CS6 Install and Reboot woes

I'm trying to install CS6 Beta to try it out and I initially get the following warning 'We've encountered the following issues' Installer has detected that a machine restart maybe pending. It's recommended that you quit the installer, restart your machine and try installing again'. Now I've tried that several times but the warning persists. I therefore chose to ignore it and CS6 seemed to have installed just fine. Only then I rebooted my PC (Win 7 64-bit) and the PC would start properly. The only solution was to run window's startup repair. This problem is reproducable each time I try to install CS6.
Anyone come across this?

We have performed limited testing of CS6 apps with XP service pack 2. I dont think you will get any installation issues however most of the apps may crash on launch. You may download the trial version of CS6 and test it on the XP SP2 machine before you purchase the software.The trial works for 30 days. However the recommended installation platform for XP is with SP3.

SAP MMC not showing SID after sap gui install and reboot of the server

Hi, after SAPGUI 7.10 install on our server and rebooting of the same, SAP MMC says u201CMMC could not create the snap-inu201D.
We are desperately trying to find a solution. We did the following: Uninstalled the gui.
1) Uninstalled the SAPMMC snap-in
2) Re-installed it with the sapmmc_2-20005866.msi.
3) This automatically created all the required dlls..especially the main ones ..sapmmc.dll, sapstartsrv.exe in c:\WINDOWS\system32
4) Copied librfc32.dll from a working system to c:\WINDOWS\system32 of the system that is having issues
5) Did the registry setup, by doing REGSVR32 sapmmc.dll, and further did sapstartsrv   -t and re-created the service with the following parameters:
    <SID>
    01
   START_D*_hostname
   .\SAPService<SID>
   Password:*****
6) All the services are up and running.
7) Also did a re-boot, just to check if the registry update needed it, for the changes to be active.
Still facing the same issue "SAP MMC could not create the snap-in"

Why would Dreamweaver CS5 become inaccessible on a Vista 64/SP2 system after install and reboot?

Here's the scenario:
1) I install a purchased, valid Dreamweaver CS5 instance on a machine running Vista 64/SP2
2) The installation goes perfectly -- no errors or warnings whatever. The proper startup menu items are created
3) I successfully launch Dreamweaver after install -- it works perfectly
4) I reboot
5) I try to re-launch DW
6) I get a bizzare system message saying 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.'
Note that my virus checker is Avast, and I cannot see that it has touched any of the Dreamweaver files, and further note that every other of the dozens of applications i have installed have installed and run perfectly.
What the heck is going on with Adobe Dreamweaver (Which, by the way, installed perfectly on another machine using this exact, same OS image -- i upgraded my hardware a while back)

I'm surprised you've never experienced this with other software installations. It's so typical of Windows' annoying UAC introduced in Vista. The first time you run software after reboot, you have to right click to run with admin level permission status so you can write to and save files on your HD which are necessary for the software to run on your system. Afterwards, Windows remembers and usually permits you to start the software normally.

I have PS CS6 installed on my computer, purchased PS CC, went to the available downloads, but I am confused as to how to download the CC Photoshop with the new features as it tells me I already have CS 6 installed,and I do not see any refrence to a CC Photoshop downoad, I would appreciate any direction as to how to download the PS CC that I have subscribed to.

As a Creative Cloud member, you're entitled to the Creative Cloud suite. (If you're Photoshop CC only, then you'll be eligible for Photoshop CC.)
Question or two for Nancy (or those in the know.):
a) You said: "But before you download & install the new CC, be sure the read the release notes, tech specs, etc...)"
These aren't posted yet, or are they? If so, whereabouts?
b) Do you know if the CC apps replace CS6 applications, or add them separately - like CS 5.5, CS 6 - in their own folders. Knowing these downloadble products, and I don't just mean Adobe, but Microsoft, Apple, etc. sometimes botch their downloads at first, I'd hate to be "Adobe-less."

CS6 Installing and Setting Up

I accepted the 30-day trial for CS6 and downloaded the program, but I haven;t been able to installs or set up this program. I get an error message saying "Uncheck the Use grphics Proessor check box in the Performance anel of the Preference dialog". How do I do this. My computer meets the system requirements of CS6, namely, I'm running Windows 7 using a 64 bit 2Ghz processor, 2 GB or RAM, more than 1 GB of available hard-dist space for installation, with 1024x768 display and minimum of 512MB of VRAM on a Dell Inspiron E1505 lap top.

Audigy 2 value and crash after installing and reboot

recently i bought the audigy 2 value model sb0400 sound card for the second time after i build myself a dream custom computer. Following installation i ran into a problem that reared its ugly head previously on my prior system that i eventually got so tired of trying to figure out that i returned the card. Whether i talk about the attempted installation on the old computer or the installation on the new computer there is one ever present problem of the computer crashing and not ever loading windows at all after installation. The installation of the drivers and bundled up software all appears to complete successfully prior to rebooting however when the comp is rebooted.........nothing a black screen appears instead of the windows xp loading which ends up never ever appearing. I would be very very greatful to anyone who might have a solution to this because in no way do i want to return the audigy card for the second time especially since absolutely everything i use in terms of sound is from creative 7. speakers and all.

Conflict with CS6 updater and CC updater?

I'm on Mac and last week started up my CC membership and installed most of the software. I also have CS6 installed and want to keep some of the apps around for now. Today I am getting the familiar icon in my menu bar for CS6 that there are 2 updates available, but when I click on it to go to the updater, it just opens the CC updater which shows everything up to date. So I don't know if I actually have an update or not.
IF the CC updater handles all the updates now for CC and CS6, how do I disable the CS6 service from running and popping up? IF it doesn't, how the heck am I supposed to get updates when I can't even see what updates are actually available??

Updating servers and reboot during MW

Hi.
Our main goal is to install software updates en reboot the server only during Maintenance Windows (MW) I’ve been searching the Internet but i’m stuck.
Software updates are installing and servers are waiting for reboot.
The setting are;Collection: MW is set to 03-04 hour
Server: Business hours are from 05-22 hour and software center\computer maintenance\only suspend software center ….ticked on
GPO: Automatic updates are disabled
ADR: tab User Experience\Deadline behavior\software installation ticked on and Device restart behavior\Supress Servers ticked on

If you want to install and reboot only during MW, then this is how your user experience tab should look like on a deployment:
If you want to install outside of MW but only reboot within MW, then check "Software Update Installation" checkbox. Your updates would then install on deadline you have scheduled (which might be outside of MW) but reboot only within MW you have
set.

I have Adobe Creative Suite CS6 installed on two computers. One of the two computers experienced a catastrophic failure. The hard drive is damaged and the computer will not boot. So now I only have access to CS6 on one computer. I would like to install CS6 on a new computer so that I have two working computers each with an installation of CS6. How do I do this and activate both installations? I tried calling Adobe but the only number I have to troubleshoot problems is for Creative Cloud problems only. Any way to contact a live person at Adobe would be appreciated. Any other solutions would also be appreciated..

Nope, you can install it on your new computer with no issues. The disc contains both the 32 and 64 bit versions.
