CS6 Serial number is rejected

I had to remove Adobe Acrobat X on my PC / Windows 7 since I could not open a pdf document. When finished installing a new copy through Set-up.exe my SN was rejected?

You have to handle serial number questions by using Adobe web chat or calling Adobe Customer Service. We can't help you here, sorry.

Unable to find CS6 serial number purchased via school website. [was: upsetting..]

So, i've been a Cs6 user for about 2 years now purchased the software through my school website that goes through adobe. Everything went great... until just recently my computer was at it's worst and i unfortunately had to reset it to factory settings deleting my cs6 software and i thought i could just come and redownload it through my profile, but ironically they cannot find any records of my purchase and with my computer being cleared i do not have proof of purchase, and i watched horrified as the massive amounts of money to buy the programs goes down the toilet. I am in school, work 2 jobs to pay for my future wedding upcoming in january, expecting a baby in november, and in the process of purchasing a house. my school and work focus on my cs6 use and without it i'm at a strong disadvantage. So i do not have the money to pay for a new software and i'm definately not going to pay for monthly services for something i have already bought for ALOT of money already. I strongly suggest you either pay for the disc copy, or print your proof of purchase because as i had to learn the hard way you CANNOT trust this company to back you up with support after your software has been misplaced on your computer, and until they can find my purchase or assist my problem i will not be using their services as will my friends and family.

Adobe will support you if they can find evidence that you've purchased the software. If they can't, they're at a bit of a disadvantage themselves.
You can always re-download the software from Download CS6 products
However, that will install as a 30 day time limited trial version. You'll need to enter your CS6 serial number to license it again on your computer.
The serial number is what you need to find (then store safely for future reference).

Have you tried going back through where you bought the software? You would have registered the software when you first bought it.

You can install it on two computers simultaneously, so uninstalling is not needed if it's the only other installation.

Where is the serial number, it rejects all the invoice numbers

I bought your on-line pdf creator and when I launch adobe 9 it wants a serial number but rejects everything I find that might be one in your emails as having inappropriate characters. What to do? Check the sleeve the CD/DVD came in for the SN, I never had a problem. When I purchased the LR3 upgrade from LR2 I chose a hard copy not a download. On the CD sleeve was the SN, and after installing and opening for the first time LR3 prompted for the new SN (not the same as the LR2 SN). As I recall, this was the process. Install, open, enter the SN. This resulted in 2 versions of LR available to me; LR2 and LR3. I found the process painless and fast. Subsequently I downloaded updates to LR3.

Photoshop CS6 Serial Number Ineffective

My Photoshop CS6 serial number won't work. When entered I get a message telling me that two machines are in use and I must disconnect one of them. If I can find a way to get around this fine, otherwise i will need another "workable" serial number and would like to know how to go about getting one if this is the case.

You are only allowed to have the software activated on two machines at any given time. The way around this is to deactivate one of the installations if you are aware of where these two existing installations are.
If you are not aware of any other installations and/or this is a newly acquired serial number, then you need to contact Adobe Support by chat or by telephone.

I used to have CS6 and Lightroom downloaded on my computer but it fried and I had to replace it. On my new laptop, I tried downloading Lightroom and using my old serial number, but it didn't work. I was wondering if maybe it was Lightroom 4, and Adobe had released Lightroom 5 during the time when I didnt' have a computer. Can I use my CS6 serial if I download Lightroom 4?

No. The CS6 serial number is very specific: it only works for the product and operating system that it was purchased it for.
If you had, for example, Photoshop CS6 for Windows, that CS6 serial number would not even work on a Mac.
You'll need to locate your Lightroom 4 serial number.

Not very good office/employee management... but if you DID know who, and you had his/her Adobe ID, you could go to https://www.adobe.com/account.html for a list of activated programs

Indesign suddenly asking for serial number and rejecting the one I have

This question is very similar to that of act_writ from 19/10/2014 ("Sudden trouble opening InDesign - serial number rejected")
- I am asking again because that question was not answered.
We have InDesign CS6 on a Mac, purchased last year with a student license. It always worked and opened the program without asking for a login. All of a sudden yesterday it asked for a login and the serial number, but it rejects the serial number I have received when purchasing the product.
I am still a student so it should not have expired.
Any help would be appreciated - I am pretty desperate as the customer support agent I contacted could not help me.

A serial should be ok if it was ok.
Exceptions are: If the serial was used several times in a way which is causing doubts of its legal use, then will Adobe deactivate it (e.g. use of several serial in connection with illegal copies) or when Adobe shuts down the activation server as it was done with CS2, but the user could replace it with a common serial.
Normal, with a running program it will never ask for a serial, only if the user clean up his computer and delete some folder and files where activation files are hidden. But in that case the serial should be inserted with the next start or in the wort scenario you might uninstall all programs and install them again to be able to enter the serial.
For non English (including UK and US and International) versions users the serial can also fail when the localisation files are deleted.
Maybe that you exchange the serial with some other number or a number from another product which was bundled?

Lost Dreamweaver CS6 serial number

I have had Dreamweaver CS6 for a while without installing it, now I'm trying to install it and register it but I have lost the serial number. I have a copy of my purchase receipt from the reseller and have contacted the them every which way I can but have not received a response (there phone number is disconnected as well. I've also done multiple searches on the forums and tried every which way suggested with no success. i hate to post this because there are so many similar posts out there but so far im at a dead end. Is there any other way I can recover my serial number?

CS6 serial number upgrade not working (win)

I've been using CS6 for a while now (got an upgrade from CS5.5) and I'm trying to install it on my second computer and suddenly the serial number isn't correct. I'm using the serial number from CS6 (i've dubble checked the box and online) and I can't figure out why it's not working.
Could it have to do with the product I'm supposed to choose? I've tried all off them with 6 in it and still NOTHING

If you purchased an upgrade and it is askling you to choose the qualifying version, that would be the older version (CS5.5) that qualifies you to use the upgrade version. You will have to choose CS5.5 as well as provide the serial number that was used for CS5.5 when you activated it.
