CS6 Offline Activation Number Entry Problems

The offline activation process is not working for me.  The following things are in my way:
1. The codes I am supposed to enter are given in a font found nowhere else on the web page.  In particular, I am not sure I am entering O or 0 in the proper place.  The font is weird and nothing looks exactly like any other font I've ever seen. The number does not distinctly have O and 0 in it, so I cannot compare the two.
2. There is no indication as to whether the spaces given on the web page are to be included when typing the numbers into the other device. I left them out when attempting to get the response code, so I guess they aren't necessary... but that's only a guess.  The fact that something works one way on one page is not a guarantee that it will work that way on another page.
3. Once I get a notice that the wrong code has been entered, subsequent clicking of ENTER results in no changes on the page.  Error box does not go away or modify, no hourglass shows there has been a click, nothing.  Either I have once more put in the wrong code and the page simply remains static (a bad idea since a new process was started and there is zero indication of any key press); or the page is not working.  There is no way to tell.
Please give examples of i, I, O and 0, in the font used in the numbers.  I think I have them right but there is no way to know.
Thank you very much.

  • CS6 Offline Activation Problems

    Hi,
    Just had a frustrating sequence of events happening on a Avid editing secure network station.  I have previously installed Adobe CS6 on Windows 7, z800 workstation and activation has passed 7 days.  So I have done an offline activation, generating a response code from an internet connected terminal, and the next screen says "Successful Activation" and I click Launch.  Nothing happens.  I click on another Adobe app and the activation screen appears again, and again I do an offline activation and click launch, nothing happens.  I figured Adobe master cllection must be corrupted.  I tried using the Adobe unistaller and reinstalled the software again.  The unistaller did not remove all folders and files.  I then reinstalled the CS6 and still the same thing.
    I really don't want to reimage this station so if someone has any input on this that would be great.  Are there preference files to delete?

    Sorry if this is a double post, but Licensing didn't have any answer and I am wondering if enough people follow the thread to provide an answer in the time frame I have in which to get this problem resolved.

    Herein lies the problem... Clicking the links in his solution direct you to Contact Customer Care

    Any help is appreciated.

  • CS6 Offline Activation for Cloned Clients

    My job requires that we have no internet access. I currently deploy our clients using a cloning machine. I create a master image and clone to our clients with all applications installed. I would like to be able to include the activation before I clone to the clients. I watched the video for AAMES and it mentioned about a workaround for cloned clients. It also said there was a video available on the topic. Can someone point me in the right direction for this?

  • Number entry problem

    I have numerous Genealogical spreadsheets that I derived from copy/paste operations from Page.
    While checking them note a primary discrepancy between the original data and the data shown on the spreadsheet. The reason for this discrepancy is back when there were multiple denotations of the year, because of when and how the calendar adjustment for improper leap year determination was performed, along with certain aspects of genealogical notation where only the year was known. i.e. 1794/95.
    When this type of data was ported into Numbers, it automatically assumed it was a numeric division problem even though there was no notation to make this assumption. i.e. The only character in front was a tab character to indicate next cell in line.
    Is there any methodology by which this inappropriate assumption can be permanently eliminated from Numbers?

    While TEXT would indeed "fix" that problem it would create considerable others because one of the purposes of this spreadsheet is to be able to organize it into last name, Given name AND date of birth. Sorting text acts considerably different than sorting by Date which, in a majority of cases it would not matter but in areas with multiple given name and surname it will all but randomize the dates by forcing them into a TEXT alphabetization sort rather than a date sort and when you are looking for that particular name and date (this will be used as an index of several thousand name), particularly because of the small character point size, it would be difficult to find the one being looked for SOMEWHERE in the multiple name list.
    I guess I just have to assume this "upgrade" is just another example of Apples inordinate push to force computers to adjust to the tablet instead of the other way around.

  • Offline Activation problems with Photoshop CS6 - ver 13_LS16

    I have a computer that cannot be connected to the internet.
    Adobe advises in its support pages under Offline Activation a number of steps to activate the software.
    Step 1 is
    1. Follow the installation or product launch screens until you see a link that says "I cannot connect to the internet" or "Having trouble connecting to the internet". Click the link and follow the instructions on the subsequent screen to initiate offline activation. Instructions there will tell you how to generate a Request Code.
    However, version 13_LS16 of Photoshop which I just downloaded does NOT offer such a link during either installation or launching - just a continuous loop of "Retry" a connection.
    Two calls to the Support Center met with incorrect information. Neither person knew that CS6 can be activated offline. In the past I have used tjhe Call Center successfully to exchane REQUEST Codes and RESPONSE CODES to install earlier versions of Photoshop. Clearly, the Call Center staff need training.
    How do I get to a screen on this offline computer which allows me to generate the REQUEST CODE which is used for Offline Activation???

    Phil I don't see the Photoshop CS6 registered under your account.  I would recommend contacting our support team directly at Contact Customer Care and verifying the serial number is valid and it is not an upgrade version.
    If you continue to face difficulties you are welcome to private message me the serial number but it would be more expedient to contact our support team directly.
    I would recommend having the serial number reviewed to ensure their will be no activation difficulties.  Please also be aware that the offline activation process does still require a computer with Internet access.  This can be a smartphone, tablet, a simple web browser capable of secure http connections.  The offline activation process is as follows:
    Launch the product.
    At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.
    Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.
    Write down the Request Code.
    Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.
    Click Offline Activation.
    Sign in with your Adobe ID.
    Enter your Request code and click Generate.
    Write down the Response code.
    Switch back to the offline computer.
    Enter the Response Code and click Activate.

  • Problems activating CS6 offline

    Hi,
    I am trying to install a number of copies of CS6.
    All was going well until one laptop didn't want to play ball. I went through the offline activation process, received my Response Code, completed the activation successfully. I then clicked on "Launch" and it just took me back to the activation page. I uninstalled, re-installed using a different WIN Serial Number, and the exact same thing happened.
    Any help in this matter would be great. I just hope it hasn't used up multiple licenses.
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Old computer was wiped clean before CS6 could be deactivated. New computer/ CS6 require serial number/activation code that I don't have recorded.
    How do I proceed?

    Sign in to your Adobe account online and see if your serial number is available via the My products section.  If you regstered your software then it should be available there.
    Your only other hope beyond that would be to contact Adobe Support thru chat and see if they can help you.  Also ask them to reset your activations so that the lost installation is essentially deactivated.

    for whatever reason the BETA photoshop cs6
    cannot connect for activation, the link for OFFLINE activation
    returns a 404 page not found error......
    so what gives?

    afaik you have to activate the beta online... not?
    that´s what i read. there is no offline activation for the beta.
    correct me if im wrong.
    Adobe ID login and online activation are required either at installation or within seven days after your first launch of the Photoshop CS6 beta. The same requirements will be in place for the shipping version of Photoshop CS6 when it is released. Your Adobe ID provides multiple benefits, including an easy way to access your serial numbers, the Adobe.com community, and the upcoming Adobe Creative Cloud™ membership.

  • Audition CS6 requires a Serial number entry at every startup

    Audition CS6 requires a serial number entry everytime I start the program.  How do I fix this.?  It is very annoying and If I get locked out of the program before I  fix the dance recital music  Its not going to go well for me here.

    You don't say whether you are on Windows or not, but if so you might try running the program once as an Administrator. Once the serial has been accepted, then try running as a regular user.

  • Number Entry Field Problem

    Hi,
    I'm new to iPhone dev. I try to have a screen with a number entry field after application starts. However I can't seem to get it displayed (a black screen shows instead, after successful build). This is what I did, am I missing something?:
    in appDelegate.m, I have these lines:
    @synthesize ACView;
    self.window = [[[UIWindow alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]] autorelease];
    self.ACView = [[[ACValueView alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame]] autorelease];
    [window addSubview:ACView];
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    In textFieldView.m,
    @synthesize textFieldRounded;
    - (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame {
    if (self = [super initWithFrame:frame]) {
    CGRect TextFieldframe = CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, kTextFieldWidth, kTextFieldHeight);
    self.textFieldRounded = [[UITextField alloc] initWithFrame:TextFieldframe];
    self.textFieldRounded.borderStyle = UITextBorderStyleRoundedRect;
    self.textFieldRounded.textColor = [UIColor blackColor];
    self.textFieldRounded.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:17.0];
    self.textFieldRounded.placeholder = @"<enter an Activation Code>";
    self.textFieldRounded.backgroundColor = [UIColor whiteColor];
    self.textFieldRounded.autocorrectionType = UITextAutocorrectionTypeNo;
    self.textFieldRounded.keyboardType = UIKeyboardTypeDefault;
    self.textFieldRounded.returnKeyType = UIReturnKeyDone;
    self.textFieldRounded.clearButtonMode = UITextFieldViewModeWhileEditing;

  • Offline Activation Not Working

    I'm trying to use my CS 6 software (which I purchased and have the license #) on a Mac Pro computer that does not have an internet connection. The offline activation system is not working for me - I get an error message saying the request code or serial number is Invalid. I have done this numerous times and have typed these codes in correctly. The Adobe chat line people have not been of no help whatsoever. Who can I speak to at Adobe to solve this problem? I own the software and I want to use it on my computer.

    Yes it quit itself silently .... and i dont know why... i have to say .. that i have adobe photoshop CC  too ... and its working perfectly .... but i need cs6 for my work too ..:/

  • Work Order Operation Duplicated on Operation/Activity Number

    I had a coworker duplicated his activity number on a operation. He hit save after he had changed the operation number. Now it is giving an error "Inconsistent data: Order 20066826 02/11/2008, duplicate entry U 0125. This had only happened once before and I tecoed/business completed the work order. Then told them to create a new order. But this one, has important information in it, so I was asked to save this order.
    Any way to renumber the operation or delete it, or just get in the work order itself? I get this error in change or display.
    Thanks

    What you describe should not have happened, and in 11 years of consulting on SAP Plant Maintenance I can only recall having seen this kind of problem once previously. It's not a very easy problem to resolve. There are a couple of suggestions I can make, neither of which are particularly easy or straighforward:
    1. Raise an OSS message with help.sap.com to see if they are aware of the problem and have an ABAP that you can download that will correct or delete the database entries. I have done this successfully previously but whether they have an off the shelf solution for this will depend on which version you are on and which tables have corrupted entries in them.
    2. Get an ABAPer to look at the problem and produce an ABAP program to correct the entries internally. It wouldn't need to be a particularly complex program, only a few lines, but some analysis would be needed to ensure that all of the affected table entries are corrected as the work order operations are split across several tables.
    Sorry but there is not really an easy answer to this one.
