CS6 set up on Windows 8.1

Download of CS6 to a Windows 8.1 PC is fine but, trying to run Setup from within the folder as instructed does not want to work, I just receive the message that "installer failed to initialise, could be due to missing file". It suggests downloading support advisor to detect the problem however, this has been discontinued. Any help gratefully accepted.

I don't recall this problem pre-OSX. Opening MAIL (in Snow Leopard) results in a window that completely fills my iMac's 27" monitor, almost 100% of the time – even though when exiting MAIL I have all windows to a manageable size.

Shrink the window to the size you want, quit mail (may not even have to do that), and then the window will be that size until you change it. Similarly for new message windows. Mail remembers (or should remember) the size you set its various windows to.

Hmm, you say you did that. So what happens if you try this from another account? Also, FWIW, the mail preferences are kept in com.apple.mail.plist. If you are willing to potentially loose your mail settings and recreate them then you could try removing that and starting over.

You should be able to copy from a drive even if it is setup for Windows.

Problems on NW PI 7.1 after setting up a Windows Domain

Hello Experts,
we have had a SAP system running without a windows domain name. Everything works fine until we need to set up a windows domain because of the "full qualified domain name error".
Now after setting up the domain we have problems to access the PI system by SAP Logon from a client. Within the server everything works fine with SAP Logon.

Hi Moog,
Check if server hostname and server IP is pingable from client.
If yes then check for dispatcher port connectivity using telnet
telnet server ip 32<instance number>
Paste the results , adding server to domain will not harm unless its pingable from client.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Apps 11i, you do not have to set it manually, just source the environment file and this will set all environment variables for you.
- To source the application env file, run envshell.cmd under %APPL_TOP%
- To source the database env file, run <SID>_<hostname>.cmd under %RDBMS_ORACLE_HOME%

Lol. Adobe has known about this stupid problem for about 4 years. Since Vista x64 started gaining popularity. Acrobat 8.x was the first version where people really started scratching their heads wondering why & when the problem would be fixed. Then came Acrobat 9. And now "X". Still not fixed, well, I'm sure next year we'll have Acrobat 11, so keep holding your breath.

I have to say it took me a bit to get used to Lion, I began complaining all day until I decided to take some time to learn it, and now I like it very much, I see the advantages over 10.6.
But still, there are some things I don't know about, and the window of opportunity to take time to learn more has closed. And I don't know when it'll open again.
So, that's why I have joined the community, because now I'm trying to use everthing on full-screen mode, and as I was setting my desktops to work on a project in which I will be needing a lot of finder windows open with a lot of items each, I instantly asked myself:
Is it possible to set the finder windows to full screen? because I don't see any buttons.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing at the moment. But I thought it would be nice to have the little full screen button just to press it so.
Besides, I'm still figuring out the finder windows' behaviour. I discovered that if you open a folder from a window that has the toolbar, the new folder would also open with a toolbar, even if you already had it set it up with just the status bar.
And one thing that still enervates me is that if you have a window with two items, and you press the green button to fit the borders up tight, instead of leavin' the 2 items in a horizontal arrangement, it moves one to the bottom and puts a slider. Arrgh.
Another thing I haven't understood is why one folder I have on the dock sometimes opens with a column layout instead of the icon layout I have arranged for it before. Totally random 4 now, can't find the why.
Anyway... I'm going to order some lapel pins about 2 flags I designed for two embassies. Anyone know a good place for doing that?

i set the classpath in Dos prompt by:

however, the following message appear:

Thanks for posting on forum. Windows Vista is not a supported platform for Adobe Premiere pro CS6 but, you can try the installation on Vista and check if it gets installed on it. Also, if it gets installed you might face further issues while using the product.

After several time installed CS6 and a clean Windows 8.1 bridge still pause after selecting a picture or right click with button mouse.

My bridge pause all the time. I have to wait 30 seconds after selecting a picture or click the right button of the mouse. I have installed a new windows 8.1, and a fresh CD6. But still these problems in Bridge. No problems in Photoshop. What to do

What is the problem:
When I choose a picture in Bridge I have to wait 20 till 30 seconds (sometimes more).
When I choose with right click of the mouse. I have to wait the same time.
When I choose the menu. Also
After opening the picture(s) in Camera RAW. There are no problems
In Photoshop there are also no problems. Everything works all right.
Only Bridge have these problems. But I can’t work with it.

Setting up the windows variable

Hello i need the first step, how do i set up my windows variable so i can conline my java programs? thanks

Before running the J2EE SDK, you must set these environment variables:
* J2EE_HOME - the directory where you installed this release.
* JAVA_HOME - the directory where the Java 2 SDK Standard Edition is installed.
* PATH - include the bin directory beneath the directory where you've installed this release.
If you don't know how to set environment variables:
right mouse click on my pc - properties - tab advanced - button environment variables.
This should do it.

Problems opening cs6 on pc w/ windows 7

I am not able to open trial version photoshop cs6 on pc with windows 7

I am not getting any error at all. It shows that it is installed but there is nowhere that I can open it to run. As for the specs, windows 7, 250gb hard drive raeodon graphics and for the rest I will have to look.
