CS6 not opening

Since receiving Adobe's invitation to join Creative Cloud, today, I can't get passed the offer and open CS6; when I decline the offer it also halts process of opening CS6. Am I alone with this problem?

I've had an Adobe account for some time and I've owned a copy of CS6 since its release and its installed on both my machines. What happened was very odd in that the Adobe 'flyer' re Creative Cloud just would not allow me to get into CS6; it insisted that I had to accept the trial offered before I could use the programme, which was very frustrating. In the end I seem to have accepted a trial for CS6 Extended, but I'm not sure how I did that but at least I'm now able to use CS6 again. Just hope it doesn't result in more problems when the trial reriod expires. Thanks for your help anyway - clearly this was no more than a glitch limited to me!!

Why is Bridge CS6 not opening images in PS CS6?

Recently, Bridge has stopped opening pictures in Photoshop CS6. Each time I try the screen signals that Photoshop has to close down. However, I can open the pictures in ACR 7.4, but again, those images will not open in Photoshop. If I use the Mini Bridge in Photoshop, everything works fine, It seems there is a problem in the link from Bridge CS6 to Photoshop CS6.Any thoughts?

Photoshop CS6 not opening files from Lightroom 5.6

On my mac I updated to Lightroom 5.6. Now it will not open the file in Photoshop CS6 using the "Edit it Photoshop" option. Anyone know how to work around this? I do not want to "render in lightroom" each time. Thanks!

There used to be a weird bug where this didn't work when there was an accented character (like ø, ä, etc.) somewhere in the path to the file, in the filename itself or in the metadata, the file simply wouldn't open in CS3. Don't know if that ever was fixed, but might be something to check.

LR4 to CS6 not opening image.

Right clicking on image in LR4, then selecting open with CS6. CS6 program starts fine, but no image? If I select CS5, it works fine.
Also, I tried a workaround, by exporting the file to my desktop (DNG). Right clicking on the image, and selecting CS6, again will not open the image? If I open CS6, then Menu>file>open, all files are greyed out until I select "all documents" in the enable menu?

My posting is based on my experience with my main computer (MAC tower pro) at home. but I also have a mac book pro that i use for work/travel. this also has CS5, LR4 and CS6, and when i tested this when I got in the office this mornig, it worked fine - no problems.
i think when I get home this evening, i'll r-install CS6 and see if that works. for the record, my macbook is running:
LR4.1RC with CR7.0
CS5 12.0.4 with CR 6.6.0.261
CS6 13.0 with CR 7.0.0.308

CS6 not opening in CS5 color books error

When I save a PhotoShop CS6 file, the computer we still have running CS5 will not open the file. The error message is... "Could not complete your request because the specified color book cannot be found." What are the work arounds for this?

There was not a PMS color channel but there was an alpha channel. I deleted the channel and had them open the file in CS5 and it opened fine.

Why is my Illustrator cs6 not opening files.

I'm having a issue with Illustrator not opening files (eps or ai) either from the server or my desktop, opening original from Indesign, double clicking a file or from the menu 'open file'. I have to end up quitting Illustrator, then open the file from one of the methods above. Same days it all works fine then other days it doesn't. Quite confusing.
I've uninstall then reinstall Illustrator previously and it seemed to work fine for a while then it started doing it again.
And I've tried finding the info on the forums for Illustrator. If its there please point me to the right place.

Mac running OS X 10.9
10GB of Ram

Here is a list from easy to serious (note the Cleaner Tool as part of uninstalling and reinstalling in 6), and you may have some disturbance from other applications, see the usual suspects in Item 7) in 5), and 1) - 2) may be the first ones to try, before 3) and/or 4) ):
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Fireworks CS6 not opening files

Hi,
I installed the trial version of CS6 (Mountain Lion) the other day and created some files, the same files opened for me on another computer using CS5 (Mountain Lion) whilst I was waiting for the full version to get installed onto my Mac.
For some reason now the files are either corrupt or not opening (Could not complete your request, an error has occurred or unknown file type).
The only difference between the two installations of CS6 is that I only downloaded the trial version of individual products and now I've installed the whole master suite.
Please help!!

I am able to open files again after restarting Fireworks (Fireworks CS6 on OSX Mountain Lion). Pretty scary bug though, I really don't like the feeling of not being able to open any of my source files--files that have multiple pages worth of work that I would never be able to retrieve with another program.
Where is Adobe in this discussion?? Is Fireworks going to be made more stable?
How I feel about Fireworks right now is not great. I look really unprofessional when people ask me for something and my response is... "Sorry, my files seem to be corrupt let me just take 30 minutes to figure out what's wrong"

Adobe Bridge CS6 Not Opening

I recently installed the trial version for Photoshop CS6. Prior to this, I have had Photoshop CS2 installed on my computer. Before installing CS6, I uninstalled CS2.
Now, Bridge CS6 will not launch when I click on it. The cursor will show that it's working, but then it will stop and nothing will happen. I did some research and found that this error occurs whenever Bridge CS2 has been previously installed. I tried what was suggested (create an empty folder in C:\Users\[user name]\App Data\Roaming\Adobe\), but that did not work for me from this topic:

Also, my OS is Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

Do you have CS5 installed? If so Bridge is probably running in the background. Open Task Manager and look in Processes Tab for Bridge.exe and close.

Photoshop CS5 and CS6 not opening after Windows 7 update

I have my Mac on repair so I have to use Photoshop on a very old Windows 7 laptop of mine (the first PS licence I bought was for PS CS4 Win then extended to CS5 during grace period)
It always worked fine (slow but fine ) since today. I was updating a couple of softwares (Intuos + Spyderpro) and I have been asked to restart my computer to make the updates effective. I've noticed that Windows during the restart was updating itself as well and I said "well, ok!" and let it go. But once my computer had restarted I couldn't open PS CS5 anymore. Desperate I went to the Adobe trial pages and downloaded CS6 but it doesn't work as well. I tried to repair some log errors via CC cleaner and delete PS preferences from its folder but no luck. I don't know what else to do. Bridge works fine. I don't understand what happened and how to solve it.

My first inclination was to recommend just reinstalling, but since you said you did a new install of CS6 and that isn't working either I'm not sure if that would help. The user preferences was also a great thing to try.
These might be some other general suggestions for good next steps:
- Try launching with right-click Run as Administrator
- Create a new administrative account, log out of your current one, and attempt launching from there
- See if you get the same behavior if launching while in a Selective Startup

- Uninstall any changes you made since it stopped working, you should be able to uninstall the Windows update from within Programs and Features, uninstall the Intuos + Spyderpro temporarily to rule them out

Premiere CS6 not opening in OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks.

Hey guys. I'm so tired at this point...I spent almost two working days trying to make AE and Premiere work after updating OS X yesterday to 10.9.1.
AE works, but Premiere CS6 doesn't even open. It starts but then I get the beach ball and after several minutes it crashes. I don't know what elese to do. I've done every "trick" I've seen in previous posts but the same keeps happening.
Here are some of my MBP especifications:
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
The Premiere version I have is 6.0.0.

Also... is there some specific reason you have not updated your CS6?
And... 10.9 is not supported (at least for Encore, and I would guess the same for PPro) as described in the FAQ

CS6 not opening, "program error"

I'm running CS6 on OSX 10.9.2. It was working just fine last week, then I think I updated it. Now, when I try to open Photoshop, I immediately get the message "Could not complete your request because of a program error". Here's the text in the error log file, with a line like this corresponding to every time I tried to open the program:
2014:03:03 19:24:21 : /Volumes/workarea/PS_13_Mac_Daily_Retail/20120315.r.428/photoshop/main/photoshop/xcode/.. /framework/sources/UMenuMgr.cpp : 1375 : REQUIRE failed
I updated OSX and all of my Adobe programs, tried Adobe Support Advisor, and tried deleting the preference files, no luck. Any thoughts?

That error means that some of the require menu resources are missing.
And that could be due to a failed update.
Unfortunately the only good way to solve it is to uninstall the app, then reinstall.
Use the uninstaller in the Photoshop CC directory.

Illustrator CS6 not opening my previous files

I'm using AI CS6 on a mac.
Yesterday I opened an older file (CS5), made some changes and saved the file
Today I want to continue to work on this file, but I'm not able to open my files anymore.
I get the spinning wheel, and that's it. AI doesn't respond anymore.

AE CS6 not opening on Mavericks after update

Hi,
Just bought new MBP and it has Mavericks on it. I have installed my Production Premium CS6 and all apps are running great except AE. I have applied all the updates that Adobe have released but i still can't get it to open. I just get an error saying "The Application "Adobe After Effects CS6" can't be opened - 10810".
I have unistalled and reinstalled it and applied the update agin but still can't get it to work! I have also enabled Root User on my account.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

CS6 not opening because ExporterQuicktimeHost.bundle issue. Adobe QT32 Server seems to be the issue

I am currently very frustrated with a CS6 issue. For no apparent reason (no update, change or new software) Premier, AfterEffects and Media Encoder all stall while opening on ExpoerterQuicktimeHost.bundle. It seems it is directly related to codecs and Adobe QT32 Server. If i remove certain codecs, then the programs work, however this is no use to me, because i need those codecs for the projects i am working on. Similarly, if i force quit Adobe QT32 Server as a process, then the program opens, however the codecs in question just dont work.
How can i get refresh / reload / reconnect the Adobe QT32 Server process so that it opens the needed codecs??
I am running:
MAC OS X Lion 10.7.5
2.8 GHz i5
20 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory

CS6 not opening eps file, implementation limit, systemdict

Hi Guys
I'm having a bit of problem with my CS6 Illustrator and it started in illustrator CS5, I can create an eps file within Illustrator save it as CS6, but when i go to open it again i get an error " Can't open the illustration. The illustration exceeds an implementation limit. systemdict ŒØ_ˇ" (this can sometimes be varied with lots of ˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇˇ) . I get an option to click ok and when i do i get a blank artboard with nothing on it.
I can see the artwork preview in the finder window when i select the eps file, I can open it in photoshop, convert it in preivew and if i place the file back into illustrator i can see the artwork and click embed to edit it.
My question is this, is there anything i can do to get rid of the error message. all the work arounds are driving me daft.
