The same happens if I try to run CS5 instead. How do I resolve this?

I have uninstalled color effex pro 4, the plug in running when CS6 crashed. CS5 and CS6 now run OK. On re-installing color efex pro 4, they both crash again. If color efex pro 4 file had been corrupted, I would have thought that re-instalation would solve the problem. CS5 and CS6 are both fully up to date. I'm wondering if I should uninstal CS6 and re-instal it. I just don't want to loose a 'life' on CS6.

The software disc should appear on the Desktop (or in the sidebar of a Finder window).
Double-click the disc icon (or select it in the sidebar).
On the disc, there should is often an Installer, or the application itself.

Dreamweaver (part of CS6) will not run on 64 bit Windows 8 PC

This package ran okay on my Windows 7 64 bit PC. I upgraded the Windows 7 PC to 64 bit Windows 8. Reinstalled all software including CS6. Dreamweaver will not start and comes up with a Error 7b. I have updated all the drivers including the graphics card. It seems that all CS6 programs that load up in a 32 bit mode are suspect in Windows 8. I have downloaded and updated all Adobe programs but still a problem. Looking for ideas as Adobe help is only Monday to Friday.

When you upgraded Win7 to Win8, was that process itself a clean install - meaning did you reformat the hard drive (or use a separate hard drive) thereby installing a fresh copy of Win 8?
I recently upgraded to Win 8 64bit as well, and from Win7 64bit, but I didn't want to run the risk of loosing access to any of my Win7 Apps or files should I find Win8 unbearable, so I ran the upgrade on a separate hard drive, which gave me the option to boot into either 7 or 8. Actually, Vista is on a third drive, left over from my Win7 upgrade in 2009. ;-)
I'm about 3 weeks in, and so far I have had no problems at all with any CS6 app on Windows 8. 8 seems faster, more responsive, but that could be because it's a new installation.

Ipad will not connect to open internet or app store

I have synced my ipad with my computer. It listed on my updated ITunes account. But, the Ipad will not connect to the internet to open the store or my apps. Also Safari will not open and says can not connect to internet. I have tried "resetting" everything, but still unable to open anything. What should I try next?

Really enjoyed the Apple Store. The "Genius" was pretty helpful. Since he could not be in MY environment, he was able to prove that my IPad was able to connect to the Apple Store network, no problem. So my device is not faulty. He told me how to reapproach the hook up at home that evening, but felt I probably really most benefit by contacting our Verizon Tech Support for specific info on our router connection. That is what was must helpful. When I called Verizon, they were quick to explain all the coding on our router box and that I needed the Wep Key Code entered as "password" (not anything we would have created). And that all O's in the code were the NUMBER Zero, not the letter, which helped. THEN, he pointed out that I needed to POWER OUT completely on the IPad, which I had not discovered before to do an official RESET! I had just been tapping the button at the top of the device, which only moves the device into "Sleep" mode. But, by HOLDING DOWN the button I got the prompt to slide to the bar over to POWER OFF! Of course, this did the trick. I was THEN able to attempt my RE-connect, with the proper CODE and it worked immediately! Yippee!!! Safari connected immediately to the internet and the App store opened with no problems. I think I am good to go! Thanks for your time and help.

Photoshop CS6 Will Not Run in Cloud

Have 1 yr Cloud membership. Using Windows 7.
Have used download manager to download all the apps I want. Most of them work OK with just signing with my adobe ID. (Acrobat, After Effects, Dreamweaver etc)
However, Photoshop insists on having a serial number ...instaed of just opening as a cloud authorization.
Ive had a previous CS6 Photoshop Extended trial that I deleted in Control Panel and rebooted.
So I have never been able to run Photoshop Extended in the Cloud...what do I have to do? Frustrated.
ALSO, It seems like I saw Encore being available as part of the cloud...but it didnt show up in the download manager.
How can I get Encore?

I am using the Adobe Applications Manager in Windows 7.
It has installed most other cloud applications and they seem to open.
Photoshop CS6 Extended 64 bit still refuses to take the Cloud ID sign in...and it wants a full serial number as if it were a trial. I sign in with my pre-filled Adobe ID just prior to that step...so im expecting that everything is OK...but then it takes me to the serial number screen. Obviously, I dont have a serial number. So I have never been able to open Photoshop in Cloud. I can not deactivate it because I cant open it. I checked that my previous Photoshop trial software has been deleted again and is gone.
Any special registry or some other tricks I need to do to make Photoshop open correctly with the Cloud ID?

Reinstalled CS6 will not boot up. Cannot get anyone at Adobe to help.

I own CS6. It worked fine until Adobe offered a trial of the extension version. That was OK. But the trial version stopped working. I assumed the trial was over. But my own resident version of CS6 then did not work. I uninstalled and just reinstalled it. Same problem. I cannot boot up CS6. Nothing on the Adobe site appears to address this sequence of events. I still get the sales pop-up, but with the "continue trial" greyed out. What's going on?
HOW DO I GET THE CS6 THAT I PURCHASED TO WORK AGAIN AFTER THE EXTENTION TRIAL and AFTER I REINSTALLED IT? It's very frustrating to not be able to get a response from Adobe on something I have owned for only 8 months.

Without any further details from you, all I can suggest is to Uninstall CS6 with the Adobe Uninstaller, run the Adobe CS Tool cleaner, then reinstall CS and apply all necessary updates.

After a recent Adobe update, CS6 will not run on my OSX 10.8

The icon appears disabled. When selecting the app I get the error msg: "You can't open the application "Adobe Photoshop CW6.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
CS6 worked fine after upgrading to Mountain Lion. It appears an update that I downloaded from Adobe earlier this week could be the cause.

Sounds like something messed up the binary, or the OS settings for the app.
Try reinstalling Photoshop, and deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.photoshop.plist

Text problem - will not run on...gets cut off

I need my text to appear to the right hand side of an image, so on the left of the screen is the image, and to the right is the text.
Is there an option to make the text run on, underneath itself? It keeps running along and gets cut off the edge of the screen!

yeah, just hit 'enter' when you want a line break. it's not like MS Word where it breaks when you hit a margin. once you are done typing your text you can center it or make it left or right adjusted.

Lightroon CC upgrade will not run on windows 8.1

Ran Adobe Creative Cloud updates today, all updates installed and are working OK except for Lightroom, it will not run when opened, no error messages appear and windows trouble shooter reports it as lightroom is incompatible. I have done a complete manual uninstall, reinstalled and the problem still exists. Does anyone have the same problem or a possible fix

After installing lightroom CC you must sign out and oce again sign in from the creative cloud.
Do this by:
Preferences>Account>Log out from the creative Cloud.
Let me know if it worked.

Adobe Bridge CS6 will not open

Just started trial of Adobe Photoshop CC ( CS6 and Bridge CS 6)
Photoshop downloaded ok but Bridge CS6 will not open after installation.
I have used Adobe Bridge with CS2 before but since removing CS2 and installing CS6 and Adobe Bridge 6 64Bit Adobe Bridge will not open.

CS2 seems to conflict with CS6. One user found this to work. AppData is a hidden folder in case you try this.
I finally got it to launch via instructions from another web page. In my case, I am running Win 7 Professional 64-bit and previously loaded Photoshop and Bridge versions CS2 (along with Illustrator and InDesign CS2), which might have been part of the problem. The solution for me was to create an empty "Bridge CS2" folder in the C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\. Worked like a charm.
You might have to use the Adobe Script Cleaner to get rid of traces of the CR2 files.

Photoshop cs6 will not open graphic files, i have reset the settings. I get to see all the files in preview but when I try to open a file nothing happens, no error messages, no file opens, nothing.
When I use bridge I try to open the file with open in photoshop cs6 but again nothing happens. I found that if I reboot my PC photoshop will work correctly until I shut photoshop down but if I reopen it later before rebooting my pc now graphics files will open.

Since updating my imac 27" it will not let me open any of my programs and is saying to reinstall all, cant even get into safari. please help!!

Since updating my Imac 27" 8 month old computer it will not let me open up any programs including safiri and iphoto. it is pretty much saying that i need to install all the program again, which i can not afford nor have the time too. can someone please help me be able to get it back to the way it was or help me to fix it so i can keep using it with this software update

For starters, you could boot from the OS X install DVD that came with your iMac (insert the disk, reboot and hold down the "C" key after the bong). On that disk is Disk Utility; run that, choose the iMac's hard disk, and run Repair Disk. If errors are found and repaired, try running it again until it's deemed OK.
If that doesn't help, try to get the OS 10.6.8 combo updater from Apple and run that. It will replace a lot of the Apple software that's already on your iMac and may refresh things so that they'll work.
