CS6 serial number now invalid?

I bought CS6 student and teacher edition a while ago. I had all sorts of problems with the initialization. I installed one version on my macbook pro and one version on my macbook air as I work from home on one and travel with the other. About 1 month ago my illustrator, in design and photoshop ceased to open. I get an error message saying that my serial number is invalid, and already used on a maximum of two machines, that I need a new serial number. I have only ever had the program installed on two machines. I tried to install it on my old macbook pro but it was too old to take the newer version of the software so I couldn't even install it, let alone activate it. (The new macbook pro was a replacement).
I have no idea what to do. Other than uninstall and reinstall all the programs which is a complete pain.
With all the issues I had just getting the software this is the last thing I need

I was given a free download of CS6 Design Standard from my work, which I have used. Then, last week, I was uninstalling the trial version of the CS6 Master Suite (which I had also been using and had expired), but in doing so, I accidentally uninstalled the design standard. Now, when I go to re-install it with the same serial number I used before, Adobe says my serial number is invalid. How can this be? And how can I get my programs back? Please help!
EDIT: Turns out I was using the Mac serial instead of the Windows. Glad it was a quick fix!

Also, Verizon found a Trojan on my PC and removed it, it came from brushes I downloaded for PS. Either way I do it or try it now the serial is invalid.

Serial number now INVALID

I have been using the CS2 I downloaded free off Adobe a year ago. It has been working fine, until, today. Upon opening it up it tells me the serial is invalid. Not sure how that is possible when the serial is post on the Adobe page with the download. I put those serial numbers in and i still get invalid serial number. How do I fix it since i cannot call them

When I try to reinstall CS6 Design and Web Prem i get message that my serial number (Design and Web Prem <serial number removed>) is not valid? Why???? I have it installed now on just one computer only. It was installed also on a computer and a laptop. The laptop crashed and couldn't restart anymore. I had to through it away. After that I installed on another computer at a place where I work sometimes with photoshop. Then suddenly I got message at my computer home that the serialnumber is invalid. I installed for the time an try out version, and now I have deleted the version that I had on the computer but when i want to reinstall my legal bought version with the serial number that i mention there, I get again the message that my serial number is invalid. But now it is only installed on 1 other computer. If I check the sites, I have to contact Adobe but I don't know how. The link does not work and I cannot find any phonenumber.!!

CS6 - cannot activate my product after changing my PC config - I did deactivate it on my previous configuration - "serial number is invalid"

I recently changed my desktop PC configuration and unfortunately I cannot activate my CS6 Web&Design serial number on it - I receive "serial number is invalid" message when trying to activate it. I do have an active installation on my laptop, but I don't want to remove it and I should be able to have two computers activated to my serial number. I did deactivate the product on my old desktop PC, so it's no longer tied to it and one activation should be free.
Any help or should I wait for tomorrow and use the chat?

First check if the installation media that you have is correct or not, check which product and version it says on the title bar of the Serial number window.
Download the correct installer according to the language and the Operating system.
Download CS6 products
Second the language, try changing the language in the End User license agreement windows at the beginning of the installation to either English(North America) or International English.
The language option is on the top left corner of the EULA window.

Hi,
Did the serial number come from a boxed set and previously installed from disc and are you now trying to install from a download?
If so, that will not work - the serial numbers are different.
If you don't have a dvd drive on your new system, perhaps you could get someone to copy your disc to a memory stick and install from that.

First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

Old school with CS2. Haven't used in a while and am unable to use the program as it says my serial number is invalid. Customer service tells me the server for CS2 has been shut down. Then they sent me here for help. Does anyone have any advice?

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

Unable to find CS6 serial number purchased via school website. [was: upsetting..]

So, i've been a Cs6 user for about 2 years now purchased the software through my school website that goes through adobe. Everything went great... until just recently my computer was at it's worst and i unfortunately had to reset it to factory settings deleting my cs6 software and i thought i could just come and redownload it through my profile, but ironically they cannot find any records of my purchase and with my computer being cleared i do not have proof of purchase, and i watched horrified as the massive amounts of money to buy the programs goes down the toilet. I am in school, work 2 jobs to pay for my future wedding upcoming in january, expecting a baby in november, and in the process of purchasing a house. my school and work focus on my cs6 use and without it i'm at a strong disadvantage. So i do not have the money to pay for a new software and i'm definately not going to pay for monthly services for something i have already bought for ALOT of money already. I strongly suggest you either pay for the disc copy, or print your proof of purchase because as i had to learn the hard way you CANNOT trust this company to back you up with support after your software has been misplaced on your computer, and until they can find my purchase or assist my problem i will not be using their services as will my friends and family.

Adobe will support you if they can find evidence that you've purchased the software. If they can't, they're at a bit of a disadvantage themselves.
You can always re-download the software from Download CS6 products
However, that will install as a 30 day time limited trial version. You'll need to enter your CS6 serial number to license it again on your computer.
The serial number is what you need to find (then store safely for future reference).

I finally figured out how to install CS2 from my download files. However, when I tried to run Photoshop it says "user name, organization or serial number is invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit". And it does.......................
Now what?
Don't know if this matters, but I only installed Photoshop and Image Ready.

did you have old ps2 files on your computer? if so, cleaning everything out may help resolve that problem.
