all menus etc too small to read on laptop with qhd screen (3200 x 1800) Other software is all OK, just CS6 and a few others that cannot adapt. is there a solution?

Horizontal Menu Bar size changes (for some viewers)

I have set up my first horizontal menu bar (Using CS3) and was pretty proud of how far I got on my own. I have customized the colors, and have it centered on my page - all exactly what I wanted. I have viewed the site in a few different browsers (Explorer, Safari, Mozilla) and on 4 different computers and it looks good to me, however, when my client views the site (using Explorer as her browser) - the horizonatl menu bar does not fit on one line. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Am I going to have to customize the css for the size of the text on the menu bar or the overall size of the menu bar?

My compliments on a great looking site.
My experience is that browsers have different default values. What I tend to do to neutralize this by adding the following line at the top of the style sheet:
margin: 0; /* it's good practice to zero the margin and padding of all elements and tags to account for differing browser defaults */
padding: 0;
The net effect is that you must apply a CSS-rule to all of your HTML-tags such as <h1>, <h2>, etc.
This regime has saved me from many dillemmas such as the one you are now experiencing.

When I send an email from my Mac using Microsoft Outlook 2011 the font size changes when sent to a Windows computer. Some of the email is ok and then some lines of text are in a larger font size. How do I maintain consistency in font sizes from Mac to

This is a known issue when sending emails from Outlook for Mac to Outlook for Windows. This is caused by the pixel-to-point or point-to-pixel conversion that happens between the Mac and Windows operating systems. See:

I know how to increase page text size etc, but using (brown) Bible Fox theme, I can't increase the menu font size. Is there a way to do this?

You can try to increase the String pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 2.0 in 0.1 steps to see what works best. 
In Firefox 3.6 and later this pref is a String value parsed to a float and allows to fine tune the dimensions of all elements more precisely.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

need help for finding objects impacted by size change
for xxx infoobject, due to some requirements, the size to be changed from
char(4) to char(10), in the source database tables as well as adjustment
to be done in BI side.
this infoobject xxx is nav attribute of YYY as well as for WWW
infoobjects. and xxx is loaded from infopkg for www infoobject load.
now that i have to prepare an impact analysis doc for BI side.
pls help me with what all could be impacted and what to be done as a
solution to implement the size change.

You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
How to adjust tables :
Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
How to collect the changes in TR:
You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.

Menu font sizes in fluxbox & gnome

I'm using arch 0.5, with regular updates via pacman. In fluxbox every gtk 2.0 application [firebird, gaim etc] has a tiny menu font, but this same application, when opened in gnome, looks nice, that is its menu font has an appropriate size. How can I fix this? It's annoying because every font in gaim is rendered tiny and only through preferences it is possible to change the font size of the message windows, but not the size of the input font in the editor. So most of the time I can't see what I'm typing. I've noticed the same font size change with slackware as well.

OK, let's be more precise. This method works for gaim and other gtk2 apps, but it didn't work for firebird. Here the menus keep being tiny in fluxbox. I've searched for an option regarding fonts' size via "about:config" in addressbar of firebird, but either there is none [regarding menu] or I was blind for it.
And then, the preferred font appears rather large in gnome, that is every time I switch over to gnome, I have to edit the ~/.gtkrc-2.0, decreasing the font size. Then, when switching over to fluxbox again, I have to increase the font size to it's previous value. But not everything can be perfect, so let it be so.

New user of Mountain Lion. I find that when I attach a URL as a link to Mail 6.0. The font and font size changes!!!!

I have a problem with either Mountain Lion, Safari or Mail 6.0.
When I try to attach a URL as a link that is taken from Safari to mail 6.0 the font and font size changes!!!!!
It changes from comic sans 24 to heltvekia 12!!!! What the heck is going on??????

Before you do that I must warn you that also with PC is the same.
It's not the hardware nor the software that makes the difference, because e-mail must obey to certain rules that is RFC.

Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.

Preventing scrollbars appearing when font size changes

Hi,
I have a Panel container (relative layout with now height/width specified) containing text which has its font size determined at runtime from an external stylesheet. In my application, the user has the option to change font size (ie. load a separate external stylesheet). The problem is, whenever larger font sizes are chosen, horizontal and vertical scroll bars keep appearing within my panel container. I do not want this at all, I want the panel to resize!
I've tried almost everything, including:
Calling "validateNow()" when font size changes
Launching a resize event when font size changes
Overriding the updateDisplayList method of Panel and trying to set the height and width to the newly measured height and width.
None seem to be effective. It is as if the Panel does is not able to calculate the new size when the font size changes.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
