CS6 PS EXTENDED

When I open up the Adobe Download Assistant it asks me to give my login details. I do. Then it asks me to select a product. I'd like to select the Adobe Photshop CS6 EXTENDED so I can trial it, but I cannot find it, only the normal Photoshop CS6. Please help!

Do not manually drag plug-ins from a previous version of Photoshop's plug-ins folder to Photoshop CS6's 'Plug-Ins' folder

. Tried Chat, Opening equiry, forums.... I'm doing My MA and can do without this waste of time. Surely it should be easier than this? Serif is starting to be an easier option.
I have all the correct requiremints, I just want to be able to click on the correct download and that is ,it.
Surely a company like Adobe can be more helpful than this

This message implies i) Permissions to access the download are not granted when they should be. Or diverted / told to access via a different route.
                               ii) The download is not on this server - and it should be.
                              iii) The domian path is incorrect.
                              iv) The download instructions are incorrect / unclear.

hi im just wondering should i upgrade from photoshop cs3 extended to photoshop cs6 NON extended...... would i loose options from my extended version?
also i dont use photoshop cs3 that much, does anyone think its worth me upgrading?

I think I read that with 2013 the upgrade path would be shortened, so you are probably not eligible for upgrading anymore.
Apart from that the benefit of purchasing the current version of Photoshop naturally depends on what you are doing with Photoshop (both in terms of which features you use and how much you use the application overall).
Smart Objects have been improved quite a bit, Puppet Warp is an interesting feature, Configurator allows for the easy creation of custom Panels that can combine Tools, Commands, Actions etc., …
But to judge the programm yourself you could just install the trial – mind you, the trial is Photoshop Extended, so you may want to consult the Reference on which features you would not get with Potoshop Standard.
You might also want to look into Cloud Licensing – or at least »Adobe« wants you to …

Crash when trying to print in cs6 photoshop extended

I need to troubleshoot printing in cs6 photoshop extended. I have printed a lot but it started crashing yesterday. Toshiba - All-In-One 16gb 64 bit Windows 7 home premium. video driver is up to date. I have uninstalled/reinstalled.

I already own the Student/Teacher Edition CS6 Photoshop Extended and want to buy the Design Standard Student/Teacher edition in order to add In-Design and Illustrator to my Mac. My concern is that, since Photoshop is included in the Design Standard collection, will my pre-existng copy of Photoshop keep me from getting a serial number/license on the other two products since I know you can only puchase one product per student? I was just hoping someone could clarify this for me before I spent money on something that I may not can use. I really want In-Design and Illustrator and this is my cheapest route as a student.

There will not be any issues, while you are installing the Adobe CS6 Design Standard, you would not have an option to install Adobe Photoshop CS6 as its already installed.
Alternatively, You may de activate and uninstall the Adobe Photoshop CS6(curently installed) and keep it as a back up and use the Photoshop which is a part of Adobe CS6 Design Standard.

Because your graphics card isn ot supported or at least its driver is not up to snuff. 3D featurtes require working GPU features.

Versions of Photoshop have different installation trees and user preferences. You do not merge Photoshop versions. Each version is independent. When you install newer versions of Photoshop the are options to migrate your presets and Preferences. You can start and use any version installed on your machine. For the most part newer version of Photoshop are backwards compatible with older versions of Photoshop. However some changes Adobe make to Photoshop change user interfaces and and the way Photoshop performs some functions these changes break some user actions, scripts and user work-flows. In fact all the version you listed CS4, CS5 and CS6 have comparability issues. In that respect Photoshop CC is not any better it has compatibility issues.
Newer versions of Photoshop have new functions and updated old function. Older versions can not handle everything save by newer versions of Photoshop. If you save PSD and PSB files with the maximum compatibility option checked. Older version should be able to open you layer document with layers that look like what was saved though some layer may be altered and may even be a different layer kind then was saved. If you need to support older versions of Photoshop always use the maximum compatibility option.

When Adobe bought Macromedia and put a version of Photoshop into a cold fusion forum for support I was one of the volunteers.
We had about 12,000 complaints about the new icons and not one bug find. That was the first and last time the company went public on anything. I used to spend a lot of time on the prerelease site but with the CC versions even the back end connections got hairy.

From PS CS6 to extended

How can I upgrade my PS CS6 to the extended version (because 3D is only in the extended version)?

Yes, there's the cloud...and that's how they get you. I absolutely believe that upgrading from a standard to the extended version should be available and available cheaply. The fact that it is not, has to be Adobes way to get you into the cloud. Why else would they not offer it?
If it's any consolation gswetsky, the only reason I wanted PhotoShop CS6 Extended was for the 3d application and it's really not that great and is a ram hog that I can't even render the 3d that I made.
I did get the Cloud, BTW, and I'm really enjoy it. Maybe not so much when my price goes up and I'm on a fixed income. The only program I use that I gained in the cloud, is Illustrator. Everything else I already owned.

PS CS6 now extended, Illustrator & dreamweaver now trials

For some reason Adobe Updater suggested an update to my perpetual licenced copy of PS CS6. Having run this, PS has nowe become a trail of Extended and both dreamweaver CS6 and illustrator CS are alos trials where before they were perpetual licences.
How do I undo this as I want nothing to do with the cloud at all.
Havign had this problem I would also now like to switch off the automatic adobe updater - again, how is this done?

Hi Jeff,
I am using Win 7 64bit Ultimate and own individual titles. For some reason the CS6 titles all defaulted to trials - despite having used PS CS6 almost since it was released. I have since put the serial numbers into Illustrator, PS & Dreamweaver and all are working. Whatever happened did not affect InDesign CS5 or Audition CS3 - Ihave not had to re-enter licences for them.
I am unlikely to want further updates as I wish to stay away from "cloud" computing as long as possible both froma fianncial and access viewpoint!
Would like to know what happened and will any future updates to perpetual licence products have a similar effect.

Audition CS6 - WaveForm Extending Selection During Playback

I just upgraded to Audition CS6 from 2.0. In preferences - general I have "Extend Selection" selected under Editor Panel Context Clicking, so I can left click/right click extend selection.
I select a lot to delete during playback. With CS6, I start playing and left click on the waveform on the spot I want to be the start of my selection, then right click on the spot I want to be the end of my selection. The problem is as soon as I right click, it resets the selection start point to the current playhead position.
So it isn't selecting what I want. It moves my selection starting point. Please help. Thank you!

Yes the Play cursor and position cursor work slightly differently now in CS6. I would suggest that you use the In and Out point selection keyboard shorcuts (I and O) for this operation rather than the mouse.
If you start playing from the Cursor and then click "O" the waveform will be automatically selected from the start point up until where you pressed O. If you leave the file playing then a further click on O will update the out point to where the cursor is at that moment. If you also have Lopp Playback turned on then as soon as you select the Out point playback will jump back to the beginning of the selection and continue looping around the select portion. At the same time you can left click on the start or end of the selection to extend or decrease it. Shift click will also allow you to move the ends of the selection to where you click. You can also use Shift and the Left/Right cursor keys to move the In point in small increments in either direction and Shift+Ctrl and cursor keys for the Out point.

Upgrading PS CS6 non-extended (NX) to extended (XT)

For now, I'm happy with the NX version, but if I want to upgrade to XT, how do I do it?
I looked on the upgrade options for XT and upgrading from NX, is not there.

That said, it may be able to be made to work... Visit nVidia.com and see if they have released an updated display driver for your hardware.
If not, consider buying a new video card. Even inexpensive cards today are insanely fast and support all the functions of Photoshop.
