CS6 Master Suite compatibility Issues

I have the installed version of CS6 Master Suite running OSX 10.9.5 on an older MacBook Pro . I wondered if it is compatible with OSX Yosemite? I am reluctant to upgrade. I am not ready for Adobe Cloud yet.

CS6 Master Suite install issue- An incompatible Flash Builder 4.6 has to be unloaded

But it does not exist???
On installing Master Suite CS6 "flash builder" cannot be activated to be installed.
When placing the curser over it the following message is displayed:
A conflict or pre release version of Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 exists on this compluter. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media.
Problem - There is no version 4.6 on this computer to be unistalled!
Any suggestions on what to do next?

1.Use the Adobe Creative suites Cleaner tool to remove any trace left of Flash builder

2.Restart machine, Try installing again
Ensure you have complete administrator privileges and right click on the exe and choose "Run as Administrator" while installing, ensure the directory you are writing to has write access for your user.
if it still does not work
3. Uninstall Flash Builder 4.6 using Creative Suites uninstaller
4. Repeat Step 1 and restart machine, download the Standalone installer at
https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_builder
and install, this should install it, and would take the Serial number from Creative Suites automatically.

CS6 Master Suite Trial Issues Getting Started

Hi,
I am both a Macbook andCS newbie ;-)
I've had a nightmare first downloading the Adobe CS Download Assistant and now the actual software.
It has put Adobe CS6 folders in my Finder, but they seem to be empty and I can't open them.
Can anyone help or suggest where else I may look for this?

Thanks Jeff, yes - they are in "newuser" but can't open them...it says "Open with Launchpad" as default but this just brings up everything in Launchpad (and the Adobe Download Assistant is in there but neither Launchpad or A.Asst help...can you suggest an alternative?

i own CS6 Master Suite and have uninstalled it from my current macbook pro.
now i would like to install it part (Ai, iD, Ps) on a work station i use from time to time.
it wont let me install, i get a message i have it on another computer and i need to un license or on register the machine?
cant seem to find any other solution other than enterprise....
i own my own software and own creative suites from CS3 - CS6 Master Collections.... and now subscribe to Adobe CC....
any thoughts?

Activation and Deactivation of Adobe CS6 Master Suite from a computer no longer needing an instalation or licence to use.
Uninstalling software does not deactivate it.

A single license for Adobe software lets you install the software on two computers. However, you can use the software on only one computer at any given time.
If you want to install the software on a third computer, deactivate the software on the computer on which you will no longer use the software. Then, activate the software on the new computer.
Uninstalling software does not deactivate it.
Please follow these steps, if there is any issue: call adobe
Step 1 - Launch the any CCM software on 3rd machine, it will give you 2 options “License this software” and “Start Trial” – Select “License this Software”.
Step 2 – Enter Adobe ID, password and Sign in.
Step 3 – Now you will get the prompt – Maximum Count Exceeded and you will get 2 button “License this Software” and “Continue” – Make sure you select“Continue”.
Step 4 - Enter Adobe ID, password and Sign in.
Step 5 – Now you get the prompt – Subscription Activation failed – Close the window
Step 6 – Launch the software again the click on “License this software” and sign in
ok... if you did not deactivate befor uninstalling and using the CS cleaning tool....
you need to chat with Adobe.... go to your adobe account...

Does anyone have any clue why my license for adobe CS6 Master suite stopped working. When prompted for providing a license key, I receive an error indicating "the serial number provided is not valid. Please try again. If the problem persist, contact Customer Support.

If the software was purchased as part of an educational discount program then the license might have been a temporary issue only. Check with the school.

Install JUST PS CS6 from CS6 Master Suite Collection Student/Teacher Edition (Digital)

I received the CS6 Master Suite Collection from my University (Digital Copy) and I only want to install Photoshop. I have the serial number for Master Suite CS6 but the serial does not work for JUST PS CS6. I can download PS CS6 but during the install it crashes after it gets through 100% of the install and it says the following items can not be installed and it shows the PS CS6 icon. What can I do to get this issue resolved?

I guess what I'm trying to say is unclear. I am using my wife's MacBook Pro. I have my MacBook Pro's Hard drive in an external sata enclosure. I have OS Lion 10.7.4 that I partioned 32GB from my main hard drive do I can use that OS.
I understand what everyone is saying about downloading MS to to another section hard drive and just running the installer on my Lion OS so I can just select PS CS6. If you look at the pictures above, you can see that I actually did just that and ran the PS CS6 installer. It webt through the entire process until the end and it kept crashing on me. I've used adobe cleaner but the only thing that was on my Lion OS was adobe air. I removed adobe air with the adobe cleaner and started from scratch. I also removed the corrupted files after every install.
I restarted a few times and ran into the same issue. I have figured out how to get into safe mode. After you hold option to bring up the OS you want to boot into, you hold shift before you press enter on your selection. I am in safe mode now. I have tried just installing the PS CS6 and it still crashes at the very end of the installaltion and shows this screen.

CS6 Master Suite problem with Photo shop

I have a new macbook pro ( mid 2012 ) and it has the intel core i5 processor. I just installed the CS6 Master Suite and everything works fine except for Photoshop. I get the message : You can’t open the application “Adobe Photoshop CS6” because it is not supported on this type of Mac. Any ideas? Thanks

Thank you for your response. Yes it meets all the system requirments. As a matter of fact I had I had this same software installed on another macbook exactly like this one and had no problem with it. That's why I just don't understand why I'm having trouble on this one.

Does anyone have problems installing CS6 Master Suite from a DVD on a Mac?

I'm trying to install the CS6 Master Suite on a mac that has OS X Moutain Lion on it. I keep getting an error message that the software can't be verified and that it may be counterfeit. I purchased the DVD from Adobe directly and it appears to have the proper paper work that signifies that it is a legal copy. I have been in contact with tech support and they tried to help but it didn't work. Also, Adobe certified the serial number so there isn't anything wrong with it. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks for the response. The only problem that I have with downloading the trial is that A) I have DSL internet connection and it is extremely slow when downloading such a large file. That is why I opted to get the DVD. Because my optical drive kept spitting out the DVD, it has a few scratches on it. Will this create problems if this problem is corrected in the future? Should I request a new DVD? Also, B) there are features in the Master Suite that are not included with the trial download. Once I have most of the other programs downloaded and installed, how can I get the other features in the full version of the Master Suite that are not included in the trial?

Downloading CS6 Master Suite when having a key but no media

I purchased a license for CS6 master suite thorugh my school. The directions given by my school was to download the trial version and then activate it using the key. That was fine until last weekend when I had to reformat my laptop. I have no media for this software. It was purchased on 1/19/13 not even 6 months. Anyway, the trial download for CS6 master suite is gone. I have read some of the forums and they route people to a Prodesigns tool website. I have followed the directions given there, and no success. I kepp on getting a denied access. I have tried to do so in both chrome and internet explorer, but I have no luck.
How can I download this software again?

You'll get a Denied Access error if you do not carefully follow the Very Important Instructions on the prodesigntools page before you click the download link.
Most people seem to stumble on steps 2 and/or 3.
I just tried downloading CS6 Master Collection from prodesigntools.com and it worked fine for me in Chrome and Firefox.

CS6 Master Suite Install Disks

I recently purchased CS6 Master Suite and would like to make a backup of the downloaded installer, it is 8.37 GB, file is too large for DVD R and my server. What other options are there for me to get multiple install disk for different departments at our school. Thank you for your help.

i would not recommend that. there are ways to package any large file into several chunks, but that's just adding more potential for problems.
harddrive space is so inexpensive even if purchased, it's not worthwhile. plus, many people have spare harddrives in unused computers that are easy to connect to a main computer and use as auxiliary storage.

Getting error- Cannot open as archive for CS6 Master suite collection. How to d/l & install?

I have an account and a license key code. I purchased a new laptop that doesn't have a dvd drive. I want to download CS6 Master Suite Collection but I keep getting error "cannot open as archive"!!! I have already located the d/l files, but they will NOT install. Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

if you downloaded an exe and 7z, they should both be in the same folder and click (or double click) the exe.
do NOT manually try to extract the 7z file.
if that doesn't solve your problem, what file names and extensions did you download and what are their file sizes?

No Photoshop extended in CS6 Master suite

Hi,
I've been scanning the internet for any help on this matter to no avail. I bought a copy of CS6 Design Standard a while ago and have now bought a copy of CS6 Master Suite, as I wanted the extended version of Photoshop as well as After Effects etc... I uninstalled my previous CS6 (standard) and reinstalled CS6 (master). The problem is, I'm not getting any 3D options in Photoshop, which should be included if it's the extended version. I've typed out some text that I wanted to be 3D & the 3D button at the top is missing. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I've looked at every tutorial that I can find, but none explain why I would be missing the 3D options in Photoshop (extended).
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Uninstalling is not necessarily going to deactivate the software from using your old serial number.
It might be as simple as going into the Help menu, chosing Deactivate..., then closing everything down, restarting Photoshop, and entering your new serial number.
The Standard and Extended software is one and the same, it only runs differently depending on the serial number entered.

Uninstall and then re-install Acrobat Pro with CS6 Master Suite

Hello,
I'm using Windows 8.1 and could not open pdfs (or indeed open Acrobat XI Pro at all). I have CS6 Master Suite, and I seem to recall Acrobat coming with that purchase, whether it's officially part of CS6 or not.
Forums suggested uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat. I've uninstalled but am now struggling to find where/how to re-install Acrobat from my account on Adobe.com.
Any pointers please?

Thank you very much for your answer - but the problem is that I went down that route to no avail.
I only have one serial number, and that's the one I got when I purchased CS6 Master Suite. Acrobat XI seemed to come as part of this.
But when I use my CS6 serial number, the Acrobat installer doesn't like it.
To my knowledge, I don't have any other serial numbers at my disposal.
Any ideas?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)
