  • Photoshop video tutorials are too fast

The videos are all too fast. Why don't you offer email tutorials with step by step instructions on how to use Photoshop? Then we can work at our own pace.

There are some great sources for step-by-step Photoshop tutorials. One of them is psdtuts+, create a photo realistic digital painting in photoshop.
Peachpit Press also offers some great books on Photoshop that offer step-by-step tutorials as well.
Digital Arts Online also offers some great step by step tutorials.
These are all are in addition to Photoshop.com and AdobeTV. When I follow a tutorial, I often watch a step, pause, then complete the step on my own computer. this way, I don't miss a step!

  • Looking for non-video Photoshop CC Tutorials

Can anyone suggest a tutorial for Photoshop CC that isnt a video? I'm new to the program and I just don't work well with video tutorials. I was wondering if buying the book for CS6 might be useful, or if it would just be pointless.
    Thanks!

  • Photoshop CS6 iPhone video editing

Photoshop CS6 has video editing but can not render any video from iPhone 5

    The format is .mov.
When you render it it becomes .mp4.
I do this all day that is the compression understood by many players. I did not say that it does not support the format as it will play fine. I said "it will not render" No corverter needed.
The video from the phone will not render unless you use the Apple TV, iPhone, iPad 4 and newer -720p 29.97 setting instead of the HD1080p that I use normally.
I hope you know how to help me. Please do not give me general answers be specific or tell me "I do not know"
You can always try it at home!
    Thanks for your time

  • I have looked through the video tutorials for CS6 and cant find any help for PHP using SQL.

Where is a good place that I can go to learn more about using dreamweaver and different languages than html.  Is there a service that adobe offers that I could buy that would take me from rookie all the way to professional with a good easy to use structure such as adobe tv but more advanced and thorough?  I am trying to build a website with a log in page and registration.  I have the HTML part down well enough but need help writing the php scripts and using SQL to store the user info

I'm moving this to the main Dreamweaver support forum.
In answer to your question, you need to be aware that the PHP server behaviors in Dreamweaver CS6 use the original MySQL functions that are scheduled to be removed from a future version of PHP. The server behaviors have already been removed from Dreamweaver CC. If you are planning to create a site using PHP and MySQL, do not rely on Dreamweaver's server behaviors. You must use either MySQLi (MySQL Improved) or PDO (PHP Data Objects) instead.
If you're looking for video tutorials, you might be interested in the courses I have created for lynda.com. As a beginner, a good place to start would be PHP for Web Designers or Introducing PHP (there are several sample videos that you can watch for free on my website). Both courses were recorded on Dreamweaver (PHP for Web Designers on Dreamweaver CS6, Introducing PHP on Dreamweaver CS5.5). PHP for Web Designers shows how to connect to MySQL with MySQLi. You need a subscription to lynda.com to watch the complete courses, but you can get a seven-day free trial by following the links on my website.
If you don't want to commit to a subscription service, I have also written a book called PHP Solutions, which covers MySQLi and PDO in depth. It also shows how to build a login system. At the moment, the second edition is available, but a revised third edition is due to go on sale in December.
There are also a lot of free resources on the web that you can find. The important thing to beware of is that a lot of old material relies on the original MySQL functions. Whichever resource you use, make sure it shows how to use MySQLi or PDO.

  • Security Update 2013-003 kills Photoshop CS6 with video

Since updating 10.6.8 to Security Update 2013-003, Photoshop CS6's video capabilities are hosed.  If I try to export a video to animated GIF, it pinwheels.  If I import a video in the first place, it now takes much longer to do so.  Making layers from video frames now gets stuck at the Progress bar and I'm forced to cancel it and/or force quit Photoshop.
Just a warning to those who work with video and Photoshop, Security Update 2013-003 may ruin your workflow.

If you have not already done so, you should contact Adobe Support and/or post in the Adobe Forums since it's their product for a work-a-round if any.

  • CS6 video tutorials: where is the working files folder

CS6 video tutorials: where is the working files folder

What video tutorials are you referencing?
If you're talking about the Adobe TV tutorials on the Adobe web site, there are links on each page where you find the tutorial.
If on a DVD, they should be on the same media.  If third party tutorials, you need to give full details.
Please read this FAQ for advice on how to ask your questions correctly for quicker and better answers:

  • Where are the video tutorials I saw generated from the PhotoShop CS.5 Installation Disc?

Where are the video tutorials I saw generated from the PhotoShop CS.5 Installation Disc? How to work on a face, New to CS5, How to strip in a background? etc. Very helpful. Want to get started here.

Thank you Curt Y. You're right. They're there. The tutorials are so smart. Don't know why they didn't download. With video tutorials "Live time" experts fumble themselves giving a perfect means for the user to absorb the "logic" of how the PhotoShop function thinks. There's no other way. Only a robot can, wants to, is motivated by boring line by line written description.  I rather eat gravel than try and follow "line by line."  line-by-line = ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.  Have a great holiday season, whereever you are, whatever you celebrate. Trexlorx.

  • Adobe TV Video Tutorials: how to download for offline viewing?

How do I download Photoshop CS6 video tutorials from Adobe TV for offline viewing ?

It depends on which browser you have.  If you are using Safari, post in their forum area.
If using FireFox, use one of there many (hundreds) YouTube video downloader add-ons.  My personal preference is the DownloaderHelper add-on.

  • Slow motion in Photoshop video

I'm watching a photoshop video tutorial and it says that I can right click a video clip in my timeline and it will pop up a dialog box that allows me to change the duration and speed to create a slow-mo affect. But, when I right click, I just get a motion dialog box that only allows me to pan and zoom. Any suggestions?

Would it be worth trying a new video project? Starting again?  Or going back to basics and watching a couple of tutorials?
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-cs6/video-workflow-with-new-scene-layers/
This one is for CC, and I don't know how different it is to CS6
Video editing basics | Adobe Photoshop CC tutorials
IME sometimes going back to basics when you are stuck, turns out to be quicker in the long run.  You also tend to pick a lot more watching the tutorials for a second time when you have a grounding in the subject matter.

  • Just downloaded trial CS6 Photoshop.  How to start when NEVER used this type of software EVER?

Downloaded trial CS6 Photoshop to see if it is suitable for our application prior to purchase.  Having NO experience with this type of software, how do you start?  Must be something simple I am missing.  Can't find how to insert picture/photo/text let alone manipulate for desired effect.  PLEASE HELP.  I made it so far as opening a new file WOO HOO.

    Hello and welcome!
I would first take a look at this beginner's forum FAQ. One of them is how to open a photo in Photoshop. It has step-by-step directions on the subject.
    To further discover Photoshop:
AdobeTV has a great set of video tutorials called "Learn Photoshop" .
Any questions you might have, feel free to post back here.
    enjoy!

    Enjoy,

Since you know the basics of Photoshop most of the books would probably not do you much good.  But you have several options.
One is video tutorials without the sound.  I have used them this way when I can not hear it well enough or person has accent.  The trick it to view in full screen and have you finger on the pause button.  Then write down the steps they are doing.  Even thought they are saying what they are doing most show the mouse clicks, but they can be quick, and you may have to play a couple of times to see what they are doing.  If you are somewhat familiar with the program you may be able to guess what they are doing to bring up the tool or step.
The other option is to go to a bookstore and page through some of the more advanced issues to see if the cover what you want.  Since you need CS5 you can look at either CS5 or CS6 instruction, and just disregard the new stuff for CS6.  Martin Evening is a well respected photoshop author that you can check out.  I have "Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Photographers" and it is quite though.  It also comes with a DVD showing some of the techniques.
    Hope this helps.

  • Online Videos/Tutorials/Overviews ...?

    Good Morning,
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
In the near future my organisation will be making the switch to CS6 (currently CS5.5).
My role currently as a Graphic Designer means I tend to to use mainly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.  I am hoping my role will be extended to overseeing use of our various users of CS throughout the organisation.
With this in mind, I feel the need to get a better grasp of what all of the components of CS can do and their main functions.
Can anyone advise of any online videos/tutorials etc which give a run through of the applications within CS and perhaps after that, one's which go into a bit more detail on each application.  I know I won't be able to master them all (not that I've mastered any really!), but it would be really helpful to my case for the new role.
    Thank you in advance!
    Si
