    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
The Nikon D600 is supported by Camera Raw 7.3 and later which is compatible with CS6.
In CS6, click Help > Updates and your Camera Raw should be updated.
Check the exact version of Camera Raw which you have installed via Help > About Plug-ins > Camera Raw

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 Raw files not previewing.

I recently upgraded my iMac from a 2007 to a mid 2011 Mac ...the first running fine with CS5...the newer iMac with CS6 and 32GB ram.  I can't seem to get Bridge in CS6 on the new machine to preview D800 Raw Nef files.  Is there something that I need
to do when importing to help the process?  What's strange is that the first files in a folder import fine and preview fine.  I downloaded 300 or so images from a 32GB card.  The first 150 or so worked fine.  The rest just don't preview at all.  Help!

Did you use a card reader for the download?
Are all the 300 files relatively the same size?
Did you ues Tools/cache/purge and rebuild the folder cache?

  • Photoshop CS6 Raw Issue

I am unable to open a RAW file from my Nikon D7100 DSLR camera in Photoshop CS6. My version of Photoshop CS6 is 13.0.1.2. My camera raw version is 8.1.0.43.
Is there a solution to tis issue?

Have since gotten direction from Adobe Support. As long as I upload camera images to my computer using Adobe Bridge, there is no problem opening any Raw files in PS CS6 or Camera Raw.

  • Cs6 raw plugin not recognizing lumix g5 raw files

I just installed cs6 on my computer which is not connected to the internet. The camera raw plugin does not recognize my lumix G5 camera raw files. I tried downloading and installing what i think is the most recent raw plugin, but it still does not recognize the file format. I have installed the dng converter which does recognize these files but that's a clunky work-around. Any ideas on what I should try next?orwhere i can find the most recent raw plugin for cs6?
    Best, David.

  • Trouble moving from lightroom to Photoshop CS6 raw editor

I am having trouble moving from my lightroom 4 to Photoshop camera raw. I can move directly to Photoshop but would like to use the raw editor in photoshop CS6 and not the lightroom editor

    Hi,
You could use Photo>Edit In>Open as Smart Object in Photoshop
(or right click on the photo and Edit In>Open as Smart Object in Photoshop)
Then double click on the smart object thumbnail in the layers panel to open camera raw.

  • Photoshop CS6 RAW slowdown

Photoshop CS6 and View NX 2 are installed on my iMac. I suddenly have begun experiencing incredible slowdown in the use of adjustment tools in Photoshop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have since gotten direction from Adobe Support. As long as I upload camera images to my computer using Adobe Bridge, there is no problem opening any Raw files in PS CS6 or Camera Raw.

  • CS6 Raw Plugin for Olympus OM-D e-M5 Mark II

I am purchasing the new Olympus OM-D E-M5 MARK II CAMERA and I need the new Plug-in for Raw.  How do I download?

That camera is still a couple weeks away from shipping on B&H, and as for any brand new camera, the support would likely be in the next version of the plug-in that comes out after the camera is available for sale and Adobe has one in hand to work with, unless the camera and the plug-in come out about the same time, then it’d likely be supported in the next version of the plug-in, 3 or so months afterward.
It is unclear to anyone but Adobe insiders who are sworn to secrecy, what the next version of the plug-in will be, 8.8 or 9.0.  If 8.8 it would likely work with CS6 as all the 7.x and 8.x versions have.  If it is ACR 9.0 then it just depends on whether Adobe chooses to make ACR 9.0 backward compatible with CS6 or not and require a CC subscription.
Here is the list of currently supported models and the version of ACR plug-in needed:

Here is where Adobe posts the download link for whatever the current plug-in is:

  • CS6 raw options

I just downloaded Photoshop CS6 and when I pull up a raw image, the adjustment options are the same as my Elements 11 options.  It's not the new "recovery, fill lights, etc" options.  How can I get the new options?

    Hi,
Those are actually the old options.
The new options are process 2012 and the old options are process 2010.
You can access the different options under the Camera Calibration tab in both pse 11 and cs6 and then see the difference in the sliders under the Basic tab
2012 is the best generally and the one you should use
    more about camera raw:

Also, the latest version of camera raw for pse 11 is 7.4 and for cs6 it's 8.2
You can install the latest versions by going to Help>Updates from within pse 11 or cs6

  • Does CS6 raw image converter also support PowerShot G1X MKII raw images?

I recently bought an PowerShot G1X MKII and always work with raw images. I have CS5 which does not support those raw images. Before upgrading to CS6 I wonder if anybody has experience with opening PowerShot G1X MKII raw images using ACR in CS6.

I just checked the supported camera list published by Adobe. It indicates that there is preliminary support for that camera in the latest version of Camera Raw. That version will not be compatible with Photoshop CS5. But you could download the DNG converter version 8.4 and convert those raw files to the DNG format and use them with what you already have. You could purchase Photoshop CS6 and install Camera Raw 8.4 and have support for your camera, albeit preliminary support. But new features that have been added to Camera Raw since the introduction of Photoshop CC will not be available to you. But since you don't have those features now that probably wouldn't matter. You could also add Lightroom to your workflow, turning to Photoshop CS5 when needed.  Here is a link to the Adobe webpage that lists camera support:

  • How can I make my CS6 raw images compatible with CS5.5 users?

After editing 100+ images in bridge I save the files as DNG for the magazines I work for, it's only just come to my attention that for them to alter the exposure/contrast they must convert the image to 5.5 which means losing the adjustments I've already made.  It's time wasting for both of us.
I tried using the different options under 'compatibility' of saving for camera raw 2.4 and later (4.1, 4.6, 5.4, 6.6) not sure how to use the custom area.
Does anyone have an idea on this?
I'd consider using the previous version just on these jobs but I'm not even sure how to do that.

Hi there! Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I moved your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum, where you'll get more specialized help.

  • CS6 raw conversions

CS 6 raw conversions of Nikon Raw files, it makes a blank thumbnail with only the image file name, it does not do this in CS 5, does anyone know the problem?

You can change the Workflow Settings, click the hotlinked text at the bottom of your ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) window.
You can adjust the Resolution, Color Space, Bit Depth, Size, Sharpening and whether or not you want the image to open in Photoshop as a Smart Object.
