu problem - CS6 Dreamweaver

I wonder if anyone can help me with my spry menu problem which I have with a fixed 960px wide horizonal menu bar that has 8 items in it. The sub-menus don't seem to display properly when you click on them in that some of the submenus only show up at the end of the menu bar itself in Explorer browsers 8/9. Does anyone know of any code I can apply to fix this problem? I am new to spry menu features and so any help would be very much appreciated.

Also validate the rest of the code in your pages to see if you have any critical errors that need fixing. For example, a missing doc type declaration might explain Spry failures.

As an FYI, Adobe abandonded the Spry Framework late last year, after CS6 was released because Spry drop-menus don't hold up well on touch screen devices. If you can't get satisfaction with Spry, try jQuery Superfish. It's a better menu system.

Help Getting CS6 DreamWeaver to Allow Me to Set HTML Settings in Property Inspector

Hi,
Another quesiton regarding table layout. As I often am designing email newsletters, I still need easy ways to set old fashioned HTML elements without messing with CSS (alignment, etc) - it just works better for me for email blasts to code in HTML, plus Outlook still doesn't follow CSS very well in HTML emails.
After moving to CS6 on a Mac, I can't get the property inspector to allow me to edit HTML Cell properties in the property inspector. Everything is grayed out. I'm sure this is some setting somewhere but I can't find it. In Preferences I do have "HTML instead of CSS" set. Note that in CS6 on my PC I AM able to edit these fields and change alignment and other cell propertie.s But, see below, on the Mac, everything is grayed out and I can't edit anything.
It's got to be a setting somewhere. How do you over ride CS6 insistance on CSS and HTML blocking and go back to ability to set HTML properties in the property inspector? There has to be something set different on my PC install than my Mac install but I can't figure out what, as I personally don't remember changing anything and both are brand new installs of CS6, and both are editing the same file.

Thanks so much for the response, and I understand CS6 is more standards compliant, but they did NOT remove the ability to make these changes. You’re missing that I AM able to change and edit in the property inspector to my hearts content in CS6 on my WINDOWS install. See this screen shot – I can click in the property inspector for a cell and change alignment, etc, and CS6 happily makes the code (like it should) for me. But on the MAC, it’s grayed out per my original post. There is a setting I’m missing that I can’t find, or does CS6 Mac not work like CS6 Windows? Something doesn’t add up.
