CS6 New Document - Units and Increments - Ruler Units Defaulting Back to Picas
After setting the Units and Increments prefs to inches, InDesign defaults back to picas when creating a new document. Any suggestions? Should I rebuild my prefs? Or should I just give up and revert to my conversion chart from school?
Make the change with no files open.

New document type can be configured in SPRO - SAP IMG- Material management - Purchasing - Purchase order - Define number rabges / define document types.
With out service master straightaway you can create the Service PO with account assigment.
AC03 - Create service master record.
ML10 - Model service specifications
Then Service conditions ML33 or ML39 or ML45
Create the PO and then do the service entry in ML81N

I got my Imac and Trackpad in may so its new and the batterys have run out on the trackpad, so i have put new batterys in and its not even turning back on i have tried the batterys the other way round ( i used duracell) and still not working, so i put the old batterys in and it still wont turn on. I am getting so angry woth apple things, the make it sound better than it is and over pice it, i paid over a grand for my imac and it dont even come with a cd SLOT. Please can some one help!
Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
My original laptop that I started my Itunes library with was stolen last summer. I have a new laptop now and would like to go back to my old library and see all my old music. How can I do that?

every time I open a new safari page and scroll down it jumps back to the top of the page. Happens super inconsistently and not on every web page. Tried all the dum dum moves like restarting computer and changing scroll direction in track pad. Anyone else have a similar issue? mac book pro, newest version of OSX. Thanks all!
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support. -
Truly dumb question. How do I get PS to actually complete a command, eg straighten an horizon, and finalise the change. Even doing a "save as" with a new file name and reloading brings the image back, straightened, but with the skewed back ground frame still there. Is there a "apply change" or similiar command that I simply cannot see.

PSE did what you told it to do. Choose the Straighten and crop edges or fill edges options when you use the straighten tool if you want it to do more than just straighten the contents of the image. Many people prefer the plain straighten because they'd rather crop themselves than let PSE do it. -
New document units.. Inches not pixels
Hallo
How do I make it so a new document in Photoshop uses Inches as its units instead of pixels? I have it set to inches in the preferences -> units & rulers but every time I make a new document it defaults to pixels for the dimensions. Is there a way to make that default to inches?

JEvery new document has measurements in inches/cm or pixels.
In the New dialog just change the units to what you want.
If you choose "Custom" the options stick for next time. -
New Document - sizing and color profile
I am using Photoshop CS6 13.0.1 x64 and I can't seem to get the settings for a new document to stick.
When I make a new document my color profile never matches my color settings (RGB: Adobe RGB (1998); CMYK: U.S. Sheetfed Coated v2; Convert to Working RGB; Convert to Working CMYK; Ask when opening), it always is reset to sRGB. Also, when I create a new document it doesn't seem to remember either what I used last or what is in my clipboard - it always resets to 1 x 67.
Is there some hidden setting I'm missing?Short standard answer: If prefs don't stick, you have permissions issues. Verify your user privileges and file permissions on the prefs folder.

Using a PDF as a Document Template in SharePoint 2010: "New Document" icon and action
Hi,
I have to create a document template in SharePoint 2010 using a PDF. After much searching I have learned to install Reader on the SharePoint server to bring in AcroPDF.dll
and set the OpenControl for PDFs in DOCICON.xml to be "AdobeAcrobat.OpenDocuments".
After taking these steps I can check PDFs in and out of SharePoint, and edit PDFs as I would edit an MS Office document.
However two problems remain with creating new documents based upon a PDF document template.
1) The PDF icon does not appear in the New Document dropdown. This makes sense since I never referenced a 32x32 icon in the SharePoint config files. Where would I place the icon image file and which configuration file would I edit to use that image file, and how?
The last three document templates are PDFs.
The second problem I face is that when I click one of the document templates above that is a PDF, nothing happens. I have tried this with Acrobat installed on both the client and the server. It would be preferable to insert a copy of the PDF document used as a template without having to use Acrobat at all.
Is there any resolution to either of these problems?According to what i found the image needs to be 16x16.

Edit the DOCICON.XML file to include the PDF icon
In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\XML
Edit the DOCICON.XML file (I open it in NotePad, you can also use the built-in XML Editor)
Ignore the section <ByProgID> and scroll down to the <ByExtension> section of the file
Within the <ByExtension> section, insert a <Mapping Key=”pdf” Value=”pdficon_small.gif” /> attribute. The easiest way is to copy an existing one – I usually just copy the line that starts <Mapping Key=”png”… and replace the parameters for Key and Value (see image below for example).
Note: Do not take shortcuts and copy/paste from here. 99% of problems with PDF icons not being displayed are due to errors made in the DOCICON.XML file
Save and close the file

Use a pdf as a document template, New Document icon and action
I am looking to use an editable pdf as a new document template for a content type. I uploaded the pdf successfully, but when I select the new document from the template options, it attempts to open the pdf, and then provides the error message:

The document could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the template for this document library cannot be opened.
Please try the following:
1. Check the General Settings for this document library for the name of the template, and install the application necessary for opening the template. If the application was set to install on first use, run the application and then try creating a new document
again.
2. If you have permission to modify this document library, go to General Settings for the library and configure a new template.

I have already setup the docicon.xml with the following entry for pdf's:

PDF's are behaving appropriately throughout the environment, but I am unable to get the 'New Document' from a pdf template functioning. Does this capability exist?

Jesse A. BrandenburgFor Content Types, it only recognizes Office document types. In order to add PDFs, you would need to build a custom solution or purchase a 3rd party product (such as http://www.pdfshareforms.com/pdf-share-forms-enterprise/).

New Document: # pages and start page?
I am starting a new document, the beginning of what will be a 180 page ebook. In terms of the start page, do I use that to allow pages for my cover, title page, toc, etc.?
Or can I just start with page one and insert pages later for the toc and all?Consider using the InDesign Book feature (File > New > Book...) with your document. This feature allows you to manage multiple InDesign documents, sync styles, inks, etc. and other controls.
I have a long document book consisting of:
Cover
Main TOC document listing chapters and appendix
10 Chapters (with chapter level TOC)
Appendix of terms chapter
The book allows for managing page numbers across the documents, the multiple TOC for each chapter (the chapter level TOCs do not pick up the Paragraph styles of the other chapters, whereas the main TOC is designed to search each document of the book), packaging, printing and exporting of the entire book, etc.

IOS Pages & Keynote - New Document spins and that's all...
On both iPad and iOS, my Pages and Keynote applications have started hanging, when trying to open a new template - even blank! I have removed the applications and reinstalled. It clearly is fresh, since I have to reload documents and reinitiate the iCloud choice. But the new document behavior has not changed.
It just spins....Looks like it's an iCloud problem. I turn that off, it goes away.

BBP_BS_GROUP_BE for new document type and number range
Hi gurus,
I am working on Classic scenario in SRM and currently have used the above BADI to use a different document type and number range when creating the PO in the backend system. It all works fine. The only thing is I noticed that the BE_DOC_TYPE field in the shopping cart is still reflected as 'EC' even though the PO created in ECC is for example EC1. My question: Is this standard SRM? If so, is it common to leave this field as it is or is it advisable for us to change the document type to EC1 as well? Also, is there any implication in standard SRM reporting and downstream processes that you are aware of?
Appreciate any advice on the above.

The time capsule was used with my prior Mac Pro laptop that unfortunately had the home vault active on it.
My new Mac Book Pro does not have home vault open. But I am unable to back up my new MAC pro laptop because it says there is not enough storage space available. Therefore, t there any way to just completely delete all the old backup data out of my Time Capsule from my prior Mac Laptop?
When I go into the time capsule - it shows me NOTHING as being in the backup datas. So, I don't know where to begin to delete all the old data off the

Here is how to do this:
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Disks icon at the top of the AirPort Utility window
Click the Disks tab below the icons
Click Erase
The "Quick Erase" option will only take a moment or two
Now you can backup your MacBook Pro. If you connect an Ethernet cable from the MBP to one of the LAN <-> ports on the TC, the first backup will go 3-5 times faster than wireless.
Once you have the first backup done, you can use wireless for subsequent backups since they will only take a few minutes -

Well, I don't know how you made the backup nor how you restored the backup. However, you don't put an entire backup on to the Desktop.
I suggest you do the following:
Open Users & Groups preferences. Click ont the lock icon and authenticate with the admin password you are currently using. Click on the Add [-] button and create a new account named "temp" (no quotes) and give the account admin status. Assign any password you want (but assign a password.)
Log out of the account you are using and log into the new, temp, account. Open Users & Groups preferences, click on the lock icon. Authenticate with the password you used for "temp." Select the other user account (not the one named Guest) and click on the Delete [-] button. Select the third removal option and click on the OK button.
Connect your backup drive. Open Migration Assistant in the Utilities folder. Select the option to migrate from another Mac or connected hard drive or select the option to restore from a Time Machine backup if TM was used to back up your old computer. Restore your old Home folder, third-party applications and support files, and system preferences per instructions in Migration Assistant.
After the migration has completed (will take several hours) log out of "temp" and log into your newly migrated account. Open Users & Groups preferences. Click on the lock icon and authenticate with your normal account's password. Select the "temp" account, click on the Delete [-] button. Select the third option and click on the OK button.
You should now have just one user account. The one migrated from your old computer.
