CS6 Installation problem

I was having difficulty installing the adobe CS6.  I was on a chat with technical support (Adobe) and the individual told me to create a new foler on my C: drive and install there.  The program does not work and I do not know how to uninstall it.  Help please...

  • CS6 Installation Problems

I now purchased the CS6 Design & Web Premium (new CDs in the box with license). When I tried to install, Illustrator & Dreamweaver did not install. Instead, I received the error messages and warnings below.
I went to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html , but I am afraid that if I "Download installers for older products", this will cause problems with the licensed installation, or I will have to buy something which was supposed to be in the product I activated ( such as http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html ).
Perhaps I should run the installation disk again?
Thank you very much! sdkplan at g mail

  • Photoshop CS6 Installation problem

I am trying to install the CS6 trial but I can't get it to install, I have the same issue everyone else is getting where it says there is a pre-existing copy installed because I had the beta... I uninstalled the beta using windows uninstaller and then when I got the error message about a pre-existing copy I triedd to manually delete existing files and folders... When this didnt work I searched google for a solution and everyone said that using the Adobe creative suite cleaner tool will get rid of any existing files and allowed them to continue with the install... However, even after doing that I am still getting the error message... I couldnt find a similar problem anywhere and I dont know what to do? PLEASE help me D:
P.S. I apologise if I posted this in the wrong place, this whole thing is rather confusing...

  • Adobe premier pro cs6 installation problem.

Hi I am trying to install adobe premier pro cs6, In between my system got restarted once again i tried to install it but installation is coming in Chinese language, Before my system restart it is in English language, How to get installation in English?, Urgent help needed thanks in advance.

If you're saying the system crashed during the install, it might be a good idea to sort that out before installing PP, if only because sorting that out could potentially lead to a full rebuild of Windows.

  • CS6 Installation Problem Pre Existing Version

So whenever I have tried to install the trial version for CS6 after I've downloaded the setup it says there is a pre existing version of the program. I've search the computer though and there is nothing CS6 on the mac. Already have the serial number just having issues getting the program to install. Any suggestions for this problem I really could use some help.
    Thanks

Did you have the trial or pre-release version previously installed on your computer?  Have you checked your Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers to see if there is any additional options for software to be removed?

  • CS6 installation problems all day

My installation of CS6 Design Standard has failed over and over on my new Windows 7 computer.  I do not have old versions of anything installed.  I have run the cleaner tool.  I have tried it 11 times.  I get either a counterfeit error or an exit code 6 (and accompanying error list)  I am at my wits end.  This has been going on all day.  At one point, Illustrator installed, and then in searching online for a solution it was suggested to uninstall and reinstall, and now I'm back to nothing.  I see that there are a number of people who have had similar issues - I have been diligent in trying solutions, and I am getting nowhere.  Do i have to give up on CS6 on this computer?

  • Dreamweaver CS6:  Installation disk won't allow a change in the location of the installation folder

First, I hope the moderators will cut me some slack for making a duplicate posting.  The comments below were posted in the "Creative Suites" community.  I just noticed that there is a "Dreamweaver" community.  I feel the issues I've raised below are more relevant to the latter.
I recently purchased a Dreamweaver CS6 installation disk and have a valid registration code.  The Adobe website has recognized this code as valid.
I started-out  by having the installation disk install into a folder on a high capacity (0.5 tb) external drive.  This was done while my Gateway PC was still working properly.  I did a duplicate installation onto this hard drive (into a separate folder) to accommodate any work I wanted to do on a Dell laptop I also own.  For a few days things seemed to work ok on both computers.  Then the cursor on my Gateway stopped moving.  Several changes of mice failed to resolve the problem.  I've written-off my Gateway as "dead."  However the Dreamweaver CS6 installation MAY (I can't remember) be on a "local" folder on my Gateway and I am concerned I will have trouble installing Dreamweaver on the replacement I've purchased.  I understand one is limited to 2 installations.  If needed, can I purchase a license for a third installation?  And what might that cost?
After turning-off my Gateway I then went to my Dell laptop to try to work with Dreamweaver there.  I felt it was best to install on a "local" folder so I deleted all the Dreamweaver software from the folders on my external drive.  Unfortunately the installation disk is still "pointed" to the folders on my external drive.  To make matters worse I am now getting an error message which indicates I need to install into a folder on the "local" drive of my Dell laptop.  But the installation disk won't allow me to change the path.  On the installation disk the "path" to my external drive is faded-out and it will not allow me to delete and type-in a new path.
I've spent what, to me, are big bucks on this Dreamweaver disk.  It's the only website building software that seemed to get consistently good reviews. However, for me, Dreamweaver is becoming a nightmare!  I'm very much of a novice at website building.  I don't know how, in the world, I will be able to a)  Create something, and then  b)  Get Dreamweaver to put it onto what is now a blank webpage.  I recently got "Dreamweaver CS6 The Missing Manual" and "Dreamweaver CS6 For Dummies."  So far I haven't been able to find anything, in either of these two books, which addresses the issues I've raised here.
    Somebody--please help!!
Don't know if my screen name will show up.  So my name is JACK, near Old Faithfull.

Have you tried calling Adobe Customer service? They can deactivate one of your installations so that you can install and run on a new system. And perhaps they can help with your other problem, or send you to a tech support rep who can.
With regard to your use of DW, I'd strongly suggest that you take advantage of this downtime by learning as much HTML and CSS as you can absorb. Multiple sittings would be helpful. The more you know about those two, the easier DW will be for you when you eventually get it going.

  • How to solve Error DW030 during CS6 installation (Mavericks)?

This computer (running Mac OS 10.10.1) needs a way to install Acrobat from the CS6 DVD.
The CS6 installation went well except for Acrobat, where it gave error DW030. Unfortunately, following the instructions to reboot in Safe Mode deleted the detailed error message.
Running the installer again reports this:
    We've encountered the following issues
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
    Too bad! That page says:
The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued
Is there any way to recover from this? Is it safe to delete the whole thing and try again?

That excerpt was the best error in the log. Following is the entire section of the log that contains the error. The content of the log that precedes this is a long inventory of those adobe products installed ("Updating media sources"), but nothing earlier than this contained the word "error" until the section in the earlier posting. To make the log easier to see, I have highlighted all the words with "error".

  • Adobe CS6 installation is very slow if internet access is blocked

    Hi,
I noticed that our Adobe CS6 installations (using an AAMEE package) were surprisingly slow (as in five hours on a fast machine).  I've worked out the cause of the problem, and am posting it here in the hope that it will help someone else experiencing the same issue - also, if anyone from Adobe is reading this, it would be nice to get it fixed, at least for future releases. :-)
The problem is that our machines don't have direct access to web sites on the internet, i.e., port 80 traffic is blocked by the external firewall.  I discovered that the CS6 installer was repeatedly attempting to contact various web sites, including crl.verisign.net, presumably in order to validate digital certificates on files in the install package.  Each such attempt had to time out before the next was made.  Configuring Windows Firewall to block these attempts reduced the install time from five hours to thirty minutes.
On Windows 7, this command can be used to install a firewall rule that will block outgoing port 80 traffic:
    netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="block www" dir=out action=block protocol=tcp remoteport=80
Once installation is finished, this command will remove the rule:
netsh advfirewall firewall delete rule name="block www"

For later versions (Adobe CC and onwards) you need to block port 443 as well as port 80.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 setup problems

I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS6 and are having some minor issues with setting up a site as well as with certain views.
Site Setup: (first I will explain how I use DW)
I keep all of my customer and my own company sites on an external USB drive in folders named [#Customer sites] and [#Company Sites] respectively. The naming convention is really there just to keep these at the top of the directory listing as access them frequently (the # symbol has never caused any issues with CS3 or previous versions by the way).   I do not ever connect to a remote server nor use any of the built in FTP features in DW as I find they too easily corrupt live websites with the check in/check out feature.  So, each website runs 100% on my local computer (with connections to remote DB servers if necessary).  I have Win7 Ultimate with IIS installed and running and localhost brings me to the IIS7 page as expected (so we can dispel any issues with IIS).  I always set up my testing server to be Local/Network and preview in browser has always worked in the past with no issues.  AS far as moving content to the live servers, I have and always will use a separate FTP client for that (never let DW anywhere near FTP)
    1) The first thing I noticed after setting up a site is that moving files around (images, CSS, js files), DW will not update any of the links in base files like contact, index, etc.  I have removed, re-setup over and over and still no luck here.  I do get the prompt to update but it only ask to update links in [ / ] with no file names.  This is one of the primary reasons I use DW is that I can update links throughout an entire site but CS6 is not working for me here.
    2) Next thing I noticed is that for whatever reason I cannot get 'Live' view to work on even the simplest of web pages.  I get a message that states:  "Dreamweaver could load the file "M:\". The system reported the error: M:\ contains an incorrect path..".   Again, I have re-checked the setup, the paths in the site definition and all are pointed to the correct location.
I built a simple Fluid Grid page to test feature... here are the relevant site definition settings:
    Site name:  FluidTest
    Local Site Folder:  M:\#COMPANY SITES\FluidTest\
    Server name: Local
    Connect using:  Local/Network
    Server Folder:  M:\#COMPANY SITES\FluidTest
    Web URL: http://localhost/fluidtest
Note that I was able to get the Preview in a Browser feature to work once I created a virtual directory under the 'Default Web Site' in IIS but cannot get this to work when I just create it as a new website.  Seems localhost only wants to run under the Default website.   Thought about manually turning sites on and off in IIS but should not need to do this with Win7 as IIS is supposed to be able to handle multiple websites.  I will likely figure out a work around this annoyance.... just though I would mention it as it is somewhat in context.
    Fluid Grid Layout annoyance:
I am sure I am missing a setting somewhere but after creating my simple FluidTest website, I cannot see the Pink Columns in the Grid layout.  After uninstalling CS6, removing all traces of Adobe, and re-installing CS6 I still have this issue.  I have enable all the Visual Aid settings [ View --> Visual Aids ] and still the Pink Column grid is not visible in any of the layouts for mobile, tablet, or Desktop.  Anyone with a solution, please enlighten me.

I know you've used it in the past, but that # symbol is pretty suspicious to me.
Generally speaking DW, and the internet, hate special characters in file paths. Have you tried without it yet?
If you have, and it still doesn't work, I'd reinstall using the Cleaner Tool...
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Adobe can be contacted here: Contact Customer Care
Depending on the time of day, and availability, you may or may not get a Chat feature after narrowing down your question's category and clicking on the blue "Still Need Help" button. You should see a location specific phone number no matter what, once you've gotten to the big blue button mentioned above.

  • Photoshop CS6 installation failure Mac

I keep getting the installation failure error on my newly-purchased CS6 installation that I downloaded off the internet.  It is fatal error "Exit Code: 34".  I uninstalled all the previous versions of Photoshop that I had, including trial versions, and close all the programs when installing this, but the problem persists.  Seems like the same issue as in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4371324 but no answer or solution is provided there.  Can anyone help please?

    Troubleshoot with install logs
If it hangs on the fonts, you wil lhave to manually remove the Adobe fonts from previous versions.
