CS6 Screen mode options

Hey,
I'm trying to find an option (if there is one) to change the Standard Screen Mode background to transparent like in Photoshop CS5 and earlier.
I do like working in full screen mode with a dark grey background but miss being able to flick back to transparent to see all my files and the desktop.
Can anyone help? I'm using a Mac if that helps.

CS6 opens now by default in "Application Frame". You can go Windows>Application Frame and uncheck to go back to previous. You can still use the F key to cycle through the three Screen Mode views.

FULL SCREEN MODE option

Hi,
I think what they are trying to say is similar to the problem I am having. I have inserted a SWF file by going to insert>animation.. What I am trying to do is have the playbar in the SWF file appear so that there would be a total of two playbars... one with the SWF file animation, and the other that controls the entire captivate file.
Unfortunately Captivate does not give the "FULL SCREEN" option, so ultimately I have created a SWF file that has the FULL SCREEN MODE option. I am trying to get this playbar to appear
Please let me know if anyone has found a solution to this problem or if I need to further elaborate on my issue.

Do not show the Mac menu bar and the Dock in full-screen mode option not available

"Remote Desktop Connection" for mac has an option to
hide the menu bar in full screen mode. I am unable to locate this option in the new
Microsoft Remote Desktop. Without this option the remote desktop connection bar becomes completely inaccessible. And since the old "remote desktop connection" program has poor support for windows 8.1 I cannot go back.
Is there a workaround? Can you please add this important feature back in?

Screen Mode Option

For one document is ok
app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0].screenMode = ScreenModeOptions.PREVIEW_OFF;
but for all opened document, it alert error
app.documents.layoutWindows[0].screenMode = ScreenModeOptions.PREVIEW_OFF;

@Creativejoan – how do you address all the layoutWindow objects?
That should work:
app.documents.everyItem().layoutWindows.everyItem().screenMode = ScreenModeOptions.PREVIEW_OFF;

Screen Mode Madness

I really, really hate the "maximize screen mode option". I usually work in the "full screen with menu bar" but as soon as I close an image while in that view, the app switches back over to that stupid maximize mode. Has anybody figured out a way to avoid this? Why would the app switch viewing modes after closing a file? I must be doing something wrong or missed a setting somewhere.
Is there any suggestions...short of hitting the f key a bunch of times everytime I open a file.

My way of dealing with it was to make F13 and Shift F13 into customized shortcuts to toggle between Standard and Full screen so that I never again have to see Maximized.

How can i print an Excel file when in the full screen mode (no print options on toolbar or right clk

using Vista, sometimes after creating and saving an excel file, the document is not visible when the file is reopened.
selecting full screen mode makes the document visible, but the toolbars disappear and the print option does not show up on a right click. How can i print the document and see the document in some other mode than full screen?

In order to print, you can click the CTRL+P keys to launch the print dialog,
Regarding the missing toolbar, try clicking the ALT key to shouw the software menu, then look around under the view option for any available toolbar settings,
If you cannot find it, i would recommend you to try the Microsoft support forums, as they have some more knowledge with their software features

IPad Web App full screen mode Network Connectivity Retry Option

Hi,
I have developed a web application in HTML5 for iPad (full screen mode). Now I am testing the application on iPad for connectivity scenario i.e. to see how the app behaves when the connectivity is lost and then resumed after some time.
Steps -
Launch the web application in full screen mode from home screen (connected to a wifi network).
Click on any button to submit the form and at the same time turn off external wifi modem.
A pop-up message appears with the options to close or retry.
Now turn on the modem and click on retry.
The expectation is that on clicking retry the data in the web form should be sent to the web server, but instead of POST request, a GET request is being sent. Because of this, the data filled in the form is lost as the page is simply refreshed.
Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue.

This is more of a feature of the browser already.
With iOS6, Mobile Safari on the iPhone introduced full-screen browsing support in landscape mode.

One isn't able to take advantage of this feature in portrait mode though. However, the meta tag you're referring to in order to hide Safari UI Components requires the webapp to be added to the Homescreen; then when you launch the site through the icon on the Homescreen, you would find the UI components hidden.
Also, the latest version of Chrome for iOS released a couple of days ago includes the ability to view pages in fullscreen as well (for both landscape and portrait modes) with scrolling gestures enabling the hiding and showing of the omnibox and toolbar while navigating down a page.

Some of the options not enabled when cursor is placed on it.Eg:Ask a question in this screen Only in full screen mode it is enabled

On a normal screen some of the functions are not enabled when cursor is placed on it.For example,in rediffmail the folders,settings, sign out, functions are not enabled in normal screen when cursor is placed on it.On full screen mode these are enabled.

Have you got anything like addblockers or script blockers installed which may cause this problem ?
Ensure you have javascript enabled

Keyboard access to PS CS6 Menu Bar in Full Screen Mode (Windows)

I'm looking to find a way to access Photoshop Menus in Full Screen Mode by pressing the Alt+(any of the underlined Menu Keys).
The alternative I've been using is pressing the Tab key to show the Menu and Panels, or simply toggling Screen Modes (f key or Shift+f) but that negates the purpose of Full Screen Mode. I followed the instructions on this post to no avail:

I really enjoy everything else about my upgrade to CS6 except for this lacking feature found in most of the earlier versions. I hope there's an answer to this one, as my keyboard hand is all ready over cluttered with Custom Keyboard Shortcuts that use the Ctrl Key.

Seeing small top portion of taskbar in CS6 full screen mode

I don't know what changed, but i just started seeing the very top portion of the taskbar in full screen mode. It is just a thin line that gives you access to the taskbar without minimizing CS6. I did not see this a few days ago. I am running Windows 7 64 bit on a loaded PC.

I took a screen shot, but the problem is not apparent. The taskbar is a very thin white line and open applications show as a very small white rectangle. This enables you to acess an open application from the taskbar without minimizing photoshop. When you bring a cursor to the bottom of the screen the taskbar opens. It did not do this until recently. What I don't like is I am always opening the taskbar by mistake and have to wait for it to close.

Screen mode with floating windows missing in Photoshop cs6?

How can I show two images open in Photoshop CS6 - next to each other?
Going through the screen modes by pressing F like in Photoshop CS5 doesn't get me there. That screen mode with the floating windows seems to be missing.
I need it for comparisions and for dragging layers between the two images.
Is the floating window screen mode achievable in CS6 or how else can I put two opened images next to each other on Photoshop's workspace?

It's so amusing: you get a new version of Photoshop and one of your well-known features is not where it used to be. Immediately an ancient fear takes over that the feature might have gone away.
Which is, of course, never happening. There's even "sharpen" and "sharpen more" available in Photoshop.
Bottom line: the new way of doing things are actually even better. You just need to pull the images off their tabs.

CS6 Full Screen Mode Feature Needed.

I bought the CS6 Master Collection about a year ago and was surprised that I was unable to put Photoshop, FlashBuilder or any other CS6 application in full screen mode like my other Mac applications do. The only thing I can do is resize the application window and hide the dock.
Is there going to be an update to show support for CS6 users and allow us to use these programs in full screen mode? I think it would be fantastic if that happened. Then I could use hand gestures on my track pad or mouse to switch between applications that I have currently running all while staying in full screen mode within each one.
I'm thankful for Retina screen support but a larger canvas is ideal for creative development in my opinion. I work on the 15" Retina MacBookPro primarily because I'm so dang mobile in my work/lifestyle and I value every square inch of the screen.
Adobe Please Give Us (CS6 users) Full Screen Mode.
BTW: I still consider my self a new user as I'm still learning how to use these applications. If by some small chance there is already a way to do this please respond and tell me how. Thanks.

PS CS6, Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar, Zoom, Brush, Auto Pan

There seems to be a functionality that was lost (or I can't find it) in CS6 that was in earlier versions. When I am In Full Screen Mode with Menu and the image I am editing is zoomed in, I used to be able to shift+click my brush to extend a line. That line would automatically reposition the image when I got to the edge of the screen. Does anyone know if that functionality is gone or do I need to turn "something on”?
1. I open a file
2. I ender Full Screen Mode with Menu Bar
3. I enlarge the photo so that its boundaries are beyond the edge of the screen
4. I enter mask mode (doesn't matter what mode)
5. With my brush tool I start to paint a line by holding the "shift" key and "left-click"
6. I get to the edge of the screen
* this is where PS would reposition the image automatically and I could keep painting my line

Why won't the font formatting options appear in the format bar in full screen mode?

The font formatting options (bold, italic, and underline, and left, center, right, and justified) do NOT appear in the format bar in full screen mode.
I'm running version 2.2 of iBooks Author and 10.10 of the OS X.

Z1 Compact, No LTE option in Network Mode Option Screen

I recently purchased an unlocked Z1 Compact for my wife, she is on 3 and I cannot see the LTE option in the Network Mode option screen. I swapped out her sim for my 3 sim which I have been using in my Moto X and I know I have LTE. I tried changing the option in the *#*#4636#*#* screen but I cannot select the LTE option. Any ideas why I cannot select LTE please?

For some reason LTE is disabled for Three in the current UK firmware. Flash the European firmware from here and you will get working LTE. Tested and working on Three UK.

I'd suggest unticking the cust-reset.ta in the flash list (middle column in the tool)
This is official Sony firmware, OTA updates still work, it will not unlock your bootloader, root, or anything else. Can't comment on Warranty status, don't see why it should void it to be honest.
