CSC Helps Teachers Without Borders

Hi All,
Cisco Support Community invites each of you to join Cisco in lending a hand to Teachers Without Borders.  The non-profit connects teachers to information and each other to create local change on a global scale.  The program is simple.  Each time you TAG a discussion, document, video, blog we'll donate $1 to Teachers Without Borders.  The program will run for 90 days or up to a maximum donation of $15,000 USD, whichever comes first.
Why are tags important?  Tags are a way of categorizing and making content easily searchable.  As a rule of thumb, tag content with words or phrases you might use to search for it later. Over time, as users apply the same tags to various  types of content, it becomes easier to locate that content since it is  grouped into a category represented by the tag.  Now when you do, you'll also be helping Teachers Without Borders.  We'll track our progress here in the community and on Facebook, so you'll always know how we're doing.
Let's continue to do what the Cisco Support Community does best—help others.

I wanted to share a message from Teachers Without Borders about what they did with the money raised from CSC.  You should all be proud for helping this great cause.  It's amazing what we can do as a community!

Your contribution helps us support teachers who, at almost 60 million worldwide, constitute the largest professionally-trained group in the world and are proven multipliers of social change. They are leaders, role models, defenders of human rights, and promoters of peace, social justice, and the power of education. They know who is sick, missing, orphaned by AIDS, swept up into the sex trade or military gangs. They know the children, they provide hope, they are the key to the future. That is why they need our support. Since teachers are multipliers and pillars of strength in their schools and communities, support for a single teacher can foster the well-being of hundreds, even thousands, of learners and their communities.
Your donation makes it possible for Teachers Without Borders to continue to offer teacher development programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Specifically, the funds will support teachers in rural Kenya and Uganda by providing access to relevant face-to-face professional development workshops and resources that can help them better support the students in their care.
