CS6 Rendering and exporting, and clarity problems.

Alright. So I spent several hours editing, and relearning, Premiere Pro for a friends track video. During the whole process everything looked good, nice and crisp.
I made sure all of my work area was selected> went to sequence > render entire work area. The settings I chose were h264, 1080p, 29.97.
Then, I go to export > media > and verify all data is still correct. Then I move it to queue, Media encoder comes up and I start Queue after puting the file in the desired location.
I then go to the file, it is only 16 seconds long (video is about 50 mins, and looks like complete garbage. HALP!
Video is from a Gopro Hero 1, and I noticed for the source video it says resolution was 720x480, could that be part of the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Further back story, most of the editing was done in CS5, but my media encoder wasn't working so I upgraded to CS6 everything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please try this - do not pre-render the timeline, leave it red. Verify what the current sequence settings are, for instance 720x480 29.97. Go to File > Export > Media to bring up AME. Whatever format you choose, make sure the dimensions match the source. It will display input and output settings, easy to look if there are differences.
At bottom left, choose 'Entire Sequence" rather than "Work Area". Rather than Queue, just hit EXPORT. This ought to work.
I would suggest a test  - create a NEW project. Import a sample clip. Drag to "New Item" button at lower right on bin, to create a new timeline sequence that matches the clip. Verify what the sequence settings are. Add a title. Export as described above. Check results.

  • Indesign CS4/CS3 and Export to PDF problems

    Hello,
I have been having problems with both Indesign CS3 and CS4 and exporting large documents to a PDF-file. Exporting halts with error messages like: "Failed to Export the PDF file" in CS4 or "Error encountered while reading JPEG image" in CS3.
Problem can be corrected by simply closing InDesign and restarting it and opening the same file again. It appears that problem occurs more often the file is large. Any suggestions how to fix this problem?
I'm using Vista 64-bit and have 8GB memory.

Handling of missing links HAS changed, and in my opinion for the worse, but at the request of users, so that missing links no longer open the Links panel automatically or ask you to update on opening as they used to, though you should still receive a warning that the links are missing UNLESS YOU HAVE TURNED IT OFF IN YOUR PREFERENCES. It's on by default and you will find the option under the file handling section.
The rationale is that many workflows do not require that links be intact to accomplish the current editing, and longer documents with hundreds of missing links used to take many minutes to open while ID searched, essentially costing those users lots of money.
IF you have stored the links in the same directory as the .indd file, and IF you have moved the entire directory and IF you have enabled finding missing links when opening files, InDesign will find and update the locations for the links when the file is opened. If ID is unable to locate a link, because it is not in the current directory or a subfolder, you will see a warning message (in the past you would have had the option to browse for the missing files), and you must open the links panel if you wish to fix them manually.
In my opinion this is a very acceptable situation, and a great benefit to all types of workflows. I need to know links are modified or missing, so I've left that enabled. Those who don't need to know are no longer bothered or delayed. I suggest you pay a visit to the preferences and make sure that missing/modified checks are enabled, and if you are still having problems then your links aren't stored in the same directory, and that has always been an issue in ID when things get moved.

  • Aperture and Exporting and Compression (and iPhoto)

    Hello All...
I recently imported an aperture project into iPhoto to create a book for a friend. In aperture, the the photos appears as 1536px x 1024px - i.e. perfectly big enough to create a 6" x 8" softback book. However, after the import, some pics appear as 768px x 512, and some as 1024px x 680px. Now, when I load the images into the book template, it says they are to low quality.
Also, when I dragged an image from aperture to the desktop (one that is the mentioned bigger size in aperture) is saved to the desktop as the smaller size. How can I export from Aperture, preferably to iPhoto, in the original, or a big enough, size?!
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Sam
Sounds like you're dragging files from the Media Viewer that shows up when you go File -> Show Aperture Library. This Media Viewer only contains the Previews generated in Aperture. Dragging to the desktop also gets a Preview. To get the full size pics you need to export from Aperture (File -> Export and choose the correct Export settings) and import to iPhoto.

  • Insert HTML and export to PDF problem (ID CS6)

    Greetings,
A new feature in Indesign CS6 is to insert HTML snippets in an Indesign document via the Object > Insert HTML option.
This will insert a frame in the page containing the rendered HTML content.
There are several issues that I have encountered using this feature in Indesign CS6. Can anyone advise if these are bugs/ux issues and provide any alternatives/solutions.
    1) After inserting any HTML content (even the default "This is an HTML snippet"), when I try to export to PDF format (Interactive or Print), the  HTML content or rather its frame container is rendered in black. I've noticed that the HTML content is exported as a image so all I get are black rectangles.
There is no problem when I try to export to HTML format.
    2) There seems to be a paste size limit in the Insert HTML text area/field as I can only paste 16566 characters of HTML code. (Haven't checked yet if the limit is in characters or tags or newlines).
    3) How can you set such that the HTML object frame will span multiple pages for cases where the HTML content is larger than the height of the page? Since it is not a text frame, I can't find a threading feature or a possible workaround. Or is the "Insert HTML" feature not really applicable for PDF export workflows but only for epubs?
    Thanks

Oh ok. I guess direct HTML import is still not possible in ID CS6 (either import as XML or convert to DOC/RTF) for PDF export.
    Thanks

  • AME CS6 rendering with AE and Pr takes too long

    Hi Guys,
Need some help here. i have rendered a 30 secs mp4 video with 1920 x 1080 HD format 25 frames w/o scripting in AME for 4 hours!
Why does it take too long? I have rendered a 2 minute video with same format w/ scripting but only spare less than 30 minutes for rendering.
Im using After Effects and Premium Pro both CS6 and using Dynamic Link in AME.
What seems to be wrong in my current settings?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

This may be a waste of time, but it won't take a minute and is something you should always do whenever things go strangely wrong  ............ trash the preferences, assuming you haven't done it already.
Many weird things happen as a result of corrupt preferences which can create a vast range of different symptoms, so whenever FCP X stops working properly in any way, trashing the preferences should be the first thing you do using this free app.
    http://www.digitalrebellion.com/prefman/
Shut down FCP X, open PreferenceManager and in the window that appears:-
    1. Ensure that only  FCP X  is selected.
    2. Click Trash
The job is done instantly and you can re-open FCP X.
There is absolutely no danger in trashing preferences and you can do it as often as you like.
The preferences are kept separately from FCP X and if there aren't any when FCP X opens it automatically creates new ones  .  .  .  instantly.

  • IMovie HD, Quicktime 7, Leopard and Export to Camcorder problem

I'm hoping someone has seen this behavior before. I am working with a pretty old setup but it shouldn't be the problem it is.
I'm working on a 1.25GHz G4 Flat-Panel iMac. I have a Sony DCR-HC96 tape camcorder (firewire 400). I am using iMovie HD (6) and want to export my edited movies back to the the camera for archiving in DV. In Tiger, There is no problem. In Leopard, iMovie begins the export but the video stream never gets out of the computer. The camera goes to record mode but only records a black screen and audio.
I have installed Tiger 10.4.11 on an external drive with a copy of iMovie HD. As I write this I realize I don't know the version of Quicktime I'm using in Tiger. I have to boot to the external drive to do the archiving.
I was wondering if maybe the driver for the camera has changed between OS X versions. Is this something that would be stored in a Quicktime support directory or in an OS X directory? Can I move something from the Tiger install to get this to work in Leopard?
Where do I begin to troubleshoot what is obviously a software problem.

    "Square" pixels versus "rectangular" issue.
When viewing DV files in QuickTime the size used to be reported as 640X480 (NTSC here) instead of 720X480.

  • Editing and exporting and 16X9 footage

Recently I upgraded from my dvx100 to dvx100B and decided to try the 16X9 option instead of just matting the image to get a widescreen effect.
I just imported about 50 hours of footage into my computer without setting my capture settings to anamorpic. The image is still displayed on my computer and on my external deck as 16X9. But on my monitor, which does not have a 16X9 option, the image is stretched. I tried to capture a few clips with the anamorphic setting on, but it made absolutely no difference. I wonder why that is...Doesn't the anamorphic capture preset make a difference?
I am editing in a sequence that has the Anamorphic 16:9 setting checked, and the frame size says 780X480, with the aspect ration NTSC DV (3:2)
When I export a quicktime movie, however, the file comes out stretched even on my computer monitor.
I have a few questions: is there a way to make sure my film eventually plays properly on a standard (non 16X9) TV? And is there any way to view it as 16X9 while editing? For example, if I captured it with other settings.
Finally, how can I export a quicktime file that's still 16X9 and not stretched out.
I really appreciate any help! Thanks

is there a way to make sure my film eventually plays properly on a standard (non 16X9) TV?
Output (author) your movie as an anamorphic DVD.
Or, if that's beyond your means, create a letterboxed 4:3 master by dumping your anamorphic sequence into a 4:3 sequence, then output to tape.
And is there any way to view it as 16X9 while editing?
If your monitor does not do 16:9, I'm afraid not. This is an issue with the display device (aka your monitor), however, and would not be corrected by using any other capture settings.
Is a small 16:9 monitor (a cheapo LCD, maybe) out of your budget?
Finally, how can I export a quicktime file that's still 16X9 and not stretched out.
If you've got QT 7.1 or later on your system, go to File > Export > Using QuickTime Conversion then make sure for Options > Movie Settings > Size that NTSC 720 x 480 16:9 is selected. The checkbox for Preserve Aspect Ratio Using should be unchecked.
If you're using an earlier version of QT, you'll need to input the size manually as 853x480, presuming you're working in NTSC, of course. PAL size would be 1024x576.

  • PE2 hangs with Windows 7 when creating and exporting files

My computer running WinXP just broke down on me for the 2nd time in 7 years, so I finally decided to upgrade. I put it off because I was afraid of windows 7 having compatibility issues with my old software, and now I'm having trouble with Premiere Elements 2. After it opens up I can cancel and exit but if I try to create a file it stops responding. The tutorial opens up as if there's no problem and it plays on the timeline like normal. When I tried to export that sample video the computer hung for a long time before letting me change the output settings. The file rendered at a normal speed, and the exported video looks fine. Since then I've transferred my old files and have no problem working with them or importing new media to an existing file. It's just creating and exporting that causes problems. I'm using Windows 7 home premium, 64 bit.

Have you tried right-clicking the application icon and setting it to run in XP compatibility mode?
If not you could install a Virtual Machine to run using your existing XP Licence. Or upgrade your W7 to Professional/Ultimate that includes Virtual XP Mode.

  • LCM export and import for Hyperion financial reports 11 1 2 2

    Hi All,
Could you please let me know how to perform the LCM migration for HFR in 11.1.2.2 version. I am on AIX.
I am having some issues with my HFR server and so I cannot open the reports. So I am thinking if I can use LCM and export and migrate the reports to another server.
The steps I am performing to do this:
Login to HSS > Application group> Reporting and Analysis> Repository objects> report folder name> select reports> Hit on Export
Now in the exported folder I see three things:
RnA-Reporting and Analysis (Its a folder)
    Export.xml
    Import.xml
Now under RnA-Reporting and Analysis folder I see sub folders
resource\Repository Objects\Under this folder, I see for every report there is one .xml file and 5 other files for the same report.
Can anyone tell me how to import these reports back into the new environment?
    Thanks,

    Hi Celvin-
Thanks for the reply- And I followed what you recommended but none of the reports being migrated. I can only see one batch script under HSS and workspace in the target server but in the LCM export from the source server (The exported folder) i can see all the reports and the books.
Can you please advise what should be done now?
    Thanks a lot!!!

  • Find import and export for method

    Hi,
i wont to use method in se24 , how i now the import and export and ... for Method?
    Regards

    Hi,
for an easy use of methods i recommend using the button "pattern" in SE80. If you choose "ABAP Objects Patterns" the source of a method call is generated and all existing Parameters are listed.
You can display the parameters also within SE24. Call the Class of the Method. Then click on "Methods". Set the mouse focus on the method you are interested in and click the button "Parameters".
    Hope this helps!

  • Hyper-V(2012R2) Backup with Checkpoints(Snapshot) and Export - What to consider ?

    good evening
Today I recognized that a VM Snapshot (excuse
a checkpoint) can be exported  with
    Windows Server 2012R2.
The subsequent import resulted in a
    functional VM in saved state.
Question: What concerns a backup to a deduplicated Drive
    with the following PowerShell
    commands?
    # Backup running VM's on a hyper-v 2012R2
    # (p) by steini'14
    $rootPath = "I:\VMBackup"
#create Backup Path of the Day

    # Do Snapshot and export and "Merge!" Snapshot/Checkpoint for each vm on this host.

        write-host "Start: $($vm.Name)"
        $snap = $vm |checkpoint-vm -SnapshotName "BackupJob $(Get-Date -f yy_MM_dd_HH-mm)" -Passthru
        $snap | Export-VMSnapshot -Path $Path.FullName

    #Set-DedupVolume g: -MinimumFileAgeDays 0
#Start-DedupJob -Volume i: -Type Optimization -Wait

    Hi ,
I am not familiar with powershell .
#create Backup Path of the Day
    $path = new-item -ItemType Directory -Path "$rootPath\$(Get-Date -f yy_MM_dd_HH-mm)"
I think it will create a new folder to store the export image when the script start to run .
Also the disk space for storing these image is a factor what you can think of .

  • Difference between "Archive/restore" and "Export/import"

What's the difference between the utilities "Archive/restore" and "Export/import"?
Which utility must I use for putting my maps from a development environment to a production environment?
For the moment I am using version 9.0.3.
I will migrate to 9.2 when the version for AIX is available.

    Marc,
You should use OWB Metadata Export/Import utilities (not to be confused with Database Export/Import utilities).
The Archive and Restore utilities will be desupported in the next release of OWB.
The exact differences are documented in "OWB 9.2 User Guide", page 15-12, "Differences Between Archive and Export" and page 15-23, "Differences Between Restore and Import". The same sections are available in "OWB 9.0.3 User Guide", pages 11-45 and 11-46 respectively.

  • Problems rendering and exporting from Premiere Pro, Encore CS 6

I am having a problem with Premiere Pro and Encore CS6 . In Premiere Pro, my preview files do not get saved and I need to re-render each time I open the project. When the project opens it shows mainly red bars separated by blank (uncoloured) space. I am currently attempting to re-render this project, and it is stuck at 0.01%. In Encore, when I open my project I get the message The transcoded Dynamic Link asset _______ has changed on the server.  Would you like to reimport it? I select yes, but am unable to preview the project, probably because it is unrendered in Premiere. When I attempt to build a DVD the building initiates and then freezes. I have the project set up correctly and no issues come up when i go through 'check project'. I've searched forums for solutions to these problems, but haven't been able to resolve the issues. please help! My computer is an IBM ThinkPad LENOVO W510 with 16GB RAM. The premiere project is linked to After Effects compositions

    Hi Else,
Footage is encoded ONCE. Since the "MPEG-2 for DVD" file that you create in AME is DVD-legal, when you import into Encore, you will see next to it "Don't Transcode", it just uses the file as is. The .wav audio will be transcoded to Dolby AC-3 automatically when you build the disc in Encore.
So in AME, for Format, choose "MPEG-2 DVD", then choose a Preset to match your footage type, such as "NTSC Widescreen High Quality". Under VIDEO tab, you can adjust the data rate. For a short program, just choose CBR (Constant Bit Rate) and a setting of 7 or 8. Nothing else to touch in there, just choose a filename and destination and encode. Will create .m2v video and .wav audio clips. In Encore, use Import > As Tineline" and select both clips.
If source project is HD, then at bottom of encoder window, select "Max Render Quality", as this helps with downscaling quality.
If you say what the source sequence settings are I can be more specific on output settings.
    Thanks
    Jeff

  • Quadro 4000 issues w/ PP CC. Crashes MacPro during rendering and exporting in Encoder.

I'm using a Mac Pro 3,1 early 2008 w/ 2x2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon w/16 GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro 4000 is installed and the factory installed NVidia GeForce 8800 GT for dual monitors. I also have a Blackmagic Design Deckling HD Extreme installed but mainly only use it for the XLR audio outputs to my Mackie Mixer. I'm running Yosemite 10.10.2 and all drivers have been updated.
I finally made the switch to PP CC from CS6 thinking it would make my life easier, boy was I wrong. What a mess. Playback in the timeline is laggy and it seems like the audio is just a bit behind even though technically it is in sync. Makes it very difficult for precise cutting to a quick beat. Main problem though is when I go to Export the Media. As soon as the progress reached a spot in the sequence that I know was not fully rendered in the timeline, the display flashed and then froze the MacPro. I had to manually shutdown. Then I tried to render all the clips still with the yellow bar so that the entire sequence was green. I had to do it in small increments because if I tried to render more than about 10 seconds of the sequence the same crash occurred. Once the entire sequence had the green render bar I tried to Export again. Sure enough, once in Encoder the processing starts out normal, but then as the export continues the processing starts to slow down and then came to a crawl, literally 5 minutes to process perhaps one 5 second clip until it got about halfway and bang, the same flashes and weird pixelation patterns on my displays and then the MacPro  froze. Again I had to do manual shutdown and then start back up. After struggling with this till 3 in the morning I did notice that at some point when I reopened Premiere I got the following missing render error msg. "This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Open CL), which is not available on this system. Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Cuda) will be used." Ok, so something tells me there is an issue with my NVidia Quadro 4000 and Premiere CC.
If anyone has figured out a solution please let me know. Right now I just can't afford to buy a new Mac so I'm hoping perhaps a simple solution or even purchasing a different acceleration card to replace the Quadro 4000 will do the trick.

Yes, latest version of Yosemite, all drivers are up to date. All fans working. I have always used 2x 23" Apple Cinema displays, but they are using the GEForce8800 Graphics card that came with the Mac Pro in the other PCI slot. So the Quadro 4000 is not connected to any displays. Internal Media RAID is 3TB with 2.4 TB still available. I did not keep any settings from old CS6 version of Premiere. Here's an update for you. Its the Quadro 4000 for sure. I talked to PNY, the manufacturer, and they said to pull it out of the Mac and see if the problem goes away. So I did, and of course the problem went away. I also tried installing it in different PCI slots, but to no avail.  I also bought a brand new 3TB internal Seagate drive and I did a clean install of latest Yosemite and all the necessary drivers for the Quadro 4000 and installed Premiere CC on it. I had the exact same issues when running PP CC on the new internal drive. So that pretty much tells that its most likely a defective Quadro 4000. Unless you can think of something else that I am overlooking.
