CS6 won't install Installer won't initialize

Brand new Windows 7 professional Toshiba lap top. Installed fine when I took it out of the box.
Had an error booting up the machine a couple days later and had to restore to a previous back up point. This made all installed programs, including InCopy CS6, MS Office go away.
Could not re-install any of the programs. Ran MS Fix It program to delete Office and was able to re-install just fine. It does not show Adobe CS6 or InCopy as an option to delete using the fix it tool. After removing Office it says the registry is fine.
But now when I try to install CS6 InCopy I get an error that says the "Installer Failed to Initialize" and to download a diagnostic tool that no longer exists.
where do I go from here?

uninstall all cs6 programs (if there are any),
clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6)
then reinstall.

Trying to link from Premiere Pro SpeedGrade says that the Premiere Pro is a newer version and it can't link...in a red box.

I uninstalled and reinstalled SpeedGrade via Create Cloud. Note that this requires restarting Creative Cloud since the "Retry" button after the failure covers the settings gear where uninstall is available.
After the install it says "Installation succeeded, but a patch failed". In red. With a red warning triangle. Same error as above...actually the error above is from this failure.
As a result I can't access SpeedGrade and can't get the failure corrected. How can this be fixed?

I had to reinstall to run CC Cleaner...which ran. Directories were gone in Programs\Adobe and under Roaming. (Versions 6 and 7 where there). Rebooted...Installed...no progress.These are messages and the excerpt of the file. I highlighted the warn, error, and fatal lines.
Unless this is a known problem with a known software fix, I think we need to identify where it is pulling the information that causes the failure so that I can manually delete it. I have over 8 hours in this problem...not a good situation.

Adobe air Won't install apps; won't even install

I tried installing the new seesmic desktop app and kept claiming the package was damaged, so I used perfect uninstaller to uninstall adobe air and tried a reinstall, it now says I need admin rights which is odd because I'm logged into an admin account.

Try this:
Make sure everything is closed on you computer. Before trying to reinstall turn on Hidden Files and Folders. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\ and delete the AIR folder. Then clear your Temp files from C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp. Empty your trash can. Try reinstall.

Update won't install, CD won't play

I know, odd combination of problems.
I have no idea if they are connected, but the other day I ran Software Update, the latest update for Leopard was available (10.5.4, I think), I got a warning that the computer wasn't attached to a power source, I had a full charge and was confident I had plenty of power, so I tried to proceed with the update. When I restarted, the progress window came up, telling me the installation had begun, the blue bar got about 1/8th of an inch from the starting gate and stayed there, and stayed there.
I had the time, so I just left the room and mowed the lawn, and when I came back there had been no progress, the computer was frozen as best as I can tell, so I shut it down and restarted. This time the install window didn't come up and I was able to get it to boot fully. I ran Software Update again and it told me that the same update was available, which gave me the impression that it hadn't installed the first time.
I tried again, this time with the power adapter plugged in, I didn't get the warning about not being plugged in, but the install froze at the same point.
Then, later that day, I inserted a CD that I wanted to rip, the Superdrive made the usual noises, but they last longer than usual and eventually the CD just ejected. Usually, if iTunes is not open and I insert a CD doing so will open iTunes automatigically. This time no. I tried opening iTunes first and then inserting the CD. Same thing happened. Ejected. I scanned some threads here and tried another recommended trick, holding the Powerbook so that the slot for the Superdrive was facing the ceiling, but that didn't work either.
I just bought this machine from an Apple certified technician, I know it's risky, but I trusted him and wanted this 12" form factor more than anything else on the market. I'm totally bummed about this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response, especially since you are the only person to respond, but I checked out the link you provided and it doesn't sound to me like that is the problem at all:
+Over time, the settings in the Power Manager may become unusable, which can result in operational anomalies with the computer. Examples include not turning on, not waking from sleep, not charging the battery, or not seeing the AC Adapter, among others.+
+Resetting the PMU is not intended for resolution of a stall or situation in which the computer is unresponsive. A PMU reset should not be necessary except as a last resort in cases where a hardware failure of the power management system is suspected. Performing a PMU reset returns the iBook and PowerBook hardware, including NVRAM, to default settings and forces the computer to shut down.+
+For most situations, a restart is sufficient. If the computer has stopped responding, try these steps, in order, until the computer responds:+
+1. Force Quit (Option-Command-Escape)+
+2. Restart (Control-Command-Power)+

I have not been having any problems at all charging my battery or using the power adapter. I mentioned the power error, but I really think that that's more of a word of caution and a suggestion that it's best to be using the power adapter when for update installation because you want to make sure not to run out of power. But, I chose to proceed using the battery precisely because I have so much faith that it was fully charged and would last plenty long for the download and installation to run. Also, it specifically says that the reset should not be done if Force Quit, Restart, or Force Shut Down are working, and they indeed do continue to work.
So, with all due respect, I'm really hoping for some other ideas.

Try a device reset then:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Dreamweaver cs6 installation won't install

dreamweaver cs6 installation won't install. The download assistant downloads and initializes the installation, but after it begins to download nothing comes up or is installed. What can I do to resolve this issue.

CS6 won't install

I've downloaded Photoshop CS6 Windows three times and it won't install. I keep getting the error message "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." Downloaded Support Advisor and it finds no problem. Trying to install on Windows 7-64 with 8 GB RAM. Extracted three different downloads three times - same problem each time.

Could not install with Windows XP-Pro and CS3 and CS5 currently installed. Installation went through much of the installation and failed before completion. First time the Support Advisor mentioned lots of stuff about CS3 so I removed CS3 and reinstalled. This failed again and had no idea what the Support Advisor was now telling me. Although bridge.exe was created, photoshop.exe was not. --dan

Indesign CS6 won't install on Windows 7 64bit via GPO

Good afternoon,
I created a installation of Indesign CS6 with application manager enterprise 3 to deploy to computers via the active directory.
It installs correctly without issue to Windows XP x86 machines however won't install to Windows 7 x64 machines.
When the computers starts it trys to install but fails and proceeds to the login screen. The following information is left in the Windows event log.
Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly know how to solve it?

Hi Abhijit,
I am able to install InDesign CS6 manually on the machines from the CD/DVD however when trying to install it via GPO or running the msi using the msi exec commands it doesn't install and leaves the above errors in the event log.
The installation was made using the same CD/DVD and the installation works on the Windows XP clients and software other than InDesign CS6 will install to the Win 7 64-bit machines via GPO.

It seems like that you are having some issues with the permission on the system . I would request you to please navigate to /Lib and~/Lib and give full permission to these folders and then try installing the product again .
Steps to give permission :
Go >Go To Folder > /LIb > Get Info > Navigate to the bottom of the pop up window and click on the setting tab and give Read & Write permission.
Once you are done with the above mentioned steps , please let us know if that worked for us or not .

Premiere CS6 in Mac installer won't even open

I've installed Premiere CS6 before with the same system (Mac OS X 10.8.2) and the same installer, then uninstalled it with the adobe's uninstaller (provided by Premiere itself). Now when I try to install it again, the installer won't even start - I double click installer, an animation of Mac shows it has opened, however, nothing happens. No windows appear, nothing, not even an error or any warning. Tried using clean up tool, only shows Photoshop in it, nothing related to Premiere.
The Premiere is the Pro version, not Element.
My MacBook is the lastest Pro Retina 15 inch base model.
Please help I'm so sick and tired of Final Cut Pro's autosaves it fails me half of the time... I really need Premiere...
Edit: BTW I've already tried rebooting and deleting the previous Premiere user files. No luck.

The fact that you don't have any install logs would seem to indicate that you were not able to click on the install button. Because FM10 began crashing with "fatal" errors whenever I tried to generate a TOC for a small (65 page) book, I researched workarounds and none of them worked. Now that I have delivered a crippled deliverable via Acrobat manipulations, I would like to fix FM. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, got some updates, and then received the "licensing fix" error that popped up in January. I'm wondering why this fix was included not in the updates. That said, the licensing fix package, first, would not unzip so I downloaded it again. I unzipped it but I got a message that Adobe Updater Installer could not run and after several clicks I found that file. I reinstalled Adoble Update Installer but it still does not run.
I am running Windows XP and have TCS 3.5.I uninstalled FM and RH but not Acrobat, Captivate, or Photoshop.
So, now what? Listen to my supervisor who says never use FM again?
P.S. Why do I have to enter a title for my question and then do it again when this page opens??

Give Adobe Support a call or contact the TCS team at [email protected] - something in your environment is causing the installer to fail (I'd guess).

Creative Cloud Installer doesn't won't install anything and won't uninstall itself. Nothing in system tray and doesn't show uo in force quit applications

I ran the installation which opened a blank window with a loading animation. Nothing happened. I rebooted and now Creative Cloud installer won't load, I can't uninstall using the uninstaller because it says the application is running though I see nosing of it. I have downloaded the dog file and tried a second installation but that just quits out after a second of attempting to run. Any advice?

Error "insufficient premissions to install AMDS" Tried numerous uninstall / reinstall combinations, installed iTunes as administrator, etc. Somethings not right. What the Heck ?

Downloading and installing iTunes will not fix this problem. If the other troubleshooting steps do not work, go to the Control Panel and uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Services, Quicktime and any other Apple program that might be present. Reboot your computer, then download and install the latest version of iTunes.

Okay ... so it's not one of the cases of bodged up ACLs on the Apple folder in Common Files. (That's been underlying a few of the recalcitrant E7W5s.
