CSA Central System Adm : open tasks

Hello,
I configure Solution 'SolA', with Logical comp 'LC-A' and defined system Dev-A, Qual-A and Prod-A to it.
Handling the open-tasks works great.
But now I created a new Solution 'SolB' with another LogicalComponent and defined also system Prod-A to it.
I copied the customisation of CSA to 'SOLB'-Prod-A.
Now I have got two views of the open tasks.
I want to get rid of the first set of 'open tasks' in Solution A.
How do I do that.
regards
Steven

Hi,

  • System monitoring, open tasks are no longer visible in Tcode DSWP

    Hello!
I have patched my Solution Manager with the newest support packages and have the problem with system monitoring, open tasks. All the systems have a long_sid.
I have implemented the SAP notes 1065285 and 1076772, but it was not sucessfull.
<b>As well as open tasks as system monitoring are no longer visible in the Tcode DSWP.</b>
Has some one the same problem or can help me to solve this problem?
    Thank you very much
    regards
    Thom

    Hello Thom,
did have a look at SAP Note 1038134?
If you are using Solution Mnager roles for System Monitoring the authorization check has changed and you need to maintain authorization object S_SOLM_ACT.

  • No open tasks, but Solution Overview shows open tasks

    Hello,
we have a problem with the "Open Tasks" display. In Solution Overview for our QA systems are 14 open tasks displayed. When we click on the link and go to our Solution, none of our systems has open tasks, cause we re-initialized all QA systems.
But why are there 14 open tasks when all system belonging to this solution have no tasks active and configured? Refreshing in Solution Overview does not help.
    Thanks for your help!
    (Solution Manager 7 with SP-Stack 17)

    Hello Andreas,
thanks for your post. We're already using ST-SER 700_2008_1.
But we found out how this happens. After customizing the tasks, we moved one system to an logical component (same settings, only a new name) inside the same system group. After this the old open tasks appears every time in the solution overview.
    Solution:
Create a new solution and attach system from the old solution to the new solution. You can use the "Copy customizing function", the problem is related to the solution and not to single systems.
Hope this could help someone also.
    Best regards

  • Mail a Central System Administration report

    Hi,
We are started with the configuration of the CSA (Central System Administration) on Solution Manager.
Each check session is available on a HTML and/or MSWord report.
Now I want to mail these report to a mailbox on a regular basis.
I wonder if that is possible.
I cannot find any information about that.
The SAPConnect (SCOT) is well configured.
Hope somebody can help me out
    Thanks
    Paul

Did you ever get this working?   Also have you found a way to combine CSA reports from multiple systems into one report perhaps?

    Have you already seen
[SAP Note 1097862 - Incorrect no. of tasks in SAP Solution Manager overview|http://www.service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1097862]?
It contains also instructions how to fix inconsistencies.

  • Central system Administration : User defined task groups

    Hello,
In SolMan4.0, you can define user-task-groups (e.g. for daily system checks). The definition and processing of those tasks, works.
But they are not visible in the overview screen of the solution.
If there is only 1 user-defined task left, the overview does not show any open tasks
    Any idea's ?
    thx
    Steven

    Hi Udo,
The frequency is set on 'every 3 days'.
We are on ST-400 SP4 (SP6 is not available I guess)
I only defined an entry in the tab 'defining User Task Groups'
and one entry in the tab 'Assigning User Tasks'
The user task itself is visble as 'open' in the list, but not in the overview of the systems (icon with a red + sign)
As I work through the tasks, the red +sign changes into a green sign, at the moment that there is one user-defined task left (all the other 'sap'-tasks are 'done').

  • Central system administration (CSA) in solution monitoring

    Hello,
I want to configure my solution manager for central system administration (CSA) which is a service provided under solution monitoring of transaction dswp.
I couldnt find any documents for this configuration.
Could you please help me out..
    Regards,
    Gurudath Pai

    Hi Gurudath,
If you have an s-user id, step-by-step tutor files with screenshots are available at
https://service.sap.com/rkt-solman > Solution Manager > Solution Manager 7 > Technology Consultant & System Administrator > System Monitoring, Administration
Before configuring CSA, you have to:
    1. Perform basic settings for Solman (use wizard based approach)
    2. Setup the system landscape
    3. Create solution
    4. Now you can configure CSA
    Revert if you need clarifications

  • Not able to find Central System Administration

    Hi,
We are trying to configure the Central System Administration in our Soultion Manager version 4.0 for the Development server running on ECC 6.0.
We have created systems, generated RFC's, defined logical system and and also created Solution Landscape for the Development Server in the Solution Manager System.
But when we go to the transaction DSWP>Eneter the Development Solution Landscape>Solution Minitoring>System Monitoring/ Administration>Operation Setup, We rae unable to find the Central System Administration configure icon.
Please suggest the possible reason for this and a way to view the Central System Administraion configure Icon.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abdul Khyoom A.

    Hi Abdul,
CSA Setup should be visible via this path:
    - dswp
    - open solution landscape
    - choose Operations Setup -> Solution Monitoring -> System Administration
    - here you should see for each system in the Landscape an entry for: Central System Administration
What's the Support Package Level of you SolMan system?
    Best regards,

  • Unable to switch Central System Administration into Change Mode

    Hi,
I am bit rusty on the Solution Manager - Central System Administration.
While experimenting with my Solman system I did the following.
    1. Logged into Solman and started transaction Solution_Manager
    2. Switched to the Solution that has been configured and then followed Operations Setup->Solution Monitoring -> System Administration -> Central System Administration for <My System> (here my system is the system I wish to monitor).
    3. After following the navigation to the selected item as described in step 2, I selected the menu items Session Components->Complete.
    4. After this action of selecting the Complete session from the menu, my Central System Administration for <My System> is continuously showing Display Mode.
I am unable to switch back the system to Change Mode.
Am I missing something ? What needs to be done ?
    Regards,
    Siddhesh

This was the wrong step. By setting the Session Component to "Complete", no further changes are allowed (and you receive a pop-up).
The procedure to reopen the session component is not documented for customers. Please create a customer message on SV-SMG-MON-CSA, open the service connection and provide logon information.
You might state my name in the message, I will then assist the message processor.

  • What constitutes an "open' task?

How does the system decide which tasks to put in this list? Is it based on status, created date? A combination of fields?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    B

I thought that was the case, but when I look at the open tasks on the homepage, it only seems to have ones for the current month. Is this correct?

  • CCMS alert monitoring data for ORACLE is not visible in Central system

    Hello,
I have installed sapccm4x agents in the CI of the Satellite System and it shows in the Central System as sucessfully registered under Agents for remote System and the RFC Connection test is also successfull. When i check in RZ20 in Central System not all the predefined monitors are visible of the Satellite System in the Central System and mainly the MTE element ORACLE. The database,CI and other instances on the Satellite System are installed on separate hardware. As said the database is installed not with the CI but a standalone.
Please let us know what needs to be configured in order to get the MTE element of ORACLE to show in the Central System.
    Thanks,
    Vinod Meno

    Bhudev,
    Thanks for the quick respose..
1.Sapccmsr agent is installed on Java standalone server and it has been sucessfully registered and running and we can grep the process to see its state as well as in the Central System i can see under ccms agents for remote systems it shows and the RFC connection test is also sucessfull.
2.Yes we are sending the data from the DB to CI first, but we also want the data visible in the Central System mainly for the MTE element Oracle. The filesystem of the Satellite Systems shows up in the Central System but i am intrested to capture the MTE element Oracle since we plan to monitor the tablespaces threhold .
I am thinking of opening an SAP message but i am trying to see if i can get some info that can give me the result.

  • Filtering My Open Task in SAP CRM based on Status, Transaction & Partner Function

    Hello
Whenever i create a Task in SAP CRM, it displays that transaction in the My Open Task of all Business Partners involved in that Transaction.
I want to restrict the My Open Tasks based on Transaction Type, Status and Partner Function.
    1) The system should work as it is for all other Tasks but for my Custom Transaction Type the logic should be based on status of the Transaction
    2) When My Open Task component is prepared the system should consider the Status and Partner Function as well i.e. if the status is Approval of Manager, the system should show the Open Task only to the Manager and not other parties.
    3) if the status of the Transaction is Open, the system should only display this Transaction / Task only to Employee Responsible and not to Manager and other people involved in their My Open Tasks.
I have gone through the following post in SCN:
    https://scn.sap.com/thread/2056959
I have implemented the method DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT as per the post but it does not do anything. When i redefine the method GET_QUERY_RESULT and remove everything,it does not prepare any list.
If possible please specify which method needs to be redefined in the component/view CRMCMP_GS_WC/TodaysTasks & if possible please share the code that needs to be maintained in that method.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Method DO_INIT_CONTEXT should be redefined
This should be redifined to get the collections with your required filter criteria.
    * get the collection of entities for the tasks
       lr_col      = get_query_result( gc_status-open ).
If this does not help, Delete the collections which are not required after above selection but before this code.
       me->typed_context->resultnew->collection_wrapper->set_collection( lr_col ).
    Thanks

  • Regarding authorization in solution manager for Central system monitoring

    Hi,
I want to Prevent users from deleting Task logs in central system monitoring
    in solution manager
I have assigned the roles SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER_DISP
But it gives display authorization for everything unable to keep track of
    changes in monitoring
Can anyone please help me to prevent users from deleting task log history
Since I have to keep track of one month data
What can be the suitable role for it ? or what authorization objects i should
make a change to prevent deleting tasklog.
Kindly help me in this regard
    Regards
    Sanjeev.S

    Thanks for your prompt reply
I am not saying about SDDCN
In transction solution_manager  => opertation set up = > central system
    administation
we  will do manual monitoring for sattelite systems in this path. what we monitored
will be entered in task log history.
So what can be the suitable role to prevent the deleting of the task log history.
There is option delete task history. if any one by mistake clicked on that ,all the
records of monitoring will be lost.
so kindly suggest me a suitable solution

  • Central System Administration - Monitoring question

We are trying to setup the Central System Administration/Monitoring in solution manager. However, when we go into the setup of the tasks, such as "Checking for ABAP Short Dumps", when we click on the "Start ST22" button, it doesn't do anything.
Has anyone had an experience with figuring out how to get those buttons to work and to connect directly into the system we are doing the task?
We did follow Note 128447 to setup the Trusted RFC's between the systems, but that doesn't seem to working correctly either. Could that be the reason that this isn't working correctly?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
    Dale Dingmann

    Hi,
May I know how did you configure your CEN monitoring, using agents, or using RFC.
And where you are checking the ABAP dumps on Workcenter?? will you able to get the other details like Job failure, if you click that, wil you able to reach the satellite system.
    and check below are available.
    SM_<SID>CLNT100_READ
    SM_<SID>CLNT100_TWM
    SM_<SID>CLNT100_TRUSTED
if you use RFC monitoring these 2 also required,
    <SID of the monitored_system>_RZ20_COLLECT
    <SID of the monitored system>_RZ20_ANALYZE
    Thanks,
    Jansi

  • Auto email Transmission for Central system administration

    Hi Experts,
I want to setup an auto email transmission for "Central system administration" report in solution manager.
If anyone aware of the process, please guide.
    Thanks,
    Basis Consultant

    Hello,
To setup CSA you will need to perform three important pre-requisites if you already have not done so.
    > Create a Solution Landscape
    > Setup the RFC connections between Solution Manager and the Satellite systems in your Solution Landscape
    > Assign the Solution Monitoring Roles to the users.
In terms of the Automatic Email Notification it is currently not available as a standard functionality.
    Thanks,
    Mark
