CS6 Registration gift

Do you not get a registration gift when buying CS6 through Creative Cloud?
I was hoping to get the 30 days free trial on Lynda.com as I did when i bought CS4.

Due to the automatic nature of registration for Creative Suite 6 there will not be a Product Registration Incentive Offer.   In the past we offered the free gifts to help encourage users to register their products.
Right now with CS 6, the product automatcally gets registered as soon as you activate with your Adobe ID

  • Kicked out of CS6 - registration number suddenly invalid

    Hi, after using my CS6 MS for over a year I suddenly got a pop up: register for trial version. Huh? Got a legitimate home version from reseller, full wax, registration number got accepted without problems. Have uninstalled cs after browsing this forum (using adobe instructions), but now upon reinstalling my serial number appears to be invalid. It's like I can't get into my own house.

    Well, I ended up doing what I had previously mentioned. I went through my computer and uninstalled everything to do with CS6 and even a few CS4 programs I found. Then I even had the CS5 programs even though that is what I was planning on reinstalling onto my computer. After getting rid of all traces of those programs from my computer, I reinstalled my CS5 from a disc and entered the serial # as I normally would and it worked! It didn't tell me I had an invalid serial # anymore and it didn't tell me I had to get CC. The downside is that I am back to using CS5 even though I have paid for CS6, but at least I can still use the programs I need until I figure out what I want to do for a long term fix of this issue.     CS6 upgraded to CC, acrobat now asks for snr... i entered and it seems to work. However, i noticed that CS6 disappeared from my registered products. Re-registration failed because the snare is already used. Will CC keep on working, and not ask me for the CS6 serial number in the middle of a job ?

    Sounds like your CS6 perpetual license was reassigned to your CC subscription, and it will continue to work as long as you pay the subscription fees. If you decide to stop and want to go back to the perpetual license for CS6 you'll probably have to jump through a few hoops to uninstall, log onto Adobe.com using a different Adobe ID, and reinstall CS6 from your original disks/downloads.

  • Xml export - registration gift

    I read that the xml export extension was one of the options
    as an incentive when registering Creative Suite Web Premium,
    however when I upgraded (via DW on first launch) I didn't see an
    option to download, and haven't received an email. Is this
    something that takes awhile, or is it immediate? It's been 2 days
    since I registered. Perhaps I'm just to impatient :)

  • Cannot finalise registration process of CS6 due to Adobe ID error

    I have just installed 13 copies of CS6 in our studio, 12 successfully but one is having problems. The registration process goes smoothly using our relevant Adobe licences, the problem occurs when we have to enter the Adobe ID at the end of the process. The two option sappear, sign in later or sign in now. Once we click sign in now it just becomes the spinning wheel of boredom, can't do anything. of course the problem is that it says you have 7 days to do so before it makes the application inoperable.
    So what is wrong and how do I fix this and what does an Adobe ID have to do with this whole thing anyway? We have the legal licences, why do we also need an Adobe ID to complete the process

    I had the same issue & contacted Tech Support several times before finally they found that it must be my "corporate network" setup.
    This is in part becuase Adobe is now requiring that you use your Adobe ID to register CS6.  See the link below:

    After several "live" chats with Adobe support they gave me a link to directions for a work around.  The problem was our "corporate network" setup, so this will occur on each machine that you install CS6 on while connected to a "corporate network".
    To work around the CS6 registration error on a "corporate network" you must do one of the following: disable the proxy server, disconnect from the internet completely to use the Offline Activation option, or use an alternate outside internet source to complete the CS6 registration.
    Adobe Tech Support directed me to a forum on how to disable the proxy server, but really all you need to do is unplug your internet source, and then you can generate the codes that are needed to complete the registration with the Offline Activation option. This worked for me, I'm all set now.

    The font which were provided earlier with CS2 and CS3 were different.
    Refer to the link to know which all fonts are included with the Standard installation and as goodies with CS6.

  • Creative Cloud Requires Repeated Sign-in and Registration

    I have been a Creative Cloud subscriber for several weeks now. My primary computer is active on the internet at all times. About every 2 or 3 days, it gives me the choice of reverting to "trial" or registering. I have to type in my Adobe ID and password and reactivate each time this happens. This is very annoying, to say the least. It is only supposed to check license status every 30 days, according to Adobe info.
    I installed my second "seat" on a laptop which I travel with, on internet is less available. On that computer, I had the same issue. Since I didn't have a stable internet connection, the re-registration process was a bit more problematic, though in the end I was able to use it.
    I never had a similar problem with the perpetual license products. Once licensed, they remained active until I deactivated them.
    This seems like a bug in the CC registration area to me. Any ideas?  

    I'm certain that haven't launched CS5 prior to one of these re-activate messages. I've pretty much stopped using CS5, but I want to keep it around, just in case.
    I'll first deactivate CS5 - then it would be easier to re-activate CS5, in case I need it later on. But it usually takes several days for one of these re-activate CS6 messages to appear.
    Perhaps CS5 is checking it's registration in the background? (without a launch) So even if I don't launch it, it's overwriting the CS6 registration info? So if I de-activate CS5, that would test this scenario?
    I'll post results when I know something.

  • CS6 (CD-ROM) doesn't show in my Account - Why?

    Hello,
    I purchased CS6 (boxed CD-ROM) as an upgrade for the CS5.5 that I download-purchased directly from Adobe.
    I've registered the CS6 product, but while the CS5.5 (and any previously products ordered from Adobe) shows in my Adobe Account, the CS6 doesn't.
    When I tried to add the CS6 registration to the products list on my account page, the system tells me the product has already been registered.
    That is true, but how do I add it the list on my accounts page?

    OK, I found the reason -- I registered CS6 under a different Adobe ID.
    Now the big question is:
    HOW DO I MERGE THE TWO ACCOUNTS INTO ONE?

  • Adobe fails to respond to support issue for 30 days.

    I moved to a new MacBookPro. I attempted to register my CS6 Design & Web Premium to which I upgraded in April 2013 for this new machine. The license says it is good on one work machine and one home machine. I took my old MacBook Pro home.
    The Adobe site shows my old CS 5.5 and CS 5 licenses, but not CS6. The site does not accept my serial number for the CS6 registration. Clearly it was registered or it would not have worked on my old machine.
    After hours on phone hold and simultaneous support chat hold (Adobe's web site always says that a support agent is available, until you start a chat session and they leave you hanging until it times out).
    On January 4, 2014 after four hours of attempts I finally had a chat session. The support  person started a support case that required me to upload a copy of my certificate with serial number and receipts from my dealer for the purchase. The site says that the goal is a four hour turn around and that I have five days to respond to Adobes contact.
    In fact Adobe has NOT touched this case in 30 days. They have not responded to repeated attempts to contact them. My dealer, Apple Specialist, was unable to get them to respond.
    I am dead in the water here. I can't get work done.
    I think that this is probably the worst service ever and can't get through to anyone. It was disappointing that the last upgrade did not include a current version of Acrobat. What is more infuriating is the lack of listing this, a current product, on Adobe's support page the and circular process that constantly takes you back to the same page.

    All of the above is untrue. The have all of the support information they need, but have totally failed to contact me or enter any information into the case file. The case status is open and says "Open - Pending Adobe Response." Yet, no response in a month.

    If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement

  • License activation reverting to trial & -1 days remaining

    OK, I'm aware of an issue discussed in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html
    This involves a fully registerred version of a Cloud licensed CS6 app reverting to trial mode, usually with a -1 days (I've had +22000 days shown one time!) but basically it gives a days remaining figure even after registerring.
    I believe from reading other forum posts (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4508772#4508772), that its something to do with opening a CS5 application which overwrites CS6 registration files, so triggering a re-registration each time. Adobes response is that they're aware of it and to resolve it, stop using CS5 versions, stick with cs6.
    OK, well, some might find that acceptable, I for one cant do that. I use Extensis web font plugin that comes as part of Font Fusion 4. It installs a plugin which accesses Googles web fonts and allows designers like myself to use live web fonts in their design mockups rather than having to download and install each one each time. It accesses the live list of fonts, and shows them automatically. Unfortunately Extensis cant make a CS6 version of their plugin as they blame Adobe for "issues they need to fix with fonts" before they can roll it out.
    So, I need to use Cs5 for Extensis font plugin (they blame Adobbe), yet want use Cs6 for advanced features (they understandably dont seem to care about fixes for Extensis software). I cant use either as one or the other causes headaches!
    Anyone else getting the trial issue problem and cant just ditch Photoshop CS5 fully like Adobe recommend?
    Anyone else use Extensis Web font pluging and have to use CS5 and CS6 and experiencing the same problem?
    When might Adobe fix the trial issues so I can keep and switch between PS CS6 and CS 6?
    Either that or can Adobe fix whatever "issues" are stopping Extensis from releasing the CS6 version of their plugin, and problem then solved for me?

    An Adobe Photoshop CS6 plug-in will be available after Adobe fixes a known issue that currently prevents font auto-activation and use of Extensis Font Panels by that application.

    since I posted I've found the the Spry documentation for
    Dreamweaver 9, and
    the info at

    seems to suggest that inserting a spry DynamicTable is a
    multi step process,
    so the Live Object may still be useful in other servermodels,
    but I'll focus
    my efforts on duplicating the existing Spry integration for
    the PHAkt
    servermodel.

    Hi, I have CS6 with Acrobat X. After I installed Adobe CC (without Acrobat XI) and sign in,activation on Acrobat X goes down. When I hit button Activate I saw the mail adress is not my mail CS6 registration and appears e-mail from Adobe ID for CC.If continue (change mail, enter serial num e.t.c. Acrobat is ok, but CC is signed out). I use older Acrobat beacouse  my Pit stopPro version require AcrobatX. My question is how can I use both products for which I paid?

    Please let me know if that is not your email id, then what id is being shown while you activate.
    Were you trying to sign in with new id that is not registered at Adobe.com
