Cs6 in cc 2014

CC 2014: After installing CS6 from CC apps, (older version) I can only seem to get to Encore.
I thought we were supposed to be able to use CS6???

from the creative cloud app, you should be able to filter apps by previous versions, then choose which older version you want, such as the cs6 version. Creative Cloud Help | Download, install, update, or uninstall apps

Illustrator CS6, CC, "CC 2014" not honoring a 100% Cyan Spot Color Swatch change.

Why does Illustrator CS6, CC, "CC 2014" not honor a "100% Cyan Spot Color Swatch" changing the % value in the Color Pallet.
I create 3 different Spot Color Swatches of 100% Cyan, 100% Magenta and 100% Yellow in the Swatch pallet.
Then I fill 3 different squares with one of each Swatch and put the Fill to 70% on all in the Color Pallet.
Now I try to change each square back to 100% value in the Color Pallet by typing a number into the Percent Field.
But the Cyan Spot Color does not honor the entry, the Yellow and Magenta are fine.
Has anyone seen this behavior before, and what can be done to resolve it?

I would report this as a bug, you can use the slider to set it to 100%, but not enter that value by typing. Strange.

Copy and paste From cs6 to cc 2014 Problem

Hi when i try to copy text or anything really from Indesign cs6 and try and paste it in CC 2014 why does it convert it to a image? I cannot edit it when i copy and paste. All the content stays the same but is i am guessing converted to outlines. How can i stop this? It did just fine copying and pasting from cs6 to CC from last year but not with the new update. Please help

The reason we did it was because our CS6 has q2id installed on it and CC does not. One person that works here didnt want to just save the file in CS6 and just open it in CC later. I just wanted to know if there was a setting i could undo to stop it from importing like that.

CC (2014) Photo Program and other CS6 apps - Updates for CS6 to CC (2014)?

I have the CS6 Design & Web Premium apps installed, plus the Creative Cloud Photo Program option (PS and LR).
With the new CC (2014) release today I'm being offered CC (2014) updates for all the CS6 programs that I have that aren't in the Photo Program (i.e. Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, etc). Surely this isn't right. Shouldn't it be asking if I want to Install or Try them rather than providing an update?
If I go ahead and update will it start charging me more? Its a bit confusing!

I installed all the updates, including the CC 2014 programs. I am not being charged for them. However, they are not updates to the other programs. I now have 2 versions of all my CS6 programs installed on my computer. The CC 2014 programs are now default, for some reason, and when I open them they ask me if I want to start a free trial or if I want to put in a license code. My CS6 code doesn't work, obviously, but I tried anyway. I'm a little annoyed that this was offered to me like it was an update for my programs, even though it wasn't. And if I uninstall them, I am afraid that it is going to tell me that I have "updates" and try to install these programs again.

File Association conflict between CS6 and CC 2014

I have both CS6 and CC2014 loaded on my computer.
I want to use CS6 for file associations, but I am being prevented from doing so by CC2014 which pre-emts CS6 and blocks me from changing file associations for .jpg files etc. in Windows 7. How do I fix this?

Are you sure? I just had a quick look, and by taking the usual route or right clicking a JPG and choosing Open With > Choose Default program, I was able to browse to the pre 2014 version of Photoshop, and assign it. I don't have CS6 installed at the moment, but I can't think why it shouldn't work the same way.

Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop 2014 CC -- Do I delete CS6 from my system?

I have owned Photoshop since version 3.0 and have always kept it up to date. When the subscription version of Creative Cloud became available, I switched to that and the CC kept my CS6 version up to date. Now, CC has it's own version, but continues to show that it is updating my CS6 version. I do understand the differences between 2014 CC and CS6...so that is not my question.
My questions are,
Should I, at this point, be deleting all my CS6 software from my computer even though I own these versions?
Is any of my licensing tied to the CC version?
Is there a value to keeping the CS6 versions?

CS6 and CC and CC 2014 are all separate, independent applications and can reside on the same computer. If you used CS6 to upgrade to CC, you don't need to keep CS6 installed, but you may need the serial key if you need to reinstall CC.
I would wait until you are absolutely sure that all works OK for you in the new version and that you don't need any of the removed features before uninstalling anything.

Different among Photoshop CS6, CC, CC 2014

I am having so much confusion of: Adobe Photoshop CS6, then Adobe CC, then Adobe CC 2014. Is Adobe CC 2014 latest version of Adobe Photoshop? Is there a comparison chart for the differences among these three?

Audition CS6 vs CC 2014 for podcast work (mac)

Here's what boils down to a financial question.
I'm going to be working on a podcast, that will be free and will never, ever earn any money.
I currently do not subscribe to CC - I understand Audition CC 2014 will cost me $20 a month, $240 yearly.
I have a friend who works for Adobe, and I may be able to get Audition CS6 for something like a one time $40
For the kind of work I'm likely to need to do (editing podcasts to make them sound good) is Audition CS6 likely to be good enough, or is there enough new stuff in CC 2014 to justify an ongoing yearly expense?
I've also looked at Audacity which honestly wasn't bad, but it lacks some functionality, and I think my workflow might be better with Audition.
So while I'd like to keep the cost down, I am willing to spend a little money if it will make my life easier and make it better to produce a quality podcast quickly.

Double Up - Photoshop CS6 and CC 2014

I have bought and installed Ps CS6 and have been using it since 17/3/2014. All is well. I have recently somehow got Ps CC 2014 as well. I do not use it, have no reason to now or in the future, and it is taking up 1.76 GB of space on my HD.
Can I uninstall the latter without causing any problems with the former? No shared files, for instance?

Color of PP Templates CS6 vs CC 2014

PP CC 2014 uses blue to show which panel is selected (e.g., Sequence vs Project vs Program, etc.). CS6 uses yellow. CS6 also uses light gray at the head/beginning of the timeline where it says Video 1, Audio 1, etc. CC 2014 uses blue. Is there any way to set these colors back to the way they were in CS6?

Upgrade CS6 to CC 2014

Hi,
I've several questions about the update.
I own the Adobe CS6 Master Collection.
I want to know if I'll upgrade the suite, I'll can continue tu use the CS6 products or if I'll be able to use only CC 2014 products?
Concerning subscription, is it only possible to take a subscription in the month, or is it possible to get the suite like CS6 and earlier versions for unlimited use?

Even if you upgrade your Creative Cloud license you will still be able to use your Master Collection CS6 individually.

InDesign CS6 to CC 2014 - upgrade surprises?

I was considering making the jump from CS6 to CC -- has anyone else made this upgrade? Did it really carry over your settings? Are there any major differences or learning curves that surprised you? How's the speed difference, especially navigating large documents or outputting PDFs? (using the latest retina MBP) I mainly use it for ad design and publications. I don't mind paying the yearly fee if the upgrade is worth it. But I hate to leave behind the last perpetual license and start renting software. Thanks for your advice.

I disagree, I see a lot of additional value in CC2014 over CS6 when it comes to the new footnote behavior (text wrapping), organizing colors in the same way as styles, improved tables.
Don’t forget the increased numbers of dictionaries included (ok, you could add languages since CS6).
Since the cloud you can also add languages of other versions as this will add functionality and menu items for ME or Asian languages in your primary version too. E.g. I have sometimes to print material with Hebrew or Arabic parts. (I don’t understand these idiomas, but I get text delivered from native speakers.) In the past I had to pay for specific plugins, to get this work, now I can do it without additional cost.
And there is a lot more of additional functionality with CC2014 I would really miss. But the new path with Illustrator and InDesign is now more improving the quality easier work less the flashy effects which are easy for the marketing team to talk about but often useless for power users.

In Summary: I consistently go back to Photoshop CS6 over Photoshop 2014 due to the way 2014 handles.
I am an advanced user and use Photoshop to create art from photographs for clients. Even though I know there are advanced features in 2014, every time I start a project in 2014, I end up completing it in CS6. These are the reasons why:
1. 2014 is just not as solid a product as CS6. I know that when I start something in CS6, I will be able to complete it. I am an artist, so bear with my descriptions, but 2014 feels and acts like you are sitting on a three-legged chair versus a four-legged version with CS6.
2. 2014 is not as stable. I rarely have CS6 crash, but 2014 has frozen several times and I have lost work, even with the auto-save on.
3. 2014's tools can switch from a normal tip to other types on a whim.
4. When cropping with 2014, I've had sides of the picture change. Hard to describe, but artistically, it's there. When I take the project into CS6 and crop it, there are no changes to the sides during cropping.
5. I have had times when I can't change to a specific font in 2014 and then come back to 2014 later and it will change.
Should I report these as bugs? How? Some are very difficult to describe and almost impossible to document in a way that your programming team could trace.
For the time being, I will continue to switch back and forth between 2014 and CS6 as I need; so, if you would please, continue to update CS6.
